Methodological and theoretical grounding of a brief psychological intervention, new for Ukraine, are presented ‒ of so-called dignity therapy created by a Canadian researcher Harvey M. Chochinov the aim of which is fostering the feeling of the personhood of patients, actualization of their feeling of dignity and, as a result, decreasing of sufferings and increasing the quality of their lives. The scope of requests and conditions where dignity therapy could be helpful is defined, palliative care and psychological support of the elderly in particular. The factor contents of the model of dignity around which the intervention is constructed is revealed: feelings around the illness, behavioural repertoire related to the feeling of dignity, and the social model of dignity. The stages of dignity therapy implementation (preparatory, the stage of interview, and the stage of creating Generativity Document), its eight components (setting, comprehension check, probing questions, exploration of one's life path, refocusing, encouraging for meaningful expressions, general processes of the therapy) as well as questions that a therapist asks a patient in order to start a foreseen process are listed and described. Approximate contents of Generativity Document which is a key material product of dignity therapy on the example of summarized results of thematic analysis in the relevant research from different countries is presented (the developed themes include “Family”, “Pleasure”, “Caring”, “A Sense of Accomplishment” and others). The description of the procedure of estimation of efficacy of dignity therapy is provided, in particular through the use of self-reports and with the inclusion of groups of experts. A brief outline of the demands for therapists who implement the intervention is defined (namely, the standardized training with standardized teaching materials, the work at standardized cases, providing supervisions and additional expert support). The importance of the attitude of a specialist towards realization of dignity therapy is stressed ‒ sensitive, self-aware as well as self-reflective.

The paper deals with the study of the factors related to efficacy of technical professionals. Theoretical analysis brings up job satisfaction and job involvement as such influential determinants. According to the hypothesis of the empirical research, there is a relationship between the efficacy and the job satisfaction. The sample included 40 gas equipment fitters and 4 their direct managers. The hypothesis was verified using Job Satisfaction Survey by R. Spector, Job Involvement Questionnaire by R. N. Kanungo, and the questionnaire for employee efficiency assessment by M. A. Shevchenko. We chose double-assessment of fitters' efficacy when both employees and their managers evaluated how efficient an employee was as this helped to eliminate the factor of subjectiveness. Unfortunately, there is still no assessment form measuring the efficacy of gas equipment fitters objectively. The quasi-experiment was chosen as a research plan. The methods of processing the empirical data included descriptive statistics, ρ-Spearman correlational analysis, and φ* Fischer test. The results showed that efficacy evaluation are related to the level of job satisfaction and job involvement. There are meaningful correlations of efficacy evaluation with salary satisfaction, promotion satisfaction, additional concessions satisfaction, rewards satisfaction, and the character of work satisfaction. There are no correlations of efficacy evaluation with job conditions satisfaction, relations with colleagues satisfaction, and awareness satisfaction. Employees with higher levels of efficacy evaluation are also typical of higher job satisfaction and involvement. The practical application of the research lies in its potential value for personnel managers and HR-departments in selecting employees relevant for such a group of professions as well as motivating those who work for being more satisfied and thus efficient.

By the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the Soviet armed forces were no match in overall power terms to the fully mobilized Wehrmacht, but in terms of the number of major weapons they surpassed it. By the summer of 1941, they totaled 5.7 million people. Ground troops of the Red Army included 303 Division 3 separate rifle and 16 airborne brigades. However, all of them, except the cavalry, were in the process of reorganization and formation and were unprepared to repel aggression. Incompleteness of reforms and a number of other reasons, led from the first days of the war to serious losses in the ranks of the Red Army. To make up for the losses it was required to mobilize significant resources, a substantial part of which has been lost in the abandonment of the western Soviet territories. The situation at the front in the first month of military operations required to supply the army with new compounds. In view of the fact that the mobilization plan did not provide for the formation of new compounds, it had to solve the problem from scratch. In addition to organizing training it had to urgently address the issue of creation of new military units. The task has been assigned primarily to internal military districts, including the Siberian Military District. In general, during the Great Patriotic War in the Siberian Military District 4 tactical formations, 43 infantry and 6 cavalry divisions, 30 infantry, mortar and ski teams were formed. Many of them have distinguished themselves in battle and have been awarded orders and honorary titles Guard names.

