Applications architecture is the baseline of any organizational activity, which main goal is to provide the executional environment for business processes in order to deliver products or services to satisfy customer needs and generate revenue. Nowadays, large software engineering projects always begin with the architecture design phase, despite the waterfall or agile methodology is used by a software development team. Applications architecture design is the most important and, at the same time, error-prone stage of the whole software engineering project. It is well-known that design shortcomings made on the design phase may increase drastically to testing and maintenance phases. Further costs to defects fixing may be hundred times higher in the later project stages in compare to the design stage on which applications architecture is defined. Common system design solutions, which were proven on practice and used in many projects, are known as architectural patterns. Software architecture patterns are considered as building block for system implementation. The most popular and efficient way to share architectural patterns are graphical models that used as any other blueprints of engineering solutions. Applications architecture models are built to represent system design, whereas, such models are already based on certain patterns as the industry best practices. Hence, in this paper we consider a relevant problem of applications architecture models analysis, which relevance is defined by those fact that designed blueprints of information systems and other software solutions should be carefully checked for all presumable inefficiencies in order to avoid extra efforts and related costs for defects fixing in the later project stages. It is proposed to use ArchiMate enterprise architecture modeling language, since it can be used not only to represent applications architecture, but is connection to business and technology layers. In order to evaluate applications architecture models, respective ArchiMate metamodel is considered and represented as labeled directed graph, and coupling software metric is selected for analysis. Sample calculations are demonstrated, obtained results are discussed, conclusion and future work directions are formulated.

Developed modern software tool for determining the quality of software (SW) techniques metric analysis. The software allows you to use quality metrics to calculate the corresponding metric and determine the value of the complex index of quality software product. Clarified the quality assessment process, software analyzes the concept of the quality of the software product as an object of standardization and quality levels of performance models of the software. This allowed the opportunity to improve the quality of software by generating the relevant requirements of the criteria for quality evaluation. It is also possible to make the improvement of the metric analysis of models of its quality and its quantitative measurement methods in all phases of a software project. It was revealed that the driving force behind the success of software projects is the desire of their leaders to develop such software, which would have a certain value. It should be important for certain tasks or to achieve tactical and strategic objectives. The value of the software can be expressed in the form of its value, or in some other form. The customer usually has their own idea of ​​the maximum cost of investing in the development of software. These funds profit it expects to achieve in the case of the main goals of using the software. It can also have a vision of the functionality of software and certain expectations of its quality. The features of the use of the metric analysis for determining the quality of the software, revealed the lack of uniform standards for the metric. Therefore, each supplier of its measurement system offers its own methods of evaluating the quality of software and associated metrics. Also it is challenging the interpretation of metric values, since for the majority of users of its software metrics and their values ​​are not absolutely clear and informative. It was found that the main parameters of the choice of an embodiment of the software is its cost, the duration of the development process and the reputation of the designer of the company. But the decisions taken on the basis of these parameters, not always guarantee proper quality of the software.

The method of reflections data, which is obtained as a result of processing expert-based evaluation of software quality by different criteria of evaluation using petal charts. Reflection of expert-based evaluation of software quality is found to be the process of reflections data in graphical form for maximum ease of understanding and rapid perception, and also providing a clear overview and shape of any object, process or phenomenon. The software quality evaluation criteria and their weighting factors for each expert are offered, which provide a reliable presentation of the current state of the software development process, a proper understanding of the problems that may arise at any stage of the program project implementation, and the exact characteristics of their components. This mechanism of data reflection enables business analysts to submit qualitatively and quantitatively multiple values of complex software quality indicators that can be obtained from the results of any survey of different experts at a particular stage of the program project implementation. The proposed methodology is suitable for presenting a variety of expert survey results, with a subdivision into unlimited number of the roles of the software quality evaluation participants concerning the importance of each of them. An algorithm for calculating the area of sectorial petals in a polar coordinate system has been developed, using which it is possible to calculate and evaluate the relative software quality according to the proper criteria. The final complex software quality indicators for each expert are determined, and a comprehensive indicator of its quality is summarized as well. An algorithm for calculating the area of a petal diagram in a polar coordinate system has been developed, which allows determining the part of software quality according to all the criteria, which is currently evaluated by one of the experts, as well as the part of software quality, which has yet to be achieved for its 100% completeness. The relevant conclusions are drawn and recommendations are made concerning the use of the developed data reflection methodology.

