The article analyzes materials from the State Archive of the Rostov Region about Zinaida Vissarionovna Ermolyeva, an outstanding Soviet microbiologist and epidemiologist, academician of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences, creator of the first domestic drugpenicillin. Data are provided about her years of study at the Rostov Women's Medical Institute, and the nat the Faculty of Medicine of Don University. Archival materials are considered hat testify to the first stages of her career as a teacher and scientist at the Department of Microbiology of Don University.

Background. Polysaccharides are known to possess adjuvant properties, they are biodegradable, safe, and are of low-labor production. In this regard, the development of polysaccharide-based adjuvants is an urgent task.The aim. To develop a method for obtaining mannans from the cell walls of Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast and to study their adjuvant properties using subunit vaccine model.Materials and methods. The preparation of mannans was obtained from the Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast by enzymatic and alkaline hydrolysis. Its adjuvant properties were assessed in BALB/c mice immunized with the recombinant receptor-binding domain (RBD) of the SARS-CoV-2 (S) protein (Delta (B.1.617.2)). The titers of specific antibodies in the blood sera were determined by ELISA assays using the recombinant RBD (Wuhan-Hu-1 and Delta), and the recombinant (S) protein (Wuhan-Hu-1, Delta and Omicron) as antigens. The titers of virus-neutralizing antibodies were determined using virus-neutralization tests with the SARS-CoV-2 virus strains Wuhan – hCoV19/Australia/VIC01/2020 (Wuhan-Hu-1), Delta – hCoV-19/Russia/PSK-2804/2021 (Delta (B.1.617.2)), and Omicron 1 – hCoV-19/Russia/Moscow171619-031221/2021 (Omicron (B.1.1.529)).Results. The developed scheme allowed for obtaining up to 200 mg of mannans from 10 g of yeast cell debris. Double, with a two-week interval, immunization with RBD (50 μg) in combination with mannans (40 μg and 10 μg) induced the production of specific antibodies in titers from 1:2477330 to 1:188360. The titer of virus-neutralizing antibodies to the Delta – hCoV-19/Russia/PSK-2804/2021 was 1:485 (40 μg of mannans per mouse).Conclusions. We developed a scheme for obtaining a low-toxic preparation of mannans from the Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast. The highest adjuvant activity was achieved when using mannans at the dose of 40 µg per mouse. Blood sera obtained from the immunized animals neutralized both homologous and heterologous SARS-CoV-2 strains.

The article is devoted to the study of the family institute and models of reproductive behaviour of the Russian population in the formation of a new sociо-gender order and demographic environment. The article considers the demographic situation in Russia, analyses the peculiarities of birth rate and the problem of interethnic marriages. The dependence and interrelation between changes in society and the socio-gender order as its constituent are also investigated. Special attention is paid to the anti-family policy of the West being an instrument of the socio-gender strategy. The article presents the research results and statistical data that allow us to draw conclusions about the impact of socio-gender changes on the family institution and reproductive behaviour of Russians. Finally, with the help of the analysis, we comprehend that in the formation of the new socio-gender order and demographic environment of the country, the institution and reproductive behaviour patterns of the citizens are undergoing significant transformations. These changes require an in-depth study and understanding in order to develop effective measures to support the family institution and increase the birth rate in Russia. The paper examines in detail the peculiarities of the Russian demographic situation, including analysis of the birth rate and problems of interethnic marriages. The author reveals the dependence and interrelation between the socio-gender changes and reproductive behaviour of the Russians. The study is valuable to understand current structural and value-based changes of the family as a social institute, its subjectivity and to develop support measures for families and to increase the birth rate. The article may be useful for specialists in demography, sociology, psychology, and other related sciences.

The article investigates digital services as a tool for promoting social interests of Internet users. The analysis is conducted with consideration to the differences between countries and users’ gender. The criterion for selecting states was the human development index. Daily time spent on social networks in different countries is considered as an indicator. The study hypothesis is based on the assumption that the ability to promote social interests through digital services may be related to gender and skills in the sphere of information and communication technologies according to the typology of countries. The relevance of the study stems from the need to examine the impact of these services on the promotion of social interests in the context of gender differences between states. The article сonsiders various aspects of their use for the specified purpose, including a particularly thorough analysis of the emphasised differences in the application. The impact of digital services on the promotion of social interests within the framework of cross-country gender differentiation has also been studied. In addition, the influence of peculiarities of using these services by men and women on lobbying for this type of interests is discussed.

To increase the effectiveness and immunogenicity of modern vaccines, especially subunit ones, it is required to use adjuvants. Polysaccharides, due to their safety and biocompatibility, are desirable candidates for the creation of vaccine adjuvants. The aim of our study was to develop a method for obtaining beta-Glucans from the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae cell wall, and evaluate their adjuvant properties. The high purity and non-toxicity of the resulting preparation was achieved by using enzyme complexes of cellulase and protease in combination with ultrasound (22 kHz) at the purification stage. The developed scheme allows for the yield of beta-Glucans up to 2 g from 100 g of the biomass of wet cells. The adjuvant properties of beta-Glucans were studied in 50 male BALB/c mice, weighing 16–18 g. Immunization was performed twice, with a 14-day interval, intramuscularly, 200 μl per animal. The recombinant receptor-binding domain (RBD) of the surface S protein of the SARS-CoV-2 virus (Wuhan-Hu-1 and B.1.617.2 (Delta)) was used as an antigen, at a dose of 50 μg per animal. A positive control group was administered with the antigen combined with aluminum hydroxide. As a negative control, mice injected with the saline solution were used. The titers of specific antibodies in the blood sera were determined by ELISA assays. RBD (Wuhan-Hu-1 and Delta), and S protein (Wuhan-Hu-1, Delta and Omicron) were used as antigens. The titers of virus-neutralizing antibodies were measured in neutralization tests using SARS-CoV-2 virus strains Wuhan-Hu-1, Delta (B.1.617.2) and Omicron (B.1.1.529). The results of the study have shown that beta-Glucans have the ability to enhance the production of specific and virus-neutralizing antibodies in mice immunized with RBD. The titers of specific and virus neutralizing antibodies are comparable to their levels in the group immunized with RBD and Al(OH)₃. It has been found in the experiments in white outbred ICR mice that the preparation belongs to practically non-toxic substances. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of beta-Glucans could become a preferable alternative to the conventional adjuvants based on aluminum salts, being biocompatible, biodegradable and non-toxic substances of low labor-intensive production.

This article examines a previously underexplored aspect of the Russian Civil War during its critical phase in late 1918–1919: the logistical support provided by the Entente to the White armies in the South, set against the backdrop of the final military interventions. The authors concentrate on the interactions between General A.I. Denikin's regime and the British authorities, who were the primary proponents of the Entente's intervention in Russia, as well as the conditions surrounding the involvement of the French armed forces.The research primarily draws on documents from the Russian State Military Archive, created by officers of the White armies of Southern Russia, and the National Archives of Great Britain. This comprehensive source base enables a reassessment of some long-held views in Russian historiography regarding the Entente's intervention in the Black Sea region. The study aims to delineate the scope and nature of the Entente’s support and to understand why this assistance failed to secure a victory for the White forces.Post-Soviet historiography commonly posits that the Red Army enjoyed an economic advantage in terms of weapons and ammunition supply for most of the Civil War. This article, however, reveals that the support from Entente countries was substantial and that the use of foreign weapons and equipment significantly influenced the late 1918-1919 period. Nonetheless, the critical factor, as argued by the authors, was the timing of deliveries. The peak of the Entente’s military-technical support to the Armed Forces of Southern Russia occurred after the Red Army had already fortified its positions with adequate firepower. The lengthy strategic decision-making processes of the British Cabinet, characteristic of British democratic and bureaucratic systems, resulted in delayed assistance to Denikin’s troops, ultimately undermining its effectiveness.

The aim of the work was to study the epidemiological situation on West Nile fever (WNF) in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2023.Materials and methods. An operational epidemiological analysis of WNF cases registered in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2023 was performed. In order to establish sources and risk factors for infection of the population, 987 samples of zoo-entomological material were examined for the presence of West Nile virus (WNV) markers. A set of laboratory diagnostic methods was used: ELISA, RT-PCR, sequencing.Results and discussion. It has been established that all cases of WNF were registered in the region in the summer-autumn period of 2023, mainly in August, among residents of the city of Kazan who had not traveled outside the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan over the past six months. The incidence rate of WNF in the Republic of Tatarstan was 0.20 per 100 thousand population, the mortality rate reached 12.5 %. Signs of damage to the central nervous system were present in 6 out of 8 (75 %) patients. The majority of people with severe clinical symptoms belonged to older age groups and had concomitant diseases. Cases of the infection were reported in all age groups, with the exception of children and adolescents. The spatial characteristics of morbidity have been investigated, indicating the diffuse nature of the distribution of cases. The integrated use of methods, consisting in the concurrent use of polymerase chain reaction and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, made it possible to laboratory confirm cases of WNF in patients at different stages of the disease. The circulation of a subvariant of the WNV of the second genotype in the Republic of Tatarstan, currently dominant in the southern and central regions of Russia, has been established. A set of measures has been proposed to optimize epidemiological surveillance and control of WNF in the Republic of Tatarstan.

