Background. According to the hypothesis of the study, the therapeutic efficacy of measures to treat hypoxic (ischemic) emergencies can be significantly increased by using an artificial gas mixture with normal or increased oxygen content and a high content of argon, being bioactive despite its chemical inertness.Objective. To experimentally evaluate the antihypoxic effects of argon on the example of acute massive blood loss in experimental animals.Methods. The study was carried out on 72 albino male gray rats with a baseline body weight of 220–250 g. The experiments were performed at the premises of the Konstantinov St. Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute of the Kurchatov Institute and the Smorodintsev Research Institute of Influenza (Russia). Prior to the experiment, the animals were quarantined for 2 weeks in the vivariums of the performing organizations. Acute massive blood loss in rats was formed by taking blood (12 ± 1% of body weight on average) using syringe method by transcutaneous cardiac puncture. Rats were randomized into 3 groups (24 individuals each) depending on the gaseous medium where the animal was placed after artificial blood loss. Composition of the applied gaseous medium in the comparison groups: medium No. 1 — oxygen 21% vol.; argon — 30% vol.; nitrogen — the rest; medium No. 2 — oxygen 21% vol.; argon — the rest; medium No. 3 (control) — air. The postoperative follow-up (post-conditioning) for 8 hours involved assessing and recording the following indicators: survival/lethality rates; recovery rates (anesthesia recovery, somatic mobilization); clinical symptoms of possible intoxication with the gas mixture during inhalation exposure. The surviving animals were then monitored for 4 days to evaluate their health and behavioral performance. Upon completing the observation period, the animals were euthanized.Results. After artificially-induced blood loss, all the non-survivors died within 1.5–8 hours after the operation. In group 1 (post-conditioning in medium No. 1), the lethality of laboratory animals amounted to 4 individuals out of 24 (16%); in group 2 (post-conditioning in medium No. 2) — 2 individuals out of 24 (8%). In the control group, the lethality rate was significantly higher — 10 animals out of 24 (42%). The surviving animals demonstrated no lethality or morbidity within 4 days after the exposure. Analysis of outcomes between experimental groups and controls revealed that the significance of differences in the lethality index between group 1 and control (by Fisher’s two-sided criterion) comprised p = 0.06; between group 2 and control — p = 0.017. When the statistical “power” of the experimental group was increased (by combining samples 1 and 2), the significance of differences in outcomes in this group compared to the control accounted for p < 0.001.Conclusion. The conducted studies confirmed the hypothesis about the pronounced antihypoxic effect of argon, which significantly increased the survival rate of experimental animals after massive artificially-induced blood loss.

Аim: to study the role of serum and ultrasonometric markers in the early diagnosis of malignant transformation of periductal fibrosis of the liver during the formation of cholangiocarcinoma against the background of chronic invasion of Opisthorchis felineus, in the population of endemic regions.Methods. A comprehensive one-stage comparative study was conducted in a case-control design, using the assessment of biochemical parameters (lactate, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase, alkaline phosphatase, glucose, direct and indirect bilirubin, high-density lipoproteins and low-density lipoproteins, triglycerides, urea and total protein), immunological parameters (transforming growth factor beta) and tumor markers (CA 19-9, СYFRA 21-1) in blood serum samples obtained from patients with O. felineus infection, with and without periductal fibrosis, O. felineus-infected patients with cholangiocarcinoma and representatives of control groups. During the analytical stage, the relationship between the structural features of the liver ac- cording to the results of ultrasound examination (presence of opisthorchiasis-associated periductal fibrosis), clinical parameters, parasitological study data (infection intensity), and changes in biochemical, immunological parameters and tumor markers in patients against the background of O. felineus infection was assessed. Statistical analysis was performed using the R programming language (version 3.6.1).Results. Evaluation of the relationship between the presence of ultrasound signs of stage 1–2 opisthorchiasis-associated periductal fibrosis and changes in serum levels of the biochemical, immunologic parameters and oncomarkers in patients with O. felineus infection demonstrated that the levels of alkaline phosphatase, conjugated bilirubin, AST, glucose and CA 19-9 oncomarker were significantly higher in the serum of patients in the group with cholangio-carcinoma and opisthorchiasis (p < 0.01).Conclusion. The first pilot data on the relationship between ultrasonometric signs of periductal liver fibrosis and the increase of CA 19-9 oncomarker as well as biochemical parameters (alkaline phosphatase, direct bilirubin, aspartate aminotransferase, glucose), which can be used for early diagnosis of malignant transformation of periductal liver fibrosis with the formation of cholangiocarcinoma in O. felineus-infected population in endemic regions, were obtained.