It was developed the methodology for modeling complex geometric surfaces of natural origin – a tree trunk using spline functions. It allows to increase the accuracy and reliability of wood assessment in different dimensional characteristics, as well as sawn timber in the field of woodworking. It was found that the method of constructing mathematical models of forming the cross-sectional surface of logs and their surfaces along the axis allows based on a single theoretical approach to describe the dimensions and shape of the axes, as well as external surfaces. It is based on the measurement of coordinates certain amount of the cross-section of a tree trunk points along its length and the subsequent interpolation point basis. It was found that the mathematical implementation – interpolating cubic splines, constructed on a small number of surface points, allow to determine with sufficient accuracy, the dimensional indices logs and incorporate features of the form of timber barrel (curvature, convergence, ovality). The cubic splines are also the adequate individual models to account for the logs as an industrial raw material and timber sawn from them. It was determined that the main objectives of software devel-opment is the construction of the cross-sectional surfaces forming logs cubic splines, scale forming butt logs for the construction of the annual rings and calculating his area and the output of sawed sawn timber for different cutting patterns. The software for constructing forming surfaces of complex shape of trunks of wood, which makes it possible to build models of surfaces logs by spline functions was implemented. The algorithms accounting for wood barrel and some algorithms schemes cutting logs for timbers are given. It is proved that the output of sawn timber after the implementation of mathematical modelling is significantly increased in comparison with the traditional methods of modelling the surfaces of logs. It was found that the method of individual models of trunks of wood, their mathematical, software and hardware support in the form of mathematical models, algorithms, implementation and software, the results and conclusions of the presented research can be used in the design of production and processing of wood systems, the establishment of appropriate resource-saving technological processes on the basis of modern technology and measuring equipment, methods and information tech-nology models.

Application suitability for one of the intelligent methods for risk management of software projects has been shown based on the review of existing algorithms for fuzzy inference in the field of applied problems. Information sources in the management of software projects are analyzed; major and minor risks are highlighted. The most critical parameters have been singled out giving the possibility to estimate the occurrence of an adverse situations (project duration, the frequency of customer’s requirements changing, work deadlines, experience of developers’ participation in such projects and others.). The method of qualitative fuzzy description based on fuzzy logic has been developed for analysis of these parameters. Evaluation of possible situations and knowledge base formation rely on a survey of experts. The main limitations of existing automated systems have been identified in relation to their applicability to risk management in the software design. Theoretical research set the stage for software system that makes it possible to automate the risk management process for software projects. The developed software system automates the process of fuzzy inference in the following stages: rule base formation of the fuzzy inference systems, fuzzification of input variables, aggregation of sub-conditions, activation and accumulation of conclusions for fuzzy production rules, variables defuzzification. The result of risk management automation process in the software design is their quantitative and qualitative assessment and expert advice for their minimization. Practical significance of the work lies in the fact that implementation of the developed automated system gives the possibility for performance improvement of software projects.

Objective: To study the diagnostic importance of a new Indis software package for the postprocessing of the results of radionuclude examinations (Center for Information and Diagnostic Systems, St. Petersburg, Russia) when analyzing the results of lacrimal scintigraphy., Material and Methods: Dynamic lacrimal scintigraphy was carried out in 6 volunteers (12 eyes) and 20 patients (32 years) with dacryostenosis. The examined Indis program and the known Syngo program (Siemens, Germany) were used to calculate the elimination half-life of a radiopharmaceutical from the interest region corresponding to the whole ocular surface. The time taken to postprocess the results of the examination was also determined., Results: When calculations were made using the Indis program and the Syngo system, the elimination half-lives of a tracer in the volunteers was 6.57 ± 2.46 and 7.54 ± 3.21 min, respectively. These in the patents with dacryostenosis were 69.39 ± 65.52 and 74.85 ± 64.59 min. With these programs, the times taken for postprocessing were 12.3 ± 4.2 and 26.3 ± 7.9 min, respectively., Conclusion: The investigation showed the practical significance of the Indis software package in processing the data of lacrimal scintigraphy. The calculations made with the Indis program correspond to those made with the known Syngo program. The convenience and ergonomics of the program can precisely identify the region of interest. The economic justification of the system is associated with the shorter time taken to postprocess and interpret the results of lacrimal scintigraphy. The Indis software package may be recommended for use in the examination and treatment monitoring in patients with abnormal lacrimaton.

Background: The writing of surgical and hospitalization reports is time-consuming and does not necessarily enable the increment of a statistical database, tool that is indispensable nowadays to evaluate unit activity or to carry out scientific studies. In order to prevent this double data capture, a computer tool, named CordaBase, has been developed by surgeons and set up in a cardiac surgery unit., Materials and Methods: CordaBase is an interactive software that stores medical data. Thanks to its intuitive interface, CordaBase stores data which is classified chronologically in the following categories: past medical history, preoperative assessment, operating gesture, stay in intensive care unit, stay in wards and evolution/monitoring after discharge. This date, stored in an Access base, are then used in the creation of personalized surgical and hospitalization reports. All the data is permanently available and can be used for the carrying out of scientific works or for the evaluation of the unit activity., Results: From March 2009 to December 2010, 2617 consecutive patients operated on in a Cardiac Surgery Unit were recorded prospectively in the software. All of this stored data assisted the surgeon in his or her administrative tasks, thanks to personalized surgical and hospitalization reports, immediately at the secretariat's disposal. The database, which is requisitely filled by administrative work, enables the carrying out of any statistical study on all unit activity., Conclusion: With a hindsight of almost 2 years, CordaBase has proven its usefulness in an active cardiac surgery unit, both on an administrative and scientific level. The computerized reports have lightened the medical secretariat's workload and statistical studies have now become possible without having to take the paper medical files out again. In the years to come, the accumulation of medical data prospectively or retrospectively stored will surely confirm the potential of the use of such a software.

