This article presents doctoral research in sociology on the recognition of unfitness for work due to health reasons in France’s local civil service sector. It takes as its case study the Paris City Hall, which recognizes more than 500 workers as unfit for work each year, and directs them towards professional reclassification or retirement for disability. The research is based on a three-year ethnographic survey combining observations of work situations and expertise, interviews with various professionals and workers recognized as unfit for their functions, qualitative analyses of medico-administrative files and statistical processing of databases. The analysis aims to understand the institutional logics (legal, financial and managerial) that underlie the unfitness system, as well as what constructs the judgements of unfitness in actual situations. In particular, the thesis explores various scenarios where expertise played out, characterized by dissymmetrical power relations between doctors and workers and by dealing with information which is a source of misunderstanding and uncertainty. It also brings to light the (re)production of social and gendered inequalities in terms of recognition and taking care of occupational health problems, potentially caused by occupational reasons often ignored. The objective is to analyze the export performance of the national soy complex in the face of its competition in the foreign market, covering the period from 2000 to 2019. The data were collected on the Comex Stat portal, of the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secretaria de Comércio Exterior [Secex]) of the Ministry of Development Industry and Commerce (MDIC), free on board (FOB) data in dollars; the Institute for Applied Economic Research (Instituto de Pesquisa Econômica Aplicada [Ipea]) and the United Nations Commodity Trade Statistics Database (UN Comtrade). To this end, the construction of international trade indicators was used. The results show that Brazil has a symmetric and Vollrath revealed comparative advantage and revealed competitiveness for all items inherent to the soy complex in the entire period studied. With regard to the exporting effort, it was found that the soy complex's exports are concentrated in the commercialization of the soybean. Regarding the regional orientation, it was found that soybean grain exports are oriented to China and Spain, soybean oil to India, and soybean meal to France and Netherlands. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Bolsa Família Program guarantees the direct transfer of income to families in high socioeconomic vulnerability, linking the need to comply with health and education conditionalities. The objective of this study was to analyze the nutritional status and dietary intake profile of children under 7 years of age, who benefit PBF from the Macedo health unit at Venâncio Aires city-RS. This is a crosssectional, descriptive and quantitative study that used secondary data from the Sistema de Vigilância Alimentar e Nutricional (SISVAN). The first record of anthropometric and food consumption data was included, from March 2018 to March 2019. The data were tabulated in spreadsheets, using Microsoft Excel for Windows version 2016 and then transferred to a database in the Statistical Packag for the Social Sciences program version 20.0. Of the 49 children, 51,0% (n=25) were eutrophic, 24,5% (n=12) risk of overweight, 16,3% (n=8) overweight and 8,2% (n=4) obesity. Most children under 2 years old ate fruits/vegetables, 91,7% (m=11) consumed iron-rich foods, 83,3% (n=10) ate ultraprocessed foods and 41,7% (n=5) ate foods rich in vitamin A. It was found that of children older than 2 years, 97,3% (n=36) consumed fresh or minimally processed foods and 94,6% (n=35) ingested ultra-processed foods. An editorial is presented on French philosopher Pierre Bayle's Historical and Critical Dictionary that makes use of the nerve center of historiographical practice, and it's socialization of the apparatus that supports practice. Topics include integrated with professional rigor and indicates the fundamentals character of academic research; effects of subjectivity play different roles referencing of statistical data and laboratory procedures in human sciences; and effort to promote access to documentation or bibliographic repertoire, after all interpretations.

Because of the pandemic, Brazilians' schools have suspended classroom lessons in mid-March 2020 and they have started to search for alternatives to keep the process of teaching and learning during the quarantine. In other words, the technologies, apps and on-line platforms have got excellence status in the educational spaces. The study analyzes the difficulties that are imposed to accomplish the process of teaching and learning, because of the pandemic focusing on the right to education. About the methodology, the part of the time that was chosen to study was December 2019 until March 2020. This contest will be approached by a crucial and scientific exam that will show the Humans Rights to education as a speech and not just a rule.
