Abstract

The article presents a study which examines the use of colony multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for the detection and serotyping of Clostridium perfringens strains. The study investigates the expected bands of C. perfringens reference strains including A, B, C, D, E serotypes. The study reveals that the multiplex PCR could rapidly detect and serotype C. perfringens effectively.
