This research aims to investigate which are the information and communication technologies (ICTs) that are being used by the teachers in the accounting courses of Brazilian federal universities. For data collection, a survey was applied to 112 teachers, who were analyzed using descriptive statistics. As a result, the most frequently used hardware was found to be computers and tablets; and among the softwares are listed the most basic as PowerPoint, excel and word. Other types of software used include virtual learning environments (VLE), Edmodo, Paint brush, and others. In addition, it was found that the main problems encountered in not using ICTs are the lack of maintenance of equipment that does not support the programs, that do not work, lack of proper cabling, problems with the Internet, etc. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