Purpose of the study. Analysis of contemporary literature sources dedicated to the study of characteristics of high oncogenic risk human papillomavirus (HPV), associative links of the virus’s molecular-genetic parameters with the clinical and morphological characteristics of invasive cervical cancer (ICC).Materials and methods. A literature search was conducted in electronic databases including the National Center for Biotechnology Information Search database (PubMed/Medline), ResearchGate, Scopus, Web of Science, Cancer Tomorrow, Global cancer observatory, Cochrane Library, eLIBRARY, DisserCat. The search covered the period from 1990 to 2022 and utilized keywords in Russian and their English translations: cervical cancer, high oncogenic risk HPV, HPV status, HPV genotype, multiple infections, DNA integration, viral load. More than 120 full-text sources were studied, in which the analysis of possible correlations between the parameters of human papillomavirus infection and the clinical and morphological characteristics of cervical cancer was carried out. In review included data from 57 publications.Results. According to most authors, more than 88 % of patients with invasive ICC are HPV-infected. The etiological structure is dominated by HPV 16 (70–72 %), 18 (13–15 %), and 45 (5–7 %) types. Non-detection of HPV HR in cervical cancer is associated, including with a false negative result of the study.The literature analysis showed the presence of an association between HPV status and age, morphological form of the tumor, viral load, high oncogenic risk HPV genotype, presence of deep stromal invasion, and metastatic involvement of lymph nodes. With regard to such molecular genetic parameters of HPV HR as viral load and HPV DNA integration, associative relationship with prognostic important clinical indicators of cervical tumor – the stage of the disease, the loco-regional prevalence of the tumor process, the histological type of tumor – remains the subject of discussion.Conclusion. Many publications report a correlative link between HPV status and high oncogenic risk HPV genotype with such an important factor affecting ICC treatment outcomes as the morphological form of the tumor. Ambiguous conclusions on the presence of an association between a number of molecular-genetic parameters of HPV infection with the main prognostic factor – stage of the disease (due to the heterogeneity of samples, the use of different test systems, and the insufficiently complete account of the main parameters of HPV infection, especially data on viral DNA integration), make it advisable to conduct further research on a representative group of patients with homogeneous diagnostic protocols to determine the most complete spectrum of parameters of high oncogenic risk HPV. In addition, the conducted literature analysis showed the promise of searching for predictors of the effectiveness of specialized treatment of patients with ICC among such HPV infection parameters as HPV status, high oncogenic risk HPV genotype, and the significantly associated physical status of viral DNA.

Background. A combination of different types of lung cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is very common. COPD, accompanied by ventilation disorders and, often, respiratory failure, is a significant additional risk factor for mortality in these patients. Identification of risk factors for mortality in patients with lung cancer and COPD can potentially be associated with better long-term outcomes.Materials and methods. Using a Cox regression model based on information about the outcome of the disease and life expectancy after treatment initiation, a survival analysis was performed with an assessment of the contribution of various clinical and anamnestic factors for a group of 118 COPD patients with primary diagnosed lung cancer. These patients received treatment at the Cancer Research Institute in Tomsk in 2013–2019.Results. The study included 118 patients (87.3% men and 12.7% women). Among them, 77.97% of patients were active or former smokers with smoking index (SI) ≥ 10 pack-years, and 22% of patients had never smoked or had SI < 10 pack-years but had other risk factors for COPD. Peripheral lung cancer was detected in 45.8% of cases. Squamous cell carcinoma was noted in 54.2% of cases, adenocarcinoma – in 34.7%, large cell carcinoma – in 1.7%, small cell carcinoma – in 5.9%, and carcinoid tumors – in 2.5% of cases. Patients were characterized by varying degrees of severity of ventilation disorders in accordance with the GOLD classification: stage 1 was observed in 44% of patients, stage 2 – in 38.1 % of patients, stage 3 – in 16.9 % of patients, and stage 4 – in one patient. Threeyear mortality was 28.12%.Conclusion. According to the results of the Cox regression analysis, factors that significantly reduced the survival rate of patients with lung cancer in combination with COPD were more severe stages in terms of the size of the primary tumor and its localization, the prevalence of metastasis (according to TNM classification), more severe dyspnea (mMRC scale), lower oxygen saturation values, atelectasis, and episodes of pneumonia, including paracancrotic pneumonia, over the previous 12 months. The presence of certain types of metastases, such as metastatic lesions of the pleura, adrenal glands, distant non-regional lymph nodes, and bones should also be noted as negative factors for survival. It is worth noting that surgical treatment of the primary tumor was associated with an increase in the survival rate in patients with lung cancer in combination with COPD.

