In this article a literature review is carried out with the aim of analysing the current state of research on public policies on eco-innovation in tourism, to provide a knowledge base on the potential and nature of this object of study. A content analysis of the publications in the Web of Science database was carried out. Starting from open-access articles under a structured search equation, 182 articles from the period between 1991 and 2021 were identified; these were subsequently analysed and classified under the Cloud of Science and Tree of Science software. The results show that the study of eco-innovation and its relationship with public policies in tourism contexts is most advanced in Asian countries, and the literature in Latin American contexts is still at an incipient stage. Research on policies that promote environmental care and regulatory policies that improve ecological processes is identified, highlighting the importance of practices and operational factors. It is concluded that studies on remedial, punitive, and macro-regulatory policies for environmental science and technology are absent. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The concept of mental health literacy (MHL) refers to knowledge and beliefs about mental disorders. Improving MHL can have a significant impact on individuals and society at large. The aim of the study was to review the scientific production related to MHL, analyze its characteristics, and identify the strengths and weaknesses of the proposed interventions. A systematic review of the literature was carried out by searches in the databases Web of Science (WOS) and Scopus. One hundred and six articles have been selected and analyzed. The results are organized into 4 categories: Conceptualization of MHL and how to materialize it, educational programs, MHL assessment instruments, and studies on MHL levels. The concept of MHL is disseminated around the world despite the lack of conceptual consensus. It is materialized mainly through educational interventions with diverse methodologies. Although there are limitations in measuring MHL, in general, the levels are low in different population groups and on specific mental health problems. In short, specific actions that require further development of applicable programs for the information and prevention of mental health problems were found as a priority. One of the main reasons for abandonment of contact lenses (LC) corresponds to the symptoms of discomfort. The lid wiper epitheliopathy (LWE) is an epithelial alteration of a region of the palpebral margin called the lid wiper (LW). In recent years, such condition has been frequently evidenced in LC wearers, which has suggested that it could be a possible clinical indicator of interactions between the lens and the ocular surface; thus, they may lead to the development of different symptoms, and eventually to the drop out of the treatment. The objective of the current study is to develop a qualitative review of the literature, in order to present the different findings or concepts identified to date that support the association between LC wearer and LWE. Therefore, we pursue to identify the consensuses that have been reached, and the main recommendations for future research. As materials and methods, it was implemented a bibliographic search in PubMed, ScienceDirect, EBSCO, Springer, Cochrane, Scopus and Web of Science databases, having as inclusion criteria that they were original research articles that meet the "picor" criterion and the CASPe methodological quality criteria. 245 articles were reviewed, and 226 were excluded, as they did not meet the inclusion criteria, as well as 4 that did not meet the methodological quality. Also, in 19 articles it was evidenced that LWE is an epithelial alteration associated with symptoms of discomfort, and with the use of LC. However, LWE also occurs in non-LC users with symptoms, although less frequently, suggesting that the use of LC acts as a risk factor for epitheliopathy in LC wearers, and not as the only factor involved. While, tear instability is the main factor involved in the development of LWE in LC wearers and non-wearers. In addition, LWE and lid parallel conjunctival fold (LIPCOF) are associated with each other, and are in turn related to symptoms of discomfort in LC wears. In sum, the evidence supports mechanical trauma due to increased friction as the possible underlying mechanism. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article reviews the international state of the art of research on the development of scientific thinking in secondary school students. In order to systematize the research perspectives of scientific publications in this field into thematic areas and conceptual approaches, an analytical literature review was carried out by mapping the bibliographic information of research articles about this topic published between 2011 and 2021 and indexed in the Redalyc, Scopus, and Web of Science databases. The results describe the relationship between three conceptual approaches (i.e., political perspective, pedagogicaldidactic perspective, and philosophical perspective) and eleven thematic areas. They also reveal the existing interest of secondary education in operationalizing scientific thinking and strengthening the development of skills, abilities, attitudes, and competences using pedagogical and didactic strategies articulated with political and curricular guidelines. This should enable students to apprehend general and particular domains of science and contribute to the construction of a global scientific culture. It is concluded that the development of high school students' scientific thinking should be consistent with their social, political, and ethical needs and deepen their conceptual understanding, due to its historical, complex, and multidisciplinary nature. Dental caries is the first oral health problem worldwide, being one of the most prevalent oral pathologies in all ages. The research addresses their condition in childhood, due to the dependence that infants have on their parents. For this reason, it is considered to be the most affected age group with this disease. The objective is to determine the relationship between the level of education and the socioeconomic factor of the parents in the prevalence of dental caries in school children through a literature review. Descriptive research was carried out, through a documentary analysis in the Web of Science database between 2017 and 2021. To carry out the review, the PICO methodology was used as support, from the following terms of interest: Parents, Education, Economic Status and Dental Caries and their Spanish counterparts. The results obtained indicate that the socioeconomic factor and the education of the parents are variables that are closely related to the prevalence of dental caries in children. Similarly, the existence of both variables increases the probability of exposure to dental caries. The conclusions drawn allow us to affirm that, in general, children with a lower economic position and with parents with a low educational level have a greater experience and severity of dental caries. Develop a literature review of the use of metaverses and virtual reality focused on teaching. This article was developed under an exploratory, descriptive methodology; using the following categories: metaverses, virtual reality, and teaching, a search was made in the Science, Scopus and web Science databases, obtaining one hundred reference articles. Education is going through stages of improvement, where the use of new tools helps to promote education. The use of virtual platforms focused on virtual reality, and metaverses are, in essence, the tools for the bestcataloged modern teaching, where this proved to be useful for education.
