La autora reflexiona sobre su trabajo en historiografía de la mujer en Argentina a partir de su encuentro con el feminismo durante su exilio en Brasil a finales de la década de 1970. Los temas discutidos incluyen el inicio de los estudios feministas en las universidades de Argentina tras el reinicio de la democracia en 1983, la situación del feminismo a principios del siglo XXI y los aportes de la filósofa estadounidense Judith Butler.
