The aim of this paper is to present a series of discoveries attributed to the Turkic nomadic populations (11th– 12th centuries), resulting from archaeological research conducted in 2018 and 2019 in several burial mounds placed in the localities of Târgșoru Nou and Inotești from Prahova County, as well as Lunca from Buzău county. It includes descriptions of the investigated archaeological features, the results of the anthropological and archaeozoological determinations as well as those of the physico-chemical investigations of some metal artefacts, and absolute chronology dates. Given that artefacts were part of the archaeological features investigated, we briefly present information regarding their analogies and occurrence. These discoveries highlight a time period which is otherwise scarcely known in this region and at the same time add weight to other materials already published during past years

Two thirds of the congenital toxoplasmosis cases describe minimal or inapparent symptoms present at birth, being diagnosed from a psychomotor retard. The forms of chorioretinitis may be described by repeated outbursts in the first years of life. Chorioretinitis or focal necrotizing retinitis usually develops in a bilateral way, being progressive and leading to blindness. Usually there is only one focal inflammatory beginning at the edge of a pigmented scar and the local inflammatory process may extend through successive spikes in other regions of the retina. Active chorioretinitis is expressed clinically by a blurred misty eyesight, with the advent of scotomas, photophobia, and if the macula is involved, the loss of the central eyesight may occur. In this paper I present the patient R.A., 6 years old from Constanta who is hospitalized in the Clinic of Infectious Diseases for investigations and treatment continuity because positive IgG Toxoplasma was previously found. The child has spastic quadriplegia and profound mental retardation.

We have done a retrospective study of juvenile rheumatoid uveitis of hospitalized cases between 1993-2002. 96 juvenile uveitis were available and 18 of this cases were diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid uveitis. Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis associated uveitis is one of the most difficult of the uveitic entities to manage. Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis is the most common rheumatic disease of childhood. The classic presentation is an asymptomatic, bilateral, non-granulomatous iridocyclitis and the latency between onset of arthritis and detection of uveitis is around two years. Arthritis precedes the onset of uveitis, so the ophthalmologist will usually see the patients after the diagnosis has been established by the pediatrician or rheumatologist.

The authors present a case of a 60 years old patient which is under a 6 years treatment already for open angle glaucoma. In addition the patient present pigmentary epithelial iris tumor.

The authors present the association of signs and symptoms in exophthalmos syndrome, which occurs in many diseases. Although exophthalmos was considered to be of ophthalmological interest, according as researches were made on its pathogeny and according as investigation methods were developed, exophthalmos is no more considered a symptom, but a syndrome. After defining the syndrome, the present study shows its classifications, clinical and complementary investigations, and its treatments.
