Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María (UTFSM) borns by the philantropic vision of Federico Santa María. It is in Valparaíso, but it also has presence in Santiago and Concepción. The internationalization of Chilean universities is high in the case of research, however, the physical presence of Chilean universities in another country it is almost nil. This article proposes the internationalization of UTFSM in Cuyo region (Mendoza Province, San Juan Province and San Luis Province), based on the historical relation between Chile and Argentina, even before the independent process. Placing research on the Society - Nature articulations at the center, a brief account of the main works of French authors in Latin America from the 16th to the 21st century is made. It's noted that most of the French research on this subject has been carried out in Africa, Asia and Oceania, but those that have been carried out in our region are also highlighted, especially in recent decades, from two leading institutions, the National Museum of Natural History-Museum of Man and the College of France. The purposes of this essay are: a) provide information on the theoretical-methodological perspectives that various French authors have developed, to contribute to their knowledge by researchers and students in our region, b) maintain an academic and exchange dialogue with one of the most interesting trends or schools in the field of Society-Nature studies, c) stimulate Latin American thought based on our own background, realities and perspectives, but open to dialogue and encouragement of the diversity of existing academic communities. Research and work on the subject mentioned, carried out together with the indigenous peoples, afro-descendants, peasants, fishermen, artisans and shepherds of Latin America are very important for the continuity of biocultural diversity and to face climate change, which is why they must be promoted and renewed with diverse perspectives. During academic exchanges, students are in contact with the linguistic landscape (LL). In this paper, we aimed to characterize the linguistic attitudes of Spanish as SL or FL students towards the linguistic taboo (LT). For that, we collected samples of tabooed signs detected inside the restrooms of a university. The data was used in surveys of students who were in face-to-face or online language immersion. With the samples collected, we describe the tabooed LL with which those who carried out the face-to-face exchange were in contact. The results of the surveys made it possible to investigate the students' knowledge of tabooed expressions in Spanish and, in addition, to characterize their linguistic attitudes towards LT. We conclude that the students, although they show a predisposed linguistic attitude to deal with LT, lack the communicative competence that would allow them to be competent users in relation to taboo expressions. Thus, this type of experience justifies the need to include the LT as part of the contents of the Spanish as a SL or FL class. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study investigated the uses of social networks in secondary and middle school students. It is a quantitative research and was carried out through the application of an online survey to students from institutions in Cúcuta - Colombia, and measured variables of temporality, spatiality and exploration, to determine the rewards that adolescents obtain when navigating these. Among the most relevant results, the most widely used networks are WhatsApp, YouTube and Facebook. Also, that only 4.7 percent of adolescents use these networks to expose their feelings. In conclusion, social networks are currently assumed by students, as tools that enhance not only their interpersonal relationships and recreational or entertainment activities, but also the exchange of educational material and the formation of academic work groups, as well as learning and the communication. Academic mobility is a process that has acquired increasing visibility in recent decades, favored by the articulation of global logics, links and networks that operate at various scales. The dissemination of academic offers offered by various programs and agreements, agreed between Higher Education Institutions, has been one of the main factors that explain this type of mobility, framed within skilled migration. The configuration of mobility spaces depends on institutional agreements, scholarships, quality standards, institutional prestige and competitiveness in the scientific domain. The objective of this study is to analyze the current trends in skilled migration in the context of the Internationalization of Higher Education, taking as a case study the Universidad Nacional del Sur (UNS) for the period 2007-2019. A mixed quali-quantitative methodology was adopted through semi-structured interviews and the processing of official data available at the UNS Internationalization Undersecretary. Although academic mobility in Argentina is a representative phenomenon within Latin American migratory movements, this dynamism is still not very significant in comparison with other regions, such as the European Union, where academic exchanges are more consolidated. The autonomy of teaching in the University is fundamental for the growth of academia and research. Nevertheless, this singularity can become an obstacle for students' exchanges, degrees homologation and in general, for the adequate participation among students-researchers-teachers of different universities (inside and outside the country). The strengthening of educational programs arises mainly from the research processes. Today, in a globalized society, it is increasingly common to find students and teachers who seek academic and research exchanges to expand their academic and professional profile. However, there are few who manage to find universities with similar interest and homogeneous and teaching processes. This article describes in detail, after two years of collecting qualitative and quantitative information, a common framework on the teaching of research in graduate programs in education. This framework seeks to open the discussion among academics about how valuable and rigorous