Background. The problem of perfectionism is fairly actual in the psychological science as high levels of this characteristic may become the reason of anxiety disorders and even depression. Recent research in the field proves that perfectionism may serve as a factor increasing the risk of suicidal bevavior, there are also data showing it provokes the development of children’s depression. The objective of this study is to find out the role of parental upringing in the development of perfectionism and analyze the relation between particular parental styles and perfectionism as well as the basic features of this relation. Method. The relationship between children perfectionism development and maternal rearing styles was learned with the help of correlation analysis (r-Pearson criterion) and strategy of finding differences (U-Mann-Whitney criterion). The following psycho-diagnostic tools were used: Multidimensional Scale of Perfectionism by P.L. Hewitt & G.L. Flett (adapted by I. Hrachova) and Multidimensional Scale of Perfectionism by R. Frost (adapted by N.G. Haranyan); the Questionnaire “Adolescents about Parents” by L.I. Vasserman, I.A. Gor’kovaya and Y.Y. Romitsyna (the adaptation of ADOR by E. Matejcek & P. Описано результати емпіричного дослідження, за якими визначено, що юнаки із порушеною суверенністю психологічного простору здебільшого обирають заміщення, проекцію та гіперкомпенсацію як засоби психологічного захисту. Також з’ясовано, що юнаки, суверенність речей яких порушували, мають високий рівень егоїзму.

On the basis of the consideration of theoretical sources from the contiguous areas of psychological science some intrapersonal and external factors which could be regarded as auxiliary in the process of personality’s capture of destructive influences of the soviet management system are selected.

The historical perspective deals with the comparative study of social values and cultural dimensions as a direction of social sciences, and demonstrates the results of empirical research on the values of young people in Russia and Europe. In their study, the authors relied on the approach of the Russian-American sociologist P. A. Sorokin in defining the mentality of contemporary youth. In characterising the mentalities, Pitirim Sorokin highlighted the main parameters of mentality diagnosis, which were integrated and adapted by the authors into the research toolkit. The aim of the study was to identify the values of student youth on the basis of a comparativist approach. Based on the results of the study, the authors, continuing Pitirim Sorokin’s theory of the fluctuation of mentalities, characterize the modern mentality of young people according to the criteria highlighted by the classic sociologist. In organizing the study, the authors drew on the findings of past and ontemporary sociologists on the onset of the transition from the dominance of one mentality in Western culture to new models of perception and attitudes in society; this position formed the basis of one of the hypotheses of the study. Based on the results of the processing of the collected data, it was possible to identify the basic components of the values of contemporary European and Russian youth, which include equally material and “spiritual” priorities, whereas separately such values dominate in the vast minority.

The subject of the article is the political values of the youth of Russia and Europe.The purpose of our study is to identify the political values of the Youth of Russia and Europe and conduct a comparative analysis based on the methodology of comparative analysis. Four hypotheses are tested that suggest the values of young people, regardless of the region or country of residence, are common, despite the differences in forms of government, political culture, living standards and traditions of the respondents.The main research tasks were: 1. Identification of common value orientations of modern youth studying at universities. 2. Determination of the type of cultural mentality (according to the methodology of Russian American sociologist Pitirim Sorokin) of the youth of Russia and European countries included in the sample. 3. Determining the place of politics and the opportunity to participate in policymaking in the system of values of today's youth. 4. Identification of attitudes (loyalty / acceptance / non-acceptance) to modern democratic values, as well as identification of the preferred form of political governance among young people. 5. Determination of the desired type of taxation. 6. Establishing the relationship between political values and quality of life. 7. Determining the understanding of the components of happiness (wellbeing) and the meaning of life of modern youth. 8. Diagnosis of the degree of involvement in politics/apathy of today's youth.The main results, scope of application. Study made it possible to introduce into contemporary science a new term "integral model of values" – an interconnected set of several life values of a person, each of which describes individual components of values, to form a complete and comprehensive idea of the value system of certain social groups. Empirical study made it possible to identify the basic components of the integral model of values of modern youth in Russia and Europe in a comparative aspect. Under the integral model of values, authors mean an interconnected set of several private value models of a person (mentality, basic human and social values, life satisfaction and a subjective feeling of happiness, political views and actions, cultural values, etc.), each of which describes individual components of values, and all together they form a complete and comprehensive idea of the value system of certain social groups. In the structure of the integral model of youth values, authors included: mentality, political values, political mobility and a system of universal values. In accordance with this structure, we present the results of our study.Conclusions. Authors not only managed to identify the already established values and, on the basis of them, draw up an integration model of the values of the youth of Russia and Europe through their comparison, but also to determine the needs of today's youth for certain values.

