The Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) infections in swine are an important issue to the swine industry due to cross-reaction in serological exams, with the Classical swine fever virus (CSFV) resulting in false-positives. This paper focused on reporting and comparing antibody titers detected in swine serum samples using the virus neutralization assay (VN). To this, 3,084 swine serum samples of 115 swine herds of eight Brazilian states were tested using the VN with BVDV-1 strain Singer and BVDV-2 VS253. Anti-BVDV antibodies were detected in 133 samples (4.31%), 75 (2.43%) were positive when using the BVDV-1 in the assay and 58 (1.88%) were reagent when using the BVDV-2. At herd level, 44.35% (51/115; CI 95%: 35.27-53.43%) had at least one positive animal regardless the species of the virus. The results show that low antibody titer were significantly more frequent than the high ones. Antigenic diversity among the strains used in the VN and the one circulating in swine, and vaccine contamination with BVDV could be involved in the high frequency of low titers. In conclusion, antibodies anti-BVDV were detected in swine of different Brazilian regions. Animal health authorities should be aware of the risk of false positive results to CSF.

Pacientes com doença cardiovascular e fatores de risco para doença cardiovascular (DCV) têm sido afetados com mais frequência e mais gravemente pelo novo coronavírus. Isso agravou o cenário anterior de subutilização dos programas de reabilitação cardiovascular (RCV) antes da pandemia, exigindo alternativas otimizadas de RCV, como por exemplo aquelas baseadas em aplicativos móveis (mHeath), não apenas por gerar benefícios bem estabelecidos, mas agora também para manter esses pacientes clinicamente estáveis, diminuindo a chance de eventos cardiovasculares e risco de contaminação naqueles não infectados pelo vírus, bem como tratando dos sobreviventes da COVID-19, tendo em vista as disfunções adicionais que tem sido descritas nos sistemas respiratório, cardiovascular e muscular. Serão realizados dois estudos: o estudo 1, qualitativo, de concordância e reprodutibilidade. Criação aplicativo baseado em tecnologia móvel (mHealth), para dar suporte a um programa otimizado (capaz de avaliar após COVID-19) de reabilitação cardiovascular (RCV) em ambiente domiciliar, desenvolvido pela Universidade do Luxemburgo (Centro 4), integrando instrumentos reconhecidos internacionalmente, como o EXPERT Tool, Hasselt University (Centro 3) e PACERProject, University of Miami (Centro 2). O aplicativo será testado e avaliado por profissionais de saúde nos dois centros colaboradores do estudo (Centro 2 e Centro 3) e na instituição executora - Universidade de Brasília (Centro 1).

ResumoObjetivo: comparar a atividade mioelétrica do peitoral maior (PM) e deltoide anterior (DA) durante o exercício pec deck, em contração voluntária máxima isométrica (CVMI), em rotação interna (RI) e externa (RE) de ombro em diferentes posições articulares. Materiais e Métodos: dez homens saudáveis (idade: 30 ± 6,37 anos, massa corporal total: 84,6 ± 9,43 kg, estatura: 178,6 ± 5,60 cm), treinados em força (tempo de prática: 82,8 ± 63,35 meses), realizaram três CVMI’s durante cinco segundos, e intervalo de 15 segundos entre contrações no exercício pec deck tanto em RI, quanto em RE da articulação do ombro. Um intervalo de 10 minutos foi fornecido aos sujeitos entre condições experimentais em três diferentes posições articulares: máxima adução de ombros (0°), adução dos ombros a 45° e 90°. A atividade mioelétrica do PM e DA foi avaliada por meio de eletromiografia superficial. Resultados: não foram verificadas diferenças significantes entre as rotações de ombro para a ativação muscular em nenhuma das posições articulares analisadas para o DA (0°: d=0,89; Δ%=22,46; 45°: d= 0,65; Δ%=17,95 e 90°: d= 1,26; Δ%=21,16) e para o PM (0°: d= 0,18; Δ%=5,42; 45°: d=0,29; Δ%=10,08 e 90°: d=0,41; Δ%=16,24). Testicular neoplasms are more common in dogs than in other species of domestic animals. The Sertoli cell tumor is one of the most frequent testicular neoplasms, arising from specific support cells inside the seminiferous tubules. One of its major characteristics is to be able to present a benign behavior, being one of the most common tumors in non-castrated male old dogs. Generally, it does not course with clinical symptoms, appearing to be the testicular growth the first signal to start suspicions of the affection in most of the time. This work aims to report a case of Sertolioma in a 10-year-old domestic mixed breed dog.

