This study argues that the disruptive transition of the auto industry toward a new industrial paradigm of electrification and new mobilities is generating a new product life cycle (plc) that favors investment in countries like Mexico. The confluence of this with companies' new nearshoring strategies, the break-up of chains, and the ongoing wars result in making Mexican artificial intelligence (ai) more attractive. The author puts forward a conceptual model for capturing the change in the plc of the auto industry in transition, plus another for understanding the change in the country's industrial and labor regime as a long-term socio-technical transition. So, with evidence of the evolution of global and Mexican ai, and reconstructing the trajectories of Ford and Tesla, he illustrates why Mexico will come out the biggest winner in North America in the industry's radical reorientation. En este artículo estudiamos las controversias sobre la creación de una red eléctrica en Chile que un conjunto de ingenieros mantuvo entre 1935 y 1939. Estas surgieron en conferencias dadas en el Instituto de Ingenieros de Chile. Nuestro objetivo principal es probar que dichas controversias (centradas en el rol del Estado, el mercado y la infraestructura en el desarrollo de la red eléctrica en Chile) definieron una política estatal energética nacional. Estas discusiones también muestran el despliegue de una red sociotécnica y el papel que tuvieron los ingenieros en las políticas de Estado. Así, abordamos un caso propio de los estudios de ciencia, tecnología y sociedad para destacar los vínculos de lo político y lo técnico en el ámbito de la electrificación. This article deals about different periods where the process of power generation was developed before 1959 in Cuba. In this way a literature review was conducted about this interesting topic where production of energy developed burning some fuels for production of lighting. An investigation was made to determine the result of electrified furrow irrigation in the case of the tobacco plant.The experience was held in an area near el Caney, Santiago de Cuba, on a brown soil without carbonates. The results show that electrified irrigation increments the crop yield in about 20 % with respect to the diesel-based irrigation. The fuel is eliminated and replaced by electric energy with a very favorable consumption index. The outcoming benefit and benefit-cost relationship were very superior when compared to the diesel-based irrigation. The technique also eliminates all contaminant discharge to the environment. One of the areas that had greater development and success during the Porfiriato was that of the electrification of the country. In only thirty years, Mexico could generate sufficient energy to supply the most of its industry and to light Mexico City in a magnificent way, which was shown during the festivals of the Centennial of the Independence. This article is about the research project "Electrification of the suburban railroads. Case study Havana City", which belongs to the National Technical Scientific Program: Sustainable Energetic Development. This study had as its main objectives the description, configuration and analysis of the technical condition of the railroads network.