Vitiligo is a common polygenic autoimmune disease in which the foci of depigmentation are formed on the skin and/or mucous membranes as a result of the death of melanocytes. There are several hypotheses for the pathogenesis of the disease, the leading role among them is played the autoimmune hypothesis. This review summarizes the available literature data on the prevalence and structure of comorbid endocrine autoimmune pathology in vitiligo patients. In most studies conducted in Europe, America and Asia the prevalence of autoimmune thyroid diseases (including autoimmune thyroiditis and Graves disease), diabetes mellitus and autoimmune adrenal insufficiency was higher in vitiligo patients than in the general population. The results of some studies indicate a frequent association of vitiligo with autoimmune polyglandular syndromes. In the structure of comorbid pathology the highest prevalence was in autoimmune thyroid diseases. A number of studies have established a higher prevalence of autoimmune endocrine diseases in women, as well as in nonsegmental vitiligo patients and in cases of family history of vitiligo and/or other autoimmune diseases. In addition, it was shown that the prevalence of endocrine diseases increases with increasing area of depigmentation. The data obtained justify the advisability of conducting a timely examination of vitiligo patients with the aim of early detection of comorbid diseases and the appointment of appropriate treatment. Further studies are needed to investigate the effect of the identified associations on the course of vitiligo and comorbid endocrinopathies, as well as the effectiveness of therapy and the quality of life of patients.

Objective. To estimate the value of measuring plasma eosinophilic cationic protein (ECP) levels in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) as a potential biomarker for determining the activity of eosinophilic inflammation. To compare it to determining the number of blood eosinophils and predicting the severity of COPD by determining such clinical characteristics as respiratory function, exacerbation frequency and the BODE index.Materials and methods. Based on the protocol, 161 patients with COPD participated in the study. They made 2 visits for the collection of anamnestic data and the performance of the main study procedures: respiratory function test, 6-minute step test, dyspnea assessment according to the Medical Research Council Scale questionnaire and sputum and blood analysis in order to determine the level of eosinophils and ECP. The second visit was conducted 12 months after the first to assess the dynamics of the disease. We paid particular attention to the presence of allergies in the case history, the frequency of exacerbations, the number of courses of treatment with antibacterial drugs and inhalants, and systemic glucocorticoids.Results. The study has demonstrated that high plasma levels of ECP in patients with COPD are associated with a more severe course of disease and the development of more frequent infection-related exacerbations of the disease, which require the administration of inhaled glucocorticoids and antibiotics. We have demonstrated an inverse relationship between the ECP level and forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1). This allows the use of this indicator as a predictor of the severity of COPD in patients.Conclusion. According to the obtained data, measuring the ECP level of blood plasma can be recommended for use as a clinical marker in the prognosis of COPD and selection of personalized therapy. It is a noninvasive and a relatively easily accomplished research method.

