Posvetili smo se razvoju pohištva za spalnice, namenjenega nemškemu tržišču. Na ciljnem trgu je veliko kakovostnih spalnic, ki se v glavnem razlikujejo samo po estetskem izgledu. Analizirali smo izbrane konkurenčne spalnice in izpostavili njihove prednosti ter pomanjkljivosti. Na osnovi dobljenih rezultatov smo postavili cilje in jih upoštevali pri razvoju lastnega izdelka. Želeli smo izdelati sodobno pohištvo za spalnico s privlačnim videzom, ki pa naj ne bi odvrnila kupcev bolj klasičnih oblik. Ciljna populacija naj bi bili tako mlajši, srednji in starejši kupci. Zaradi velike konkurence smo skušali tudi čim bolj racionalizirati konstrukcijo posameznih elementov. Z eksperimentalno metodo, izhajajočo iz standarda SIST 14073-3:2004, smo preizkušali različne kombinacije okovja za spajanje obodne kotne vezi pri garderobnih omarah in tako poiskali cenovno ugodno ter hkrati trdno obodno kotno vez. We tried to improve bedroom furniture meant for sales on the German market, where huge potential sales offer exists. The furniture there is made in high quality mostly differing in well executed designs, belonging to selected competitiors. Its most important positive and negative aspects were analysed and used as fundamentals for setting the goals and targets of our project. We wanted to develop a modern, well designed bedroom, acceptable also for customers oriented into classic forms and into a bit older design. Our targeted customers should belong to younger, middle and a bit older generation. The influence of extremely high competition led us in the direction of well managed rationalizations regarding construction. We tested different combinations of fittings for the corner joints for construction parts of the wardrobe unit. Using an experimental method, following the standard SIST 14093-3:2004, different fitting combinations for corner joints of wardrobes were tested. In this way a strong corner joint at accepatable price was found.