the research process in graduate programs should be in the University. Introduction. The number of international students who make university exchanges in Chilean universities has increased considerably. A large number of them come from countries whose native language is not Spanish. Objectives. To know the difficulties of international students (from three disciplinary fields: Humanities, Social Sciences, and Engineering) as perceived by academics, and define the representative academic genres that students should produce during the university exchange. Materials and methods. A quantitative study using a descriptive transectional design was carried out by applying an online questionnaire to 44 academics from a Chilean university. Results. The main difficulty observed by the academics corresponds to a deficient Spanish level, and regarding the representative genres that they must produce, in the written genres stand out: essay (Human Sciences) and laboratory report (Sciences of Engineering) and in oral genres: debates (Human Sciences) and oral presentation (Sciences of Engineering and Human Sciences). Conclusion. Universities need to define and require a Spanish level that allows international students (non-native Spanish) to perform sufficiently in the academic field. For the exchange or loan of educational resources at the inter-institutional level, both public and private entities have their own procedures and specifications, being common in all the long period of time required for the approval of a loan and the need to move to said institution to perform the query according to the availability of defined time. The objective of this paper is to present a software design that allows the transaction of academic resources between two educational entities, in order to reduce time in the execution of the process. The implementation of the model is based on the proposed stages of the Scientific Method and the Unified Process, applying electronic negotiation specifications defined in ebXML, to define, through agreements and profiles, conditions of use of the requested resource. By implementing the software model, the execution times of the business process from several months to a couple of minutes are shortened when all the exchange is carried out by electronic means, in addition to communication without geographical limitations, favoring both students and entities for the exchange of intellectual property remotely. The Institute of Cybernetics, Mathematics, and Physics (ICIMAF) held a summer school in January 2022, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), in collaboration with the Goethe University of Frankfurt and the GSI - Heavy Ion Research Center. The event brought together experts in nuclear physics and astrophysics to complement the training of young Cuban physicists. Additionally, the II Workshop on the Teaching of Basic Sciences was held at the Technological University of Havana, with the participation of national and international delegates to discuss the training in basic sciences for engineers and architects in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda. The aim of this paper is to analyze the origin of the Argentine-Germanic cultural institution founded in Buenos Aires in late 1922. We study the causes behind its foundation and competition and relationship during the 1920s with the Institute of the University of Paris in Buenos Aires and the Spanish Cultural Institution. The role of education in the international relations has not being subject to study until recent times. This article intends to contribute to palliate this lack in the historiography. The article is organised around two main parts. The first one offers a revision that the subject is acquiring in parallel with a renew concept of international relations. In the actual university context, mobility is a key indicator to evaluate the quality of its institutions. The fact that students may complete part of their universities studies in another Higher Education institutions, stands not only for an enriching experience in the academic area, but also in the personal area, an essential element in educating citizens with a clear international perspective. Up till now, mobility was only possible with the student moving physically. But nowadays, with the incorporation of the information and communication technologies, a new chance is open: the virtual mobility. Virtual mobility opens the access of any student to any university independently of their geographical location. Both models of mobility have advantages but also have limitations. Together, and complementing each other, are useful tools to extend the cooperation among universities and, specially, to educate their graduates according to the new professional requirements. The academic interchange between the Construction Faculty from the Orient University and the Architecture School from Sevilla, made during the last course with the collaboration of the City Conservator Office and financed by the Junta de Andalucía, take their first phase in September 2004 in Havana, in order to know this city with several guided walks along different urban sectors, which represent the five centuries urban history, collected in the book Aprendiendo de La Habana. This interchange was developed in five phases, with a common programme which studied the Santiago de Cuba urban problems in different scales, specially in the ring around the historic city, with projects about urban structure and others. Two of them were developed in Santiago de Cuba and Sevilla like two seminaries. The author comments on various aspects of the study, including quantitative and qualitative information regarding educational policies related to mobility in the European Union.

El artículo considera la implementación de una red social de Internet llamada Red Mexicana de Arqueología (RMA). Se analiza el propósito para el sitio web como un foro del intercambio de información entre profesionales y personas interesadas en la arqueología. Según el autor, la red tiene casi 1 600 miembros y el sitio web recibe 2 200 visitas por día. Se menciona que la RMA empezó una tendencia para la formación de redes similares en otros lugares de México y en España.
