Transmedia narratives represent a novel form of communication and information in the era of media convergence. Media companies, producers, and the audience are immersed in a model that allows a story to expand across various platforms, promoting its continuous development and fostering active audience participation. The purpose of this study is to conduct a review of the most recent literature on transmedia narratives and their relationship with media, considering articles published between 2012 and 2022 in journals indexed in the Scopus database. Through bibliometric analysis, various aspects are explored, including the number of articles, most cited documents, authors’ H-index, journal impact, article languages, sponsors, and other relevant elements. In this way, it is confirmed that, although there have been significant periods in scientific production, there is still a knowledge gap to be addressed. The phenomenon of ultra-mediations is made up of the evolution of media ecology, convergence, and hyper-mediation, all constituted based on technology and the human being as the architect of its development. Just as in economic theory, in ultra-mediations, networks generate behavioral patterns and interactions influence the results of coordination and cooperation. So, a diversity of actions is sustainable with certain network structures, but not with others; Therefore, people function as nodes due to differences in their connections and their history will depend on the network to which they belong. This research addresses the bases of ultra-mediations and, subsequently, analyzes how Ecuador integrates into this phenomenon through the exploration of variables collected in the 2019 Multiple Purpose Survey and the 2022 Employment Survey of the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC). It is concluded that, in Ecuador, the pandemic reduced the gap in the use of social networks; which can be interpreted as a better assimilation and participation of connections between nodes and users in ultra-mediations; However, Internet penetration remains the first obstacle to creating more egalitarian development. In this paper, we study wage convergence and flexibility in the labour market of Argentinean provinces. We first review historical determinants and propose a theoretical interpretation: the higher the level of convergence in wages, the lower the convergence in employment and eventually in the product level, because of the low competitiveness of the Interior Area, which conspires, via a restriction of the balance of payments, against their growth. Then, we empirically analyze wage convergence and the degree of wage flexibility in provincial labour markets for the period 1997-2013. We find evidence of real wage convergence and low wage flexibility. This indicates that wages do not depend on provincial factors such as labour productivity or local unemployment but on national determinants such as centralized wage agreements. The objective of this paper is to present a preliminary comparative analysis of the telecommunications and television systems in Mexico and Brazil. We begin by a brief presentation of the economic development problematic in both countries, in an historical perspective. Then, we present the evolution of both markets in the two countries, their organization models, structures and interrelations. This document uses the Phillips and Sul (2009) test to assess the hypothesis of convergence on educational achievement of public and private schools, at the municipal level, for the period 1980-2014. Even though the normativity and provision of public education is homogeneous across the country, we find that the educational attainment of the municipalities do not show evidence of global convergence. However, we find the existence of six convergence clubs. The first two clubs, which include the municipalities with the best performance, are mainly private institutions in the major metropolitan areas, while the latter three clubs are composed primarily for public institutions located on the Pacific coast and in the Caribbean region. Objective: To study absolute convergence for the Mexican states during 1980-2020. Methodology: Panel data models are used with the technique used by Barro (2012). Results: Very low presence of absolute convergence throughout the period with sigma procyclical divergence. Limitations: The data is deflated with the national price index, which may cause regional differences not to be captured. Conclusions: Periods of growth in the economy amplify the dispersion of income levels, while periods of contraction have the opposite effect with marked, very unequal regional growth patterns that have led to the consolidation of the northern and central-northern borders and the stagnation of the south. The Spanish spoken in the city of Malaga could currently be represented by means of a reliable and compact theoretical model from the works that have been in charge of describing, analyzing and explaining this linguistic variety of southern Spain for more than twenty-five years (Villena Ponsoda, 1996; Ávila Muñoz, 1994, among others). The constants observed in all these works allow us to affirm that the speakers of this city move in a continuum of variation in which the dynamics of convergence and divergence from the standard are governed by underlying prestige patterns that condition the linguistic uses analyzed. This work represents the situation described from a multidimensional model that overlaps various planes: on the one hand, the one corresponding to the vernacular-standard dimension; on the other, the one that draws a dimension governed by values corresponding to the regional standard solidly established in western Andalusia. The article presents an overview of some theoretical discussions related to the way in which public state television faces digital convergence. Based on the retroprogressive philosophy and the studies encompassed in the metaphorical theory of Media Ecology, a new perspective on the development and evolution of information and communication technologies is born. It aims to eradicate the extinction of the media as simple distribution technologies and accounts for the coexistence and coevolution of media species that, over time, have contributed to the emergence of new ways of communicating. That is why today digital communication technologies are highly disruptive, but, at the same time, they retake features of pre-existing media that seemed buried but that today survive in them and even collaborate in their heyday. The purpose of this article is to describe the bibliographic foundations of technological