This study compares the quality of responses to eight matrix questions (36 variables) included in a survey administered on paper and by computer in two equivalent samples. Three criteria have considerated: 1) the average of non-response questions for each mode; 2) the repetition (or not) of the same response in different question items (differentiation); and, 3) the choice of extreme and middle response alternatives on the scale (easy responses). The paper questionnaires provided a greater number of non-response questions, with no change in non-response rates when taking into account scale range: 4, 5, 10 and 11 categories. The purpose of this system is to satisfy the expectations and requirements of the customers of computer assembly, which is a procedure that consists on correctly placing all the parts of a computer in order such that everything works efficiently. Then, it will be able to install the operating system and other programs according to the user's needs, thus a computer selection is based on information on compatibility and assembly of computers. The information has been compiled from books, scientific papers, and based on research tools such as: surveys, interviews, for the collection of information. The development of this system serves as a tool that in the future may bring some comfort to users with little knowledge of hardware to make purchases according to the needs and customer's economy, which is an important aspect in people's daily lives. The Expert System of requirements and compatibility in assembly of computers realizes what an expert engineer in assembly of computers can do, but the system does it in a fast way and it is always available. In this paper a model of requirements for supporting the construction of embedded systems is presented. Currently, the methodologies of Engineering of Requirements, in this field, do not let continuity in their development process, since they have a strong orientation to design stage and a weaker emphasis on the analysis stage. Furthermore, such methodologies provide guidelines for treating requirements after being obtained. However, they do not propose tools such as a model of requirements for obtaining them. This paper is the result of a research project which objective is to propose engineering of requirements methodology for embedded systems analysis. The model of proposed requirements and its use are illustrated through an application case consisting on obtaining requirements for a movement sensing system, embedded in a home alarm system. The purpose of this work is to contribute to a critical analysis of what has been called 21st century socialism. Socialist regimes of the 20th century distorted the theoretical Marxian economic model partly because of the impossibility of socialist economic calculation. Allin Cottrell and Paul Cockshott argue that in 21st century socialism, supported by several political parties, social movements and some Latin-American governments, the impossibility of economic calculation can be overcome by the use of computers and the Internet. In this paper we offer criticism of economic and political aspects of Cottrell and Cockshott's theoretical design. Our discussion of the economic aspects is inspired by market socialism, while our discussion of political aspects draws on debates surrounding political or egalitarian liberalism.
