The objective of the research was to analyze the role of machine data learning in systematic literature reviews. The Natural Language Processing technique called topic modeling was applied to a set of titles and abstracts collected from the Scopus database. Specifically, the Latent Dirichlet Assignment (LDA) technique was used, from which it was possible to discover and understand the underlying themes in the collection of documents. The results showed the usefulness of the technique used in the exploratory literature review, by allowing the results to be grouped by theme. Likewise, it was possible to identify the specific areas and activities where machine learning has been applied the most, in relation to literature reviews. It is concluded that the LDA technique is an easy-to-use strategy and whose results allow a wide collection of documents to be approached in a systematic and coherent manner, notably reducing the review time. Introduction. The current globalized world expresses important challenges for nursing care, so that the suffering is recognized and relieved taking into account the patient’s culture. Objective. To describe the fin¬dings of research into experiences of hospital nurses about compassion and care to culturally diverse people. Method. Systematic review. The searches were conducted in: Web of Science, CINAHL, OVID Nursing, Evidence Based Medicine Reviews, Medline (PubMed), PsycARTICLES, Virtual Health Library, CUIDEN Plus, TripDatabase, Epistemonikos and Descubridor de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. A total of 83 searches were conducted with MeSH, DeCS and natural language terms, including research or review articles with qualitative approaches, published in Spanish, English or Portuguese. Results. 42 papers were included, with a predominance of phenomenological, ethnographic and grounded theory designs. These reflect the link between compassion and care for culturally diverse people, developed through three themes, and 14 sub-themes. Conclusion. The experiences of nurses and patients are diverse, but the connection between compassion and cultural competence in nursing care in the clinical setting is visible. Introduction: The aim of the systematic review was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of rituximab for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis patients, as part of the Consensus on the use of rituximab in rheumatoid arthritis. A document with evidence based recommendations5. Methods: All papers published from January 2003 to September 2009 were reviewed in a systematic way in Medline, EMBASE and Cochrane Library database. The Mesh terms used were: «Rituximab», «Rheumatoid arthritis», «and Anti-CD20», «Biologics». The abstracts of the EULAR and ACR congress of 2003 to 2009 were also reviewed, as well data of Roche Pharma. Two rheumatologists (BHC y MGH) made the bibliographic review by title and summary of each work. Two authors (BHC y RAA) selected them by quality according the GRADE SCALE after they review. The data were collected in paper. The outcomes evaluated were of efficacy in agreement with OMERACT13 (Outcome Measurements in Rheumatoid Arthritis Clinical Trials) and The Musculoskeletal Cochrane Study Group. The outcomes of safety evaluated were: mortality, severe infections, severe adverse events, withdraw for any cause, for severe adverse events, and for infusion related reactions. The review was conducted with Cochrane methodology. The odds ratio and relative risk for dichotomist variables; and mean difference between baseline and final measurements for continuous variables, and risk differences were calculated with RevMan 519. The number of patients needed to treat was calculated with Cares' calculator20. Results: RTX is an effective drug in three groups of patients with RA: patients who fail to MTX, those who fail anti-TNF and in patients with no prior exposure to MTX. It is necessary to treat 7 (5-10) patients with RTX vs. placebo to obtain an ACR70 response; 9 (6-15) to achieve a DAS28 < 2.6: and 5 (4-8) to achieve a HAQ improvement >0.2. Safety of the drug was similar to that of placebo except for infusion reactions where 12 (8-26) patients need to be treated with RTX vs. placebo to see a reaction to the first infusion with steroid premeditation. Severe adverse events to the infusion had an incidence of 0.7% in patients of the RTX treated group. It was impossible to identify a larger increase in the number of severe infections, probably due to methodological problems, however, the risk of developing infections in patients treated with RTX seems to be comparable to that of other anti-TNF and biologics. Cultural diversity includes multiple forms of interpreting the experience of pain, from the point of view of nursing we must take interest in the different cultural collectives to better understand their ways of understanding the world with the goal of adapting our cares. In this study, we delve into the variability of the experience of labour in immigrant women. Main objective: Delving into the diversity of the experiences of the process of labour in immigrant women. Methods: Bibliographic review. We used following inclusion criteria articles were accepted since 2000 until now. Those that were full text were accepted and fit the proposed theme. We found 57 articles of which 31 were selected for the final review. Results: We have organised the different found themes into three block; immigrant women and health, variability in the process of labour and nursing implication. Conclusions: The variability in the experience of labour does not only appear between different cultural groups, but also within the same culture, this variability demands from us an adaptation in the cares we offer to different collectives and regarding the different ways of acting during the process of labour, we have not found any paper that proposes a way to do so, new studies are indispensable that not only theorise about the cultural adaptation of cares, but also centre on how