Objective: to systematize knowledge about the information and criminological implications of the legal regulation in combating corruption and to develop proposals for the optimization of its legal means.Methods: a set of scientific cognition methods, including universal and formal-logical methods, primarily formal-legal, modeling, and idealization; a retrospective approach to studying the formation and development of interrelated criminological and political scientific trends, which facilitated the obtaining of this study results. The main scientific tool used was the analytical method.Results: a range of attributes was developed which characterizes the anti-corruption system and the information spectrum of its infrastructure related to three main types of activities: criminological, political, and managerial. Some of these attributes, which characterize the outlines of the emerging “support” concept in the considered system of functioning, were conceptualized and to a certain extent categorized. This, in turn, allowed defining the contours of the emerging system of instrumental knowledge that optimizes the scientific principle implementation in the political management of the anti-corruption system.Scientific novelty: the article presents the idea of conceptualizing scientific provisions regarding the information support of anti-corruption efforts, the mechanism of which has not established yet. In this regard, the authors considers the concepts in the technological area of the anti-corruption management system to be promising. Among them is the idea to introduce such legal mechanisms as criminological monitoring and criminological expertise, a type of which is implemented in the anti-corruption expertise. The article novelty also consists in an additional area of research, which is special preventive for corruption offenses, studied for their effectiveness and ability to ensure criminological security.Practical significance: the theoretical provisions developed in this study are designed to form scientific and criminological criticism in the professional legal consciousness, aimed at decision-making, selecting and implementing means and application technologies in the field of combating corruption.

In recent years, the frequency of contrast-enhanced radiological studies has increased significantly, and the issues of their selection and rational use do not lose their relevance. These methodological recommendations represent a complete up-to-date guide for using contrast agents (CA) in radiology. Types of currently used CA in computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and ultrasound examinations are described. Safety rules for injection of each CA type are systematized, the principles of dosing and possible side effects are explained. In addition, it is important to highlight the issues of interactions between CA and other drugs that patient might take, in particular, the possible deterioration of renal function when using CA in diabetes mellitus patients taking metformin. It should be noted that these recommendations have undergone significant changes in recent years. Also questionnaire templates for patients prior to the contrast-enhanced study are given in the supplements. The methodological guidelines are based on current publications of international experts on CA use in radiology as well as on the data of two major guidelines: American College of Radiologists (ACR) Guidelines (2023) and European Society of Urogenital Radiology (ESUR) Safety Recommendations (2018, version 10). Thus, the information presented is validated, which provides grounds for its application in real clinical practice. The guidelines will be actualized as new scientific evidence becomes available, but to date they appear to be the most relevant.

This article explores the history of the construction of one of the main transportation arteries in modern Iran: the Enzeli-Teheran highway with the Kazvin-Hamadan section. The road was funded by the Russian treasury and aimed to boost Russian-Persian trade by including not only the northern provinces of Persia but also the central part of the country. The intensification of trade was expected to occur through the introduction of automobile traffic on the highway, replacing the archaic caravan routes. The article presents the perspectives of both the Russian government of that period and entrepreneurial circles on the choice of road direction and the justification for transitioning to a new method of cargo delivery. It concludes that there were significant discrepancies in the positions of these parties. While the Russian government saw great geopolitical advantage in connecting the largest Enzeli port with Teheran and constructing the Kazvin-Hamadan branch linking northern Persia with its central part, entrepreneurs viewed it as a threat of European product penetration into northern Persia. Fortunately, the entrepreneurial community was not unanimous in its views, and a group emerged willing to embark on this new venture, promising to be successful and give a fresh impetus to Russian-Persian trade relations.

The comparison of snow density in small open spaces adjacent to forest stands and under the canopy of spruce stands located on the macroslopes of the Middle Urals of the eastem end westem expositions was carried out. It was found that the density of snow in open spaces on the western macroslope is usually higher than on the eastem one. The forest canopy somewhat reduces the difference in the amount of snow density observed between forest clearings, but maintains a tendency of increased density on the western slope. On the western and eastern slopes, there is a higher variation in snow density under the canopy of stands than in forest clearings and a more significant variation under the crowns of spruce (Picea A. Dietr.) than in the aisles. On the eastern slope, the dynamics of snow density in forest clearings over the years of observations has no indisputable connection with the sum of temperatures and precipitation of winter periods. On the western slope, when comparing between the observation seasons, the snow density in the forest clearing differs at a reliable significant level (p < 0.05). The canopy of the forest can regulate the peculiarities of weather conditions, and most often, there is no statistically significant inter-seasonal dynamics of snow density on the permanent trial square of both slopes. A comparison of the snow density under the crowns and in the aisles showed that both on the eastern and western slopes the snow in the aisles is denser. Also, within the season, both on the eastern slope and on the western slope, the peculiarity of the canopy structure of the stand does not create conditions for the formation of snow density significantly different between the permanent trial square. Except for some years when differences are observed on the eastern slope between the density of snow on the permanent trial square with a predominance of the birch proportion in the composition formula and permanent trial square with pure spruce forests.

Many problems of modern forest ecology require analysis of the conjugated dynamics of processes occurring at different spatio-temporal scales of the functioning of plant communities and soils resulted from their interaction under the influence of all edaphic and anthropogenic factors. Mathematical models can be an effective tool for such analysis. The aim of this study is to present the implementation of new model system that makes it possible to reproduce in simulation experiments the spatial structure of forest phytocenoses formed by tree and grass-shrub layers, as well as associated heterogeneity of soil conditions and the diversity of ecological niches at different hierarchical levels. To determine the required level of detail of the spatial heterogeneity of forest biogeocenoses related to the processes of their multi-scale functioning, experimental studies were carried out on permanent sampling plots in the Prioksko-Terrasny State Natural Biosphere Reserve and in the «Kaluzhskie Zaseki» State Nature Reserve. The spatial structure of communities and related heterogeneity of ecological conditions were studied using traditional soil and geobotanical, as well as modern instrumental methods. The obtained data were used to construct the algorithms and to estimate the parameters of different blocks of the new system of models. The implementation of a spatially-explicit process-based system of models has shown its ability to reproduce the dynamics of forest ecosystems, taking into account the species composition and spatial structure of different layers of vegetation and the associated patchiness of soil conditions. Due to a wide range of interrelated ecosystem characteristics implemented in the system of models it is possible to simulate productivity, biological turnover of C and N, and the dynamics of forest ecosystems, taking into account their typical spatial structure at different scales. This improves understanding of ecosystem processes and their contribution to maintaining the sustainable functioning of forests, which can be used for predictive assessments of the efficiency of forest management techniques and in solving other forestry and environmental problems.

The article examines the phenomenon of "Islamic socialism" in Pakistan and its impact on the nation's current domestic and foreign policies. Employing critical theory, the author delves into an analysis of the political class's objectives and how the environmental context influenced the political process, offering insights into the perceptions held by higher echelons. The application of elite theory allows for a deconstruction of the Pakistani statehood, unveiling the specific social groups shaping developmental trajectories. By leveraging historical sociology in international relations, the article investigates the influence of historical underpinnings on the decision-making of social groups, shedding light on their endeavors to construct the past for political purposes.The study meticulously traces the origins of "Islamic socialism," exploring the discourse's evolution in the initial decades following the country's independence. It identifies the driving forces that led the state leadership to adopt the model of "Islamic socialism." Focused on the tenure of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto (1971-1977), the article examines the implementation of the "Islamic socialism" policy and the subsequent reasons for its failure, culminating in a military coup. The author contends that the principles of "Islamic socialism" introduced in Pakistan's domestic and foreign policy retained relevance even after its rejection.Conclusively, the article posits that the "Islamic socialism" constructed by Pakistani elites, often viewed through an orientalist lens, emerged not only as a response to the crisis in Pakistani statehood but paradoxically, became a crucial driver in shaping Islamabad's foreign policy determinants. Notably, this development forged integral relationships with China and the Islamic world, evolving into pivotal imperatives in Pakistan's grand strategy.This study highlights the interplay between "Islamic socialism," the crisis in Pakistani statehood, and its unforeseen impact on foreign policy, ultimately forming the bedrock for Islamabad's strategic engagements with China and the Islamic world.

