This paper deals with the toponymy of the Oslare village. Oslare is located just five kilometers south of Bujanovac. The settlement has been founded on the left bank of the Moravica River, that is, on the western side of the Belgrade - Skoplje highway and on the very border of Vranjsko Pomoravlje and Presevo Moravica. The village residents are of Serbian and Albanian origins. Some of the Serbs are locals and some migrated to Oslare from Kosovsko Pomoravlje as well as from the nearby villages. Albanians migrated to Oslare from Albania and other areas. Among Albanian residents are also Serbs who took Islam. Most of them took the name Taci but there are other families as well. The main concern of this paper is the recording of the Oslare toponymy. This is achieved through conversation with both Serbian and Albanian residents in both Serbian and Albanian languages. We have also analyzed semantics of the collected toponymes and their function in the everyday use. We tried to compare toponymes used by Serbs, who speak Serbian language (southmoravian dialect) and Albanians, both of those who are of Serbian origins and of those who migrated from Albania.

He had graduated from theology school in Prizren and worked as a teacher in Gnjilane, Priština, Prizren and Peć. The subject of our research here are speech properties of Prizren - South Moravian and Kosovo - Resavian dialects which are registered in characters’ speech described in Petrovic’s prose originating from different regions: Kosovo Pomoravian, Priština, from Prizren and its surroundings and from northern Metohija. This paper deals with dialectical lexics found in a poem collection named Straori written by a well-known author from Kosovo and Metohija, Ratko Popović. The book is consisted of 52 songs, mostly written in prizrensko - southmoravian dialect. Lexical materials were analyzed, classified and compared with data published in the Dictionary of Kosovo and Metohija dialects by Glisa Elezović and also in Dictionary of Ugljare near Priština by Golub Jašović. During the material extraction our main concerns were to use dialecticisms, regionalisms and localisms that are used in the same form in Serbian dialects of Gračanica natives, and also that these elements do not occur in Dictionary of Serbo-Croatian literary language published by Matica srpska. Semantics and form of chosen elements differ from those found in Popović's book and Gračanica's dialects. Lexical, semantical, and formational analysis were used in the research of house and household names, and also in cattle, crop and fruit lexics and terminology. Also, of lexics used in the naming of birds and animals, food and drinks, clothes and also for the names of board games, of faith and believes, administrative names etc. Microtoponyms and oikonyms found in Straori were classified as a special dialectical subgroup. Foreign dialectisms, mostly of Greek and Eastern origins, were also analyzed.

This paper is a contribution to a study of onomastic in two Batocina's suburbs Loznica and Donja mala. Batocina was built on the banks of Lepenica's lower course, 3km upstream from its confluence with Great Morava. We have registered Micro-toponyms of Loznica, the community which is situated on the right and a community of Donja mala on the left side of the Lepenica River. Both communities are 2 km away from Batocina's downtown. We have also registered toponyms that are situated outside of the previously mentioned communities. There are arable lands and forests which are owned by the families Stojanovic, Markovic and Petrovic whose parentage originates from Bulgarians and Marcic gentes. Dictionary of anthroponomy has been made in which we classified: surnames, family nicknames, personal names of males and females, personal nicknames and also hypocoristics of males and females that belong to the inhabitants of these communities who have their origins in Bulgarian and Maricic families. These families emigrated to Sumadia from Eastern parts of Serbia after the Milos's revolt.

The paper makes the analysis of micro-toponyms registered in the area of the Village of Ugljari, Serbian settlement on the riversides of the Prištevka, located within the Municipality of Kosovo Polje. Based on semantics and structure, recorded micro names of the subject settlement are classified in two groups. The first group includes micro-toponyms of appellative origin, while the other group includes micro-toponyms of anthroponymic origin. Recorded names are further classified to: micro names which have developed from other toponyms, micro-toponyms of phytonomic and zoonimic origin, while the names of foreign origin and hydro-names designating running and still water in the rural area of the place (wells, swamps, rivers, creeks) are sorted out in a special group. Dictionary of micro-toponyms with around a hundred and fifty micro names is the integral part of the Paper.

CALENDULA officinalis , *CALENDULA (Genus) , *TEMPERATURE , *CAROTENOIDS , *BIOLOGICAL pigments - Abstract
The results of three-phase drying of Calendula officinalis L. in batch dryer, as well as changes of drying mode (open-circulating) in its second and third phase are discussed. The experiments include five different drying temperatures and plant material layer height. The drying temperature of 50°C, constant open mode and natural drying served as control. The mass of dried material, fuel consumption, temperature of lower and upper layer, total carotenoid content and total microbial count were measured. Also, the specific drying duration and the specific drying energy were calculated. The specific drying energy value was lower than that of the control, in all the three-phase drying groups. When drying with changed mode (open-circulating) was applied, the in crease of the specific drying energy in final phase was smaller than in the control (constant open mode). The significant differences in moisture content between lower and upper layer of dried plant material were evident, pointing out the necessity of turning plant material during drying procedure. The content of total carotenoids was higher in lower layer, in all the experimental variants and lower by natural drying, pointing out that higher temperatures positively affected the total carotenoid content. The lowest total microbial count was obtained with the lower plant material layer while higher values were re corded in natural dried material. The highest values were recorded in fresh samples. Future investigations should be aimed at a constant temperature of drying agent in all phases, changing the drying mode (open-circulation) at app. 32% moisture content of plant material. In addition, plant layers should be turned after finishing first phase of drying (moisture content app. 32%). Also, the limit value of drying agent temperature should be defined to produce positive effects upon total carotenoid content. The re corded effect of relative humidity of drying agent upon total carotenoid content should be tested. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
