Molybdenum is found in its deposits in the form of low grade ores, and before being used for metallurgical and industrial purposes, it necessarily has to go through the operations of profit and concentration, which release the molybdenum minerals from the associated mineralogical species and increase the content of this metal. The final product of a mineral benefit plant is the high grade concentrate, which contains the mineralogical species almost in its pure state. From the concentrate, through the pyrometallurgical, hydrometallurgical and electrometallurgical processes, molybdenum is obtained in its pure metallic form or in the form of compounds used in industry. The objective of this study is to leach the molybdenite concentrates from other metals such as copper and iron, for this purpose it is proposed to perform leaching in a batch process, for this work we tested samples obtained from the north of our country obtaining the concentrate by means of rougher flotation. Based on previous studies carried out by different investigators, a series of tests is plotted varying certain operating conditions of importance in the leaching process, in order to determine the influence of said variables, as well as to determine the optimal conditions for the same, previous chemical and mineralogical characterization of each sample.