The article is written in connection with the anniversaries of the life of the great Russian thinker Alexey Fedorovich Losev and is devoted to one of the aspects of his aesthetic research related to the interpretation of music in Neoplatonism. This article makes sense to emphasize the substantial ontological essence of music, relying on Losev’s phenomenological-dialectical method, on his commitment to Neoplatonism as the last significant ancient philosophical movement. Losev considered the philosophical foundations of music in the cosmological treatises of such philosophers as Quintilian, Proclus, Sallust. Touching upon the ancient origins of the philosophy of music as an aesthetic field, the author refers to the Pythagorean teaching of the divine number and the musical harmony of the spheres. At the same time, Neoplatonic ancient philosophy demonstrates different types of existence of music, or ancient Greek music. The combination of the logical and the illogical in Losev’s philosophical thinking allows the author to present through the prism of the philosophy of substantial musical existence the closeness of the idea of the existence of the music of the Neoplatonists, proceeding from the ideas of the One, and Losev, the divine unity, where the thought of music goes far beyond the limits of the actual musical art. Music in philosophical knowledge is outside of art as world harmony, substance, becoming in time, divine number, or the life of numbers, the expression of the numerical first principle. In the sources, the author used the works of A. F. Losev: “The History of ancient Aesthetics”, “Dialectics of myth”, “Dialectical foundations of mathematics”, which presents a deep connection between mathematics and music. At the same time, the author relied on his aesthetic research “The Logos of music in the phenomenological-dialectical method of A. F. Losev”, and other chapters of his book “The Value of Music: a philosophical aspect” and his dissertation “The concept of the value of music as a substance and a way of value interaction of a person with the world”. Summarizing, the author moves from the dialectic of musical-substantial being to the philosophical concept of “musical” as an aesthetic category that requires further research.

Ankle joint injury is one of the leading nosologies in the general structure of the musculoskeletal system lesions, not only among professional athletes, but also among the adult population in general. In case of conservative therapy ineffectiveness, chronic instability of the ankle joint develops, which can significantly reduce the patient’s quality of life, in this situation, the surgical treatment becomes uncontested. The choice of the surgical intervention method is determined not only by the nature of the injury, but also by the ligamentous-tendon apparatus condition. In addition, to a large extent, surgical tactics is chosen based on the preferences of the individual surgeon. The article describes the anatomical and physiological features and risk factors that determine the occurrence of acute the ankle joint instability and its transition to a chronic state, as well as the main methods of the anterior talofibular ligament plastic surgery and their common modifications. Special attention is paid to the effectiveness evaluating methods of surgical techniques on cadaveric ligamentous material. An analysis of the literature shows that the study of the issue remains insufficient. New clinical data obtaining will increase the effectiveness of the surgical technique for ankle instability treating and significantly improve the quality of life of patients.

Aim. Taking into account the above, the purpose of the study was to analyze the patterns of development of the social policy of the Russian Federation, the republics of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia, to consider their weaknesses and points of growth in order to identify the potential for strengthening integration ties based on the unification of social development tools.Task. To analyze various areas of social life of the EAEU member countries, identify similarities in development trends in order to create a basis for the formation of unified socio-economic transformations. To demonstrate social tools for the development of «transinstitutional interaction» within the boundaries of the Eurasian Economic Union.Methods. The following methods were used i n the article: comparative an alysis — to compare the effectiveness of social policy instruments in the EAEU countries. The novelty lies in the improvement of the integration processes of the Eurasian integration countries with the help of the proposed author’s approach to unify the social policies of the EAEU member countries on the basis of “transinstitutional cooperation”.Results. A comprehensive analysis of social policy instruments (migration, youth, labor, housing, etc.) of all participants in the Eurasian integration was carried out. Recommendations are proposed for improving social tools within the framework of “transinstitutional cooperation” of the EAEU states.Conclusion. The analysis of the instruments of social policy laid down the priorities in the development of the mechanisms of “transinstitutional cooperation” by the members of the EAEU, expressed in the author’s recommendations in this study. The Republics of Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Kazakhstan should focus on developing a unified strategy for youth and migration policies. The Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus should focus on population aging, providing older citizens with pension savings, and encouraging the development of family and motherhood institutions. This is disclosed in more detail in separate blocks of the study devoted to specific areas of social development of the EAEU countries.

Objective: to form a brief overview of data on the main historical stages in the development of medical societies in Russia and the contribution of the Rostov branch of the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Society of Epidemiologists, Microbiologists and Parasitologists to ensuring the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population. Materials and methods: analysis of archival materials and literary sources from the databases of electronic libraries e-library, CyberLeninka and others. Results: the contribution of medical societies to the development of domestic medicine and the sanitary and epidemiological service of our country is indicated. Particular attention is paid to the activities of the Rostov regional branch of the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Society of Epidemiologists, Microbiologists and Parasitologists, which brought together specialists from both research and educational institutions, and practical health care of the Don region. Conclusion: The results of practical undertakings and scientific research of medical societies throughout their existence contributed to the development of preventive medicine and were focused on protecting the health of the country's population. The activities of the Rostov Regional Branch of the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Society of Epidemiologists, Microbiologists and Parasitologists are aimed not only at developing domestic medical science and promoting achievements among the medical community and the population, but also at improving the professional level of specialized specialists, developing and implementing effective scientific, practical, educational technologies .

The aim of this paper is to present a comprehensive methodology for conducting both traditional and modified content analysis using transcripts of spoken language from video bloggers as source material. The specific focus of this research centers around video content dedicated to reviewing retro automotive vehicles. The authors delve into two fundamental branches of pragmalinguistics, namely the implicit and functional aspects, while also detailing the analytical techniques employed within these paradigms. The practical application of these methods is illustrated using the oral speeches of the blogger Alexander Chikunov as a case study, providing a clear and tangible demonstration of the process for diagnosing individual personality traits. The initial phase involves an analysis of the material through the lens of implicit pragmalinguistics, encompassing the frequency analysis of speech patterns within the context of selected linguistic strategies, coupled with rigorous statistical data processing. The outcomes pertaining to a specific blogger are subsequently juxtaposed against data from other bloggers within the same genre, thereby facilitating the identification of shared, stereotypical, and unique personality characteristics attributed to the blogger. Moving forward, this article highlights individual traits of the blogger, which were discerned through traditional content analysis techniques. Finally, the study involves an insightful interpretation of the acquired data, culminating in the development of a nuanced portrait of Alexander Chikunov’s speech behavior. A notable aspect of this research lies in its pioneering effort to discern and systematize linguistic features exclusively found within the domain of video blogs. This is achieved by utilizing unscripted spoken language from bloggers as empirical evidence, adding a distinctive dimension to the study’s scientific novelty.

Preserving the integrity of forests after logging and fires involves the development of various methods to promote natural reforestation. One of these methods is the creation of environmentally friendly and safe biofertilizers based on waste from the timber industry. The use of innovative biofertilizer in the Pogorelsky Bor (pine forest) of the Krasnoyarsk forest-steppe had a positive effect on the biopotential of soils and the amount of Scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) undergrowth after selective felling. In the first two years, in all experimental variants, an increase in the activity of hydrolytic and redox enzymes of the soil by 1.5–2 times was noted; they increased compared to the control. Immediately after the introduction of biofertilizer in the soil microbial complex, the amount of cellulolytics increases to 62 thousand CFU/g of soil in the logging areas. By the end of the growing season, both in the first and in the second year of application of biofertilizer in the experimental variant of the logging, sprouts of Scots pine were recorded 2–3 times more than in the control variant of this site. The fire that took place in May 2022 led to an increase in the total number of microorganisms up to 38 million CFU/g of soil and an increase in the activity of a number of hydrolytic enzymes during the growing season in experimental plots using biofertilizer. At the end of the growing season in 2022, there was no response of microorganisms to the application of biofertilizer, and actinomycetes dominated in the soil microbial complex. Also, by September of this year, the cellulose-decomposing potential, humification, and the activity of hydrolytic and redox enzymes decreased by more than 2 times. Biofertilizer significantly stimulated the formation of shoots and undergrowth of pine in the post-fire areas of the technological areas of felling (logging sites and portage) by 2 times.

The review presents evidence of the participation of low-density lipoproteins (LDL) modified by low molecular weight dicarbonyl compounds formed during freeradical oxidation of lipids (malondialdehyde) and carbohydrates in the development of endothelial dysfunction and atherosclerotic vascular lesions. The authors believe that it is they, and not oxidized (hydroperoxide-containing) LDL, that are the main factors of pathogenesis. The role of dicarbonyl-modified LDL in LOX-1 dependent induction of processes leading to the development of endothelial dysfunction is discussed. The results of studies proving that damage to the glycocalyx (a layer of macromolecules that prevent the development of endothelial dysfunction) covering the luminal surface of the endothelium is caused by hyperproduction of reactive oxygen species. Ways of pharmacological correction of free-radical oxidation processes are discussed, due to which inhibition of atherogenesis and diabetogenesis can be achieved.

