The purpose of the study is to assess dynamics of level of common and primary morbidity in class of diseases of ear and mastoid in adult population of the Russian Federation in 2018-2022. The analysis of morbidity indicators was carried out on the basis of data from statistical collections of Minzdrav of Russia and the Federal State Budget Institution "The Central Research Institute for Health Organization and Informatics of Minzdrav of Russia". It is established that in the Russian Federation, level of common and primary morbidity in class of diseases of ear and mastoid in adult population in 2018-2022 was decreasing and reached its lowest values in 2022 (2875.3 and 1760.8 cases per 100,000 of population respectively). The similar trend is observed in all Federal Okrugs of the Russian Federation. The increasing of level of common morbidity is established in 18 Subjects of the Russian Federation, with maximal increase in the Ivanovo Oblast (+17.0%). The increase of level of primary morbidity was noted in 21 Subjects of the Russian Federation, with maximal increase in the Penza Oblast (+35.0%). The most of Subjects of the Russian Federation are characterized by decreasing of both level of common morbidity with maximal decreasing the Republic of Adygei (-48.0%) and primary morbidity of adult population in class of diseases of ear and mastoid with maximal decreasing in the Republic of Tuva (-54.0%). The presented trends of indicators of morbidity in class of diseases of ear and mastoid are results of complex and multi-factorial processes. heir identification will permit to develop measures improving otorhinolaryngological care of population.

The article analyses level and dynamics of morbidity of diseases of ear and mastoid in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) in 2020-2021 and availability of otorhinolaryngological care. The methods of comparative statistics and mathematical analysis were applied to analyze official data provided by the Yakut Republic Medical Information and Analytical Center, the specialized Department of Otorhinolaryngology, the Republic Hospital № 2 - Center for Emergency Medical Care and the Federal State Statistics Service of Russia. The study established increasing trend of increasing morbidity of these diseases in both the adult and child population. In 2021, the growth rate of overall morbidity of adult population reached 17.7% and 8.8% in children, as compared to 2020. The primary morbidity of adults made up to 22.3%, in children - 15.7%. The comparative analysis demonstrated higher rates of general morbidity in the Republic: by 0.5% as compared with the Russian Federation and by 14.1% as compared with the Far Eastern Federal Okrug. The level of primary morbidity was lower than similar indicators of the compared territories by 17.1% and 3.0%, respectively. It is worth noting that analyzed morbidity of diseases of ear and mastoid reflects prevalence of ENT diseases in the region only indirectly, as the statistical data do not allow to estimate separately rate of upper respiratory tract lesions. Meanwhile, respiratory diseases rank first in the structure of population diseases in Yakutia. The growth of disability in children due to diseases of ear and mastoid requires attention. Among children of 0-17 years old, the indicator of primary disability increased from 0.38 to 0.8 per 10,000 of children population (increase of 110.5%); in children 0-3 years old - from 0.9 to 2.3 per 10,000 of the child population (an increase of 155.6%). The analysis of the number of beds in otorhinolaryngology wards established that that the bed capacity per 10,000 population was 0.6 that is significantly lower than the established standards. The article emphasizes need to adjust the Federal standards for hospital bed capacity, taking into account climatic and geographical conditions of the region, which contribute to spread and chronization of ENT diseases.

An analysis of demographic and epidemiologic situation was made in cases of otogenic and rhinosinusogenic intracranial complications on the area of 32 regions of Russian Federation at the period from 2009 to 2014. The state of ENT-service of examined subject is characterized by reduction of provision of during ENT-beds and lower level of hospitalization of population over indicated period. There was revealed a reliable correlated dependence of the main medical statistical indices from the intracranial complications with climatic and demographic factors, the rate of morbidity and activities of ENT-service in the area of this region.