Allergic dermatopathies are pruritic cutaneous diseases often considered as diagnostic challenges due to the clinical similarity among its different types. On histopathological examination, a pattern of perivascular infiltrate composed of mononuclear cells and neutrophils can be identified in the four types of allergies. The marked presence of eosinophils suggests the division of the diseases into groups with small and large numbers of these cells, wich may be clearly evidenced through stains such as Pagoda Red. The objective of this work was to histologically characterize and quantify the eosinophils in skin of animals with allergic dermatitis. Histological slides from cutaneous biopsies of dogs with a suggestive clinical history of allergic dermatitis were selected and subdivided in two experimental groups according to the presence of eosinophils: group 1, animals with suspected canine atopic dermatitis or contact dermatitis (with little or none eosinophils), and group 2, animals suspected of ectoparasites allergy or food allergy. Pagoda Red staining was used in order to quantify eosinophils with a significant value of p≤0.05. The most prevalent epidermal changes in both groups were acanthosis and orthokeratosis. Perivascular infiltrate was composed of neutrophils, plasma cells, monocytes, lymphocytes and eosinophils. Regarding the quantification of eosinophils, there was a significant difference between the groups (p = 0.05). It was concluded that Pagoda Red staining allows quantification of eosinophils for differentiation of subtypes of allergic dermatitis in dogs, and may be used as an alternative easily accessible in the identification of eosinophils in canine allergic dermatitis.

The pododermatitis interacts directly with the animal welfare, it is a disease that alters the behavior, causing serious discomfort to the animals and is also a port for incoming pathogens, being the legs constantly on the chickens litter. We collected data of male and female chicken's feet with 14, 28 and 42 days of age, in four negative pressures poultry (A, B, C and D) with controlled temperature, either of the coolers side and of the exhausters side, totaling 144 birds in hot season in Brazil and 144 birds in cold season in Spain, applying an evaluation of injury scores of 1-4. Males and females showed no significant differences in any country, although the media in Brazil were higher. In Spain the aviary A showed higher scores of injuries and in Brazil there was no significant difference in any aviary. Regarding ages, in animals with 28 and 42 days, the lesions were significantly bigger than 14 days in both countries. The scores on hand showed significant differences only for the media in Brazil, which were higher than that of Spain. Being the area of the coolers more wet, this indicates that it may increase the injury index, with the aggravation of the external temperature and relative humidity of the air higher in Brazil. We conclude that the external ambience influences the internal ambience and added to the management and reuse of the litter may interfere in increasing injury score as the birds gain more weight. Bovine Viral Diarrhea virus (BVDV) can infect pigs and lead to production losses. Data on the epidemiology of this virus in pigs are scarce. In order to obtain occurrence data of this disease, 600 blood serum samples of pigs from five farms in the northeast of the state of São Paulo were collected. Samples were divided into four categories: Weaning (W), Nursery (N), Finishing (F) and Sows (S), and were submitted to Virus neutralization (VN) test for BVDV-1 and BVDV-2. One (1/30) positive sample to BVDV-1 was detected in Property 2, showing 3.33% prevalence in (F) and a herd level prevalence of 0.84%. Regarding BVDV-2, in Property 2, 3.33% (1/30) of samples were seroreagent, obtained in (F) and 6.66% (2/30) in (S), with the herd prevalence of 2.44 %. Properties 3 and 4 presented, 3.33% (1/30) of seroreagent samples in the (S), with 0.84% at herd level, respectively. In Property 5, we found 6.66% (2/30) of seroreagent samples, both in (S), with a final prevalence of 1.66%. No risk factor was significantly associated. Despite the low prevalence, evidence of infection was found in different categories within the farms, showing that inefficiency in biosecurity can lead to infection in swine.

Uterine histological analysis by serial biopsies are an important tool not only for a better understanding and evaluation of physiological events involved in the process of uterine involution, but also for the identification and monitoring of pathological process that may compromise reproductive life. This study describes a temporal histological changes in endometrial tissues from multiparous Nelore cows in Southeast Brazil treated or not treated with Cloprostenol sodium 1 and 4 days postpartum (DPP), to determine if the treatment promotes histological endometrial involution. Cloprostenol sodium was administered on 1 and 4 DPP and endometrial biopsies were collected 1, 7, 14, 28, and 42 DPP using a Yomann´s biopsy instrument. The presence or absence of myometrial and endometrial tissue and its integrity, number of endometrial glands (classification 0 to 3), edema, hemorrhage, vascular congestion and type of epithelial cell was assessed. The average number of leukocytes was recorded. There was observed difference between groups on the number of endometrial glands (P≤ 0.05) at one-time point. In addition, the degree of inflammation was reduced (P≤ 0.05) on time points. Cloprostenol sodium did not alter the histological appearance of uterine tissue during the postpartum period or reduce the period of uterine involution. Additionally, serial biopsies did not affect the fertility of the animals.

The quality of fish is affected by various factors such as, source species, freshness, and storage conditions. In free markets, exposure and handling of fish are intense, and often it is not known the origin and date of capture. The aim this work was study physico-chemical, microbiological and sensory parameters to determine the shelf life of Yellow Hake sold in street markets in the city of Santos-SP. Samples were acquired in street markets from different districts of the city and stored in a domestic refrigerator for 72 hours. And it was found that the Yellow Hake acquired on open street markets in the city of Santos-SP should be for immediate consumption. The changes are noticeable deterioration after 24 hours of storage. The results reinforce the importance of the implementation of quality programs in all sectors of sale to ensure food safety for consumers.