The purpose of the article is to describe the methodology and hardware for determining the force required for the movement of the plunger rod of a single-use syringe. The measurement method is used to obtain new experimental data. We first-ever obtained the oscillograms of force variation required to move the plunger rod of test syringes and found that, compared to a two-component, three-component syringe is characterized by significantly smaller values of the effort required for the plunger rod to move. So, when it moves without using water, the F value at the beginning of the suction stage is 1.5 times less than that of a two-component syringe and 2.4 times less at the extrusion stage. The use of water increases the force required to move the rod-piston of the test syringes. Thus, for a two-component syringe the force at the suction stage without using water was 4.5 N and 5.5 N – at the extrusion stage, and with the use of water, the values of these forces, respectively, increased to 6.5 and 6 N. For a three-component syringe without water, the plunger rod displacement force at the suction stage was 2.9 N and at the extrusion stage – 2.3 N, and with water the values of these forces increased to 3.7 and 2.9 N, respectively. The device developed makes it possible to conduct comprehensive studies of the effect of the type of syringe, its capacity, the speed of movement of the plunger rod, the duration of the stop between liquid suction and extrusion stages and other parameters on the amount of forces required to move the plunger rod of the syringe. This will allow you to justify the conditions and the normalized value of the force (or forces) required for the movement of the plunger rod when testing syringes by this indicator.

The operation of the LM27762 bipolar DC–DC converter chip was simulated using WEBENCH software developed by Texas Instruments. The main attention is paid to the influence of the load current on the negative voltage ripples at the output of the charge pumping system and the chip output. The results of the calculations are compared with the results of the experiments. It is shown that the model of operation of the microcircuit created by the manufacturer is approximate. When the microcircuit operates in burst mode, which is realized at relatively low load currents, the discrepancies in the number of discharge – charge cycles, voltage poles at the output of the pumping system, and in the time intervals between bursts are very significant. The model does not allow obtaining data on the ripples of the negative voltage at the chip output. Experiments have shown that the very limited data on output voltage ripples given in the microchip documentation is underestimated. They significantly depend on the input and output voltage and load currents. The discrepancy between the experimental results and the simulation results obtained using the model of the manufacturer LM27762 showed that the actual perfection test of the microcircuits should be based on three factors: experiment, simulation and joint analysis of the obtained results. The simulation results of the operation of the LM27762 circuit board of bipolar DC–DC converter using the WEBENCH Power Designer software developed by the Texas Instruments manufacturing company are presented. The calculations are made at the company's website. For the experimental studies the ready-for-use test board of LM27762EVM test module, provided by the manufacturer of the LM27762 circuit board, is used. The use of the test board, simulator, and software developed by the manufacturer of the circuit board ensures to have no problem while comparing the simulation and experimental results, which can be associated with the use of circuit components with differing characteristics, or with the board layout. The technical documentation for the circuit board does not have information about the characteristics of the keys and capacitors used in the circuit board. Unfortunately, a description of the developed model is not available either. The information mainly concerns the influence of load currents on negative voltage ripples at the charge pump system output and at circuit board output. The simulation has shown that already at a load current of 40 mA, the control system starts operating with a permanent charge pump frequency, while, according to the results of the experiments, the control system continues to work in the pulse train mode even at a higher current of 50 mA. The pulse train for such current consists of 15 charge transfer pulses, the interval between the trains is 3 μs, and the increase in negative voltage per pulse train is also about 75 mV. The comparison made of simulation results and the results of the experiment have shown that the model of operation of the LM27762 circuit board, created by the manufacturer, is approximate. It has been established that owing to a large number of assumptions in the developed circuit board model, when it operates in the pulse train mode, which is realized at relatively low load currents, the discrepancies are rather significant in the number of discharge–charge cycles, the pulsation amplitude at the charge pump system output, and the time intervals between the pulse trains. The simulation of operation of the circuit board does not give data on the negative voltage pulses at its output. The experiments have shown that the data provided in the documentation on the circuit board output voltage pulses, though quite limited, are underestimated. They largely depend on the input and output voltage and load currents. In general, the comparison of the results of simulation of the operation of the charge pump system of the LM27762 circuit board, when it operates in the pulse train mode, and the corresponding experimental results shows that the coincidence of the calculation results and those of the experiment in terms of quality can be considered satisfactory. The discrepancy between the experimental and simulation results, obtained using the manufacturer’s LM27762 model has proved that the true testing of the quality of circuit boards requires three factors to be taken into consideration: experiment, simulation and joint analysis of the obtained results.

