Sensory processing disorder greatly affects people performance because it disturbs processes that allow them to interact with the surrounding world and coordinate their activity with it. Frequently, children with difficulties of this type are identified in the classroom, but there is not knowledge enough to understand what is happening to them, how to approach them and how to work interdisciplinary. For these reasons, this review aims to identify and analyse the outstanding conceptual elements in the literature and the characteristics of the empirical studies carried out in this discipline, which serve as a guide to those interested in the subject. For this purpose, an articles review published since 2005 to date was carried out, mainly in Spanish language. Among the consulted databases it can be found REDALYC, DOAJ, DIALNET, using as main descriptors: Sensory integration, learning, psychomotricity, disorder in the Sensory processing, sensory profile. It was contemplated texts describing some learning criteria affected by sensory processing deficiencies, explaining the Sensory Integration model and including alterations in sensory modulation processing and its affectation in occupational performance of the minors. Proving that the way each child processes the information obtained from the sensory systems is different and particular, considering that depends on several genetic, environmental and experiential factors, thus the deficits can have several causes

It is possible to synthesise inorganic-organic hybrid materials incorporating the organic phase to a sol prepared from a metal organic under high power ultrasounds. When both phases are chemically bonded a sono-ormosil (from ORganic MOdified SILicate) results, also known as hard ormosil. One of the applications of these materials concerns the biotechnologies since they become bioactive when are doped with Ca, fulfilling this way the preliminary condition to be considered for bone implants. The addition of silicate particles allows modifying the pore volume and radius. We have used these gels with particles, as precursor of the bioactive component, in order to act on the porosity for controlling the density and adequate the mechanical strength to that of the human cancellous bone. In like manner, the pores becomes chemically active and be used as structural support for noxious atmospheric gas sequestration.Es posible preparar materiales híbridos inorgánico-orgánicos incorporando una fase orgánica sobre un sol obtenido por hidrólisis de metalorgánico mientras se aplican ultrasonidos de alta potencia. Cuando las dos fases quedan químicamente enlazadas resulta un sono-ormosil (de ORganic MOdified SILicate) conocido también como ormosil duro. Unas de las aplicaciones de estos materiales atañe el dominio de la biotecnología pues llegan a ser bioactivos cuando contienen Ca, cumpliendo con ello el primer requisito para su validez como implantes óseos. La fuente de calcio, seleccionada para optimizar el proceso de secado supercrítico en etanol, ha sido partículas de wollastonita, (CaSiO3), material bioactivo, lo que al influir sobre el volumen poroso y el radio de los poros, permite controlar la densidad y situar la resistencia mecánica en el intervalo de valores propios de los huesos humanos esponjosos. Por otra parte, los poros pueden hacerse químicamente activos y usarse como soportes estructurales para la captación y fijación de gases.

Objective: Sexual transmission of hepatitis A (HAV) is documented, mainly by risk behaviors in men who have sex with men (MSM). There have been HAV outbreaks in MSM in countries of the European Union in the last years. The aim of this work was to study HAV epidemiology in Andalusia in the last 10 years (2007-2017) and the outbreaks among MSM in this period., Methods: Retrospective descriptive study of HAV cases reported in the Andalusia Epidemiological Surveillance System between January 2007 and May 2017. We calculated the annual incidence rate per 100000 habitants. We studied case distribution for gender and age. We used the male-female ratio as an indirect marker for MSM., Results: The mean annual incidence rate in the study period was 4.09 cases per 100000 habitants, with a difference by sex: 4.7 per 100000 men and 2.53 per 100000 women. Two large outbreaks were detected in this period: one in 2008-2009 and another in 2016-2017. The epidemiological characteristics of these outbreaks differ from the classical pattern of the disease, affecting young MSM with associated sexual risk behaviors., Conclusions: MSM play a fundamental role in recent outbreaks of HAV. For disease control we must carry out a different strategy, assessing the introduction of systematic vaccination.

In the improvement of a given crop species, knowledge on the grain quality and related traits in the progenitors used in the breeding process is needed to establish their usefulness as a source of a given character, and as well as to plan the proper combinations between progenitors. The aim of the present research was to characterize a group of 49 genotypes of Phaseolus vulgaris and one of Phaseolus coccineus, in relation to physical, cooking and nutritional grain traits. Cultivar Blanco Tlaxcala (P. coccineus) showed a larger grain size and lower protein content than any of the P. vulgaris cultivars. The 86% of the studied genotypes showed cooking times lower to 115 min, and a significant correlation between this trait and water sorption capacity (r = 0.78 **) was found. Cultivars Redlands Pioneer and ICA Zerinza could be used as source of low cooking time; and Perry Marrow, Kaboon and ICA Zerinza in the production of low shell content cultivars. Genotypes G 2333, Negro Lolotla, REN 27 and J 117 showed the highest grain protein content. On the other hand, BY 94022, Pinto Villa and Negro 150 had the lowest trypsin inhibitor activity. Results support the possible use of the above genotypes as sources of those grain traits. In general, large variability was found for most of the quality traits determined; therefore, there is scope for improvement through recombination and selection.

Nicaragua has the lowest prevalence of AIDS in Central America. In other countries where AIDS is more prevalent, the first epidemic of asymptomatic infections with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and the second of clinical cases of AIDS have been followed by a third epidemic of fear and discrimination. In December 1989 a study was conducted to investigate knowledge and attitudes about AIDS in a sample of 287 adults in Managua. Most of the interviewees had heard of the disease from newspapers and television, and more than 90% understood how HIV was principally transmitted. However, between one-third and one-half the interviewees believed that HIV could be transmitted by causal contact such as kissing (53%) or by mosquito bites (49%). In addition, the majority considered that isolation of HIV-infected persons and control of immigration into the country would be effective measures for preventing the spread of the disease. These results are similar to findings from studies carried out in other countries of Latin America where the HIV and AIDS epidemics started much earlier. This would suggest that the so-called "third epidemic" of discrimination and fear is affecting Nicaragua in advance of the other two.
