The basis of consistency check of architectural elements (components and connectors) in the generic component-based architecture is the definition of embedding and refinement relations for their internal relationships and interconnections. The ideas which are presented here constitute a guide for the automation of this architecture description using UML beginning with classes and sequence diagrams formal definition as well as consistency checking of components and connectors.
