The article titled "Remote endovascular treatment of femoral pseudoaneurysms in hostile groins: technical note" describes an alternative technique for the treatment of femoral pseudoaneurysms. Pseudoaneurysms are false aneurysms that can occur as a complication of endovascular procedures. Conventional treatment includes open surgical repair, but in patients with hostile groins or obesity, the KERBI technique is proposed. This technique uses a left brachial approach to place an endovascular balloon and perform ultrasound-guided thrombin injection. It is suggested that this technique may be an alternative in selected patients, thus avoiding open surgery and its possible complications. [Extracted from the article] more...