The objective of the present study was to survey epidemiology of oto- and rhinosinusogenic intracranial complications that are currently diagnosed at the territory of the Russian Federation. The work was based on the analysis of the official statistical reports together with the data obtained from the chief specialists responsible for the otorhinolaryngological services in 32 subjects of the Russian Federation during the period from 2009 to 2014. It was shown that the state of the otorhinolaryngological service in the period covered by the study was characterized by the reduction in the number of beds available for the patients presenting with ENT pathology by 14.0% and the lowering of the hospitalization rate for the general population by 6.3%. The frequency of oto- and rhinosinusogenic intracranial complications among the patients hospitalized to occupy the beds intended for the care of the patients suffering from ENT diseases was estimated at 0.03% and intrahospital lethality at 21.2%. The prevalence of pyogenic intracranial complications associated with the inflammatyory pathology affecting ENT was 0.61 per 100.000 population per year, with the mortality rate amounting to 0.17 fatal outcomes per 100.000 population per year. The study revealed significant correlation of the principal medico-statistical characteristics of high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV)---?? between themselves and with the parameters of ENT morbidity and activities of the otorhinolaryngological services at the territory of a given administrative territory. It is concluded that the improvement of the quality of healthcare for the population presenting with intracranial complications and inflammatory ENT diseases is possible only on the baseis of the combined and interdisciplinary approach to the solution of the problem.

It is shown that in military units sociometric status of troops largely determined by the frequency of diseases in the following classes of diseases: mental and behavioral disorders (grade 7), diseases of the eye (grade 7), diseases of the ear and mastoid process (grade 8) and diseases of the digestive system (grade 11). Therefore, prevention efforts on these types of diseases will help to create cohesive military units, but it rebuet presence in the military link of the medical service of specialists.

The objectives of the present work were to study and evaluate the state of the peripheral portion of the acoustic analyzer in premature infants born after multiple pregnancies. The measurements were made by the so-called evoked otoacoustic emission technique. A total of 62 premature infants born after multiple pregnancies were available for the examination. Diagnostics of the hearing function by the method of evoked otoacoustic emission was performed using an ECLIPSE device (Interacoustics, Denmark). Analysis of the results of audiological examination indicates that up to 90.3% and 3.2% of the premature infants aged 6 months showed otoacoustic emission from both ears and from one ear respectively. 6.5% of the children failed otoacoustic emission screening.

The objective of the present study was to estimate the state of ENT organs in the children born after assisted reproductive technologies (ART). A group of 208 children at the age from 1 to 3 years enrolled in the study included 97 ones born following application of the assisted reproductive technologies. It is concluded that the use of the assisted reproductive technologies has no appreciable effect on the extent and the structure of ENT organ morbidity in the children.

The number of children referred to the Chelyabinsk pediatric surdological center in 1998-2001 increased by 1460 (45.74%). This increase occurred primarily because of a rise in the middle ear morbidity. The onset of neurosensory hypoacusis in children became more dependent on abnormalities of pregnancy in their mothers than on pathological delivery. Statistical analysis of the data obtained allows the surdologists to reveal significant causes of the situation and develop priority lines in prophylaxis.

The research results of complex medical examinations among machine-operators (age: 18-60, labor record: 1 to 20 years) are described in the paper for 12 district of the Kurgan Region.

Patients with ENT and CNS inflammation living in the Moscow Region have been examined for pathogenic contamination of relevant clinical samples. The microflora changes were followed up, pathogenic agents of high and moderate priority were identified. It is shown that for Moscow Region, ENT and CNS purulent inflammation is associated primarily with coagulase-negative staphylococci, E. coli, meningococci, S. viridans and yeast fungi.

Incidence rate of otitis media in children under 7 years of age by the number of outpatient consultations in Orenburg, implications of some social factors in this rate and in growing number of cases of chronic otitis media are analysed.

Statistical data are detailed concerning compositional, therapeutic and diagnostic aspects of urgent diseases of the ear (inflammation and traumas of the external ear, acute and aggravated chronic otitis media, acute neurosensory hypoacusis, etc.). 580 patients were urgently hospitalized to ENT clinic (Moscow General Hospital N 1) at the Russian State Medical University in 1995 for urgent diseases of the external, middle and internal ear. This makes up 28% of a total of hospitalized ENT patients. The most effective policy of treatment for each ear disease form is analyzed.

This paper presents the data describing specific features of ENT diseases in the aboriginal population of the North (Yakutians) obtained through mass-scale detailed examinations of the villagers. ENT pathologies were identified in 52.7% of those taken under examination. Among the pathologies ear diseases were in the first place (43.8%), pharyngeal diseases were in the second place (38.2%), nasal and paranasal diseases in the third place (14.2%). It is concluded that the prevalence and structure of ENT diseases among the population of the Far North should be taken into consideration when organizing ENT medical assistance in this area.