Multipurpose modular software for an analog interface based on Lcard 761 is considered. Algorithms for pipeline processing of medical signals under Windows with dynamic control of computational resources are suggested. The software consists of user-friendly completable modifiable modules. The module hierarchy is based on object-oriented heritage principles, which make it possible to construct various real-time systems for long-term detection, processing, and imaging of multichannel medical signals.

Identification of groups of co-regulated genes (regulons) is an important part of studying transcriptional regulation. One possible approach is to cluster regulatory sites that were found using experimental or computational techniques, such as phylogenetic footprinting. This strategy doesn't require a priori knowledge about co-regulation and allows finding putative new members of known groups of co-regulated genes (i.e. a new regulon). Also, it allows finding new putative regulons, which is especially important for poorly annotated genomes. We have developed ClusterTree-RS, an algorithm for clustering regulatory signals using binary trees; it is presented in this paper along with some testing results on simulated and real data. The algorithm is implemented in Java and took about 2 hours 40 minutes to cluster 1500 input signals on a computer with AMD Athlon 1.91 GHz CPU.

A special program package has been developed for input the results of visual monitoring of the behavior of animals during the Porsolt (forced swim) test, open field test, elevated cross labyrinth test, and passive avoidance reflex test into a personal computer (PC) for the subsequent data processing. According to the adopted procedure, all behavioral events are registered by a researcher using the corresponding keys on the PC keyboard. Then, the program calculates the mean values and their standard deviations and presents the results of data processing in the form of tables and graphs on display. The data can be also printed and stored on disk. The disk files can be imported into other programs (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, etc.) for further processing. The proposed software facilitates the procedure and increases the accuracy of experiments. The programs were successfully verified in the laboratories of the Zakusov Institute of Pharmacology.

Principles of designing software and hardware for new computer equipment for psychophysiological examination were elaborated on the basis of theoretical prerequisites and of analysis of the use of equipment manufactured serially for quantitation of indices of the human higher nervous activity (HNA). The hierarchic structuring of software and hardware enabled, through unification of solutions, the development of new modifications of two equipment sets: computer-based unit "Psihomat" KPFK-99 for psychophysiological examination and computer-based unit "STABILOTEST" ST-01 for the evaluation of the central nervous system by the stability parameters in maintaining the vertical posture. The units have new improved functional features and provide the users with new computer technologies for dealing with research and practical tasks related with examination of human HNA parameters in health and pathology.

Due to the promotion of methods and devices of non-invasive spectrophotometric diagnostics in the sphere of medicine, software support for such diagnostic systems has been growing to be a topical issue. The general ideology of designing the system software support for multi-function spectrophotometric diagnostic tools is under discussion in the paper. The need in a multi-stratum structure of presenting, analyzing and processing the diagnostic findings, i.e. beginning from physical result interpretation to its common medical interpretation, is substantiated.

The case study deals with designing the formalized flow for digital photofluorogram and with results of their clinical testing. Recommendations are defined for improving the protocol program.

The informational technology designed for systems analysis of changes in the characteristics of single variations in physiological process is outlined. This technology has been used in the module of analysis of the physiological processes of an software complex.

The authors suggest an information computer support within the framework of a complex system for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cleft lip and palate. This program will ensure operative information exchange for specialists of various spheres. Such information, united in the data base, will become the base for creation of a universal system of complex rehabilitation of patients with cleft lip and palate.

A complex of short-basis photogrammetry, methods and software for obtaining and analysis of 3D digital models of relief of dentition and its fragments is presented. This complex is intended for planning and evaluation of tooth preparation and quality of prosthetic treatment. The method was used to assess the correctness of dental shape repair by artificial crowns. The complex can form the base for the CAD/CAM technology.

The paper deals with the specific features of X-ray diagnostic units that have no screen-filming device for film X-ray study, with the requirements for hardware and software of these units. It gives data on specific systems for digital X-ray study.

A service program for selecting magnifying means has been developed and tried in 59 patients (110 eyes) with senile maculodystrophy and cataracts. Attempts at choosing traditional magnifiers (magnifying glasses, hyperoculars, telescopic eyeglasses, and contact lens-eyeglasses system) were made with due consideration for the focus of lesions and the anatomooptic parameters of the eye (corneal refraction, size of the anteroposterior axis, and clinical refraction). The results indicate that the proposed program helped effectively choose traditional magnifiers for the majority (81.35%) of the above patient population.

The article substantiate the necessity to improve the automatization of the information process in the system of medical support in extreme situations and thus to liquidate the disproportion between the medico-diagnostical and information accumulation storage facilities. These facts clearly define the importance of work which is being carried out by Medical Service towards an elaboration of the "Disaster Medicine" automated information retrieval system (AIRS). The data obtained as a result of AIRS processing could be directly used for reference or prediction purposes.

The effective system for the emergency health care in the disaster or calamity situations presupposes a wide application of computer facilities. The article shows the possibilities towards the improvement of medical support with the help of the disaster medicine information dissemination system. The authors give the main functional characteristics of this system which could make it possible to optimize the health care to the wounded and to make a correct distribution of assets.