The members of the executive bodies of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (District) (YaNAO) organized the interaction on assistance in emergency response between the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation and the Troops of Radiological, Chemical and Biological Protection of the Russian Federation Armed Forces (hereinafter referred to as the troops of RCBP) during the elimination of the epizootic anthrax in this constituent territory of the Russian Federation. The practical implementation of this mission by the troops of RCBP was complicated by the mass mortality of animals on a vast territory, the lack of access roads, the difficulty of delivering specialized equipment, and the impossibility of transporting dead animals, taking into account the requirements of the regulations «Veterinary and Sanitary Rules for Collection, Utilization and Destruction of Biological Waste». Experts of the FSBI «48 Central Research Institute» of the Russian Ministry of Defence proposed a technical solution for the utilization of animal dead bodies by means of incineration using oil products and rubber technical goods with subsequent disinfection as part of the provision of scientific and methodological support for the localization and elimination of the epizootic in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The implementation of this technical solution involves the following measures: a pallet is constructed on the surface in the immediate vicinity of the dead animal, consisting of used tires. Then, in the interior space of the pallet, a «cutting» of used truck tires (hereinafter referred to as «TT») is laid; the animal's corpse is stacked on a pallet, overlaying it on the windward side and on top of the TT; pour oil on pallet and on the corpse of animal and TT; produce arson of petroleum products in compliance with safety requirements. In this way, more than 1.5 thousand corpses of dead deer and 10 dogs were promptly disposed in the territory of 100x110 km. Simultaneously, the need to clarify (supplement) the existing regulatory and methodological framework for ensuring effective disinfection measures and utilization of corpses of dead animals was identified.

Background. Transcranial electrical stimulation is a promising method for correction of malnutrition-induced hyperlipidemia, in the absence of indications for drug hypolipidemic therapy in young and middle-aged patients with low and moderate cardiovascular risk. Objectives — to study the effect of transcranial electrical stimulation on lipid metabolism in a high-fructose/high-fat (HFHF) diet in rats.Methods. An experimental randomized trial was performed to study the effect of transcranial electrical stimulation on lipid metabolism in a high-calorie diet enriched with fructose and saturated animal fat in rats. The experiments involved 180 outbred male rats and were carried out on the basis of the vivarium of Kuban State Medical University. The animals were divided into three groups: group 1 (control group, n = 60) — followed a standard diet; group 2 (comparison group, n = 60) — followed a HFHF diet; group 3 (experimental group, n = 60) — underwent transcranial electrical stimulation against the background of a HFHF diet. According to the target reference point of the study, the groups were divided into three equal subgroups of 20 rats each: subgroup A — day 30, subgroup B — day 60, and subgroup C — day 90 (biomaterial sampling and euthanasia were carried out on those days). In the obtained blood samples, the following lipid metabolism parameters were evaluated: total cholesterol, triglycerides, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and atherogenic index. Statistical analysis was performed using Microsoft Office Excel 2021 (Microsoft, USA), GraphPadPrism 9 (GraphPad Software, USA) and Statistica 13.3 (StatSoft, USA).Results. On the 30th day of the study, it was noted that in group 3, the concentration of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol was 14.9% lower and the atherogenic index was 30.8% lower (p < 0.05) than in group 2, while total cholesterol concentration, triglycerides, and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol had no statistically significant differences (p > 0.05). On the 60th day of the study, in group 3, when compared to group 2, the concentration of total cholesterol was 18.7% lower, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol was 42.9% lower, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol was 16.7% higher, and the atherogenic index was 56.3% lower (p < 0.05), while triglycerides had no statistically significant differences (p > 0.05). On the 90th day of the study, in group 3, when compared to group 2, the concentration of total cholesterol was 29.2% lower, the concentration of triglycerides was 36.0% lower, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol was 42.8% lower, and the atherogenic index was 57.0% lower (p < 0.05), while the concentration of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol had no statistically significant differences (p > 0.05).Conclusion. High-fructose/high-fat diet leads to a progressive increase in the serum concentration of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, total cholesterol, triglycerides, as well as to a moderate decrease in high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and a growth in the atherogenic index. Transcranial electrical stimulation has a moderate lipid-lowering effect, manifested in the form of a decrease in the serum concentration of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, total cholesterol and atherogenic index, while the effect on the concentration of triglycerides and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol is insignificant.

The article is written on the basis of a conversation on the philosophy of music by Professor G.G. Kolomiets, author of the book Value of music: philosophical aspect, with a musician from France, Dmitry Rasul-Kareev, Clarinet solo of Orchestra de la Suisse Romande. The dialogue gives a detailed and simple understanding of the philosophical view of music on the example of the ancient philosopher Pythagoras. His cosmological teaching saw the kinship of music, mathematics and philosophy and stated that the divine perception of the world is contained in the divine Number permeating the entire cosmos and our life. Music is made of numerical proportions and acts as a substance that exists even without a person, yet this unchanging principle of divine harmony, can be felt, experienced and expressed in musical art. Cosmologists believed there is a comprehensive law, according to which objects obey the divine mind, the great Rhythm. Music seemed to be the embodiment of the rhythm of the universe and harmony. The essence of the harmony of the spheres is that the cosmos is a harmoniously arranged and musical-sounding body. The movement of the starry sky creates the music of the cosmic spheres, which is refracted when playing musical instruments, and this lends itself to precise mathematical calculations. The intervals between the cosmic spheres are mathematically correlated with each other like the intervals of tones in music. The Pythagorean understanding of the numerical harmony of the structure of the universe largely determined the path of development of music theory, forming the main musical categories: fret, rhythm, interval, modulation and others. The modern philosophy of music deepens the Pythagorean ideas of harmony of spheres, putting forward the principles of functionality and processivity as properties of music, and allows us to talk about the law of cyclicity on a global scale. For example, following Pythagoras, music outside of the actual musical art is interpreted as a reflection of the vibrations of a complex communicative system: man-society-nature-cosmos.

The ongoing coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic over the past three years has caused close attention to the problem of herd immunity, which is understood as: "resistance to the spread of a contagious disease within a population or herd". Collective immunity is formed both as a result of infection (natural spread of the pathogen in a population of susceptible individuals) and as a result of the use of specific vaccines. During the COVID-19 pandemic, both mechanisms for the formation of collective immunity were realized. In the first wave, there was a natural formation of collective immunity to the virus following recoveries from COVID-19 caused by pandemic spread of SARS-CoV-2. Starting from December 2020, the widespread use of specific vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 began in the USA, Great Britain, China, Russia, and a number of other countries. This launched the process of post-vaccination collective immunity formation; its features have depended on the vaccine types implemented. Currently, in those countries where vaccination and revaccination of recovered patients is widely carried out, immunity is "hybrid" in nature. Several commonalities should be noted in the pandemic experience: a somewhat regular, periodic (wavelike) nature of the COVID-19 epidemic process; changes in pathogen genetics in variants in all countries; and expansive mass vaccination programs in many populations. From these, we can draw some conclusions about the general trend for all countries in the formation of collective immunity during the pandemic: At the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, overall population seroprevalence did not exceed 20%. Other findings were: the highest seroprevalence rates were noted in the children's age group; pronounced regional differences were revealed; and the highest indicators were noted among medical workers. Collective immunity developed as a result of infection or illness, and in the majority of seropositive volunteers, it was represented by antibodies to both antigens. At the height of the pandemic in the summer of 2021, population seroprevalence reached 50%. This was due to both a significant number of convalescents and the start of mass vaccination campaigns. In all countries, specific differences in seroprevalence (by age, region, profession) leveled out, leading to more uniformity. During this period, the formation of "hybrid" immunity is clearly prominent, and the proportion of individuals with antibodies to RBD alone increased (due to vaccination with vector vaccines). Later, mass vaccination, as well as involvement of most of the population in the epidemic process due to the emergence of the highly contagious Omicron strain, raised the level of collective immunity to 80-90%. This led to a sharp decrease in COVID-19 incidence in the second half of 2022 in all countries participating in the study. In the later stages of the pandemic (2022-2023), almost 90% of seropositive volunteers had hybrid immunity, reflected as antibodies to both antigens (Nc, RBD).

On June 14, 2023, could be celebrated the 85-th anniversary of the founder of the journal “Applied Nonlinear Dynamics”, the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, the laureate of the Presidential Prize in Education, the Rector of Saratov University (1994–2003), the head of the department electronics, oscillations and waves (1981–2020) Dmitry Ivanovich Trubetskov. Published reflections of colleagues and friends of D. I. Trubetskov reveal his contribution to the development of science, education and the significance of his multifaceted personality for the history of Saratov University.

