The aim of the article is to analyse the peculiarities of a digital corporate culture of the university, highlight its parameters and indicators, orienting on the cultural-educational and digital communicative needs of students, teachers and workers in the post-postmodern era. Results of the research. Digital university or University 4.0 is a trend of the first quarter of the 21st century and a high-tech infrastructure platform for deploying various educational initiatives, the successful functioning of which depends on the digital corporate culture, its parameters and indicators. Scientific novelty. For the first time in the framework of Digital Culture Studies as an innovative interdisciplinary field, the article examines the dichotomy of the market type of corporate culture popular in foreign and Ukrainian educational practice and the new “holistic” type proposed by the author based on a broader socio-cultural approach, the achievements of open science, the ideas of critical pedagogy and the phenomenological approach in educational practice. Conclusions. It is emphasised that higher education in the post-COVID period is characterized by accelerating digital transformation, and many Western university managers are actively forcing this process. It is argued that the vast majority of such initiatives face the same problems associated with the dominance of the instrumentalism philosophy and neoliberal discourse, when the value of education is increasingly interpreted through the prism of financial success and business-narratives, leading to the absolutisation of the market type of university corporate culture. The author proves the one-dimensionality and limitations of this type and proposes its restructuring on the basis of a holistic approach, which involves the synthesis of digital learning, culture of work and knowledge, digital reading, digital ontology and anthropology, radical openness, creative work, where the “new” corporate culture should be based on digital competencies as a “field of cooperation” between student and teacher.

The article presents the results of an empirical study on electronic petitions posted on the Change.org French-speaking segment, geographically linked to France. The relevance of the topic is due to the intervention of modern information and communication technologies in political reality and the need for scientific reflection of the consequences of digital changes in political processes. The authors of the article analyse the regional particularities of the online petition activity by the inhabitants of France on the material of 15 887 electronic petitions (January 2015 – October 2017), 570 of which are petitions with the status of “victory” (4 %). The authors note that the European territories of France form three main groups of online petition activity (with low, medium and high petition activity). Residents of France most often relate to social problems (social security, health care and education) in electronic petitions. In addition, Change.org is actively registering electronic petitions on issues related to crime and terrorism, discrimination, the environment, the economy and animal welfare. Electronic petitions about problems of culture, sports and problems of confessional relations are recorded relatively rarely. The greatest response from the recipients of the petition is caused by problems in the social sphere, education and health. The French society, through the prism of activity on the non-governmental Internet resource Change.org, appears as a modern society with post-industrial values, preoccupied with security issues, in an active and relatively productive dialogue with its political and business elite.

Technical advances and digital means of communication have led to the development of digital semiotics which is characterised by its multimodality and abounds in paralinguistic elements such as emojis, emoticons, memes, etc. These extralinguistic elements serve as a compensatory mechanism in the new communication means. The increasing interest of users in various iconic signs and symbols generates the research interest in different fields of knowledge. The study aims to consider cognitive, semiotic and psycholinguistic features of emojis in interpersonal communication through analysing their functions in text messages and in social network messages. An attempt to reveal their persuasive mechanism is made. The research is based on a large scale dataset comprised of the private text messages as well as public posts on social networks which include verbal and nonverbal / iconic elements. The research data presents a multilingual bank of English, Russian and French sources. The research methods include context analysis, linguistic and pragmatic analysis and content analysis. The findings show that emojis in private interpersonal communication perform a number of functions, namely nonverbal, emotive, pragmatic, punctuation, substitutional, decorative and rhetorical functions. These iconic symbols incorporated in the interpersonal digital communication present a compensatory mechanism and the means of persuasion of a message addressee / recipient. The combination of verbal and iconic elements triggers a double focusing mechanism, and the perception is shaped by all cognitive mechanisms including rational and emotional, unconscious components.