to take them into practice. Objective: To review the available scientific literature about the effects of nutritional status on the multiple sclerosis disease.Methods: A systematic review of the scientific literature in the Medline (PubMed), Scopus, Cochrane Library and Web of Science databases through November 2016. Search equation: ("Multiple Sclerosis"[Mesh] OR "Multiple Sclerosis"[Title/Abstract] OR "Disseminated Sclerosis"[Title/Abstract] OR "Multiple Sclerosis Acute Fulminating"[Title/Abstract]) AND ("Nutritional Status"[Mesh] OR "Nutritional Status"[Title/Abstract] OR "Nutrition Status"[Title/Abstract]). The quality of the selected articles was discussed using the STROBE questionnaire. The search was completed through experts inquiry and additional review of the bibliographic references included in the selected papers. The concordance between authors (Kappa index) had to be higher than 80% for inclusion in this review.Results: Of the 160 references recovered, after applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 29 articles were selected for review. Concordance between evaluators was 100.00%. The most studies established vitamin D levels. Others focused their research on finding out which nutrient deficits might be related to the multiple sclerosis development.Conclusions: Vitamin D may influence multiple sclerosis improvement. Sunlight and physical activity would be important factors, with nutritional status, in the course of this disease. In the past few years, the relationship between environmental issues and vulnerabilityhas enjoyed much attention from scientific studies. However, the comprehension of this relation isn't a unanimous one. The aim of this research is to identify the differentconceptions about the vulnerability-environment interrelationships and to analyze itsconverging theoretical categories in Brazilian scientific works. For these goals, a systematic review of scientific papers indexed on Capes' "Portaldos Periódicos" was conducted, with no database restrictions. The text data wasanalyzed with the help of software Iramuteq. The conceptions and categoriesconverge into one interrelation of three semantic unities: environment, social and risk, considered under the interactionist and organicist approaches. It has been suggestedthat the multidisciplinary dialog about the subject should be expanded, also that thereis a need for the use of terminologies that can be employed in different fields of knowledge. It is necessary to know the perception of nurses about the emotional attention given to patients at the spiritual dimension in patient care plan. The objective was to know the spiritual care offered by nurses in their daily work during a patient's hospital stay and detect possible associated factors that hinder the facing death. The interest for the study of forgiveness is related to personal and interpersonal benefits that follow it. In this paper we investigated the use of empathy in interventions to promote forgiveness. The method was a systematic review in the databases Pepsic, Lilacs, PubMed and PsycInfo, using the descriptors "Forgiveness and Intervention" and "Forgiveness and Therapy". The sample consisted of 20 articles, which were read, tabulated and analyzed. The results showed that in 90% of reviewed studies empathy was a resource used. Sepsis is a common pathology in internal medicine, which has been increased gradually in recent years. In Mexico there are 40,957 cases per year with mortality of 30%; so it is paramount the adequate control of patients with sepsis. Introduction: Association between sugar sweetened beverages consumption and several metabolic diseases has been observed. Aim: To analyze randomized studies among ≤ 16 yo children of ≥ 52 weeks of intervention assessing the effect of the reduction of sugar sweetened beverages, carbonated drinks, flavored drinks, and fruit juices on adiposity indicators. Methods: Medline was searched for randomized controlled trials published up to August 21st, 2013. The following search terms were used: “Sugar Sweetened Beverages" and “Weight gain". Papers without basal or final data, without accurate description of control groups and those without the eligibility criteria were excluded. Results: Three studies met the eligibility criteria. In the three studies an increase among the adiposity indicators were observed among those with sugar beverage consumption or a reduction in the prevalence of overweight and obesity among those with reduction of sugar beverages. Throughout this paper we analyze the influence of St. John of God in healing, because in different and multiple databases appear manifest and publications which mentioned the Holy of St. John of God as a contributor to the care of the sick. Objective: Describe the contributions and impact of San Juan de Dios in the care of the sick, it made for an analytical reflection on them and evaluating whether there is a parallel with the current reality health. Methodology: Performing a literature review through a systematic search of the terms: St. John of God, Care, Culture and Sick in databases: ENFISPO, Dialnet, PubMed, Cochrane Library SciELO and Virtual Andalusian Public Health System, and subsequent reflective analysis of existing documentary research. Viral hepatitis E (HEV) infection was updated after reviewing international medical papers concerning its etiology, epidemiology, pathogenesis and histopathology, clinical forms of presentation, diagnosis, treatment and prevention. This viral disease continue affecting the health of children and adults, despite the great advances in vaccination and sanitation. For many years, hepatitis E was considered non A, non B epidemic hepatitis, but nowadays accurate diagnosis can be made and preventive measures applied to avoid its spread. Considering that its endemic persistence is favored by fecal-oral transmission in underdeveloped countries, sanitation and health conditions present in poverty environments are responsible for dissemination of this disease.