Attacks by venomous snakes are a serious public health problem, accounting for 464 deaths from 2010 to 2013. However, this statistic does not seem to correspond with reality, as some poisonous snakes are not considered poisonous due to anatomic location of their fangs. The genus Philodryas belongs to the family Dipsadidae, comprising over 700 species. Philodryas olfersii, P. patagoniensis and P. nattereri, occur in the Caatinga biome and are characterized by diurnal habits, generalist diet and habitat. Although not considered poisonous, the Duvernoy's gland present in these reptiles produces toxic substances that act similar to B. jararaca and may cause local and systemic effects.

Cryopreservation has not been successfully used to preserve fish embryos, although chilling techniques have been used with good results. The aim of this study was to chill Piaractus brachypomus embryos at different stages of development in some cryoprotectants and for various periods of chilling. Embryos at the following ontogenetic stages were used: blastoderm – 1.2 hours post-fertilization (hpf); epiboly – 5 hpf; blastopore closure – 8 hpf; and appearance of optic vesicle – 13 hpf. One hundred embryos were selected from each of the four stages and chilled in methanol, methylglycol or dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) for 6, 8, 10 or 12 hours, at 2ºC. The total number of treatments was 4 stages x 3 cryoprotectants x 4 periods of chilling. The highest percentage of normal and live larvae (30.6%) was observed when embryos were chilled at 13-hpf in methanol for 6 hours. In general, larvae chilled at a more developed stages (8 and 13 hpf), in methanol and for shorter periods could survive chilling and develop normally, compared to the other treatments. Therefore, P. brachypomus embryos at the optical vesicle appearance stage (13 hpf) should be chilled in a solution containing 17.5% glucose and 10% methanol for up to eight six at 2°C.

This article locates Grotowski in a concrete cultural milieu of Polish Romanticism and of the lifework of the Romantic poet Adam Mickiewicz. The death syndrome of marandu grass (Brachiaria brizantha) is one of the main problems in the degradation of pastures in the Amazon biome. Plant death occurs during the rainy season due to susceptibility to phytopathogens. Thus, the objective was to study production systems and select bacteria antagonistic to Fusarium spp., one of the phytopathogenic agents. Bacterial isolates were obtained from 10 production systems, native forest and fallow, in rain and drought season. Molecular characterization of isolates was carried out by sequencing. Two Fusarium isolates were assessed. For pathogen 1, in the rainy season, 7.5% of the isolates showed antagonism, while in the dry season it was 15%. For pathogen 2, not all isolates positive for pathogen 1 were efficient in the control, showing correlations between bacterial isolates and Fusarium spp. In the rain, for pathogen 1, the forest showed the highest number of positive isolates (20%). In the dry season, the treatments forest, 1-Forest and 8-plant-forest integration for pathogen 1, were ones with the highest number of positives (25%). In the molecular identification, 8 bacterial genera were found: Burkholderia, Bacillus, Brevibacillus, Streptomyces, Pseudomonas, Escherichia, Paenibacillus and Pandoraea, most of which are described as able to controlling Fusarium spp. in vitro. A morte das forrageiras ocorre durante a época chuvosa por suscetibilidade a fitopatógenos. Assim, objetivou-se estudar sistemas de produção e selecionar bactérias antagônicas a Fusarium spp., um dos agentes fitopatogênicos. Os isolados bacterianos foram obtidos de 10 sistemas de produção, mata nativa e pousio, na chuva e na seca. Realizou-se a caracterização molecular de isolados por sequenciamento. Dois isolados de Fusarium foram testados. Para o patógeno 1, na época da chuva, 7,5% dos isolados apresentaram antagonismo enquanto na seca foi 15%. Para o patógeno 2, nem todos os isolados positivos para o patógeno 1 foram eficientes no controle, demonstrando a ocorrência de interações entre isolados bacterianos e Fusarium spp. Na chuva, para o patógeno 1, a mata apresentou maior número de isolados positivos (20%). Na seca, os tratamentos mata, 1-Floresta e 8-integração lavoura floresta para o patógeno 1, foram os que apresentaram maior número de positivos (25%). Na identificação molecular, 8 foram os gêneros bacterianos encontrados: Burkholderia, Bacillus, Brevibacillus, Streptomyces, Pseudomonas, Escherichia, Paenibacillus e Pandoraea, em que a maioria é descrita como capaz de controlar Fusarium spp. in vitro. The aim of this study was to characterize Mycobacterium bovis from cattle and buffalo tissue samples, from two Brazilian states, and to analyse their genetic diversity by spoligotyping. Tissue samples from tuberculosis suspect animals, 57 in Amazonas State (12 cattle and 45 buffaloes) and six from Pará State (5 cattle and one buffalo) from slaughterhouses under State Veterinary Inspection, were isolated in culture medium Stonebrink. The positive cultures were confirmed by PCR and analysed by the spoligotyping technique and the patterns (spoligotypes) were identified and compared at the Mycobacterium bovis Spoligotype Database (http://www.mbovis.org/). There was bacterial growth in 44 (69.8%) of the tissues of the 63 animals, of which PCR for region of differentiation 4 identified 35/44 (79.5%) as Mycobacterium bovis. Six different spoligotypes were identified among the 35 Mycobacterium bovis isolates, of which SB0295, SB1869, SB0121 and SB1800 had already been described in Brazil, and SB0822 and SB1608 had not been described. The most frequent spoligotype in this study (SB0822) had already been described in buffaloes in Colombia, a neighbouring country of Amazonas state. The other identified spoligotypes were also described in other South American countries, such as Argentina and Venezuela, and described in the Brazilian