Recent finding of the red alga Acrosorium yendoi, new to Kamchatka, during observations in a laboratory marine aquarium, containing sediments and water from the Avacha Gulf (Southeastern Kamchatka), was supported by its discovery in this water area using the method of parallel floristic observations both under laboratory and natural conditions. A. yendoi was previously recorded in more southern areas of the Pacific coast of Russia (Sea of Japan), as well as in Japan, China, and Korea. As a result of our studies, the species is registered in the flora of Eastern Kamchatka, and this significantly expands the understanding of A. yendoi range, shifting it to the north and changing the phytogeographic characteristics of the species.

Literature of the “golden age” of Russian literature, as a rule, was not considered in terms of ornamentality, with the exception of some works by A. S. Pushkin, N. V. Gogol, A. P. Chekhov. The relevance of the article is determined by the fact that “ornamentality” makes it possible to identify the features of poetics throughout the entire career of I. A. Goncharov. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that the author refers to a little-studied problem in pottery - “ornamental prose”, the study of which allows touching on the unidentified issues of rhythm. Some ornamental means mainly on the material of the “small” prose of I. A. Goncharov analyzed in the article. The author of the article concludes that the writer uses various figures of repetition, based on semantic redundancy, and ornamental means, focused on symmetry. The concept of polyrhythm is introduced in relation to the rhythmic structure of works by I. A. Goncharov. Thus, a rhythm is created based on the semantic “braiding”, and the principle of symmetry created by the artistic techniques of “ornamental prose” and “rhythmic prose” is observed. All this makes it possible to structure the text and overcome its formal content entropy, which determines the uniqueness of I. A. Goncharov’s “ornamentality”.

Introduction. Many methods have been proposed for the surgical treatment of varicocele, the most of which is of historical significance. At present, there is no consensus in favor of one or another method of surgical treatment of varicocele, which determines the relevance of further research.Objective. To evaluate the effectiveness of a new minimally invasive method of surgical treatment of varicocele using the author's method.Materials & methods. The study enrolled 763 patients aged 18 – 46 years (mean age 26.3 years) with varicocele who underwent testicular vein subinguinal ligation according to the author's technique. Inclusion criteria: varicocele grades 1 – 3, aged ≥ 18 years, semen abnormalities according to semen analysis and dilated spermatic cord veins according to ultrasound, retrograde blood flow according to Doppler ultrasound. Exclusion criteria: previously operated patients with recurrent varicocele, patients with May-Thurner syndrome and bilateral varicocele. The examination included eight control points: before surgery and 3, 6, 12, 24, 36, 48, and 60 months after surgery. Physical scrotal examination with Valsalva test, semen analysis, and Dopper scrotal ultrasound were performed at the control dates.Results. The average surgery time was 15 min (10 – 30 min). All patients were discharged 1 to 2 days after surgery. At follow-up for 60 months, patients showed improvement in spermatogenesis / or no progression of semen abnormalities during follow-up after surgery based on clinical, laboratory and instrumental studies (semen analysis, ultrasound / Doppler ultrasound); no data on testicular hypotrophy, hydrocele were revealed. A scrotal haematoma was detected in one patient in the early postoperative period. Recurrent varicocele (1.4%) was detected in 11 patients during the follow-up period.Conclusion. The technique is effective, easily reproducible, characterised by a low rate of recurrence and postoperative complications.

The article presents experimental data on the mineral composition of tissues of honey bees under the conditions of magnesium citrate feeding. The research was conducted in two stages on bees of the Carpathian breed. The first stage was carried out on five groups of bees, 196–249 in each, under a laboratory thermostat. Bees of the control (I) group received daily 1 ml of 50 % sugar syrup (SS) and 1 ml of H2O; II group (experimental) – 1 ml of SS with the addition of 1 ml of Mg citrate containing 0.4 mg Mg/l; III group (experimental) – similarly to II with the addition of 1 ml of Mg citrate (2 mg Mg/l); IV group (experimental) – similarly to II with the addition of 1 ml of Mg citrate (3 mg Mg/l); Group V (experimental) is similar to II with the addition of 1 ml of Mg citrate (4 mg Mg/l). The bees of the control and experimental groups were kept in identical conditions of a laboratory thermostat TS-80M-3 with micro ventilation at a relative humidity of 75 % and a temperature of 30.0 °С during 20 days of the research. The following II stages of the study were conducted on four groups of bees, 25–30 in each. Bees of the control (I) group received daily 1 ml of 50 % SS and 1 ml of H2O; II group (experimental) – 1 ml of SS with the addition of 1 ml of Mg citrate containing 0.04 mg Mg/l; III group (experimental) – similarly to II with the addition of 1 ml of Mg citrate (0.02 mg Mg/l); IV group (experimental) – similarly to II with the addition of 1 ml of Mg citrate (0.01 mg Mg/l). Bees of the control and experimental groups were kept in the same conditions of the TS-80M-3 laboratory thermostat as in the I stage. The study duration was 20 days in the I stage and 30 days in the II stage. Bees were selected from all groups to determine the content of microelements in tissue homogenates of their entire body. The results were processed statistically using the Microsoft Excel computer program. According to the study results, the Fe, Zn, Cu, and Mn content in the body tissues of bees differed between groups. Decreased content of Ferrum, Zinc, and Manganese was found in the bees of III and V experimental groups (I stage). According to the results of the II stage of research on the determination of the content of Fe, Zn, Cu, and Mn in the tissues of the entire body of bees, the inhibitory effect of lower doses of Mg citrate on the accumulation of these elements in their body was observed. The established changes in the bee tissues of the experimental groups compared to the control group indicate certain physiological features of the accumulation and distribution of the studied trace elements in the body of the bees during their feeding with nanotechnological magnesium citrate.

Introduction. Insectivores are newly recognized hantaviral reservoir worldwide. Four distinct shrew-borne hantaviruses (family Hantaviridae) have been identified in two regions located in southern and northern part of the Russian Far East, two genetic variants of Seewis virus (SWSV), Lena River virus (LENV), Kenkeme virus (KKMV) and Yakeshi virus (YKSV). Here, we describe geographic distribution of shrew-borne hantaviruses in southern part of the Russian Far East: Jewish Autonomous region, Khabarovsk Krai, Primorsky Krai and Sakhalin region. Materials and methods. Lung samples from shrews of genus Sorex, captured in the four regions of Far Eastern Russia, were examined for hantavirus RNA using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Phylogenetic analysis of the partial nucleotide sequences of viral genome was conducted using MEGA X software. Results. New genetic variant of YKSV was identified in new reservoir host, long-clawed shrew (S. ungiuculatus) from Sakhalin Island. Genetic variant of SWSV, ARTV-Sc, has been found to circulate among S. caecutiens on the seacoast of Khabarovsk and Primorsky Krai. KKMV virus and second genetic variant of SWSV, ARTV-St, were found in S. roboratus and S. tundrensis, respectively from Jewish Autonomous region. Conclusion. Sorex-borne hantaviruses were found in all studied regions of Far Eastern Russia. Our results demonstrated co-evolution of SWSV, KKMV, and YKSV viruses throughout the geographic distribution of its hosts.

Historiography of the famine in Soviet Russia and Ukraine 1921-23. includes a large number of scholar papers covering foreign humanitarian aid to starving population in the context of the work of such large organizations as the American Relief Administration, the Nansen Committee, etc. At the same time, there are practically no articles and thesis which fully describe the assistance to the Soviet starving from individual states and national aid committees. The purpose of this article is to highlight and summarize the main aspects of the activities of the Dutch charitable and public organizations on the territory of Soviet Russia and the Ukrainian SSR during the famine of 1921-23 on the basis of documents from the Russian central and regional archives, as well as the National Archives of Sweden, whose data are first introduced into the scientific circulation. Despite the absence of diplomatic relations between Soviet Russia and the Netherlands, representatives of almost all sectors of Dutch society took part in that activities. The collected data allow us to identify four main channels for the receipt of Dutch humanitarian aid in the areas affected by crop failure:1) Pro-government and public charitable organizations (the Red Cross of the Netherlands, the Dutch branch of the International Union "Save the Children"), which provided aid to the population in Volga region, Crimea and in Ukraine. In addition to sending humanitarian supplies, the Dutch Red Cross equipped its own expedition to Samara province;2) Associations of trade unions of the Second International, which participated in the financing of an independent expedition of the "International Federation of Trade Unions" to the Chuvash Autonomous Region;3) communist trade unions and associations of the Netherlands, acting through the organization "International Workers' Aid", which took part in the restoration of the Soviet national economy, and also maintained numerous orphanages in Soviet Russia;4) Religious societies of Dutch Mennonite Protestants, which sent humanitarian aid to the places of settlement of their co-religionists, where, at the insistence of the Soviet government, they provided aid to all those in need, regardless of religion.All the activities of various Dutch organizations and individual citizens in Soviet Russia and the Ukraine showed the readiness of the population and political forces of the Netherlands to maintain close contacts and interaction between our peoples, regardless of the official relations of states and political differences.