Background. Nowadays many efforts are taken in searching for Parkinson’s disease biomarkers, especially for an early recognition of the disease. The gut microbiota is one of the potential sources of biomarkers, changes in the composition of which in PD are actively studied.The aim of this study is to identify microbiota biomarkers in the Parkinson’s disease with an estimated accuracy of the diagnostics, including differential diagnostics, relative to other neurological diseases for patients of the Russian population.Material and methods. One hundred ninety-two metagenomics profiles from patients with Parkinson’s disease (n = 93), people with other neurological diagnoses (n = 33), and healthy controls (n = 66) were included in this study. These profiles were obtained with amplicon sequencing of bacterial 16S rRNA genes. Classifying models were made using the naive Bayes classifier, the artificial neural network, support vector machine, generalized linear model, and partial least squares regression.As a result we established that an optimal classification by the composition of the gut microbiota on the validation sample (sensitivity 91.30%, specificity 91.67% at 91.49% accuracy) amid patients was demonstrated with a naive Bayes classifier using the representation of the following genera as predictors: Christensenella, Methanobrevibacter, Leuconostoc, Enterococcus, Catabacter, Desulfovibrio, Sphingomonas, Yokenella, Atopobium, Fusicatenibacter, Cloacibacillus, Bulleidia, Acetanaerobacterium, and Staphylococcus.Conclusions. Information of the gut microbiota taxonomic composition may be used in differential diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease.

The paper is devoted to the question of natural radionuclides (40K, 238U, 232Th) distribution in the soils on the territory of New Moscow. Based on the processing of the results of aero-gamma-spectrometry and analysis of extensive cartographic material (geological, soil, neotectonic maps, satellite data SRTM), the distribution of these radionuclides within the area under consideration has been estimated. The areas with elevated values of radionuclides relative to regional background values characteristic for the territory of the European part of Russia have been identified. These areas are considered as potentially dangerous for the environment and human health. Using GIS-technology has allowed determining probable anthropogenic and natural causes of the obtained distribution. Elevated contents of radionuclide 40K (up to 2,3%) coincide with the location of agricultural land and farms and, most likely, are associated with excessive mineral fertilization. The maximum contents of the radionuclide 238U (up to 2•10-4%) are localized at the intersection of the neotectonic fault and river valleys. High concentrations of radionuclide 232Th (up to 11,9•10-4%) are concentrated at the sites of development of large cracks and neotectonic fault, determined by authors as a result of relief digital model designing, and most likely, are due to natural causes (the composition of the initial rocks – substrate).

There is an increase in the prevalence of chronic, noncommunicable diseases, including allergic and autoimmune diseases in developed countries. In this regard, the study of factors modifying the population’s immune response is very important.According to the “old friends” hypothesis , insufficiency of infectious stimulation and decrease in prevalence of helminthiasis are associated with development of noncommunicable diseases. Studies revealed that intestinal parasites modulate the host immune response and alter susceptibility to immunological diseases. It is suggested that one of the pathogenetic mechanisms of immune response modulation by parasites is an increase in the content of gastrointestinal bacteria with anti-inflammatory effect. Advanced technologies of microorganism identification provide a deep insight into the microbiota in different pathologies. The study of changes in the intestine and bile microbiota of the host in helminthiases provides new possibilities for prevention, diagnosis and control of such conditions as chronic inflammatory bowel diseases and allergic diseases. The purpose of this review is to analyze current experimental and clinical data on intestinal microbiota in helminth infections and possible association with development of chronic noncommunicable diseases.

The paper presents the results of studies of the operation of the inverting DC–DC converter with charge pump and LDO, which are part of the combined bipolar secondary power supply LM27762, at the near to maximum input voltage of 5.5 V and an output voltage of –4.9 V. The ripple voltages were measured at various load currents from 10 to 250 mA at the positive pole of the flying capacitor, at the output of the charge pump system and at the output of the microcircuit. It was shown for the first time on the basis of the obtained information that at low load currents up to about 107 mA the charge pump system operates in the burst mode, and at currents greater than 109 mA – in the charge pump mode with a constant frequency. The results do not confirm the information in the documentation on the microcircuit that, at themaximum input voltage of 5.5 V, the charge pump can enter the PWM mode in hot conditions. When working in burst mode, the presence of LDO in the LM27762 chip reduces the ripples of the negative voltage at the output. However, they significantly exceed the values given in the documentation on the chip. During switching to the constant–frequency mode, the level of negative voltage ripples at the output of the microcircuit decreases sharply, but it increases with further increase of the load current and exceeds the values given in the documentation.

