The purpose of the research is to study the epizootology of the dominant gastrointestinal strongylatosis in sheep in different natural zones of Dagestan.Materials and methods. In 2005–2021, 180 forestomachs of the thin and thick sections of the digestive tract and 600 fecal samples from sheep at the altitude (above 2000 m above sea level) were studied based on dissection results. The study was performed by season among young animals aged up to 1 year, from 1 to 2 years and 3 years and older. The study used methods of complete helminthological dissection per K. I. Skryabin, larvae cultivation in a thermostat at 27 оC, and flotation with a saturated ammonium nitrate solution by Kotelnikov-Khrenov and Berman-Orlov.Results and discussion. Helminth infections are recorded among sheep annually on lowland, moist, steppe pastures of the plains and foothills in various combinations of multiple infections with the prevalence of 11.2–18.7% and the infection intensity of 18.5–186.4 sp./animal. In the mountain zone at altitudes above 2000 m above sea level, the quantitative and qualitative indicators of helminthosis pathogens were sharply limited. On these lands, dicrocoeliosis, monieziosis, larval echinococcosis, chabertiosis, haemonchosis, and nematodirosis were recorded in sheep with the prevalence of 3.2–10.4% and the infection intensity of 2.4–6.3 sp./animal. Gastrointestinal Strongylata dominate in sheep on all types of pastures in the lowland, foothill, and mountain zones: Chabertia ovina, Bunostomum trigоnocephalum, Trichostrongylus axei, T. capricola, T. colubriformis, T. vitrinus, Haemonchus contortus, Nematodirus filicollis, N. helvetianus, N. oiratianus, and N. spathiger.

The purpose of the research is to study the efficacy of benzimidazole anthelmintics against different development stages of gastrointestinal nematodes of young cattle.Materials and methods. The efficacy of benzimidazole drugs against early development stages of gastrointestinal nematodes was evaluated on 58 male calves aged 12–18 months spontaneously infected with gastrointestinal strongylates on the Moscow Region farms contaminated by nematode parasites. The animals were weighed, numbered and divided into experimental and control groups of 7–10 animals each. The male calves from different experimental groups were orally administered Panacur, Febtal, Fenbendazole (substance), Alben, Alvet, Valbazen, Closalben and Albendazole 10% powder once at a dose of 7.5 mg/kg for the active substance. The control animals did not receive the drug. The drug efficacy was recorded in the experiments of the "control test" type based on the coproovoscopic examination results by the flotation method using a VIGIS counting chamber, and on the results of helminthological dissections of the digestive tract of 3–5 animals from each group. The drug efficacy was recorded as per the Guidelines Approved by the World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (1995). The results were processed statistically using the Microsoft Excel computer tool.Results and discussion. We established the 94.4–97.2% efficacy of the drugs based on benzimidazoles, namely, Panacur, Febtal, Alben, Alvet, Valbazen and Closalben in therapeutic doses against imaginal gastrointestinal strongylates and 44.2–69.2% activity against nematode larvae.

The purpose of the research is studying anthelmintic efficacy of fenbendazole solid dispersion obtained by mechanochemical technology with various components for targeted delivery.Materials and methods. The tests were conducted on 80 white mice infected experimentally with Trichinella spiralis and 145 sheep infected spontaneously with gastrointestinal nematodes. In case of each helminthosis, animals in different groups of 8–10 units each were given, orally, as a single dose, a fenbendazole solid dispersion (FSD) with polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), arabinogalactan (AG), glycyrrhizinic acid sodium salt (NaGA), dioctylsulphosuccinate sodium (NaDSS), licorice extract (LE) and hydroxyethylstarch (HES) in a dose of 2.0 mg/kg of the active ingredient as compared to fenbendazole drug at 2.0 mg/kg. A group of animals that were not given the drug was a control group. Anthelmintic activity of the preparations was considered based on dissection of the mouse small bowel and data from the sheep coproovoscopic examination carried out by the flotation technique before and 15 days after application of such drugs.Results and discussion. FSD with PVP, AG, NaGA, NaDSS, LE and HES in a dose of 2.0 mg/kg of the active ingredient (fenbendazole) showed 100; 98.7; 99.8; 100; 96.8 and 95.3% activity in mice against T. spiralis respectively; in sheep – 100; 96.3; 98.0; 100; 94.6 and 93.8% effectiveness against Nematodirus spp., and 100; 97.5; 98.6; 100; 97.0 and 96.5% activity against other species of the gastrointestinal Strongylata at 22.6–27.2% effectiveness of the main drug, namely, the active ingredient fenbendazole.