Educational institutions need more effective patterns of interaction between teachers and students in digital environment. Digital teaching technologies are associated with the process of socialization. The research objective was to determine the specifics of the socialization of students, teachers, and university staff in a digital educational environment. The analysis relied on the theory of generations developed by W. Strauss and N. Howe. The authors identified the specificity of socialization in generation Z as the perception and accumulation of new information through the prism of digital component of culture. This specificity is essential in teaching and upbringing children and adolescents of generation Z, since they endow digital space and digital information with values and meanings. Differences in the perception of modern technologies caused the so-called digital gap phenomenon. The authors defined two fundamentally important directions in the study of the socialization of generation Z students by the teaching staff of other generations in the context of digital education. The first is to create conditions and activate the process of socialization in the digital educational environment of the older generation teachers. The second is to reduce the digital gap by organizing targeted active communication in the digital educational environment when solving pedagogical problems.

Communicative competence in the realities of the modern world is one of the basic skills defining not only the structure of the communicative personality of the digital age, but also a meaningful criterion of socialization, social interactivity within society. At present, the society is undergoing an intensive restructuring, not only in terms of system functioning and institutional transformation, but also in terms of way of interaction, which signals the active establishment of a digital society, as a new stage in civilizational development. This reality is due to the acceleration of the development of digital technologies, the implication of digital processes in all areas of public procedure, and the significant impact of digitization on human communication capabilities caused by spreading of communicative area. This article attempts to consider the digital society from social-philosophy way in a communicative point of view at the level of its structural component – the subject and its characteristics of communicative competence. Background. The digital society is an entirely new stage in the development of mankind, and therefore the logical action is to conduct a comprehensive study of it with a view to a thorough, detailed understanding of the essence, structure, properties and characteristics. A study of communication at the level of the subject within a digital society gives an idea of the characteristics of a modern digital society. Purpose. The article considers communication in a digital society from the point of view of analysis of its producers - individual subjects developing the skills of formation of communicative acts of a new type in a virtual – digital environment, namely communicative competence in digital communication. Materials and Methods. A number of research papers on the theory of digital society, the identification of its basic properties and characteristics, and the provisions on the essence of digital processes were used as research materials; collected views on the vision of communication of the modern type-digital communication. The analysis used social and philosophical reflexes, namely the analytical method. Results. As results, we can voice a number of identified modifications in the field of signs of communicative competence of the modern person of the digitalized society. In this case, we are talking about the abolition of language means used to convey the meaning in a communication act in favor of lexical substitutions with graphic symbols, which confirms the presence of clippiness of thinking and perception. The absence of direct communicative contact practically eliminates the emotional component of communication, or distorts it. The semantic side of communication is distorted and leads to a loss of understanding and empathy. Violation of the cognitive-epiric aspect of the personality shows the deformation of the process of transferring moral values and ethical guidelines, behaviors, which distorts the system of ideas about the surrounding reality, identity and mechanisms of subject-object relationships. The pragmatic level of communication is modified due to subjective situational experience, which is formed mainly in the space of digital reality, which creates difficulties in non-mediated communication. During the goal of the communicative process itself in the virtual-digital environment, a shift occurs in terms of ignoring objective facts, rules and laws, or trivially devaluing the opinion of another communicant, which nurtures nihilism, selfishness, and also leads to the destruction of the entire communication process as a whole. Practical implications. A well-known fact is the mutually agreed connection between society and communication in terms of relaying the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the studied object and subject, their coevolution. The results of the study can be used in further socio-philosophical understanding of the structures and characteristics of digital society in general, and communication in particular. Analyzing the communicant from the point of view of its specific properties, in this case – the skill of communication in the conditions of digitalization, it is possible to form signs of a modern social device through transformation of communication.

Modern communication is greatly influenced by digital technologies which make available a new type of communication – hybrid oral-written communication, that is texts which contain both verbal and non-verbal components. This research is focused on a video article as a speech genre of academic communication, which appeared relatively recently on digital scientometric platforms. The article describes constitutive features of a video article, its discourse features, and its functional requirements. The video article refers to the oral-written iconic type of text which uses different channels of information transmission, such as oral and written, verbal and non-verbal. This genre can function not only in academic, but also in professional communication, in a number of discourses where the exchange of information about technological processes, professional tools and technologies is important. The variability of information channels in the video article allows detailing the description of the reference communication situation. The article also contains a comparison of the video article genre with other multimodal genres (cinematic text and explanation video). The pragmatics of an academic video article is to convey information to specialists with background knowledge in this area. The iconic code is necessary for more detailed information that is possible when switching to the first signaling system. The video article iconic code is presented in two ways. The first method is a figure with a schematic drawing or a photograph, and the second one is a video clip of the operation using advanced technologies or new tools. A video fragment is always accompanied by a verbal description of what is filmed. The video image has significant explanatory power, allowing the reader to pay attention to various nuances of the situation presented in the video article.