states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso and Goiás, indicating an active movement of Mycobacterium bovis strains within Brazil. BRS Isis? is a new hybrid seedless table grape tolerant to downy mildew with a goodadaptation to the tropical and subtropical climates. Gray mold, caused byBotrytis cinereaPers. ex Fr.is known as the most important postharvest mold in table grapes, causing extensive losses worldwide.As the postharvest behavior of ?BRS Isis? is still unknown, the objective of this work was to evaluatethe postharvest preservation andB. cinereamold control of this new grape cultivar, grown under thedouble-cropping a year system. Grape bunches were purchased from a field of ?BRS Isis? seedlesstable grapes trained on overhead trellises located at Marialva, state of Parana (South Brazil). Grapeswere subjected to the following treatments in a cold room at 1±1◦C: (i) Control; (ii) SO2-generatingpad; (iii) control with bunches inoculated with the pathogen suspension; (iv) SO2-generating pad withbunches inoculated with the pathogen suspension. The completely randomized experimental designwas used with four treatments, each including five replicates. The incidence of gray mold and otherphysicochemical variables, including bunch mass loss, shattered berries, skin color index, solublesolids (SS), titratable acidity (TA), and SS/TA ratio of grapes, were evaluated at 50 days after thebeginning of cold storage and at seven days at room temperature (22±2◦C). The ?BRS Isis? seedlessgrape, packaged with SO2-generating pads and plastic liners, has a high potential to be preservedfor long periods under cold storage, at least for 50 days, keeping very low natural incidence of graymold, mass loss, and shattered berries. Infections by small ruminant lentiviruses (SRLVs) affect goats and sheep causing chronic multisystemic diseases that generate great economic losses. The caprine lentivirus (CLV) and the ovine lentivirus (OLV) present tropism for cells of the monocyte/macrophage lineage, which are directly associated with the main route of transmission through the ingestion of milk and colostrum from infected animals. In this manner, controlling this route is of paramount importance. Currently, researches have investigated the use of chemical additives in milk that can preserve colostrum or milk and inactivate microbiological agents. Among the compounds, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) has been shown to be satisfactory in the chemical inactivation of HIV and CLV in milk, and also as a biocide in goat colostrum. Resumo: As lentiviroses de pequenos ruminantes (LVPRs) são infecções que afetam caprinos e ovinos, causando doenças multissistêmicas crônicas, ocasionando grandes perdas econômicas. Os agentes causadores, lentivírus caprino (LVC) e o lentivírus ovino (LVO), apresentam tropismo por células da linhagem monocítico-fagocitária, as quais estão diretamente associadas à principal via de transmissão, por meio da ingestão de leite e colostro provindos de animais infectados. Desse modo, o controle por esta via é de suma importância. Atualmente, pesquisas vêm sendo desenvolvidas para o uso de aditivos químicos no leite, que possam conservar o colostro ou leite, e inativar agentes microbiológicos presentes. Dentre estes, o dodecil sulfato de sódio (SDS) vem apresentando resultados satisfatórios na inativação química do HIV e LVC em leite, e ainda como biocida em colostro caprino. The ocelot Leopardus pardalis (Linnaeus, 1758) is a nocturnal opportunistic felid that has a wide geographic distribution in almost every American continent. Although this species is classified as Least Concern, its populations have been declining as a direct consequence of the destruction of their habitats. Information on the density, occupancy and factors influencing habitat use of ocelots is of great importance for the establishment of action plans aimed for conservation. We studied ocelots in a protected area of the Atlantic Forest, Vale Natural Reserve, state of Espírito Santo, Brazil. We estimated density, characterized activity patterns, and evaluated how habitat use was influenced by six covariates. Estimated density (MeanSE; 45.845.45 ocelots per 100 km2) was higher than other areas studied within the Atlantic Forest. Ocelots were more active during twilight and night than other times of day (between 1330 and 2030 h and 2330 and 0400 h). The probability of occupancy was influenced by distance to the closest water resources (negatively), canopy cover, distance to the edge and number of prey (all three positively influenced), and the detectability was negatively influenced by distance from a water resource. Our data reinforce the importance of VNR as an important reservoir of the species. Therefore, the results presented herein can be a starting point to support future action plans for the species, making predictions regarding the ecosystem and management and conservation of the ocelot by using tools such as Population Viability Analysis. Furthermore, the results can be used as a surrogate for other regions in which the species occurs, because many locations may be affected by the same covariates used herein. International audience; This article aims to broaden the debate about pedagogical residency in Brazil by making a comparison with what occurs in France, emphasisingthe initial educationof mathematics teachers. France is undergoing changes in its national education system, one of the goals of which is to improve mathematics performance, which has been declining for the past 30 years. In the framework of a great plan that is beginning to be implemented in French national education, we have the investment in the conditions of the teaching performance as one of the strong points of the reform, which brings as one of the measures a pre-professionalization proposal. We try to compare that proposalwith the pedagogical residency in Brazil, without ignoringthe historical and cultural differences. To do so, we conducted an exploratoryresearch