Based on the consideration and analysis of different approaches to obtaining data for constructing a digital elevation model and types of three-dimensional surface representation, the choice of the most optimum technique for construction and visualization of three- dimensional model of the volcano-sedimentary cover of the Streltsovskaya caldera in Eastern Transbaikalia has been substantiated. The creation of such model determines the need for detection, identification and monitoring of processes, phenomena and factors of natural and anthropogenic origin at uranium deposits of the same named ore field, which are developed by underground way in difficult mining and geological conditions. To solve this problem, modeling of the daylight surface relief and the basement roof has been carried out on the basis on remote sensing data, geophysical studies, cartographic materials vectorization and processing results. The space between the constructed surfaces due to the algorithm for creating closed framework of surfaces has been transformed into a new object representing three-dimensional volumetric model of the caldera volcano-sedimentary cover. The received results allow creating a predictive model of the tectonic and dynamic state of the Streltsovky ore field rock massifs for the deposits development and mine workings design.

The algorithm of operation of MCP1253 charge pump converter in buck mode is studied for the first time by detailed measurements of ripples of output voltage and flying capacitor voltage. Some experimental results for MCP1253 operation in regulation buck mode at combinations of input voltage 5.1 V and output voltage 3.5 V, input voltage 5.1 V and output voltage 4.8 V and input voltage 2.2 V and output voltage 1.7 V for the range of load current from 2 to 100 mA are presented as examples. Realized investigations revealed that algorithm of MCP1253 operation in buck mode, described by its manufacturer, is not defined the all different cases of its use. The algorithm depends on the ratio between input and output voltages, their values and load currents.

A motherboard for computer-aided investigation of characteristics of secondary power supply sources has been developed, manufactured and adjusted. A version of such circuit board is made for the purpose of studying a controlled compensating voltage regulator with continuous control function, based on the integrated circuit LM317L. Software for microcontroller PIC18F4550 has been developed which allows to display information on seven-segment LED indicators, respond to the input from a matrix keyboard, exchange data, via interface RS-232 by means of protocol, with a personal computer. A virtual front panel of the test bench for training is created, reproducing a real one, and the developed software allows to use this panel for carrying out laboratory experiments related to studying of principles of operation, the basics of physics and circuit technique of secondary power supply sources, and also remotely controlling of the test bench through USB cable connected to the PC. Besides, the additional software allows to easily design laboratory experiments on the test bench. The additional software enables to easily introduce changes into the virtual front panel, to set different tasks during experiments and even change types of secondary power supply sources under investigation.

Arterial hypertension - the most common cardiovascular syndrome in many countries of the world. Up to 40-50% of the adult population of economically developed countries has an arterial pressure in excess of 140/90 mm Hg. Art. The author discusses the results of research conducted in 2010 -2012 inthe department of resuscitation and intensive care of theChernivtsiRegionalPsychiatric Hospital. 40 patients were examined: Group 1 - 20 patients diagnosed with withdrawal due to delirium alcohol. The results indicate significant hemodynamic disturbances in patients with withdrawal due to the use of delirium alcohol and patients with threatened delirium during hospitalization.

The purpose of this paper is to study the most common non-motor symptoms of the Parkinson’s disease (PD): olfactory dysfunction, constipation and associated with them variety of fecal microorganisms in patients with Parkinson’s disease.Materials and methods. We studied olfactory function in 51 patients with PD using Sniffin Sticks Test and taxonomic composition of fecal microbiota.Results. Olfactory dysfunctions (hyposmia, anosmia) were found in most patients that participated in study as well as differences in alpha-variety of gut microbiota among groups with different olfactory characteristics.Conclusion. Our findings suggest that the composition of gut microbiota must be associated with etiology and pathogenesis of PD.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the ability of systemic glucocorticosteroids administered during the exacerbation of the disease to have a modifying effect on the qualitative and quantitative composition of the oropharyngeal microbiota.Material and methods. The study included 88 patients with COPD and 50 patients with stable asthma. The patients have had a history of observation for twelve months or more; they are characterized by the absence of exacerbations and systemic antibiotic therapy for four weeks or more prior to inclusion in the study. Also, all patients participating in the study were taken samples of oropharyngeal microbiota for isolating bacterial DNA and sequencing 16S rRNA gene sequences followed by the analysis of the taxonomic composition of the microbiota. Generalized linear model implemented in the R programming language version 3.1.0, glm2 package was used to identify the relationship between taxonomic composition of metagenomes and metadata.Results. The study suggests that the use of systemic glucocorticosteroids administered during the exacerbation of asthma and COPD modifies the composition of the respiratory microbiome in the period of stability increasing the oropharyngeal representation of non-pathogenic bacteria such as Bacteroidetes (including members of the genus Prevotella) and reducing bacterial contamination of oropharyngeal swabs by proteobacteria especially Streptococcus, and Haemophilus, which includes pathogens.