The article is aimed at describing the formation of a culture of social digital responsibility, taking into account educational inclusion. Statistics and studies on the quantity and quality of personal time spent by the population of the planet on the Internet are analyzed. Analyzing and systematizing the work of various NGOs, scientists and specialists, digital citizenship rules are formed; the issues of digital responsibility, the formation of culture, inclusion in education are considered. In addition, the features that should be taken into account during inclusion in education are defined. The types of personality temperament are also considered; the relationship between the types of tasks for students and the peculiarities of their temperament, world perception and preferences is determined. The means, rules and principles of the culture of social digital responsibility and digital instruments that should be used in educational institutions in conditions of inclusion have been formed, because they help in attracting as many students as possible to the learning process and in easier assimilation of information. It is determined that the modern culture of social digital responsibility in the context of educational inclusion should contain not only the rules of conduct during communication or the use of the world wide web and the means of involving all students in the educational process, but also the basic principles of activity. The main problems of formation of a culture of social digital responsibility in the context of educational inclusion are also specified. The problem of forming a culture of social digital responsibility in the context of educational inclusion contains two components: the problem of digital behavior culture (students/teachers), and the problem of digital learning. The latter outlines the need to create conditions for the conscious perception of educational information by students/pupils, to attract their maximum number to the educational process through the use of effective digital instruments, the development of the authors’ own educational methodological approaches for any form of education (remote/full-time)

The review examines a new book ‘Media pandemic. Crisis communication / communication crisis’ (‘Pandémie médiatique. Com de crise / crise de com’) by the executive vice-president of the Havas Group Stephan Fouks, which was published in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Building on his rich and unique practical experience as a head of a large media organization, a consultant at international organizations and a presidential campaign manager, the author assesses the role of media communications in the context of the coronavirus outbreak. The book under review is addressed primarily to experts in International Relations. It covers a wide range of issues including the causes of the crisis, which led to a paradigm shift in international communications, and specifi cs of the communication policies in France and some other European states. The author concludes that these policies refl ect a general crisis of the ruling elites (political establishment). Here the author continues to further elaborate on the ideas of his previous book — ‘The New Elites: portrait of a generation that will ignore’ (‘Les Nouvelles Elites: portrait d’une génération 1ui s’ignore’).The author provides a critical analysis of the key elements of communication strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic, from the ruling elites to the expert community, and delineates methods and the role of international communication in the future. The reviewers emphasize that the monograph by Stefan Fouks goes beyond the traditional formats of communication studies, which tended to focus either on the various crises, or on the organization of media structures in diff erent states, public-private partnership, and corporate communications, and thus were too narrow in scope. In ‘Media-pandemic’ the author stresses multidimensional nature of international communications and argues that their paradigmatic shift was brought by both the development of digital technologies and anthropogenic factors in the form of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Research objectives are to develop questionnaires to assess the severity of the characteristics of self-presentation of adolescents in real and digital communication spaces, as well as to compare the main structural components of self-presentation of adolescents in real and digital communication spaces. The context and relevance of the study. Modern teens are active users of social networks. At the moment there are not so many scientific works devoted to the study of the characteristics of self-presentation of adolescents and their comparison in real and digital communication spaces. There is a lack of research tools to assess the severity of the characteristics of self-presentation of adolescents. Study design. The study included 6 main stages: 1) the identification of the substantial characteristics of adolescents inherent in real and digital communicative spaces; 2) compilation of two questionnaires to identify the severity of the characteristics of self-presentation in real and digital communicative spaces; 3) a study using these two questionnaires to identify the severity of the characteristics of self-presentation of adolescents; 4) the search for factor structures of components of self-presentation of adolescents; 5) expert analysis of the contents of the identified components and their assignment of names; 6) a comparison of the identified components of the self-presentation of adolescents in real communication and social networking. The sample consisted of 290 teenage students (44% male, 56% female) from grades 6 to 9 of a comprehensive school in Moscow. Methods. To the characteristics of adolescents that are characteristic of them in real and digital communication spaces, we used the author’s modification of the method of M. Kuhn and T. MacPartland “Who Am I?”. To determine the severity of the characteristics of self-presentation of adolescents, two author questionnaires were developed. To search for the factor structures of self-presentation components, an exploratory factor analysis, the principal component method, was used. The calculations were carried out in the SPSS 23.0 program. Results. The strongest and most stable components of the self-presentation of adolescents in the real communicative space and in the communicative space of a social network were revealed — “Friendliness”, “Hostility”, “Talent and Originality”, “Popularity” and “Shyness”. These components have substantial similarities with the known types of self-presentations in domestic and foreign classifications, which confirms their substantial validity. Main conclusions. Private acts of self-presentation of adolescents in the real communicative space and in the communicative space of a social network can be combined into groups that form the structural components of self-presentation. The stable structural components of the self-presentation of adolescents in the real and digital communicative space coincide in meaning, but have internal substantive differences.

