1. MHD Flow Past a Stretching Porous Surface under the Action of Internal Heat Source, Mass Transfer, Viscous and Joules Dissipation

Abstract

The paper investigates two-dimensional, steady, nonlinear laminar boundary layer heat and mass transfer MHD flow past a stretching porous surface embedded in a porous medium under the action of internal heat generation with the consideration of viscous and joules heat dissipation in the presence of a transverse magnetic field. The two-dimensional governing equations are solved by using MATLAB built in bvp4c solver technique for different values of physical parameters. The numerical values of various flow parameters such as velocity, temperature, concentration are calculated numerically and analysed graphically for various values of the non-dimensional physical parameters of the problem followed by conclusions. The study concludes opposite behaviour of transverse and longitudinal velocity under the action of suction velocity in addition to the effects of heat source on fluid velocities, temperature and concentration.

Abstract

Different values describing both the efficiency of rectification column and the efficiency of mass-transfer are represented in the brief literature review. It is also showed that the approach used for the calculation of mass-transfer efficiency characteristics in binary mixtures is not very acceptable for multi-component mixtures.

Abstract

Проведён сравнительный анализ триботсхнических характеристик пар трения сталей Х12М,40Х и 35ХГСА с контрте­лом из бронзы БрАЖ9-4, испытанных в условиях соответствующих эксплуатации узлов трения аксиально-поршневых насосов. Сформулированы практические рекомендации по замене высоколегированной стали Х12М, конструкционной сталью 35ХГСА с диффузионным упрочнением поверхности при изготовлении опорных и распределительных дисков гид­равлических насосов. The comparative analysis of the tribological characteristics of friction pairs of steels X165CrMoV12, 40CrS5 and 35CrMnSiS4 with counterbody made of bronze CuA19Fe4 tested at the operating conditions of friction units of axial piston pumps is carried out. The practical recommendations on the replacement of high-alloy steel X165CrMoV12 to the structural steel 35CrMnSiS4 with the surface diffusion hardening during processing the bearing and valve plates of hydraulic pumps are formulated.

4. The complex study of recirculation using airlift effect in the immersion combustion apparatuses

Abstract

Эффективность использования топлива в теплоэнергетическом хозяйстве Украины при его потреблении и производстве промышленного продукта уступает соответствующему показателю развитых стран. Это значительно снижает конкурентоспособность отечественной продукции. Одним из способов повышения энергоэффективности топливоиспользования в промышленности и коммунальном хозяйстве – применение аппаратов погружного горения (АПГ). В работе на предложенной физической модели рабочего процесса АПГ выполнен комплекс исследований по рециркуляции (как эффективного способа интенсификации тепломассопереноса) с помощью эрлифтного эффекта. Выявлены механизм эрлифтного эффекта и влияние на него пульсирующего противодавления жидкости в ванне изотопленной камеры сгорания. The article presents the methodological fundamentals and practical methods of increasing of fuel utilization efficiency in the gas-liquid apparatuses and in the fuel combustion units of chemical technology at the expense of heat processes intensification. The high-effective contact-module system equipped with the immersion combustion apparatuses with multiple phase inversion was developed. The required formulas for calculation and thermodynamic analysis of the heat and mass-transfer processes in the studied system are presented. The energetic effectiveness of contact-module system was estimated taking into account the constructive features of immersion combustion apparatuses.
