Based on the selection of three neighbourhoods in the municipality of Madrid with different characteristics: a middle-class neighbourhood, a central historic district undergoing change and a vulnerable neighbourhood, this study analyses the diversity and complexity of ties and attachments in the local space using qualitative methodology. The differential characteristics of each of these neighborhoods allow the various manifestations of the sense of belonging and the way in which residents develop meaningful connections with their local environment to be examined. Special attention is paid to the dynamics of social interaction, local support, neighbourhood solidarity, the practices through which individuals build their identity and find stability based on these ties and also to the way in which female leadership affects these processes. This analysis allows us to better understand how people, despite increasing individualisation and changes in traditional social structures, and in a context of permanent change and uncertainty, still value community ties of varying intensity that provide them with a certain sense of anchorage. The objective of this research was to determine whether the Haitian migrants who arrived in Tijuana since 2016 have established themselves permanently and whether this has led to the consolidation of the first Afro-descendant community in northern Mexico. To this end, a survey and semi-structured interviews were designed and implemented to gather information on their settlement and integration with the local community. This was measured by their ability to integrate socially and economically, the practice of their own culture and the incorporation of elements of the local culture, as well as satisfaction with employment, salary, and the capacity and intention to acquire movable and immovable property. The study concludes that there are elements confirming the consolidation of the Haitian community, which also positions Tijuana as one of the Mexican cities with the greatest social and cultural diversity. In this article we problematize the notion of roots from the perspectives of young people in postpandemic rural Argentina, focusing on the somatic and symbolic ways in which young people inhabit rural worlds. We wonder about the ways of inhabiting rural youth today, as well as the constitution of youth identities linked to symbols, aesthetics and rural corporalities. For this, we present a comparative analysis of two cases of young people who live in scattered rural areas of the northeast and Argentine Patagonia. We consider information from two qualitative investigations that combine the use of interviews, observations, and workshops with young people. The analysis is organized in three dimensions. In the first place, we characterize the future projects of young people and the carnal and digit-carnal youth displacements and spatialities between the countryside, the city and the town. Secondly, we wonder about the somatics of rooting and uprooting from a phenomenological perspective, contemplating emotive, practical, and performative ways of inhabiting the territories and the indigenous and mestizo selves. The article "Between Waiting and Hope: Temporal Dimensions of Venezuelan Migration in Chile (2020-2022)" reflects on the experience of Venezuelan migrants in Chile and highlights the importance of hope and waiting in their lives. Through in-depth interviews, the complexity of integration is observed in a context of social and economic asymmetries. It is suggested that Chile can be both a destination and a transit country due to uncertainty about the future. Migrants face challenges in the search for work and recognition, but maintain hope for a better future. The article also raises questions about integration and the rights of migrants in Chile. This work arises from the need to investigate the landscape as an engine of artistic production in Spain in contemporary times. Since the 1960s, art has focused its attention on natural spaces, addressing discourses of roots/uprooting, of an introspective / contemplative nature, that question border policies, ecological activism, and defense of rural heritage. Landscape term, as the social construct it is, needs to be framed in order to be observed. Landscape hypothesis is proposed as a generator of identities, borders, and territory susceptible to legislation and reflection. This reflection article aims to analyze the restitution of land to victims of the armed conflict in Colombia from the concept of Rooting, approaching some notions of it, through the rhizomatic theory of the concepts of Deleuze and Guattari and presenting an introduction to its application in the Colombian legal system through nomoarchical and principlism, analyzed by Valencia (1996). The objective of this work is to analyze the perceptions of residents regarding the variables involved in developing Integrated Rural Tourism (IRT), as well as analyze how those variables affect said development. Therefore, we have analyzed the specific case of the residents of Tierra de Palmares, which is an area involved in a tourism development project. The residents constitute one of the main actors involved in the successful development of this type of tourism. The descriptive analysis performed as well as the Principal Components analysis shows the residents perceive the existence of key variables for reaching the desired type of tourism. Thus, it is verified that there is cooperation between the agents involved and the embedded, endogenous and complementary nature of the tourism activities that are developed, which activities allow empowering the residents. Moreover, it seems that positive effects are being generated by tourism, given that the existence of economic, sociocultural and environmental sustainability is perceived. The results of the regressions performed show that the effects of all these variables on the development of IRT are positive, although they should be analysed more in depth. Thus, the positive effect on IRT of the existence of information networks, the empowerment of residents, the development of tourism as complementary to traditional activities and the sharing of resources with tourists is detected. However, the inclusion of sustainability in the regression dilutes the effect exerted by complementarity and sharing. These results demonstrate the need to establish indirect relationships between all potentially determinant variables of TRI, which would improve the understanding of their development. The economic recession that began in 2007 has particularly affected Spain, especially due to the increase in unemployment and the reduction in social earnings. On the contrary to what was predicted, most of the immigrants in Spain have not returned to their countries of origin. However, there are differences between nationalities. In this article, we focus on the Moroccans who show clear signs of being rooted in Spain, how the crisis has affected their living conditions and what aspects were taken into consideration when deciding to return or stay in Spain. However, in a setting of post-economic recession a new cycle begins in their migratory projects in Spain in which descendants play an essential role. The internal conflict in Colombia that covers the last half century has produced a number of human rights violations, almost 10% of the population has been displaced from their dwelling places with serious economic and social consequences. At some point displaced people change their status; however, the losses for the country are incalculable. The Constitutional Court has issued judgments that recognize responsibility of the State and forces it to repair as far as possible to people in a situation of displacement, PSD, a situation that is assumed from several approaches. This paper derived from a doctoral research at the University of Nebrija, Spain, and describes the types of migration and difference between refugees and IDPs, presents a theoretical approach to the phenomenon of displacement, how violence has uprooted peasants and ethnic minorities, and shows some figures and the ways in which the State addresses this humanitarian crisis. Because of their boundary condition, rururban areas are subject to changes wrought by urban growth and suffer the impacts associated with the process of globalization. Both factors impose forms of appropriation and use of resources that require residents to change their daily routines and adopt new strategies. This article characterizes the functions, land use, and socio-spatial practices of Bahia Blanca rururban residents, as well as the impact of global-urban pressures and the sense of belonging in their willingness to change their lifestyle and the land use destination. The joint analysis of individual or family strategies of daily and residential mobility -which is hereby proposed- aims at better understanding both processes, in a context where the home appears not only as an origin or a destination but also as a resource for mobility. This approach allows the observation of the eventual substitution or complementation effects between both areas -daily and residential-, that is to say, when daily travels compensate or, on the contrary, follows the residential mobility pattern. The paper analyzes the integration of the multiple dimensions of mobility, in search for key principles through which meaning is conveyed at the same time by the relationship with the territory, the decisions related to the extension and intensity of mobility, as well as life projects and ethical values.