The problems of digital transformation of public administration in Russia in the application to the sphere of communication relations between government structures and business have been considered in the article. The experience of the leading countries in the use of digital communication technologies at the state level in the creation of E-Government in the United States, Great Britain and France has been investigated. At the same time, first, an analysis of the models of internal interpersonal communication in the organizations of these countries has been made, and then the national programs has been adopted in these countries for the digital transformation of public administration have been studied, and the experience of these countries in their implementation is examined. The main goal of the research is to analyze the foreign experience of implementing projects of digitalization in the national economy in order to adapt solutions to the sphere of digital communications in government structures and entrepreneurship in Russia.Based on the conducted research, the conclusions have been made and recommendations for the successful implementation of the national program of digital transformation of public administration in Russia have been given. In particular, the study has noted that the ground for digital transformation of public administration processes in the leading countries was prepared by previously established traditions and models of interpersonal communication in society. Experience of widespread introduction and use of information and communication technologies for internal communications in organizations, development of e-сommerce and e-advertising have served as the basis in these countries for the development of digital communication channels of government structures and the population. It has been shown, that during the creation of E-Government state reforms were simultaneously carried out to reorganize state structures, training civil servants in the basics of working on a computer and on the Internet.Based on the results of the research, the recommendations for the successful implementation of the program of digital transformation of the Russian economy have been given. It has been noted, that the main one is the need to reorganize radically the work of state structures in Russia. Without this, the gap between Russia and the leading countries in the field of digital transformation of communication between government structures and business is not possible to overcome, and this may cast doubt on the success of the national program.

The present paper explores disagreement and impoliteness in a WhatsApp interaction within a Spanish family that took place during the 2018 International Women’s Day. The conversation is linguistically examined using categories of disagreement strategies proposed by previous authors (Pomerantz 1984, Brown and Levinson 1987, Rees-Miller 2000, Locher 2004, Kreutel 2007, Malamed 2010, Shum and Lee 2013). Furthermore, multimodal analysis (Dresner and Herring 2010, 2013, Jewitt 2013, Bourlai and Herring 2014; Herring 2015) is used to consider not only participants’ linguistic strategies for expressing disagreement, but also the function of multimedia elements and emojis (Dresner and Herring 2010, 2013, Yus 2014, 2017, Sampietro 2016a, 2016b, Aull 2019). The analysis is followed by an interview to better understand the participants’ communicative intentions towards disagreements in relation to (im)politeness. A total of 427 instances of disagreement are identified, with the most common strategies being giving opposite opinions and emotional or personal reasons. This is to be expected since the group is divided from the very beginning into detractors and supporters of feminism, and they are also defending their opposite viewpoints by giving examples from their own life experience. Based on the participants’ opinions, the most significant result is the fact that, although disagreement may lead to face-threat, and thus impoliteness in other contexts (Langlotz and Locher 2012, Sifianou 2012, Shum and Lee 2013), in this WhatsApp interaction, the Spanish family members did not consider it to be impolite, and it is even evaluated in positive terms by some of the participants (Angouri and Locher 2012).

