1. Multimodal Communicative Moves in Expositive Dialogue: Common and Novel Topic Elaboration

Abstract

The study explores the distribution and structure of multimodal clusters presenting a series of communicative moves in expositive dialogues: Request, Elaboration, and Response. We hypothesize that multimodal clustering of moves will be predetermined by the use of either common (for both participants) or novel topic elaboration as a nucleus move within the cluster. To proceed, we conduct a multimodal experiment which recorded the participants’ gesture with motion capture system (Perception Neuron Motion Capture) and gaze with eye-tracking glasses (Tobii Pro Glasses 2), as well as their speech and overall multimodal behavior with a stationary camera. The study reveals significant differences in the use of both face-oriented gaze and contactestablishing gesture as modulated by Request and Response moves within common or novel topic elaboration clusters; however, face-oriented gaze use manifests both higher frequency and diversity. Mutual face-oriented gaze prevails at the Request move preceding common topic elaboration, whereas elaborating a novel topic is found to produce a more involved gaze reaction of the listener during the Response moves. Additionally, simultaneous (by both participants) verbal move is more typical of common topic elaboration. The results evidence that social interaction and communication in expositive dialogue is processed multimodally and predetermines the role of gaze, gesture and verbal moves in communicative moves clusters.

Abstract

Introduction. In the presented article the analysis of the phenomenon of platformization with the use of the dialectical method was carried out. Theoretical analysis.The premise of platformization is the identity of the idea and the business model, as well as value and cost. The starting point for the movement of the idea of platformization is the request (of the subject to the platform and back), inseparably connected with its opposite – the access. The synthesis of request and access is seduction as an appeal to make requests to gain access to benefits which in fact turn out to be imaginary. The revealed reality of seduction, which seeks guaranteed and predictable results, is grasped by the notion of surveillance. Surveillance is implemented in the quantitative analysis of the subject’s behavior to calculate the probability of his behavior and to increase it through immersiveness, which allows to collect as much data as possible, and learning. For a subject, learning is a requirement for the constant acquisition of new behavior patterns and is a value without cost, i.e., a form of alienation of the subject from public good. For platforms, learning refers to the acquisition of data-in-themselves-and-for-themselves-being in machine intelligence. Conclusion. Machine intelligence today is an incomplete stage of platformization without pronounced internal moments, so the dialectical analysis should stop at this stage.

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to study the procedural possibilities of a request and permission to change the remand in custody to a more lenient preventive measure during pre-trial criminal proceedings. The article uses the methods of system analysis, synthesis, analogy and generalization. The author concludes that a direct appeal to the court with a request to mitigate the preventive measure in the form of detention at the preliminary investigation stage within the meaning of the criminal procedure law by the participants in criminal proceedings on the part of the defense is possible at the time when the court considers the investigator's request to extend the period of detention or to change the preventive measure, or at any time during criminal proceedings in the case of a bail application. When the request for changing the preventive measure is received during the preliminary investigation from the participants in the criminal proceedings on the part of the defense during the period between court sessions on the extension of the preventive measure, the court must assess its content. If there is no evidence of a change in the grounds for changing the preventive measure in the form of detention to a more lenient one, the court shall refuse to accept the request for consideration. If the circumstances indicated in the request show a change in the grounds for applying the preventive measure, the court must adopt it and consider it under the adversarial conditions with the participation of the parties in the order of Article 108 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation. In the event of refusal to satisfy the request, a repeated request on the same ground is not permitted.

Abstract

Introduction. The paper is devoted to analyzing the main lines of modernization of kindergartens and nurseries in the Lower Volga region in the second half of the 1950s to the mid-1980s. Materials. The article is based on the factual material extracted from the funds of the central and local archives, reporting and paperwork, legislative documents, and statistical collections. Methods. The study is based on a set of methodological techniques, including special methods of historical studies such as the historical-comparative, statistical and quantitative methods. Analysis. Analyzing a wide array of statistical data allows to make a number of important observations and to conclude that by the mid-1980s the above-mentioned institutions in the region under study had higher quantitative development indicators in comparison with the neighboring oblasts and republics in the Volga economic district, as well as in comparison with the all-Russian and even all-Union levels. Results. In conclusion, the author infers that by spring 1985, services of nurseries and kindergartens really became more accessible to the residents of the region under study. However, based on the qualitative criteria, we see that the level of their services reached by 1985 could not yet meet the growing needs of the population, especially in the countryside.

