The article deals with the Mongolian theme in works of the Kalmyk writer Mikhail Khoninov. The autobiographical aspect in the poet’s lyrics was determined by his army service in the Transbaikalia Military District on the Soviet-Mongolian border in 1939-1941, and memories of that period. His poems of the late 1930s, 1960s and 1970s convey the themes of friendship between the two countries and peoples, military and fraternal assistance of the Soviet Union to Mongolia in the history of the Revolution, wars, Socialist construction, and space exploration endeavors. The past, present and future unite the plots of the Mongolian theme in M. Khoninov’s lyrics. Mutual translations of Kalmyk and Mongolian poets demonstrate literary ties between the kindred cultures.

The article is devoted to the theme of starvation in Russian prose of the early 1920s. The modifications of Russian folk legends about the Promised Land are considered.

The reсeption and representation of the definitions «one`s own» — «alien» based on the story by A. Seraphimovich «Steppe people» arconsiderred in the article. The national identity is manifested in the plot of the story through the conflict of social and human, individual and public, personal and state.

Background. The variety of current methods for assessing the healthcare personnel resources remains insufficient to completely evaluate the actual staffing and needs of certain medical institutions. Using a combination of different sources of data enables a more comprehensive picture of the healthcare personnel situation to be obtained. Objective. To identify the potential for improving approaches to assessment of the personnel situation in community pediatric services at the regional level. Methods. The present study involved data from Krasnodar Krai, Astrakhan and Volgograd Oblasts: Federal Statistical Monitoring form No. 30 “Information on Medical Organization” for 2007–2022, as well as depersonalized data from the regional registers of medical workers and assigned population of Krasnodar Krai as of 01.01.2023. The methodology involved statistical and analytical methods. The study estimated the following parameters: community pediatric staffing in relation to? the child population, the staffing level of pediatric full-time positions, the rate of part-time jobs, and the average number of children per pediatrician. Results. The study justified the possibility of using additional sources of data to evaluate the personnel situation in local, municipal or regional healthcare institutions. The authors suggested an interactive analytical board for graphical visualization of the current state of healthcare human resources. Conclusion. The introduction of additional sources of information and monitoring in the healthcare human resources policy encourages a systematic comprehensive approach to estimating the staffing requirements.

Dioxin and dioxin-like compounds are persistent organic pollutants that received considerable attention in recent years due to their high potential toxicity, wide distribution and extreme stability. Polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDDs) and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDFs) mainly occur in the environment as a result of several human activities including combustion, incineration and many other industrial activities, whereas polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) congeners were intentionally manufactured and widely used in various fields. Since dioxin and dioxin-like compounds are found in various environmental compartments (air, water, soil, sludge, sediment, food, feed, blood, animal and human tissues), humans could be exposed to them via inhalation, dermal contact or food ingestion. However, 90% of human exposure to dioxin is through food ingestion particularly foods from animals and foods that are rich in fat. In contrast, only low levels have been found in food items of plant origin. Exposure to dioxin compounds is associated with various adverse health problems. However, their toxicity varies dramatically according to the type of dioxin, species of exposed organism, as well as exposure frequency and duration. Dioxins are mainly determined by instrumental chromatographic methods such as GC-HRMS and GC–MS/MS. Many efforts have been made to remove, reduce and prevent these hazardous substances from the environment. However, the best method for reducing human exposure to dioxins and dioxin-like compounds is controlling and minimizing their production. In this article, structures, sources, exposure, toxicity and analysis methods of dioxin and dioxin-like compounds in meat and other foods were reviewed.

In this paper, we analyze the outage performance of Device-to-Device (D2D) communication system in the presence of co-channel interference (CCI). Gamma distribution is considered here to model the random channel gain powers of D2D communication system and co-channel interferers. A characteristic function (CF) expression of the D2D communication system in the presence of CCI is presented as a function of various parameters of the system. Based on this CF expression an outage probability expression is presented as a function of arbitrary parameters of channel fading, CCI and path-loss. Effects of the CCI on the outage performance are then discussed with the help of numerical results under various channel and interference conditions.

New types of organic-inorganic hybrid nanocomposites based on nanosized Titanium (IV) oxide TiO2 (<100 nm particle size) and carbon nanotubes (CNT, outer diameter 10-15 nm, inner diamentre 2-6 nm, length 0.1-10 µm) and phosphatidilcholine were elaborated for improvement of analytical characteristics of screen printed electrodes. These nanomaterials were employed as an interface for the immobilization of skeletal myoglobin. Electrochemical behavior of myoglobin on such interfaces was characterized with cyclic voltammetry (CV) and square wave voltammetry (SWV). Direct unmediated electron transfer between myoglobin and electrodes modified with organic-inorganic hybrid nanocomposites was registered. TiO2 film and CNT film are biocompartible nanomaterials for myoglobin as was demonstrated with UV-Vis spectra. The midpoint potential of Fe3+/Fe2+ pair of myoglobin corresponded to Е1/2=-0,263 V for CNT film, and Е1/2=-0,468 V for TiO2 nanocomposite (vs. Ag/AgCl reference electrode).