The purpose of the research is studying the effect of mechanochemical technology on anthelmintic efficacy of supramolecular complexes of fenbendazole with licorice extract.Materials and methods. Tests of the supramolecular complexes of fenbendazole (SMCF) with licorice extract (LE) were carried out on 127 heads of young sheep spontaneously infected by Nematodirus sp. and other types of gastrointestinal strongylates. For each helminthosis, animals of different groups of 8–11 animals each were given single oral administration of SMCF with LE in a dose of 2.0 mg/kg in AD in the form of 10 and 17 % powders and 2.4 and 4.5% suspensions in comparison with the basic drug – fenbendazole (FBZ) in a dose of 2.0 mg/kg. SMCF with LE was developed according to mechanochemical technology for 2 hours. The baseline was a group of sheep that did not receive the drug. The anthelmintic efficacy of the preparations was taken into account according to the results of coproovoscopic studies of sheep by flotation before and 16 days after the preparations were used. Accounting for the effectiveness of drugs was carried out according to the "control test" type.Results and discussion. SMСF with LE in a dose of 2.0 mg/kg by AD in the form of 10 and 17% powders and 2.4 and 4.5% suspensions showed respectively 89.2; 83.12; 82.09 and 83.59% effectiveness against Nematodirus spp. and 88.73; 67.3; 83.87 and 86.38% activity against other types of Strongylata when receiving 22.7 and 21.9% effect of the base drug – FBZ.

The purpose of the research to study the antihelminthic efficiency of the new antihelminthic medication asmegum. Materials and methods. The object of the research is the antihelminthic medication asmegum, which has been synthesized at the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic by streamlined synthesis. Asmegum was tested on 45 spontaneously infested sheep born in 2015 with the body weight of about 40-50 kg at the experimental base of the Kyrgyz Scientific Research Institute of Veterinary named after A. Duysheev. Animals were divided into 9 groups, 5 animals in each group, according to the principle of analogues. All test animals were kept under the same conditions. Asmegum was given orally as a single dose in the form of water emulsion, powder and medicated feed mixture at a dose of 50 mg/kg of live weight. Animals from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd groups received asmegum in a water emulsion form. Animals from the 4th, 5th and 6th groups received the medication in a powder form. Sheep from the 7th, 8th and 9th groups received asmegum in a medicated feed mixture form. The animals were monitored during 10 days. The anthelminthic activity of the medication was determined according to the results of coproovolarscopical (by Fulleborn's method, sequential washing method and Berman's method) research in 10 days after giving medication. The therapeutic efficiency of the anthelmintic agent was assessed according to the requirements of the World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (1995). Results and discussion. The asmegum efficiency at a dose of 50 mg/kg versus strongylata, nematodiroses and dicrocelium was determined. Its efficiency in strongylatosis, dicroceliosis and nematodirus was 90.3-91.28%, 89.76-92.0% and 86.52-91.56% respectively. The medication dosage form did not effect its efficiency. Asmegum administration in a recommended dose did not induce adverse events in animals. The medication promoted the intestine function regeneration. Sheep treated with asmegun bulked up quickly due to presence of asparaginic acid in its composition.

Objective of research: to study the anthelmintic efficacy of the supramolecular complex of Fenbendazole used against different nematode species in sheep Materials and methods: Experiments were carried out on young sheep spontaneously infected with gastrointestinal strongylates (48 head), Dictyocaulus filaria (42 head), Strongyloides papillosus (21 head) и Trichocephalus ovis (24 head). In each helminthiasis, the supramolecular complex of Fenbendazole was given once orally to sheep from various groups at the dose of 3,0; 2,0 and 1,0 mg a.i./kg in comparison with the base preparation Fenbendazole at the doses of 1,0 and 3,0 mg/kg. Sheep which didn’t receive the drug served as controls. The efficacy of drugs was evaluated before and 18 days after dehelmintization according to the results of coprolarvoscopic examination by flotation and G. Baermann methods. The registration of drug activity was performed using the «control test». Results and discussion: Anthelmintic efficacy was studied and a therapeutic dose for the supramolecular complex of Fenbendazole produced by chemical mechanical technology using the Drug Delivery System was determined. In gastrointestinal strongylatoses the supramolecular complex against D. filaria. at the doses of 3,0; 2,0 and 1,0 mg a.i./kg showed the efficacy of 100; 93,4 and 78% , respectively. The efficacy of supramolecular complex at the dose of 3,0 mg/kg against S. papillosus was 100 %, and against T. ovis - 98,3 % at 10–13% efficacy of the base preparation Fenbendazole at the dose of 1,0 mg/kg. The therapeutic dose for the supramolecular complex at main nematodiasis in sheep was 3,0 mg a.i./kg.

Abstract. Aim. Livestock is one of the main sources of protein human nutrition. Helminthiases infections are one of the limiting factors in animal husbandry. The most prevalent helminths of sheep and goats OF gastrointestinal tract are Strongylatoses. Studies on helminthiasis are absent during the last twenty years in the Chechen Republic. This paper analyzes the state of nematode infections of cattle in farms and private land plots of the Chechen Republic. The aim of the work is study of Strongylata infections of gastrointestinal tract of sheeps and goats: taxonomic composition, identification of extensiveness and intensity of infestation of strongylate invasions in the Chechen Republic.Material and methods. Tripes, intestines and lungs of 235 sheep 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-months of age, 1–2 years sheeps, 2–3 years sheeps and older than 3 years sheeps were studied. The follows methods were used: the method of opening full helminthological autopsy by Scryabin, the method of Fulleborn, helminthological research method by Berman-Orlov.Results. Livestock is infected by 14 species of nematodes of the suborder Strongylata, that are parasitic in the gastrointestinal tract. The most common nematodes are of genera Chabertia, Nematodirus, Haemonchus, Trichostrongylus, Ostertagia, Cooperia, Bunostomum.Conclusions. The results will allow to plan the most optimal anthelmintic activities.