Abstract

Lermontov’s contemporaries were against the judgments about the poet’s “amorality” and “lack of religious belief”, who was, in fact, a truly devoted Orthodox Christian. This is reflected in his poetry: four works out of a short list of his poems are entitled The Prayer, in other words, aspire to “raise the heart and mind to God” directly. The article analyzes these poems that present diff erent possibilities of implementation of this devotion. Lermontov is extremely diverse: from an “invoking” prayer and a direct “request” he comes to the revelation of the Holy Mother icon and to the understanding of a special infl uence of a prayer on a human’s soul. Joint review of these prayers forms an idea of a “full cycle” of the Divine’s poetical discovery: from romantic appeal to the Almighty together with perception of the darkness of a chosen way, to ironical “pleading” to the “Heavenly King” to liberate him from the ties of Junkerdom; from a passionate monologue to the Holy Virgin with prayers for the miserable beloved, to understanding of a prayers’ special meaning for a Christian, to creation of an overall wide and whole image of a prayer. A prayer without an “invoking” or a “request” is joyful and blessing at the same time; it is intended for a difficult and sad moments of life.

6. Pragmatic Usage in Academic Email Requests: Comparing Written DCT and Email Data

Abstract

Abstract - This project investigated the authenticity of written DCT with request emails from students to faculty. The researchers collected 52 emails from 12 Chinese graduate students majoring in Engineering at a southwest university at the United States and categorized them into five settings (appointment, committee, registration, signature and updates). These 12 participants also took the written DCT that was designed by the researchers based on the real email data. This article compared the outcomes from the real email data and the written DCT in term of length, supportive moves, request perspective and request strategies. The results showed that participants produced longer request in real email than in written DCT. There was no significant difference between real email data and written DCT in terms of grounder and request perspective.

Данная статья посвящена рассмотрению зависимости просодии просьбы в южнорусском фонорегиолекте от места проживания информантов – города или села. Для реализации данной задачи применялся комплексный метод экспериментально-фонетического исследования просодии речи, который состоял из полевого наблюдения, приемов трансплантации, аудитивного и электроакустического анализов, математико-статистической обработки полученных данных и их лингвистической интерпретации. Для получения более точных данных, первоначально просодия просьбы изучена на фоне немаркированного нейтрального побуждения, а также в официально-деловом и непринужденном стилях. В ходе проведенного экспериментально-фонетического исследования раскрыто влияние стилевой дифференциации на на модификацию просодии побуждения; выявлены различия в просодических структурах побуждения, мотивированные социально-региональной принадлежностью коммуниканта. Результаты проведенного исследования являются определенным вкладом в разработку вопросов вариантологии, намечают пути дальнейшего изучения речевой просодии коммуникативных типов высказывания с учетом различных экстралингвистических факторов.

Abstract

This article analyses the process of getting permission for building new churches of the after-reform period. The source of the present research is the archival cases about the church building which are kept in the Moscow Central State Archive. The author distinguishes three stages in the described process: submitting the documents, checking the information and arriving at decisions. First, the petitioners submitted their requests with the detailed personal data, about the reasons for building a new church, about the source and the amount of the financing, about the availability of the land for the church construction, about the consecration of the altar, and the plan of the building and the area. The commission arrived at the decision about permitting or rejecting to build a certain church taking into consideration all these factors. The author comes to a conclusion that the main factor in such decisions for the church authority was the material security of a priest, the ability of a parish to financially support a church construction, to maintain the church itself and the clergy of the parish. The process described in the article helps to supplement our knowledge about the parish creation, and to understand the scale of the problem of maintaining the clergy which has an influence even on this aspect of the parish life.

Abstract

В декабре 2020 г. в Федеральном законе «Об оперативно-розыскной деятельности» появилась статья 12.1 «Недопустимость разглашения сведений об осуществлении оперативно-розыскной деятельности». В процессе анализа содержания данной нормы делается вывод о появлении нового вида конфиденциальной информации (новой тайны) — тайны оперативно-разыскных запросов. Данную тайну составляют сведения, содержащиеся в запросах, направляемых гражданам или организациям в ходе осуществления оперативно-разыскной деятельности. Такие запросы, как правило, направляются при проведении оперативно-разыскного мероприятия «Наведение справок». Проводится сравнительный анализ новой тайны с наиболее близкой — следственной. По мнению автора, указанный в запросе запрет на распространение сведений формирует у ознакомившихся с ним лиц обязанность соблюдения конфиденциальности. Определяются ситуации, когда такую запись в запросе следует производить. Предложен примерный вариант такой записи. Обосновывается позиция об обеспечении защиты новой тайны мерами государственного принуждения в виде возможности наступления юридической ответственности. Выделяется три вида ответственности: дисциплинарная, административная, а для должностных лиц, если разглашение сведений привело к существенному нарушению прав и законных интересов граждан или организаций, — уголовная ответственность., In December 2020, Article 12.1 "Inadmissibility of disclosure of information on the implementation of operational-search activities" appeared in the Federal Law "On operational-search activities." In the process of analyzing the content of this norm, it is concluded that a new type of confidential information (new secret) appears — the secrets of operational-search requests. This secret is the information contained in the requests sent to citizens or organizations during the implementation of operational-search activities. Such requests, as a rule, are sent during the operational-search event "Guidance of Inquiries". A comparative analysis of the new mystery is carried out with the closest — investigative. According to the author, the ban on the dissemination of information specified in the request forms the obligation of confidentiality among those who have familiarized themselves with it. Determines when such an entry should be made in the query. An exemplary embodiment of such a recording is provided. The position is justified on ensuring the protection of new secrecy by measures of state coercion in the form of the possibility of legal liability. Abstract