This article discusses the polar code is applied to the transmission of control information in broadband telecommunications systems. Channel coding contains a set of procedures for error detection, error correction, rate matching, bit interleaving and mapping of information to physical control channels or transport layer. The article explores a downlink model with polar coding and multi-position digital phase modulation. This model presents the results of Bit Error Rate (BER) for coding scheme with different code rates. The structural scheme of the decision model on the modulation mode of the digital communication system is analyzed in the paper. Dependencies of BER on the effective rate of the polar code with different types of modulation are explored. The modulation mode selection adaptive algorithm for code rate R=0.5 is developed on the basis of the obtained dependencies. The use of signal-code construction based on the polar code can increase the efficiency of the communication system. Ref. 36, pic. 12.

It is shown that the etiquette space of corporate culture of the modern organization functions in two main dimensions, physical and virtual. Analysis of each of these dimensions and its components from the perspective of the philosophical and cultural approach gives the idea of the role and importance of the etiquette regulation in the conditions of modern corporate business environment in real and digital formats. Digital etiquette is analyzed as a three-dimensional concept, which lies at the intersection of humanitarian and technical and technological knowledge, since, on the one hand, it reflects the essential characteristics of etiquette communication in the digital environment, and on the other hand, it is developing under the conditions of a new semantic Web 3.0. and necessarily reflects its nature and functional characteristics. Digital etiquette as a new type of etiquette regulation in virtual environment is illustrated by an example of one the three directions of its development, specifically the practices of user interaction with gadgets, in which such a phenomenon of Internet addiction as phubbing is investigated.

Mediaportals and screen gadgets isolate a person from reality, turning urban public area into a huge on-screen interface, digital communication transforms the intimate world of smartphone screens into public discourse of displays in public places. But that very screen culture realized man`s dream of Absolute knowledge: now it in any point of space – in the form of visualized information about each individual point and all the space in General.

The relevance of the study is due to the need to comprehend the features of communication in social networks adolescents in the context of the development of a new information and communication space for leisure activities, because today's digital society is characterized by a multiple increase in the amount of information relative to previous periods of social life. Adolescents increasingly need to resort to technical means to build communication and process the information they receive, with a single information space and a fairly high rate of information flow even during leisure activities. The article examines the different views of scientists on leisure activities, comparing the concepts of "leisure" and "free time". Questions are raised about the role of ecology of communication in virtual or digital reality in the lives of modern adolescents, the impact of digital communication on the mental state of the individual. For the first time the main functions of digital communication in adolescents' leisure activities are considered: expressive, informational, and pragmatic. The features of digital communication, among which are noted such as: simplification in the transfer of information, multi-channel perception of opponents of information, the presence of simulacres, hyperreality, the presence of intertext transitions, design or authorial language. Based on an analysis of the literature on the problem, the term ecology of digital communication is defined as the establishment and maintenance of sustainable interaction, exchange of information and emotions between people in a supportive digital environment. The authors analyze the risks and benefits of teenagers' communication in social networks., Человеческий капитал, Выпуск 6 (174) 2023, Pages 301-308

New digital communication technologies challenge the stability of the personal identity of the present human. The digitalization however can be regarded is just another – more radical – stage of the information society. The problem of personal identity is especially important because it allows to regard the person as a responsible subject. But the present people who are constantly using digital communications find themselves in the situation of digital panopticon where their words and deeds in the Net are seen by all other users. The watershed between public and private spheres dissolves – the person regards his page at the social network or his blog as his personal space while it is in fact a part of public space that is open to the whole world. As a result, any online-statement or act can become a resonant event that can influence person’s reputation. When offline, the person answers only to his significant others and to those whom his words or acts concern directly, while when online, the person is made responsible before the whole wide world, and often becomes a victim of misunderstanding, bullying or slander. In such a situation a rift appears between how the persons regards oneself and how it is represented in the Net: this rift often becomes the basis of the identity crisis. It is shown that the society is not ready for this new communication qualities: neither psychologically, nor morally or legally. One of the possible solutions that a person often finds for oneself is conformism and rejection of any active deeds, but this solution is counterproductive. The conclusion is drawn that it is necessary to develop new mechanisms of both social regulation of such communications and of individual adaptation of human to the specifics of this new communication environment.,