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disorder with a complex pathogenesis. Today more and more studies are focusing on microbiota-gut-brain axis searching the causes of neurodegenerative and neuroinflammatory processes.The aim of our study is to determine the relationship between the composition of gut microbiota and clinical manifestations of PD.Materials and methods. We examined 89 patients with a PD diagnosis. Clinical assessment was performed including medical history collection, rating disease stage using Hoehn and Yahr scale. Motor and nonmotor symptoms as well as possible complication were examined using the Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale. In addition, patients were asked to fill in Parkinson’s Well-Being Map and defecation diary that included Bristol scale. DNA isolation was performed in accordance with the method described. Preparation of libraries and amplicon sequencing of marker variable region V3–V4 of bacterial 16S rRNA genes was performed with MiSeq device (Illumina, USA) according to manufacturer’s standard protocol. Filtering readings by quality and their taxonomic classification were carried out using QIIME version 1.9.0 software. The assessment of statistical differences in abundance of taxonomic units among the groups of patients was performed using IBM SPSS Statistics 23.1 software.As a result, we have identified significant differences in the abundance of seven genera among the groups of patients with different forms of the disease. We identified about 40 genera constituting 54.8% of the intestinal microbiota, that had a correlation with the clinical manifestations of the disease. These microorganisms might be involved in the pathogenesis of PD and, thus, require more clinical research in the light of emerging new methods of altering microbiotic composition by correcting dysbiosis to improve disease management and outcome.

Currently the role of microbiota in diseases pathogenesis, its therapeutic and diagnostic potential are of the utmost interest for scientists and medical doctors. Parkinson’s disease is neurodegenerative disorder for which microbiota’s dysbiosis was previously shown.The main goal of the study is to compare the colon microbiota composition in case of Parkinson’s disease and other neurological pathologies, including idiopathic familial dystonia, essential tremor, multiple sclerosis, multiple system atrophy in order to determine the intestinal flora landscape specific to Parkinson’s disease.Material and methods. One hundred twenty-six patients, 93 with Parkinson’s disease and 33 with other neurological pathology were examined. For all patients, physical examination and fecal samples collection were performed. Microbiota taxonomic composition was analyzed by sequencing of bacterial 16S rRNA genes followed by bioinformatic and statistical analysis.As a result of the study, significant differences between groups in microbiota composition were found. Gut microbiota of patients with Parkinson’s disease was characterized by increase of Desulfovibrio piger, Lactobacillus mucosae, Yokenella regensburgei, Alistipes indistinctus, Oscillospira capillosus, Clostridium bolteae, Soleaferrea massiliensis, Butyricimonas virosa, Dorea massiliensis, Victivallis vadensis abundances. Patients with other neurological diseases had increased levels of bacteria belonging to Blautia, Intestinibacter, Coprococcus genera and Anoxystipes fissicatena, Fusobacterium periodonticum, Gemmiger formicilis, Papillibacter cinnamivorans, Roseburia faecis, Lachnoclostridium indolis, Clostridium populeti, Clostridium tertium, Roseburia intestinalis, Eubacterium desmolans, Eubacterium cylindroides, Clostridium clariflavum, Eubacterium eligens, Coprococcus eutactus, Intestinibacter bartlettii species in their gut microbiota.Consequently, gut microbiota in case of Parkinson’s disease was different from the microbiota of patients with other neurological diseases, including neuroinflammatory and neurodegenerative disorders, in terms of taxonomic diversity and composition.