The livestock industry is increasingly taking its place in the economy of the Russian Federation. Its export potential is actively growing. Already, up to 10% of agricultural products are exported to foreign markets. The demand for food steadily increases during crises, which in turn increases the role of the veterinary service, whose tasks include protecting the country’s territory from the introduction of infectious diseases of animals from foreign countries; implementation of measures to prevent and eliminate infectious and other diseases in agricultural, domestic, zoo and other animals, fur-bearing animals, birds, fish and bees, as well as the implementation of plans of the regional veterinary service in the field of animal husbandry. The article assesses the validity of the possibilities and use of modern methods of analyzing and predicting the spread of animal morbidity, identifying cause-and-effect relationships and the extent of the spread of particularly dangerous animal diseases. The authors propose to consider the possibility of using the mathematical method of hierarchy analysis as a scientifically sound decisionmaking support tool when assessing the risk of introducing trans-border infectious animal diseases into previously prosperous territories of the Russian Federation. This approach can be used in the process of choosing the most appropriate alternative from several risk assessment options. The Hierarchy Analysis Method (MAI) is a mathematical tool for a qualitative systematic approach to solving decision-making problems. This method was developed by the American scientist Thomas Lewis Saati in 1970, since then it has been actively developing and widely used in practice. The hierarchy analysis method can be used not only to compare objects, but also to solve more complex management and forecasting tasks.

The article deals with the issue of the relevance of improving the social policy of the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union through the mechanism of “transinstitutional cooperation” (TC) proposed by the authors of the work. It represents interstate integration within the framework of the joint i mprovement of one or more public policy instruments (including social policy). The topic of the welfare state is discussed in the context of studying various areas of the socio-economic life of the EAEU members: the main political and legal document of the country — the Constitution, the national taxation system, quality of life indicators, the level of the shadow economy, the level of social inequality of different segments of the population, etc. The effectiveness of using various social policy instruments of the EAEU countries is compared in order to identify strengths and weaknesses, as well as the potential for their improvement within the framework of “institutional cooperation”.Aim. Taking into account the above, the purpose of the study was to analyze the patterns of development of the social policy of the Russian Federation, the republics of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia, to consider their weaknesses and points of growth in order to identify the potential for strengthening integration ties based on the unification of social development tools.Task. To analyze various areas of social life of the EAEU member countries, identify similarities in development trends in order to create a basis for the formation of unified socio-economic transformations. To demonstrate social tools for the development of “transinstitutional interaction” within the boundaries of the Eurasian Economic Union.Methods. The following methods were used in the article: comparative analysis — to compare the effectiveness of social policy instruments in the EAEU countries, content analysis — when analyzing documents (constitutions) of EAEU members to identify signs that allow identifying the state as a social one, as well as formal-logical analysis — when clarifying the concepts “welfare state” and “institutional cooperation”.Results. Based on the results of the study, the principles of the “welfare state” are considered on the example of the member countries of the Eurasian economic integration, the economic essence of “institutional cooperation” is formulated and proposed for implementation, designed to develop interethnic relations both within the union and beyond. A comprehensive analysis of the instruments of social policy of all participants in the Eurasian integration has been carried out, and recommendations for improving the instruments have been proposed.Conclusion. The accumulating unresolved issues of an internal nature are forcing the leadership of the members of the Eurasian Economic Union to accelerate the processes of building an unconditional policy of the welfare state. The solution of such “social modernization” alone seems difficult to implement, in this regard, it is proposed to take the path of a collective solution of the social issue through a unidirectional, unified social policy built on the basis of “transinstitutional cooperation”. The conducted analysis of social policy instruments lays down the priorities in the development of mechanisms of “transinstitutional cooperation” by the members of the EAEU. The Republics of Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Kazakhstan should focus on developing a unified strategy for youth and migration policies, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus should focus on issues such as population aging, providing older citizens with pension savings, and encouraging the development of family and maternity institutions.

The features of the bismuth oxide deposition by the ion layering method on matrices of anodic alumina and anodic titania have been studied. The formed nanostructured systems have been studied by means of electron micros copy, X-ray microanalysis, and X-ray spectroscopy. Two-layer nanocomposites consist of porous matrix or TiO2 island film with vertically oriented Bi2O3 plates placed on the surface. The photoluminescence spectrum of Al2O3/Bi2O3 oxide structure contains two photoluminescence channels with peaks at 460 and 560 nm upon excitation at 345 nm. Analysis of the EDX spectra showed that the atomic ratio of Bi, Ti and O was 31.46 % Bi : 3.78 % Ti : 51.05 % O. The possibility of using complex nanocomposite as contrast agents in X-ray diagnostics and for protection against ionizing radiation is shown.

The research is devoted to the study on adaptation, verification and implementation of the method for determining sinigrin in mustard seeds and products of its processing, as well as in other types of food raw materials of plant origin. The relevance of the research is determined, on the one hand, by the need to control sinigrin in the technological processes of mustard processing, and, on the other hand, by the lack of effective standardized methods for determining sinigrin in the Russian Federation. The aim of the research is to modify and (or) adapt the most effective methods for the identification and quantification of sinigrin, presented in the publications of foreign researchers. The objectives of the study included construction of calibration graphs; modification of the sample preparation technique to reduce the complexity and duration of the analysis while maintaining the required parameters of accuracy and reproducibility; adaptation of the analysis method using high performance liquid chromatography; verification and approbation of the proposed method using real production samples, i.e. mustard seeds.High performance liquid chromatography has been used as the basic method.As a result of the research, the sample preparation technique has been modified. It has made it possible to reduce labor intensity and reduce the time for its implementation while maintaining the required metrological characteristics. The calibration dependence has been determined and a method for the identification and quantitative analysis of sinigrin in raw materials of plant origin using a high-performance liquid chromatograph equipped with a diode array and mass spectrometric detectors proposed. As a result of verification, the metrological characteristics of the proposed method have been determined: the measurement range is from 0.0005 to 10%, the accuracy index is ± 0.01%. The method has been tested on real objects, mustard seeds, which are the main sources of sinigrin. The proposed method for the identification and quantification of sinigrin can be recommended for use in research and production laboratories equipped with the necessary measuring instruments and testing equipment.

The authors of the article present the idea of an anthroposocioecological approach in philosophical anthropology and philosophy of civilizational processes, working on the approved state budget research topic “Anthroposocioecological configurations of modern philosophy of the XXI century”. Attracting the scientific thought of academician V.S. Stepin, who identified such major global crises of technogenic civilization as ecological and anthropological, problems of “transhumanism”, the concept of “inorganic body of civilization”, universals of civilizational and cultural development, the article reflects modern philosophical knowledge, rethinking the concept of “nature — man — society — individual” from the point of view of the anthroposocioecological approach. The main part of the article formulates the prerequisites and essence of the anthroposocioecological approach in the context of modern challenges and examines the philosophical and ethical component of the anthroposocioecological approach. At the same time, the authors single out the anthroposocioetic component, placing in the center an ethical problem that goes beyond the boundaries of ethics proper as a philosophical science, and which in modern knowledge falls into a broad ideological field and practice-oriented actions. The essence of the anthroposocioecological approach in modern philosophy is characterized by ideological and ethical universals, including universal life values. The relevance of the anthroposocioecological approach is due to the significance of such a supreme macroethical universal as human dignity, starting from the virtue of feeling one’s own subjective psychologically experienced dignity to the conscious recognition of state-national and universal dignity in the new multipolar world order. In the light of the latest innovations in computer technology, the authors pay attention to the problems of power, responsibility and dignity in a multipolar world, which, according to the authors, are associated with an anthroposocioecological philosophical and prognostic approach, given the powerful technological progress and the “clash” of technogenic and traditionalist civilizations. The authors express the hope that an anthroposocioecological philosophical approach based on value universals in the future will take place in the analysis of Russian, Asian and European positive experience in the formation of a new type of intercultural interaction. Among the practical goals of the anthroposocioecological approach, it is important to cooperate at different levels of corporations, global communities based on ideological and ethical universals. At the end of the article, it is argued that the anthroposocioecological approach, due to a new stage of civilizational development, rethinking human dignity in a multipolar world, is an urgent problem in modern philosophical anthropology and philosophy of civilizational processes.