In this article, the authors structure and significantly expand the theory of the typology of creative practices. The authors offer two groups of grounds for constructing a typology of creativity. The first group is socialization. Under the socialization foundations of creativity, the authors understand a set of social factors that contribute to or hinder the process of socialization of an individual as a subject of creative practices. The authors talk about socialization factors that contribute to and hinder the realization of creative potential and, accordingly, introduce new concepts, such as socialization harmonious (laminar, favorable) and socialization conflict (turbulent, unfavorable) creativity. The authors also distinguish the second group of grounds for the typology of creativity, namely, the factors of the social and political environment external to the creative subject. So, two types of realization of creative potential are distinguished, the authors designate them as societally favorable and societally unfavorable. As a result, the authors propose a three-dimensional typology of social trajectories of subjects of creative potential — creative social trajectories. The authors also propose a classification of creative potential according to the parameters of profile — non-core. The profile creative potential of an individual or group social subject is understood as the potential realized in the field of the main profile of his professional activity. Accordingly, non-core potential is realized either in leisure practices or in professional practices that are not related to the main profile of the subject’s professional activity. Based on the criterion of the nature of innovation contained in a creative product, the authors introduce a typological division into conformal and non-conformal/radical creativity. The concept of individual and group creativity is also introduced, the concepts of individual and group creative potential are described as well.

The article is based on the results of a large research project “State and Religion in the North-West: a sociological analysis”, which was conducted by the RANEPA in 2020, and was aimed at developing and implementing an interdisciplinary methodology for analyzing the religious situation in the Northwest Federal District. The article presents the results of a study of the relationship between the state and religious institutions in 5 regions of the Federal District. The article presents theoretical developments in the perspective of modern state-confessional relations, the study of the mediatization of religion, concludes about the multi-tiered structure of modern communication between the state and religious organizations on the Internet, as well as about the significance of the symbol and religious holiday in the public public sphere. The methods of empirical research were content analysis and expert interviews with an emphasis on both different regions and a combination of factors throughout the North-Western Federal District as a whole. The results of the study show that there is a strong interrelationship between social and religious processes in the subjects of the federation. But there are some regional differences, first of all in the role of media in different regions.

In the article, the authors consider the phenomenon of creativity, creativity as a demanded competence in contemporary society. Artists, poets, composers, musicians, carriers of the so-called fine art creativity, have always been in demand. In the “fast” digital world, creativity takes on new characteristics, turns into a mass-market productive force. The public demand for creativity and the supply for this characteristic are undergoing noticeable changes now.Creativity has now become a demanded competence that can bring high income to its owners. The authors analyze the influence of common social institutions of socialization on the development of creativity. The article provides a definition of individual and social creativity, structuring the sociological approaches available in world science to the study of creativity and its nature. The authors introduce a new term — paracreativity and reveal its features.The authors come to the conclusion that society, by creating and maintaining social norms, aimed at developing inner freedom and creativity, contributes to the formation of happier social groups and thus individuals, where each individual has created conditions for the disclosure and realization of his creative potential for the benefit of himself and a large or small society, depending on the scale of the activity. Meanwhile, in the digital world, the creator himself regulates the scale of his activities, using/neglecting social networks.