based on current official documents available from the Brazilian and French governments about the proposals that have been occurring in mathematics teaching. This research was done as part of a post-doctoral studyin France. Among the results observed in France, we consider that an extension of the duration of the pedagogical residency in Brazil initially proposed by CAPES would be pertinent, as well as an increase in the value of the grants, toappreciate initial teacher education. We also believe that it is necessary to have a national project to value the teaching career in Brazil with more investments in education.; Este artículo pretende ampliar el debate sobre la residencia pedagógica en Brasil en comparación con Francia, con énfasis en la formación inicial del(la)profesor(a)de matemáticas. Francia está experimentando cambios en su sistema educativo nacional. Uno de sus objetivos es mejorar el resultado discente en matemáticas, que ha disminuido en los últimos 30 años. En el marco de un gran plan que comienza a implementarse en la educación nacional francesa, tenemos la inversión en las condiciones del desempeño docente como uno de los puntos fuertes de la reforma, que trae como una de las medidas una propuesta de pre-profesionalización en Francia. Intentamos comparar esa propuesta con la residencia pedagógica en Brasil, sin olvidar las diferencias históricas y culturales. Para ello, realizamos una investigación exploratoria a partir de una base de datos documentales oficiales vigentes disponibles de los gobiernos brasileño y francés sobre las propuestas que se vienen dando en la enseñanza de las matemáticas. Esta investigación tuvo lugar en el marco de una investigación posdoctoral en Francia. Entre los resultados observados en Francia, consideramos que sería pertinente prolongar la duración de la residencia pedagógica en Brasil inicialmente propuesta por la CAPES, así como aumentar el valor de las becas, para valorizar la formación inicial de los docentes. También creemos que es necesario un proyecto nacional para valorar la carrera docente en Brasil con más inversiones en educación.; Cet article vise à élargir le débat sur la Résidence Pédagogique au Brésil en faisant une comparaison avec ce qui se passe en France, en mettant l'accent sur la formation initiale du professeur de Mathématiques. La France connaît des mutations au sein du système de l'Éducation nationale qui ont pour objectif d'améliorer les performances en mathématiques, en baisse depuis 30 ans. Dans le cadre d'un grand plan qui commence à être mis en œuvre dans l'Éducation nationale de France, nous avons relevé l'investissement dans les conditions d’exercice du métier d’enseignant comme l’un des points forts de la réforme, qui introduit dans les mesures proposées celle de la préprofessionnalisation. Nous avons essayé de comparer la proposition de préprofessionnalisation en France avec le dispositif de Résidence Pédagogique au Brésil, en gardant à l’esprit les différences historico-culturelles. Pour ce faire, nous avons conduit une recherche d’orientation méthodologique exploratoire en nous basant sur une base de données construite à partir des documents officiels actuels des gouvernements brésilien et français qui nous étaient accessibles portant sur les propositions en cours dans l’enseignement des mathématiques. Cette recherche a été conduite dans le contexte d’un stage postdoctoral en France. A partir de résultats observés en France,nous considérons qu’il serait pertinent d’allonger la durée de la Résidence Pédagogique au Brésil initialement proposée par le CAPES, ainsi que l’augmentation du montant des bourses d’étude, afin de générer une valorisation de la formation initiale des enseignants. Nous pensons aussi qu'un projet national pour valoriser la carrière des enseignants au Brésil est également nécessaire, avec un investissement accru dans le domaine de l'éducation.; Este artigo tem como objetivo ampliar o debate sobre a residência pedagógica no Brasil fazendo um comparativo com o que ocorre na França, com ênfase na formação inicial de professores(as)de matemática. A França está passando por mudanças na educação nacional. Um dos objetivos é melhorar o desempenho discente em matemática que vem caindo nos últimos 30 anos. No quadro de um grande plano que começa a ser implementado na educação nacional da França,temos o investimento nas condições da atuação docente como um dos pontos fortes da reforma, que traz como uma das medidas uma proposta de pré-profissionalização. Procuramos comparar essa proposta com a residência pedagógica no Brasil, sem esquecer as diferenças histórico-culturais. Para tanto, realizamos uma pesquisa exploratória baseada em dados documentais oficiais atuais disponíveis dos governos brasileiro e francês sobre as propostas que vêm ocorrendo no ensino de matemática. Essa pesquisa deriva de um estudo de pós-doutorado na França. Entre os resultados observados na França, consideramos que seria pertinente a ampliação do tempo da residência pedagógica no Brasil proposto inicialmente pela CAPES, bem como aumento do valor das bolsas, de forma a valorizar a formação inicial docente. International audience; Neste artigo, buscamos refletir sobre as contribuições de Paulo Freire (1921-1997) para a educomunicação, enquanto campo de reflexão e de intervenção para a conscientização e libertação dos indivíduos, e seus desdobramentos em um projeto de extensão, vinculado a uma rede associacionista, a Rede Coque Vive. Enfatizamos nesse estudo uma perspectiva de educomunicação que valoriza a ação do sujeito para decodificar a sua realidade na criação de um espaço legítimo de diálogo social e de emancipação. Desse modo, verifica-se a importância de constantemente revisitarmos o pensamento freireano para compreendermos a educomunicação como um processo de emancipação humana e de transformação social, em um movimento de resistência ao modelo estabelecido, para fazer emergir novas possibilidades de educação, de comunicação e de estar no mundo.