Aim of the study. To evaluate the value of predictors of hemoadsorption clinical efficacy in patients with COVID-19.Materials and methods. This study analyzed the results of treatment of 62 patients with severe COVID-19 in the intensive care unit using selective hemoadsorption of cytokines. All patients with severe COVID-19 were admitted to the intensive care unit within 14 days from the disease onset were subdivided into two groups. Group 1 patients (n=32) received on a top of standard treatment the hemoperfusion (HP) procedure for 4 hours, for 2–3 days in a row, using a cytokine sorption column composed of mesoporous styrene-divinilbenzen copolymer matrix. Group 2 patients were not subjected to extracorporeal blood purification. All patients received IL-6 inhibitors at a baseline in accordance to the temporary guidelines. We evaluated factors of unfavorable outcomes by analyzing changes in biochemical markers of systemic inflammatory response and mortality rates in patients of both groups.Results. Initiation of HP later than 10 days from NCI onset (P < 0.001), length of stay in the ICU, extent of lung damage (P = 0.036) and the SOFA (Sequential Organ Failure Assessment) score (P = 0.009) were the most powerful predictors of unfavorable outcome. Levels of systemic inflammatory response markers (interleukin-6, CRP, D-dimer) in both groups did not significantly affect the survival rates and length of hospital stay (P > 0.05). HP group demonstrated better survival (P < 0.05). Mean hospital stay was 31 and 27 days, ICU stay — 11 and 8 days for Groups 1 and 2, respectively (P < 0.05).Conclusion. Treatment of severe COVID-19 patients with HP using novel domestic hemosorbent composed of styrene-divinilbenzen copolymer matrix resulted in decrease in CRP levels on the first day after application and, with early onset, contributed to a significant increase in survival and decreased hospital and ICU stay. Additional studies are warranted to clarify the optimal timing of the initiation of HP in severe COVID-19 patients.

There are many countries in the world economy now that are trying to adapt informational and communication technologies in various industries to stay competitive and use nowadays’ benefits of the Internet, etc. The article considers the e-commerce in China – global leader in the industry. The content of the Chinese e-commerce development foundation, as well as its characteristic features and trends are described. Moreover, recommendations on e-commerce development are given, in particular, for the Republic of Belarus. The novelty of the research conducted lies in the fact that it is the first in the Belarusian practice, which is based on a large array of factual data, and reflects comprehensive analysis of the current state of the Chinese e-commerce, the prerequisites for its rapid development over the past decade and its prospects in the foreseeable future.

The study of freshly isolated cultures is necessary to form an objective idea of the properties of plague microbe natural populations. The analysis of the levels of investigating the properties of strains has been carried out and the characteristics of Yersinia pestis in Kazakhstan are presented. The results of studying the phenotypic and genetic properties of plague microbe natural strains are provided. Following the epizootiological survey of natural plague foci, the museums of live cultures at plague control stations annually receive strains of plague pathogen, which are transferred to the National Collection of Microorganisms of the National Scientific Center of Particularly Dangerous Infections (NSCPDI). One of the main points of Y. pestis strains analysis is the determination of their typicality/atypicality. The study of strains begins at the moment of their isolation by anti-epidemic units. The primary identification of strains is carried out in laboratories of anti-epidemic units by morphology, sensitivity to plague and pseudotuberculosis bacteriophages, fermentation of glycerol, rhamnose and sucrose. In the laboratories of plague control stations and departments, fermentation of maltose and arabinose, denitrification, amino acid requirements, virulence, sensitivity to antibiotics are additionally investigated. Analysis of strains virulence includes determination of calcium dependence, the presence and amount of F1, pesticinogenicity and sensitivity to pesticin 1 and virulence for white mice. The assessment and preservation of the collected gene pool in the NSCPDI National Collection includes various activities, one of the main ones is an in-depth study of all features using standard microbiological methods, molecular methods for complete identification and creation of a data bank containing information about the genome of strains at different intensity of the epizootic process. The NSCPDI has a digital database on the registration and movement of strains, equipment for molecular research. The collection evaluates properties, systematizes information, and ensures the viability of plague pathogen strains for longterm storage.

The dependence of the incidence of various nosologies on the epidemic situation in neighboring countries has been a feature of the epidemic process in recent years. In this regard, it is of particular importance to carry out joint anti-epidemic and preventive measures in border areas in order to prevent the importation of dangerous infections into the territory of neighboring states. The aim of the work was to analyze the results of international cooperation in the prevention of particularly dangerous infections. Presented are the areas of cooperation and outcomes of joint research activities. Measures for cooperation between the relevant institutions of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Rospotrebnadzor on the operational exchange of information in case of emergencies, joint research work on the monitoring of particularly dangerous and other natural-focal infectious diseases in the border areas, joint seminars, scientific and practical conferences on the introduction of modern methods of laboratory diagnostics into practice, internships on the exchange of experience in epizootiological survey in foci of particularly dangerous infections are described in the paper. Examples of Russian-Kazakh cooperation are provided. The results of a joint epizootiological survey of the territory of the Kazakh part of the Altai Mountains are presented. On a global scale, cases of plague and other particularly dangerous infections in any geographic region can constitute international public health emergencies and this type of threat requires international cooperation.

Inflammatory process is at the heart of artificial (artificial) purulent-inflammatory diseases of soft tissues (APDST), which may lead to the development of phlegmon and abscesses at the site of invasion within a three-day period. The study of the cytokine status of rats with APDST allows us to evaluate the dynamics of inflammation markers and assess the peculiarities of the pathological course in artificial model of inflammation. The experiment was carried out on 126 white Wistar rats divided into 3 groups: (1) the main group (n = 57), where the laboratory model of APDST was used; (2) a comparison group (n = 58), in which the rats were injected with a mixture of opportunistic bacterial strains isolated from pure cultures of human oral fluid, i.e., S. epidermidis, S. mitis, S. salivarius at the titer of 9lg (CFU) per 1 ml injected together with a mixture of 2.5% hydrocortisone acetate emulsion (20 mg per 100 g of animal body weight), and dexamethasone solution at the dose of 0.5 mg; (3) control group (n = 11), where the animals were injected with 0.9% sodium chloride solution in a volume of 0.3 ml, together with a mixture of 2.5% hydrocortisone acetate emulsion at the rate of 20 mg per 100 g of body weight, and dexamethasone solution at the dose of 0.5 mg. Blood cells were studied using the Mindray DC-2800 Vet Auto Hematology Analyzer automated rat blood test system. The dynamics of pro-inflammatory cytokines: tumor necrosis factor (TNF), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6), antiinflammatory cytokines: interleukin-4 (IL-4), interleukin-10 (IL-10) was assessed by enzyme immunoassay. To predict the course of inflammation towards complications, or resolution of the inflammatory process, the ratio of pro-inflammatory to anti-inflammatory cytokines was used, with normal ratio considered an estimated average of the cytokine ratio for the control group. When analyzing results of this experimental study, the nature of cellular inflammatory response was assessed in dynamics, and its relationship with inflammation markers was determined. All animals of the main group developed soft tissue phlegmon within 3 to 7 days from the beginning of the experiment, and their mortality rate was 100%. In comparison group, the abscesses developed in 82.8% of cases on the day 12 to 15 from the start of the experiment, without any deaths observed. The ratio of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines in the main group increased 8-fold already by the end of the 1st day, the comparison group was characterized by the absence of significant differences from the control group. The highest levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines were recorded in the main experimental group on the days 12 to 15.

Background. Brain tumor-related epilepsy (BTRE) is an important and insufficiently studied interdisciplinary problem. In a significant part of brain tumor patients, the disease onsets with epileptic seizures. The course of tumor-associated epilepsy is often pharmacoresistant and requires rational polytherapy. To date, there are no uniform recommendations on the choice of an antiepileptic drug (AED) for the initial therapy of BTRE.Objective: retrospective analysis of the efficacy/tolerability of adjunctive therapy with perampanel in relation to epileptic seizures in patients with epilepsy associated with glial brain tumors and metastases.Material and methods. The analysis included 51 patients with glial tumors and brain metastases who were prescribed perampanel as part of adjunctive therapy. Its effectiveness against focal seizures (FS) and bilateral tonic-clonic seizures (BTCS) was evaluated at follow-up periods of >1≥3≥6 months. A decrease in the frequency of seizures by 50% or more (responders) or by 100% (seizure freedom) was analyzed. An analysis of the influence of intervening factors in a multifactorial model, an assessment of the effectiveness of perampanel as a whole and a stratified assessment of intervening factors were carried out. The frequency and profile of adverse events (AEs) were also evaluated, including their possible association with the use of other AED.Results. In the multifactorial model, independent predictors of the clinical effect were the onset of the disease in the form of FS at >1≥3≥6 months follow-up. None of AEDs used in the first line of therapy demonstrated an impact on the clinical effect. There were no predictors of clinical effect in patients with BTCS during the entire follow-up period. Out of 51 patients, 48 (94.1%) were responders, and in 36 of them (70.6%) the seizure freedom was registered. Among patients with FS, the proportion of responders was 83.3–90.9% at different follow-up periods, including 31.2–50.0% who showed seizure freedom. Among patients with BTCS, 86.7–92.3% became responders, including 56.1–88.5% who achieved seizure freedom. AEs were noted in 7 (13.7%) patients, the most common was aggression – 4 patients (7.8%). There were no cases required reduction the dose or discontinuation the treatment with perampanel due to AEs. In most patients at >1≥3≥6 months follow-up, the median was 6 mg/day.Conclusion. The study performed in real-world practice confirmed the high efficiency and safety of perampanel in the adjunctive therapy of epileptic seizures associated with glial brain tumors and metastases, which together with the low potential of drug interactions allow us recommend the drug to this contingent of patients.

