É com satisfação que apresentamos a 11ª edição da Revista GEMInIS, uma publicação do “Grupo de Estudos sobre Mídias Interativas em Imagem e Som” – PPGIS/UFSCar. Um número especial em homenagem ao professor Mario Arturo Alberto Guidi, que tem como tema Cinema e Tecnologia, em um dossiê que traz reflexões que discutem por perspectivas distintas o estado da arte do cinema no âmbito de uma reflexão mais ampla, que foge de um olhar puramente técnico, explorando o cinema como uma tecnologia do imaginário contemporânea, e assim, pensando nos alcances e nos limites, nas transformações e nas permanências dessa forma de representação.

Two endogean carabid species of Typhlocharis Dieck, 1869 in the T. silvanoides species group are described, T. carinata n. sp. and T. paulinoi n. sp. T. carinata is characterized by the elytron with four discal setae and one subapical seta, the abdominal sternum II with a median carina, more developed near the posterior margin, stronger in male than in female, the median lobe of aedeagus strongly sickle-shaped and the parameres bisetulose, each with a large apical seta and a short sub-apical seta. T. paulinoi is characterized by the elytron with three discal setae and one subapical seta, the abdominal female sterna II and III without any fovea, the internal sac of median lobe in central area very difuse with one lateral sclerite and the right paramere bisetulose, with a large apical seta and a short sub-apical seta. Affinities to putative relatives and a key for the identification of the seven known species belonging to the silvanoides group are also given.

Objective: to characterize the sociofamily profile of black-skinned children and adolescents with mental health problems and to intersectionally describe who assumes responsibility for their care., Method: a descriptive and exploratory study with a quantitative approach, developed in the Psychosocial Care Center for Children and Adolescents from the North region of the municipality of São Paulo. The data were collected from 47 family members of black-skinned children and adolescents, using a script with predefined variables submitted to statistical analysis., Results: a total of 49 interviews were conducted: 95.5% women with a mean age of 39 years old, 88.6% mothers and 85.7% black-skinned. Family income comes from wages for all the male caregivers and for 59% of the women. Among the black-skinned female caregivers, 25% live in their own house, whereas this percentage is 46.2% among the brown-skinned ones. Of all the caregivers, 10% have a job, 20% live in transferred properties, 35% in houses of their own and 35% in rented places. The social support network is larger among white-skinned people (16.7%), followed by brown-skinned (3.8%), and absent among black-skinned individuals (0%)., Conclusion: those responsible for the care of black-skinned children and adolescents monitored by the CAPS-IJ are almost entirely women, black-skinned (black or brown) "mothers or grandmothers", with unequal access to education, work and housing, constitutional social rights in Brazil.

Aim: To review the increasing number of papers that report diverse neuropsychiatric disorders that happen in patients diagnosed of Parkinson's disease submitted to brain deep stimulation of subthalamic nuclei with high frequency current., Development: It is a fact the need to evaluate carefully all the patients who have to submit to this surgical procedure analyzing previous psychiatric history, and the possible appearance of psychiatric sphere symptoms after surgery. The acute depression and the euphoric moods (than can occur immediately after surgery) and major depression, obsession, widespread anxiety and substance abuse (among those of more delayed appearance) constitute examples of this pathology. The treatment of previous psychiatric disorders is forced in all cases and specially relevant in the major depression when suicide ideas coexist., Conclusions: Information that allow to predict the risk of developing depressive disorders in the postoperative period does not exist at present time, though it is more predictable that it happens in those patients with previous severe depressive history. In general, euphoric moods, apathy and depression, usually are transient and of multifactorial origin that includes the existence of endogenous predisposition, the change to an independence pattern after surgery, the psychotropic effect of levodopa, and the high frequency current stimulation effect on the non motor structures target and in the adjacent regions. It must be outlined that it is possible the appearance of psychotic symptoms after brain deep stimulation of subthalamic nuclei in patients with ideal results on motor disability.
