This paper examines the relationship among income-conditioned transfer programs, universal child-care benefits, and women's paid labor. The proposal aims to establish a dialogue between the complex factors intertwined in the so-called "labor market" and such gender assumptions as underlie the program, with the purpose of contributing better, innovative proposals.