The article tells about the specific application of antimicrobial agents in pediatric practice, and the most common implications of the use of antibiotics are described. Inclusion of metabiotics into the regimens can improve the quality of treatment of patients, reduce unwanted drug reactions, reduce overall costs if the resources ensuring adequate care for children are used properly. Clinical and microbiological efficacy of this group of drugs, as well as their favorable safety profile, are demonstrated in many randomized clinical trials.

In recent years, medical community has come to the conclusion that the currently used prognostic criteria of the course of COPD, do not allow to predict the further development of the disease, its complications and outcomes with high accuracy. The most popular predictor in clinical practice remains the determination of the level of FEV1. However, the need to expand the list of criteria for determination of a more precise prognosis and clinical outcome of the disease is obvious. The main task of modern pulmonology is the search for prognostic markers of several complex parameters, capable of ensuring the timely prognosis and choice of adequate therapy. The presence of comorbid diseases and high frequency of exacerbations in COPD patients should be treated as such markers.

An automated test bench for the study of the characteristics of various kinds of chips of mobile sources of regulated charge pump secondary power supply receiving energy from batteries was created. Having a modular structure, the test bench includes, in addition to the test charge pump module, power supply, control, load, display modules, and a USB module for connection with a computer. The test bench enables carrying out research of various types of chips by changing only one small measuring board. The control module is based on PIC18F2550 microcontroller. The automated measuring system consists of a multimeter and oscilloscope. The investigated characteristics are output voltage as a function of load current, output voltage as a function of supply voltage, the forms of the output voltage ripple, the response of chips to a stepped load transition. One of the major goals of the research is to study algorithms of the charge pump circuits. A program for controlling the test bench by creating a virtual front panel was developed. Together with a virtual panel of the oscilloscope and available multimeter software this allows controlling the equipment operating parameters and making measurements remotely over the Internet. Using the created test bench new experimental data on all of the above characteristics for MAX1759 chip were obtained, and an algorithm of this chip in the buck mode operation was studied for the first time.

Article represents the results of studies on the use of the method of assessment of heart rate variability in patients with alcohol withdrawal syndrome without delirious syndrome and in patients with the condition as a result of alcohol withdrawal with delirium tremens in the intensive care unit. The studies were conducted on the first day of hospitalization in both groups of patients in the clinic. These data were compared with the norms of the corresponding options of heart rate variability and among themselves. The results indicate a significant autonomic dysfunction in patients with chronic alcohol dependence. The study determined the correlation between heart rate variability and hemodynamics in both groups.

The significance of arterial hypertension (AH) is discussed as the main predictor of cardiovascular catastrophes development — myocardial infarction and stroke, and technologies for the solution of blood pressure (BP) control. The most modern world developments are presented for the distant observation of cardiovascular system (CVS) condition, including BP level in high risk patients. The main specifications of abroad invasive BP systems are provided, and Russian developing system with a layout of BP sensor and the method of no wired signal transmission and electrical supply. It is presupposed that such invasive device can in real time mode send the data on BP and its values, that characterize CVS condition. In critical BP changes the signals of alarm are incorporated to send to the emergency care stations and to the physician for proper solutions on the care, including urgencies. Such system might increase the effectiveness of prophylactic and medical care for the patients with cardiovascular pathology, increase the duration of life, and decrease funding, and not need supplementary inclusion of higher qualified specialists for dispensary screening.

The description of concrete examples of the equipment is given. The analysis of work of devices is executed. Results of work and conclusions are offered. The estimation and the characteristic of the used equipment and system as a whole are given.

Исследованы алмазы из Ичетъюского месторождения спорного генезиса с применением методов рентгеноструктурного анализа, сканирующей электронной микроскопии, катодо-, фото- и рентгенолюминесценции; спектроскопии комбинационного рассеяния и ИК-поглощения, ЛА-ИСП-МС, изотопной массспектрометрии. Проанализирована кристалломорфология алмазов, определены параметры форм их мантийного растворения, степень и характер пластических и ударных деформаций. Выявлены особенности внутреннего строения, люминесцентно-спектроскопические свойства. Оценены валовая концентрация структурного азота, степень агрегации точечных азотных дефектов, температура мантийного отжига. Определен состав микроэлементов и изотопия углерода. Изучен минерально-фазовый состав плёнок на поверхности алмазов. Сделан вывод о туффизито-флюидизатном генетическом типе Ичетъюского месторождения
