A current trend in multinational corporations (MNCs) is a strong focus on diversity management in order to attract andretain talent. The present study investigates the linguistic manifestation and justification of a very recent company policyintended to facilitate this trend, viz., global paternity leave. The study aims to contribute to the linguistic turn inorganisational studies. As a theoretical point of departure, Corporate Communication, and specifically links betweenCorporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Diversity Management communication are discussed. Concepts and tools fromtext linguistics are then applied to investigate the communication strategies employed when introducing the new familyleave policy in four MNCs headquartered in the UK and Norway, respectively. The material consists of a set of texts onglobal parental leave produced by the four companies. The linguistic analysis identifies similarities as well as differencesbetween the British and Norwegian companies in how the new global leave policy is presented. The findings alsodemonstrate a tension between focussing on the CSR efforts gender equality and inclusion in the justification of the newmeasure intended to support the MNCs’ diversity management efforts.

The Querelle, or the debate that ensued over interpretations of the Roman de la Rose between Christine de Pizan, Jean Gerson, Jean de Montreuil, and Gontier Col, marks an important event in the history of literary criticism. This paper is a reading and description of one of the most provocative, yet perhaps lesser known testimonies of Christine de Pizan’s version of the debate, Les epistres du debat sus le romant de la rose, as presented in University of California, Berkeley Bancroft Library MS 109 (UCB 109). The study of this manuscript and the texts contained therein discusses several of the many questions raised in the production and circulation of a book of carefully arranged letters: the creation of unique notions of author, scribe, and truth, as well as the complication of categories of sender and recipient.

Dans ses Poderes de la filología: dinámicas de una práctica académica del texto, Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht définit un fragment comme un objet que l’on peut identifier comme une partie d’une totalité plus grande sans que cela implique que cette partie soit comprise comme une métonymie de la totalité. Ce travail examinera la condition fragmentaire du Poema de Almería et du Carmen Campidoctoris, ainsi que la possibilité que ces œuvres puissent être considérées comme des fragments conformément à la conceptualisation de Gumbrecht. Cette analyse porte sur trois points : 1) peut-on prouver que ces panégyriques ont été composés de façon fragmentaire volontairement, et non par hasard 2) y a-t-il des éléments dans ces œuvres fragmentaires qui leur donnent plus ou moins de cohésion, et 3) ces poèmes fonctionnent-ils, dans l’analyse philologique, comme des métonymies de leurs totalités perdues respectives ou d’autres totalités ?
