The objective is to analyze critically euthanasia and existing divergent positions for and about the same relation to human dignity. Matters relating to life, liberty and dignity, as fundamental rights and thus under the framework of the Constitution, in various moments of modern times have been the subject of debates, discussions, polemics in various parts of society: academics banks to the Supreme Federal Court. The reasons listed were motivating the choice of subject matter. Euthanasia is a broad question, which includes not only the legal sciences, but several areas of knowledge such as medicine, psychiatry, sociology etc. It is a conflicting issue, given the subjectivity of the concepts that surround this issue, namely: life, death, love, piety among others, where they are executed on the basis of mental models developed over the life of every human being. There was, finally, that euthanasia, despite its complexity and controversy is a prohibited practice in our legal system. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