This work analyzed females from six colonies of the social wasp Leipomeles. dorsata (Fabricius) in which queens (egglayers) and workers showed differences in ovarian development and coloration. We propose that wasps with developed ovaries (egglayers) and coloration similar to those of workers are possibly intermediates that obtained the status of queens in the colony. Understanding global biodiversity change, its drivers, and the ecosystem consequences requires a better appreciation of both the factors that shape soil macrofauna communities and the ecosystem effects of these organisms. The project ?sOilFauna? was funded by the synthesis center sDiv (Germany) to address this major gap by forming a community of soil ecologists, identifying the most pressing research questions and hypotheses, as well as conducting a series of workshops to foster the global synthesis and hypothesis testing of soil macrofauna. The overarching goal is to analyze the most comprehensive soil macrofauna database - the MACROFAUNA database - which collates abundance data of 17 soil invertebrate groups assessed with a standardized method at 7180 sites around the world, and seeks to foster the collection of future data. In a recent kick-off workshop in May 2022, the first research priorities and collaboration guidelines were determined. Here, we summarize the main outcomes of this workshop and highlight the benefits of creating an open global community of soil ecologists providing standardized soil macrofauna data for future research, evaluation of ecosystem health, and nature protection. International audience; O processo rápido e às vezes desordenado de expansão urbana tem aproximado fisicamente indústrias e população aumentando a probabilidade de exposição das pessoas a grandes acidentes tecnológicos. Alguns acontecimentos testemunham como as catástrofes que ocorreram em Seveso na Itália (1976), em Bhopal na Índia (1984), Vila Socó em Cubatão (1984) e, mais recentemente, em Alemoa, Santos (2015) e Beirute no Líbano (2020). Tal contexto mostra a necessidade de procedimentos que contemplem a definição de estratégias de intervenção, de gestão da informação e de mobilização da população nessas situações. Apresentaremos a norma em construção, concebida pela CETESB-Companhia Ambiental do Estado de São Paulo-órgão governamental paulista, destinada a orientar os empreendimentos na elaboração do "Plano de Preparação das Comunidades Expostas a Risco Tecnológico (PPC)" a fim de preparar a comunidade local para situações de acidente tecnológico grave e, em particular, treiná-la uma resposta adequada da população, de forma rápida, calma e ordeira. Volume and biomass equations are essential tools to determine forest productivity and enable forest managers to make informed ecisions. However, volume and biomass estimation equations are scarce for Afromontane forests in Africa in general and Ethiopia in particular. This limits our knowledge of the standing volume of wood, biomass, and carbon stock of the forests there in. In this study, we developed a new mixed-species volume and biomass equations for Afromontane forests and compared them with generic pantropical and local models. A total of 193 sampled trees from seven dominant tree species were used to develop the equations. Various volume and biomass equations were fitted using robust linear and nonlinear regression. Model comparison indicated that the best model to estimate stem volume was ln (v) = -9.909 + 0.954 * ln (d2h), whereas the best model to estimate biomass was ln (b) = -2.983 + 0.949 *ln (pd2h). These equations explained over 85% of the variations in the stem volume and biomass measurements. The mean density and basal area of trees in the forest with d >/= 2 cm was 631.5 stems-ha -1 and 24.4 m 2 ha -1. Based on the newly developed equations, the forest has on average 303.0 m3 ha -1 standing volume of wood and 283.8 Mg.ha -1 biomass stock. The newly developed allometric equations derived from this study can be used to accurately determine the stem volume, biomass, and carbon storage in the Afromontane forests in Ethiopia and elsewhere with similar stand characteristics and ecological conditions. By contrast, the generic pan-tropical and other local models appear to provide biased estimates and are not suitable for dry Afromontane forests in Ethiopia. The estimated stem biomass and carbon stock in the Chilimo forest are comparable with the estimates from various tropical forests and woodlands elsewhere in Africa, indicating the importance of dry Afromontane forest for climate change mitigation. International audience; No Brasil, a diversidade cultural se revela nas regiões, línguas, artes, religiões e tais perspectivas reforçam as diferenças e consequentemente as identidades. Qual é a relação da formação do professor e a prática educacional intercultural? No Instituto Federal do Sertão Pernambucano onde a comunidade estudantil é formada por indígenas, quilombolas, sertanejos e estudantes urbanos objetivamos compreender sobre a aplicação da educação multicultural (ACIOLY-RÉGNER, 2010) e se existe diferenças entre professores licenciados e bacharéis. Aplicamos um questionário semiestruturado aos docentes atuantes no Ensino Médio Integrado ao Técnico em Agropecuária para compreendermos o que conhecem sobre essa abordagem e como a educação multicultural se revela na prática didático-pedagógica. Foi feita análise temática (CAULFIELD, 2019) com base em Tomaz Tadeu Silva (2014) sobre identidade e diferença, Candau e Moreira (2008) sobre multiculturalismo e Maurice Tardif (2000) sobre formação de professores. Utilizamos como suporte analítico a Análise Estatística Implicativa através do Software CHIC v. 7.0 (2014) caracterizando o estudo como qualiquantitativo. Percebemos que diferenças entre professores licenciados e bacharéis e que os licenciados são mais sensíveis ao tema reforçando a importância da formação inicial. As práticas pedagógicas multiculturais são individuais revelando a ausência de uma política escolar integrada em prol da sua comunidade multicultural.