В результате работы изучены способы взаимодействия программ между собой на примере использования технологии GraphQL при программировании на C# и её применимости при построении современных информационных систем. Cпроектирована база данных с использованием объектно-ориентированной технологии Entity Framework и подхода Code First. Изучена open-source библиотека «Hot Chocolate» и особенности работы с ней. Описаны основы работы с языком запросов, представлены результаты обращения к базе данных при формировании номенклатурных позиций. Объединение нескольких подзапросов в одну конечную точку. Особое отличие данной технологии -использование всех полей в модели данных в качестве аргументов при фильтрации. Проанализирована структура данных ответа и её влияние на коммутационную сеть. As a result of the work, there are studied the ways of interaction of programs with each other by the example of using GraphQL technology in programming on C# and its application in the construction of modern information systems. The database was designed, using the objectoriented EntityFramework technology and the CodeFirst approach. There are studied the opensource library «Hot Chocolate» and the features of working with it. Also are described the basics of working with the query language and the results of accessing the database during the formation of nomenclature positions. There is combining multiple subqueries into one endpoint. The differentiating feature of this technology is using all fields in the data model as arguments during filtering. Analyzed the response data structure and its impact on the switching network.

Development of the design of a tool for distribution of hardware resources based on a queuing system with priority queues;2. Development of algorithms for calculating the order of engineers’ requests for a cluster in accordance with the priorities of these requests;3. Implementation of a tool for distribution of hardware resources based on a queuing system with priority queues;4. Analysis of the results of the tool, it’s testing and comparison of efficiency with the existing analogue.The project resulted in a software product that reduces the time it takes to transfer hardware resources between engineers, allowing them to plan their work tasks based on the schedule of each cluster. Subsequently, it is assumed that this tool will be improved over time by adding new functionality and optimizing already developed functions.The practical significance of the work is due to the lack of such tools in the application are in the specific infrastructure of Dell Technologies.

Abstract

The work of the technical department of the Ministry of Social Policy of the Sverd-lovsk region (hereinafter – the Ministry) was analyzed, on the basis of which it was decided to intro-duce an incident management system. The main requirements from the Ministry were identified, which were used to search for analogues, their comparison and analysis, and the OTRS system was selected. It was installed and configured on the basis of technical specifications, as well as somewhat improved. Была проанализирована работа технического отдела Министерства социальной политики Свердловской области (Далее – Министерство), по результатам которой было решено вводить систему управления инцидентами. Были определены основные требования от Министерства, по которым был осуществлен поиск аналогов, их сравнение и анализ, и выбрана система – OTRS. Она была установлена и настроена исходя из ТЗ, а также несколько улучшена.

The aim of the article is to create a system for indicating the operational values of the technological process parameters on mobile devices using the Raspberry Pi microcomputer. The text gives valuable information about industrial protocols such as Modbus and Ethernet. It gives a detailed analysis of Python Modbus libraries. The article provide review several ready-made solutions for creating a system for the operational display of process parameters on mobile devices, namely: MasterSCADA 4D of the INSAT company, SCADA SimpLight by Simp Lite and development of Siberia Electrical Systems. As a result, the following was developed: a server for transferring process parameters, a mobile client, a parameter caching function for the server, and a request structure.

