This article discusses the statement issued by three board members of the American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (AATOD), who conveyed that same-day services are relatively common in their states' opioid treatment systems. They are Peter Coleman of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation's Office of Behavioral Health, JSAS Healthcare chief executive officer (CEO) Ed Higgins in New Jersey, CODAC Behavioral Healthcare CEO Michael Rizzi in Rhode Island.

This article discusses research on the link between Canadian food addiction and obesity. It references the study "Food Addiction: Its Prevalence and Significant Association With Obesity in the General Population" by Guang Sun in the September 4, 2013 issue of "PLOS ONE." The study revealed that food addiction was more likely to be present in people with obesity, and increased as their obesity did, as defined by body fat percentage or body mass index.