Purpose is to identify the main trends and gaps in the research of foreign scientists on the topic “Game modeling of political space”.Methods. In this review, the authors used a semi-systematic method of researching the literature, in which at the first stage they used quantitative methods, and then the selected array of publications was investigated by the integrative method, revealing theoretical studies and practical results of the application of game political components.Results. Based on the selected foreign publication stream on the topic “game modeling of political space” by the method of semi-systematic analysis, six main trends in the study and application of game theory and game modeling in political discourse have been identified:considering the value of game modeling through the prism of interaction, not collision of actors;application of game modeling in the development and adoption of political decisions;development of new approaches to the analysis of the very methodology of game modeling in politics;game as a form of effective political communication;study of game theory on the basis of fundamental classical monographs of the mid-20th century as applied to the solution of pressing political problems;application of game modeling in predicting election results, especially in those political systems that are based on the theory of rational choice during voting.A lacuna in the studies of recent decades has identified the issue of using political game modeling in electoral processes. Despite the continuing relevance of the topic of elections around the world, no significant volume of publications was selected.Conclusions. Foreign researchers use the potential of game modeling in politics more often and more multifaceted than in domestic political science. Evolutionary game-theoretic models are used not only to model political and international processes themselves, but also to related social spheres, such as economics, religious and ethnic relations. Game theory is used to study a wide range of social and political problems and social phenomena: voting, fundamentalism, religious and ethnic conflicts, civil violence.

In this article we talk about education as a global phenomenon that includes many actors with their own political interests. In this regard, the question of the anthropological component of modern education, including in the international context, arises extremely sharply: what kind of person is formed by the new global education, to whom it applies, and what values it forms. Main trends in global education policy are defined. The formation of a global educational policy has not yet been completed, and the pandemic of coronavirus infection has brought both positive and negative aspects. We name both of them: the advantages and disadvantages of pandemic situation that shifted the global higher education into the different format. Also, we make the forecast on further higher education development.

Ideas as for the theory of set of both famous Uznadze’s contemporaries and his pupils are analized in the paper. Ivan Pavlov’s views on the set as a link in the chain of a subject’s interaction with the outer world are revealed. S. Rubinstein understood the set as a person’s conscious attitude that is manifested in his/her direction towards active goals, selective motivation, and readiness for action. A. Leontiev suggested the three-link system of analysis, that is objective conditions ‒ set ‒ activity, to be the original methodological principle of the Soviet psychology. Among D. Uznadze’s followers who enriched the theory of set there are A. Bochorishvili who understood a set as an illustration of social and historical origin of consciousness; R. Natadze who investigated the determining function of imagination through a set action in bevavior; I. Bzhalava who elaborated new methodical approaches to learning fixed sets that allowed discovering new phenomena of perception; and A. Prangishvili who developed the grounds of the theory of set in the direction of problems of social psychology and strengthened them in other spheres of psychology. Basic positions of the theory of set are analyzed in accordance with the cognitivist paradigm. Uznadze’s doctrine about the two-level psychic regulation is related to inter-related schemas of cognitive sphere functioning although in the cognitive paradigm the category of personality does not carry any significant meaning

Most of the IT companies all around the world are increasingly turning to the project management structure, in particular, the SCRUM and Agile models, however, there are also those who are keen on a strict hierarchical model and prefer to strengthen the vertical of power, and in some cases tighten control through bureaucratization processes. Business efficiency depends on the specifics of the implementation of each specific model and many additional factors. The empirical part of our research is dedicated to identifying the direct correlation between various aspects of the management structure functioning and thorough assessments of employees’ satisfaction and business success.We think that our work will be useful for any professionals of IT industry: project managers, as well as owners of new companies and developers of start-ups and also managers of more mature businesses which are facing crises of effectiveness or problems with employees satisfaction.