The present paper draws a sketch of modern understanding of communication in internet/digital space. The point of departure is the assumption about the communicative channel or the medium used as one of the crucial constituents of meaning making process in communication. Based on this assumption, the paper follows the main trajectories and research trends in looking at modi of production and circulating of texts and meanings in digital space. It shows that there are several foci in analyzing the network communication – that on shared knowledge and social practices of sharing knowledge and values within and across internet space; on new approaches to identity construction in new media; on wider range of semiotic resources for constructing and translating identities and meanings. The network communication gives also a special perspective on multimodality as the co-presence of various semiotic modes in a given text/message. It provides multimodality as a technique and a competence which guarantees communication intelligibility. In conclusion, it is stressed that the view to internet (digital) communication is not to be restricted to its technical standards and technical breakthroughs but suggests a more general reflection of its social framework. There is no ‘digital economics’ or ‘digital education’ as offline, stand-alone projects, they have socially embedded and socially sensitive dimensions.

digital communication ,Sound underwater communication ,phase manipulation ,parametrical antenna - Abstract
Owing to technical progress in development of sea infrastructure the need of information transfer through the water environment on tens and hundreds of thousands of meters appears. Objective of this research is the development of the new principle of phase manipulation for sound underwater connection with use of the parametrical antenna. The basic possibility of use of intercarrier frequency of the parametrical hydroacoustic antenna for forming of signals with phase manipulation is shown. Two ways of forming of phase manipulation are the following: by means of phase change of pumping rates and by means of impermanent update of frequency on section of a differential wave are considered. Use of the existing way of phase manipulation through change of phases of signals of pumping leads to uncontrollable transition processes in a signal of intercarrier frequency. Use of the second way of phase manipulation of a signal of intercarrier frequency through impermanent update of pumping rates and respectively emergence of the changed section of the signal of intercarrier frequency shifting a phase of a base signal towards reduction or towards increase allows to manage transition process reducing the number of amplitude emissions. Natural experiments both in the control and measuring hydroacoustic pool, and in the sea taking into account existence of natural hydrological conditions the confirmed theoretical provisions are made. Calculations showed that use of the shortened changed part of a signal of intercarrier frequency of the parametrical antenna results in need of excessive increase in pumping rate (hundreds of kHz) that can exceed band width of transmission of the parametrical antenna. Use of the increased section allows increasing frequency slightly (by tens or even units of kHz) that gives almost unlimited opportunities for the choice of an angle of manipulation

The article offers a coverage of the scholar assessment of the selfie phenomenon. It is emphasized that in contrast to popular literature, pathologizing the culture of selfies, academic sources offer analytical tools for understanding the popular genre of modern visual culture, the study of which is constantly complicated by the rapid development of a variety of technical possibilities of shooting selfies. Formulation of the conceptual field of selfies, nuancing of genre features, reviewing of social and performative functions, evaluation of the context and parameters of the digital environment, as well as the effects of the culture of selfies are constantly supplemented, explained and clarified by scholars, working at the intersection of several fields of science. Among them are media and digital culture studies, sociology, psychology, ethnography and folklore, narrative and visual studies, history of photography and fine arts. The approaches in the focus of which the image itself, i.e. technical and aesthetic parameters of the selfie, its definition, typology, genre outlines; and approaches aimed at the practice and function of the selfie, i.e. its communicative and social parameters. Special attention should be paid to the point of view of the Genesis of selfies, its comparison with the genre and practice of traditional pictorial self-portrait and photo portrait, usually included in the work of art historians and sociologists, researchers of visual culture and digital media. The review highlights the recently published studies “Allure of the Selfie: Instagram and The New Self-Portrait” (2014) by Brooke Wendt, “How to See the World: An Introduction to Images, from Self-Portraits to Selfies, Maps to Movies, and More” (2016) by Nicholas Mirzoeff, “Culture of the selfie: Self-Representation in contemporary visual culture” (2017) by Ana Peraika and collective monograph “Exploring the Selfie.