convergence of communication in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) in order to analyze the feasibility of the use and application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the communication activities of the region's society. The methodology used for the design of the article was documentary research, which made it possible to compile information from primary and secondary sources to consolidate a document characterized by its content on the technological convergence of communication in LAC. Among the results found in the literature, the technological gap in LAC countries in terms of access to the Internet and other types of technology such as 5G for mobile technology is highlighted; only CDMA and 3G or 4G technology is covered in some countries, a problem stemming from the lack of policies and laws regulating access to technology, especially in rural areas. The conclusions refer to the need for LAC countries to achieve technological convergence in communications in order to have opportunities for development in all areas, but especially in the exchange of information and education. Granada and Málaga belong to the same community: Andalusia. Basing on PRESEEA, we analyze the variable expression of pronominal subjects in both cities. We note that there are similarities in the expression of linguistic factors, although the overall pronominal rate is different: 17.7% for Granada and 27.4% for Málaga. Such percentage differences cannot be explained by the phonetic ambiguity that arise from the loss of /-s/. The expression of the non-specific "you" provides only a partial explanation, that has to be completed with the existence of different communicative styles in the expression of the subject pronouns that represent the participants in the interview (you, I, we). Objective/Context: This article aims to explore conceptual, theoretical and analytical tools to study the diffusion of cultural diplomacy practices towards trade and cooperation spheres/fields. The reconfiguration of the global scene has generated a myriad of spheres, actors and practices that have transformed, expanded and renewed the diplomatic field; nevertheless, this aspect has been scarcely explored in current diplomatic analyses. Methodology: This article presents a qualitative comparative case study. We conducted semi-structured interviews and analyzed documentary sources to investigate the diffusion process of cultural diplomacy practices to international cooperation agencies and the bi-national chambers of commerce of South Korea and Japan in Colombia (2009-2018). We analyze how and why this diffusion process has occurredand what its implications are. Conclusions: We found that the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the countries deploying cultural diplomacy are the source of the explored diffusion processes. In the analyzed cases, learning and emulation were the diffusion mechanisms identified. As a result of this diffusion process, we argue that there has been aconvergence among different agendas. The institutions studied have become cultural diplomats because they have succeeded in blending their interests with the foreign policy objectives of the states they represent. Originality: At the theoretical level, our research findings extend preliminary approaches to the processes of diffusion within International Studies. The following essay proposes to reflect on the work of three artists, Antonio Dagnino, Óscar Gutiérrez and Rhonal Suárez. These artists converge to reproduce the female image, but also their correspondences are found in the fact that they are Professors of the Faculty of Art, of the University of Los Andes (ULA). We highlight three works by each one of them, especially some nudes present in the visual language of Dagnino and Gutiérrez and, the sensual women that Suárez shows us in his palimpsests. The essay is presented in five parts, namely: the first, a kind of introduction. In a second part, we will approach the work of Antonio Dagnino. In the third part, we try, through the drawings of Óscar Gutiérrez, to understand the female nude that serves to illustrate a poetry collection by Carlos Danez, called Carnal (2004). This article looks at the recent development of cultural policy in Malta in the context of the membership of the University of Malta in the SEA-EU network. The introductory part of the narrative engages closely with preparations in joining the European Union in 2004 that included the setting up of various governance and funding institutions, those related to the European Capital of Culture in 2018, and the impact of COVID-19 on cultural practice and creative communities. This first section, which provides a critical analysis of the sector, is followed by the second, core part of the text, which reports on the various aspects of policy, higher education programmes and manifestations (through festivals, exhibitions and multi-media expressions) that relate to academics and researchers based at the University of Malta and satellite institutions. The paper concludes that while a great deal of effort has been done on many cultural fronts, and many initiatives taken, the relationship between the University of Malta, its academic and research members, and society at large, is largely loose and project-based rather than policy-oriented. The research aims to analyze the degree of impact of institutional quality on the level of convergence in the world through a two-step approach. First, we identified convergence clubs using the log-t test in 176 countries during 1996-2018. Second, through the ordered logistic regression we investigate the probability of belonging to a certain club, according to institutional quality. The research presents two fundamental contributions. First, a different methodological approach. Second, there are six clubs and two determining factors for a high level of convergence, while the rest of the factors increase the probability of belonging to a middle-income group. This article examines the dynamic stability of the stochastic process, using the trade exchanges between Mexico and China during the period 1993-2019. The methodology consists of applying stationarity tests and estimating an autoregressive model in both annual and monthly figures. Despite persistent fluctuations registered in the series of the analysis, the variance presents a significant reduction across the study period, while the solutions to the resulting equations confirm that the trade flows between the two countries converge to a stability level of 17.5, measured using the ratio between Mexican imports and exports with China.