Objective: development of a unified system and classification of indicators for an integral assessment of performance and effectiveness of the organization of medical care (MC) at the regional level in the Russian Federation (RF).Material and methods. A systematic search for domestic and foreign scientific publications and a comprehensive analysis of the current regulatory legal acts in the field of health care for the presence of indicators characterizing the effectiveness of MC organization in the RF regions were performed. The search for indicators of effectiveness was carried out in analytical reports based on the results of field events of national medical research centers (NMRC) in the constituent entities of the RF for 2019, 2020 and 2021 in various profiles of MC. In total, 3019 analytical reports on the results of field events and 97 annual public reports on the results of the NMRC activities were analyzed.Results. Three options for classifying indicators were formed: according to the method of obtaining (primary, calculated, secondary qualitative); in relation to the final result (resulting, process (surrogate)); classification of parameters that determine the MC system, including in the context of profiles, forms, types, conditions of MC (18 positions). The proposed unified system and classification of indicators has a number of advantages compared with the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and Commonwealth Fund indicators adopted in a number of countries. It was established that international systems use mainly resulting indicators, while the domestic health care system uses exclusively process indicators that are not combined into a single system and are monitored by various departments.Conclusion. The presented approach to a unified system and classification of indicators for an integrated assessment of performance and effectiveness of MC organization allows to determine the priorities for the development of a monitoring system. At the same time, it should be noted that this approach requires further discussion and improvement.

The review contains information about the most common pathogens of infective endocarditis (IE) in certain categories of patients. Basing on analysis of current national and foreign sources concerning IE study there are description of conditions favoring to dominance of various microorganisms in intravenous drug users, HIV-infected patients, patients on hemodialysis, with valve prostheses, diabetes mellitus and malignant neoplasm patients, elderly patients, and pregnant women.Distribution of both as typical for IE (staphylococci, streptococci, enterococci) and rare microorganisms as well polymicrobial endocarditis in mentioned above groups is considered. There is discussion about possible reasons of prevalence of methicillin-sensitive or methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus species in different IE patient categories, disease development initiated by rare forms of microbial agents in immunosuppressive patients, microbial flora features depending on terms valvular infection after valve prosthetics. Despite on consideration about predominance of one or another microorganism as an etiologic agent of IE in given clinical situation, during medical help providing it should strive for precise verification of an etiologic factor for choice of effective antibacterial treatment.

Interferon inducers are of interest as the first line of defense against viral infections, including influenza. Double-stranded ribonucleic acid (dsRNA) for intranasal administration has been developed, the excipients and drug components were selected at the Institute of Medical Biotechnology, a branch of the State Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology «Vector». This work presents the results of the study on antiviral activity and pharmacological safety of a new form of dsRNA. The antiviral activity of the preparation was studied in BALB/c mice infected with influenza A/Aichi/2/68 (H3N2) or Bishkek/01/2009 (H1N1pdm09) viruses. A safety study was performed with a single administration of intranasal dsRNA into white outbred ICR mice. The study showed that the administration of therapeutic and prophylactic regimen of intranasal dsRNA at a dose of 2.5 mg/kg increases the survival and average life expectancy of mice infected with the mentioned strains of influenza virus. The protective effect of the preparation in mice infected with a lethal dose of Bishkek/01/2009 virus was comparable to the effect of Tamiflu. The absence of toxic effects of intranasal dsRNA at a pharmacological dose in laboratory mice, the functional state of their physiological systems, as well as main types of metabolism, established in the experiments, lead to a conclusion concerning pharmacological safety of the preparation and the prospects for further work to complete pharmaceutical development of a new antiviral drug.

Alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma is one of the four subtypes of rhabdomyosarcoma identified by the World Health Organization. This type of malignant neoplasms more often affects deep soft tissues of extremities and occurs in young ages, regardless of gender. According to the medical literature, no more than 45 cases of the development of primary cutaneous rhabdomyosarcoma have been reported in the world. In this report, we describe a clinical case of a 40-year-old woman with primary localization of alveolar radbomyosarcoma in the skin of the mammary gland.

The aim of the work is to evaluate the hemostimulating activity of recombinant human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (rhGM-CSF) conjugates with alendronic acid (ALN) in the model of cytostatic myelosuppression and the dynamics of rhGM-CSF accumulation as a part of the conjugate in the bone tissue and bone marrow of mice.Materials and methods. The conjugates obtained by a solid-phase synthesis using 1-ethyl-3-[3-dimethylaminopropyl]carbodiimide or periodate oxidation, were used. A hemostimulating activity was evaluated in a model of a cytostatic myelosuppression induced by the administration of cyclophosphamide to CBA/Calac mice. RhGM-CSF preparations were injected subcutaneously for 4-5 days at the dose of 90 µg/kg. After the injections cycle had been completed, the total leukocyte and segmented neutrophil counts were carried out in the blood samples, and the total karyocyte count was carried out in the bone marrow samples.The tissue distribution of rhGM-CSF preparations was assessed in outbred CD-1 mice after a single intravenous administration at the effective dose. The content of rhGM-CSF in blood, femoral tissue and bone marrow was determined by enzyme immunoassay.Results. RhGM-CSF conjugates with ALN have been shown to retain the ability of the original protein to increase the number of leukocytes, segmented blood neutrophils, and bone marrow karyocytes under the action of conjugates. The stimulation of the neutrophil production used to be observed at earlier times than in the case of rhGM-CSF. The increase in the total number of bone marrow cells after the introduction of all three conjugates was more pronounced compared to the original protein (by 34%). The increased hemostimulatory effect of the AEG conjugate was accompanied by a more intense accumulation of rhGM-CSF in the bone tissue and bone marrow of mice. The rhGM-CSF introduced into the conjugate was detected in the bone tissue for 24 h and it circulated in the bloodstream for a longer time compared to the original protein.Conclusion. The data obtained make it possible to conclude that further work on the development of effective hemostimulating drugs based on rhGM-CSF conjugates with ALN, is promising.

A few decades ago, colorectal cancer (CRC) was diagnosed much less frequently. It is currently the fourth and in some countries the third most lethal cancer in the world, with about one million deaths each year. Most colon tumors develop as a result of a multistep process involving a number of histological, morphological and genetic changes, the frequency of detection of which increases with the age of the patient. Timely screening aimed at identifying and removing precancerous neoplasms in the early stages can lead to a significant reduction in the incidence of CRC. Despite this, the currently diagnosed rate of CRC in everyday clinical practice is relatively low, however, it is predicted that with personalized, based on anamnesis, screening for CRC, the frequency of its detection will increase significantly. The practitioner needs to be aware of the risk factors leading to CRC and the various stages of disease progression in order to recommend appropriate screening strategies. The use of a surveys that includes risk factors in the collection of anamnesis will reduce economic costs and not miss a cohort of patients who need a detailed examination. The purpose of the review is to present current data on the epidemiology of CRC and risk factors contributing to the occurrence of CRC. A literature review of articles (original studies and reviews) published between 2016 and February 2022 on the study of risk factors for CRC was performed. The methods of bibliographic, informational and semantic search of sources in the databases of Google PubMed, Scopus were used. The article discusses in detail the epidemiology and highlights the modified and non-modified risk factors for CRC, including within different age categories. Data on early CRC in young people are presented in detail and carry clinical and molecular features, as well as the role of the hereditary factor in development.

Violations of the heart rhythm is nowadays one of the most current problems in cardiology. Violations of rhythm to a greater or lesser extent affect the hemodynamic condition from lack of circulation 1 degree up to fully stop circulatory system. Arrhythmia, which are described in this article, do not apply to life-threatening alarm condition is present, but can be the causes for study points out, lack of circulation and other pathological condition which treatment may be more difficult and longer than treatment of arrhythmia. Therefore, the timely and proper treatment of cardiac rhythm is the key lack of the patient's heavy and in individual cases, disabling complications. The key to proper treatment in turn is the correct diagnosis. Among survey methods which are necessary for a correct diagnosis one of the first places took a ECG. In this article the changes in morphology P-wave ECG that may contribute to differential diagnosis are evoked.
