The closest and most informal contacts between people are established in the sphere of family relations. The family most clearly manifests personality traits of each of its members. Favorable intra-family relationships are a factor in positive spontaneous psycho-corrective effects. The study of the microclimate in the family, the value orientations of its members, areas of personal growth is of great importance for increasing the level of social adaptation of patients with epilepsy. The study of the clinical and psychological aspects of family relationships in pediatric epileptology is given quite a lot of attention; there are few studies of intra-family relationships in adult patients. Knowledge of the psychological microclimate in the family is of great importance for the organization of psychocorrectional work with the patient and his environment. In the diagnosis of personality characteristics and interpersonal relationships of patients with epilepsy, an important role is given to experimentally psychological methods. The results obtained are used in psychocorrectional work and contribute to the solution of socially significant problems of patients with epilepsy.
