Scientists are often portrayed in media through stereotypes, influencing how children perceive and relate to science. This article analyzes children's conceptions of science and scientists, based on 23 drawings and accompanying narratives. The "Draw a Scientist Test" (CHAMBERS, 1983) was employed, followed by guided discussions. The analysis was divided into two stages: (1) stereotypes depicted in the drawings and (2) themes emerging from the conversations, such as being a scientist, known scientists, science in daily life, and school-related memories of science. The findings highlight disparities between school science and everyday science, emphasizing the need for inclusive educational strategies to engage children with scientific culture.