International audience; O presente trabalho constitui parte de uma investigação no campo inter/multicultural que objetivou analisar as ressonâncias da afetividade sobre os processos de vincularidade no ambiente escolar. Quais implicações afetivas podem favorecer o processo de ensino-aprendizagem em classes multiculturais? As relações que os alunos de matrizes culturais diversas estabelecem entre as disciplinas escolares e os professores possuem componentes inerentes à afetividade? A pesquisa foi realizada com 14 estudantes do Ensino Médio Integrado ao Curso Técnico em Agropecuária, do Instituto Federal do sertão Pernambucano em Salgueiro, com representantes dos povos indígenas, quilombolas, sertanejos e urbanos. Para construção dos dados, em decorrência da pandemia de covid-19, foram realizadas entrevistas por videoconferência com os alunos via Google Meet, com o emprego da Investigação Informativa da Tríade Intercultural de Abrams, Kidman e Yen (2013). A pesquisa de campo de natureza qualiquantitativa se ocupou de analisar os dados conforme a base teórica sobre Multiculturalismo de Candau e Moreira (2008), da afetividade de Wallon (1968) e Vygotsky (2004). A análise quantitativa foi feita através da Análise Estatística Implicativa através do software CHIC v. 7.0 (2014). Ao final do estudo as implicações afetivas originadas nas vivências familiares repercutiram sobre o desempenho, com sinais evidentes para os alunos cotistas.

International audience; Dispositivos coletores de energia têm sido bastante explorados nas últimas décadas pela capacidade de gerar energia limpa. Este aparelho converte fontes de energia dispersas do meio ambiente (por exemplo, vibração, vento, luz solar, etc.) em energia elétrica. Ao utilizar a vibração como fonte de energia, apresenta um ponto positivo devido à presença em diversos locais, como na movimentação do corpo humano, aeronaves, edifícios, etc. Pode ser uma alternativa ao uso de baterias para dispositivos elétricos de baixo consumo energético, como sensores elétricos, monitoramento de estruturas e marcapasso. Assimetrias ainda não foram bastante exploradas na literatura. A presença da assimetria resultou em efeito negativo na potência de saída no modelo proposto por Wang et al. Em 2021, Norenberg et al. analisaram a influência de quais parâmetros mais afetaram no processo de colheita de energia do modelo (a)ssimétrico por meio do índice Sobol. O presente trabalho objetiva entender a influência da assimetria no dispositivo por meio das bacias de atração e teste 0-1 para caos para uma determinada faixa de frequência de forçamento baseado no modelo físico proposto por Wang et al..