The purpose of this article is to identify and analyze the ideas currently available in world science and practice among foreign researchers on the Social Credit System (SCS). The article analyzes the basic principles of SCS, which allowed us to draw the following conclusions: the social credit system for China is very close to ours mentally and historically, it fits well with the management paradigm based on the principles of Confucianism and Taoism, its main task is to promote the formation of citizens’ behavior based on openness, following rituals.The main conclusions are made, such as the fact that this system allows you to put into practice the principle of the golden mean, that the application of SCS will contribute to the formation of citizens’ behavior on the basis of openness, following rituals and the desire for peace of mind. The formation of the population’s habit of living in the context of SCS, as the authors believe, will help to increase the sincerity of life. An analysis of the materials of foreign researchers was carried out in the article, which gave reason to conclude that the social credit system, launched in China, so far scares the rest of the world. In this regard, the article discusses the five main fears associated with SCS, as well as the five advantages of introducing this system, draws conclusions, and develops recommendations.

The article considers such a social phenomenon as social trust, the degree of knowledge of this phenomenon. The author gives a definition of social trust. Social trust is considered as one of the factors of quality of life. The transformation of social trust from an industrial society to the contemporary stage is being studied, including the stage of the global crisis amid a pandemic. The main trends in changes in social communication during a pandemic are analyzed and a forecast is given for further changes in the principles of building trust. The emphasis is on the fact that after the pandemic social trust will be easier to arise in the virtual space than in the physical. The author names the criteria of social trust. The basic criteria of social trust in modern media communication are considered.

Purpose — The purpose of this paper is a pilot study of e-communications in three Russian firms to assess the culture of conflict resolution and the impact of strategies on employee retention at these firms. Design/methodology/approach — Qualitative and quantitative research through a questionnaire and observation method to confirm the results. We use questionnaires by spontaneous sampling with quota elements; employees of the three selected firms have an equal chance of getting into an anonymous sample. Findings — The culture of conflict in any organization should include professional mediation (fulfilled either by professional instructor or by a specially trained HR-specialist). All members of the organizational “family” should be informed that dealing with conflict and solving it is much better and productive than hiding and suppressing it.Research limitations/implications — The paper shows the first results of the conflict study. It shows obvious drawbacks of contemporary empirical conflict solving. Further research should explore the effects of the recommendations we made and their fulfillment.Originality/value — The article assesses the main conflict triggers in Russian organizations of various sizes. It also reveals the key assumptions that both workers and employers have that prevent them from effectively resolving conflicts. Based on empirical results, we have developed practical recommendations on conflicts that will be useful not only for managing the organizations we have studied but also for those who have ever encountered a conflict at work.

The article examines the actors in the global educational process on the example of the European Union, the UN, the World Bank and the OECD. We consider the tools of their influence on education, work efficiency, areas of responsibility. The article examines political forces (unions, associations) that have a real impact/influence on the processes in global educational policy, thus, are, above all, its active actors, capable, due to their political and/or economic importance, to the situation.

This article analyzes how well organized strategic communication during sport events can prevent and even stop internal and external national conflicts and can strengthen the cohesiveness of society within the country. It analyses the possibilities of strategic communication, stages, or risk, and it examines global sporting events such as FIFA Confederations Cup and FIFA World Cup, regarding their ability to change the image of Russia on the world stage.

Background. Every person within his or her lifetime forms a kind of psychological space which includes one’s body, territory, social relations, habits, belongings, and values. Breaking one’s personal autonomy by others may be viewed aggressively and hostilely. But this is with opposition to the surrounding when one determines and protects the borders of his or her space. The objective of this study is to reveal a possible relation of adolescents’ personal space with the type of coping strategies they choose and intrapersonal conflicts they may experience. Method. The relation between psychological space, coping behavior and intraper-sonal conflicts was assessed by strategy of finding differences between non-equivalent groups (φ*-Fischer coefficient) using the following psycho-diagnostic instruments: «The sovereignty of psychological space» (Nartova-Bochaver, 2004), «The level of interrelation of a value and its accessibility in different life spheres» (Fantalova, 1996), Coping Styles Questionnaire adapted by T.L.