Тема магистерской диссертации: «Обработка клиентских запросов с использованием облачных технологий в банковской сфере» Магистерская диссертация выполнена на 98 страницах, содержит 3 таблицы, 18 рисунков, 60 использованных источников. Актуальность использования облачных технологий в банках возросла в связи с переходом России на «цифровую» экономику, что подразумевает под собой перевод значительной части капитальных вложений в ИТ, а не в операционные расходы, сокращение затрат и ускорение цикла создания и вывода на рынок новых продуктов. Целью работы является внедрение и обеспечение безопасности облачных технологий для обработки клиентских запросов в банковской сфере. Задачи работы:  изучение теоретических основ облачных технологий и защиты информации;  анализ обработки запросов и выявление текущих проблем;  разработка методологии внедрения облачных технологий при обработке внешних запросов. Объект исследования является региональный̆ банк АО «ВУЗ-банк». Предмет исследования - обработка клиентских запросов. В первой главе был проведен обзор облачных технологий, характерных при развитии цифровой экономики, а также вопросы безопасности их применения в банковской сфере. Кроме того, были рассмотрены крупнейшие провайдеры и способы подбора лучшего из них для каждого конкретного предприятия. Во второй главе описывается методология внедрения облачных технологий при обработке внешних запросов клиента, подробно рассматривается политика информационной безопасности банка и принципы обучения сотрудников. Третья глава посвящена изучению характеристики предприятия АО «ВУЗ-банк», анализу обработки внешних запросов в компании и описанию основных проблем в ходе обработки данных при использовании облачных технологий. Результаты работы: внедрение и обеспечение безопасности облачных технологий для обработки клиентских запросов в банковской сфере была успешно доказана. Theme of the master's thesis is: "Processing of client requests using cloud technologies in the banking sphere" The master's thesis is executed on 98 pages, contains 3 tables, 18 figures, 60 sources used. The urgency of using cloud technologies in banks has increased in connection with the transition of Russia to a "digital" economy, which implies the transfer of a significant part of capital investments in IT, rather than in operating expenses, reducing costs and accelerating the cycle of creating and launching new products. The goal of the work is to implement and provide security for cloud technologies for processing client requests in the banking sector. Objectives of work:  studying the theoretical foundations of cloud technologies and information protection;  analysis of query processing and identification of current problems;  development of a methodology for implementing cloud technologies for processing external requests. The object of the study is a regional bank of VUZ-Bank JSC. The subject of the research is the processing of client requests. In the first chapter, a review was made of cloud technologies, characteristic for the development of the digital economy, as well as the safety of their application in the banking sector. In addition, the largest providers and ways of selecting the best of them for each particular enterprise were considered. The second chapter describes the methodology for implementing cloud technologies when processing external customer requests, details the Bank's information security policy and the principles of employee training. The third chapter is devoted to the study of the characteristics of the enterprise JSC VUZ-Bank, the analysis of processing external requests in the company and a description of the main problems in the processing of data using cloud technologies. The results of the work: the introduction and security of cloud technologies for the processing of client requests in the banking sector has been successfully proven.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the design of the accounting module for exhibits of the Museum of Local Lore. V.S. Maltsev, namely: the submission of a document on the image and boundaries of projects and options for using the created automated system. It is shown that the management decision to develop such a module is dictated by the need to compensate for the limited space of the museum exhibition space, to provide access to all materials of the fund through virtual space. A detailed description of the functions of the projected module of accounting for exhibits, as well as use cases (use case diagram) of a future automated system give a complete picture of the project Статья посвящена вопросам проектирования модуля учета экспонатов краеведческого музея им. В.С. Мальцева, а именно: представлению документа об образе и границах проектах и вариантах использования создаваемой автоматизированной системы. Показано, что управленческое решение о разработке такого модуля продиктовано необходимостью компенсировать ограниченность выставочного пространства музея, обеспечить доступ ко всем материалам фонда посредством виртуального пространства. Подробное описание функций проектируемого модуля учета экспонатов, а также вариантов использования (диаграмма use case) будущей автоматизированной системы дают законченное представление о проекте

Abstract

В статье рассматривается этикетная ситуация просьба как акт реализации побуждения адресата (слушающего) к выполнению действия. Приводятся определения и классификация формул, выражающих просьбу в русском языке. Уделяется внимание вопросам необходимости знания формул речевого этикета в ситуации просьбы. Указывается необходимость создания учебно-методического обеспечения процесса преподавания русского языка как иностранного и как неродного для общения в официальной и неофициальной обстановке. The article deals with the etiquette situation request as an act of implementation of the addressee’s motivation (listener) to perform an action. The author provides definitions and classification of formula expressing request in the Russian language. Attention is paid to the need of knowing the formula of speech etiquette in the situation of request. The necessity of creating educational and methodical support of the process of teaching Russian as a foreign language and as a non-native language for communication in the official and informal environment is pointed out. For students who study the Russian language as a foreign language, a set of exercises is designed to practice the skill of using different verb forms when addressing the recipient with a request.