This work aims to investigate the influences of students’ culture on school performance under a mixed quantitative analytical methodology, consisting of analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Statistical Implicative Analysis (SIA). The study was carried out through the statistical analysis of data from the school record of the grades of urban, rural, indigenous and quilombola students from High School Integrated to the Agricultural Technician from 2011 to 2018 at the Federal Institute of Sertão Pernambucano in the city of Salgueiro-PE, Brazil. The results revealed that there is an influence of culture on the students’ academic performance, where the quilombolas make up the profile linked with the concept D income and consequently with school dropout. As for ANOVA and SIA, they are instruments that can complement each other, enriching data analysis, precisely because they are different. We consider that the use of SIA in research in the social area, specifically in education, can favor studies by enabling the understanding of the research object as a behavioral phenomenon, not static, which is subject to changes according to the influences of the various variables that make up the complex reality., Ce travail vise à étudier les influences de la culture des élèves sur les performances scolaires dans le cadre d’une méthodologie analytique quantitative mixte, composée d’une analyse de variance (ANOVA) et d’une analyse statistique implicative (ASI). L’étude a été réalisée à travers l’analyse statistique des données du dossier scolaire des notes des élèves urbains, ruraux, indigènes et quilombola du Lycée Intégré au Technicien Agricole de 2011 à 2018 à l’Institut Fédéral du Sertão Pernambucano dans la ville de Salgueiro-PE, Brésil. Les résultats ont révélé qu’il existe une influence de la culture sur le rendement scolaire des élèves, où les quilombolas constituent le profil lié au concept D de revenu et, par conséquent, au décrochage scolaire. Quant à l’ANOVA et à l’ASI, ce sont des instruments qui peuvent se compléter, enrichir l’analyse des données, précisément parce qu’ils sont différents. Nous considérons que l’utilisation de l’ASI dans la recherche dans le domaine social, notamment dans l’éducation, peut favoriser les études en permettant la compréhension de l’objet de recherche comme un phénomène comportemental, non statique, qui est sujet à des changements selon les influences des différentes variables qui composent la réalité complexe., Este trabalho objetiva investigar as influências da cultura dos estudantes no desempenho escolar sob uma metodologia analítica quantitativa mista, composta pela análise de variância (ANOVA) e a análise estatística implicativa (ASI). O estudo se deu pela análise estatística de dados do registro escolar das notas de estudantes urbanos, sertanejos, indígenas e quilombolas do Ensino Médio Integrado ao Técnico em Agropecuária, desde o ano de 2011 até 2018 no Instituto Federal do Sertão Pernambucano na cidade de Salgueiro-PE, Brasil. Os resultados revelaram que há influência da cultura no rendimento escolar dos estudantes, onde os quilombolas compõem o perfil vinculado com os rendimentos de conceito D e consequentemente com a evasão escolar. Quanto a ANOVA e a ASI são instrumentos que podem se complementar enriquecendo a análise dos dados, justamente por serem diferentes. Consideramos que a utilização da ASI em pesquisas na área social, especificamente educacional, pode favorecer os estudos por possibilitar a compreensão do objeto de pesquisa como um fenômeno comportamental, não estático, que está sujeito às mudanças conforme as influências das diversas variáveis que compõem a realidade complexa.

Several authors, such as Goleman (2011), Bisqueira (2000), Casassus (2009) and Gonsalves (2015) have highlighted the role of socio-emotional skills and their importance in the development of different skills. The importance of these skills has been guiding guidelines and research in the field of Education. In this article, we present the results of a research on the trends in social-emotional education signaled in the works of the CONEDU event in the time frame from 2014 to 2020. The methodology was based on bibliographical research with a focus on works involving the theme of social-emotional education. The data obtained were analyzed using the Statistical Implicative Analysis approach – S.I.A. using CHIC 7.0 software. These analyzes were modeled with this software and articulated to the interpretative hermeneutics of the researched subjects that lead us to an understanding of the theoretical production of the phenomenon under study, based on the quasi-implication relationships between the variables in the perspective of understanding trends, gaps and biases on the topic covered., Plusieurs auteurs, tels que Goleman (2011), Bisqueira (2000), Casassus (2009) et Gonsalves (2015) ont mis en évidence le rôle des compétences socio-émotionnelles et leur importance dans le développement de différentes compétences. L'importance de ces compétences a guidé les lignes directrices et la recherche dans le domaine de l'éducation. Dans cet article, nous présentons le résultat d'une enquête sur les tendances de l'éducation socio-émotionnelle signalées dans les travaux de l'événement CONEDU sur la période 2014-2020. La méthodologie était basée sur une recherche bibliographique en mettant l'accent sur les travaux impliquant le thème de l'éducation socio-émotionnelle. Les données obtenues ont été analysées selon l'approche d'Analyse Implicative Statistique – A.S.I. en utilisant le logiciel CHIC 7.0. Ces analyses ont été modélisées avec ce logiciel et articulées à l'herméneutique interprétative des sujets de recherche qui nous conduisent à une compréhension de la production théorique du phénomène étudié, basée sur les relations de quasi-implication entre les variables dans la perspective de compréhension des tendances, lacunes et biais sur le sujet traité., Diversos autores, a exemplo de Goleman (2011), Bisqueira (2000), Casassus (2009) e Gonsalves (2015) têm destacado o papel das competências socioemocionais e a sua importância no desenvolvimento de diferentes habilidades. A importância dessas habilidades vem norteando orientações e pesquisas na área de Educação. Neste artigo, apresentamos o resultado de uma pesquisa sobre as tendências da educação socioemocional sinalizadas nos trabalhos do evento CONEDU no recorte temporal de 2014 a 2020. A metodologia foi baseada em pesquisas bibliográficas com recorte para os trabalhos que envolvem a temática da educação socioemocional. Os dados obtidos foram analisados utilizando a abordagem da Análise Estatística Implicativa – A.S.I. utilizando o software CHIC 7.0. Essas análises foram modelizadas com esse software e articuladas à hermenêutica interpretativa dos sujeitos pesquisados que nos levam à compreensão da produção teórica do fenômeno em estudo, tendo como base as relações de quase-implicação entre as variáveis na perspectiva de entender as tendências, lacunas e vieses sobre o tema abordado
