Abstract Background Cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC) is one of the most common types of skin cancer worldwide. Therefore, the identification of biomarkers associated with CSCC progression could aid in the early detection of high-risk squamous cell carcinoma and the development of novel therapeutic strategies. Objective This study aimed to investigate the expression patterns of silent mating type Information Regulation 2 homolog 6 (SIRT6) in CSCC and its clinical significance. Methods The protein expression level of SIRT6 in tissues was detected by immunohistochemistry, and the correlation between SIRT6 expression and clinicopathological parameters in CSCC patients was analyzed. The relative expression of SIRT6 in CSCC cell lineage and tissue specimens was determined by western blotting and PCR. The effect of SIRT6 silencing on cell proliferation was evaluated using cell counting kit 8. Wound healing, transwell method, and flow cytometry were used to investigate the migration, invasion, and cell cycle distribution/apoptosis of CSCC cells after SIRT6 silencing, respectively. Western blot was used to detect the expression of EMT (Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition), cycle, apoptosis, and other related proteins. Results The high expression of SIRT6 was correlated with the location of cancer tissue and Broder staging in CSCC patients. Knockdown of SIRT6 inhibited the proliferation, migration, invasion and EMT of CSCC cells, and promoted their apoptosis, with cells blocked in G1 phase. Study limitations No animal experiments were conducted to further verify the results. Conclusion Decreased expression of SIRT6 can inhibit the occurrence and development of CSCC.

Abstract: We address the question of how elegantly to combine a number of different structures, such as finite product structure, monoidal structure, and colimiting structure, on a category. Extending work of Marmolejo and Lack, we develop the definition of a pseudo-distributive law between pseudo-monads, and we show how the definition and the main theorems about it may be used to model several such structures simultaneously. Specifically, we address the relationship between pseudo-distributive laws and the lifting of one pseudo-monad to the 2-category of algebras and to the Kleisli bicategory of another. This, for instance, sheds light on the preservation of some structures but not others along the Yoneda embedding. Our leading examples are given by the use of open maps to model bisimulation and by the logic of bunched implications. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

ABSTRACT We focus here on the problem of poor real-time performance and low accuracy of seed box allowance detection during wheat sowing operations, and present a real-time weighing system for a seed box allowance. The proposed weighing system obtains the seed box allowance using an ultrasonic sensor and load cell, and displays it in real time via a computer. Based on the proposed weighing system, the weighing structure is also designed for the seed box. At the software level, three filtering methods are proposed to condition the signal, namely mean filtering, median filtering, and the acceleration method, and models of these three filtering algorithms are implemented in MATLAB/Simulink. Experiments to assess the accuracy of the system and filtering algorithm were carried out on the test bench; the results show that the system error is initially in the range −16.3 g to 63.8 g, and is reduced to the range −13.4 g to 15.1 g after correction. No significant difference between the three filtering algorithms is found, but since the acceleration method can improve the response speed of the system, this is selected as the final filtering method.

ABSTRACT Fertilization at the large bell stage of maize is the key to increasing maize yield and improving fertilizer use efficiency. To achieve fast and accurate recognition of maize stems by intelligent agricultural equipment in complex field environments, an improved YOLO v4 maize stem recognition model with an increased CBAM, which can achieve real-time identification and positioning of maize stems, is proposed. In this paper, first, we collected images of maize stems under different conditions in the field, expanded the maize stem images and produced a maize stem image dataset by adding Gaussian noise, changing the brightness and performing other data enhancement methods, and manually annotated the maize stem via LabelImg software. Second, a convolutional block attention module (CBAM) and SIoU loss function were added to the original YOLO v4 target detection network to obtain the CB-YOLO v4 target detection network. Last, this network was compared with the original YOLO v4, Faster-RCNN, SSD and YOLO v3 target detection networks, and it achieved 93.1%, 92.4% and 92.6% precision, recall and mAP (mean average precision), respectively, for maize root recognition, which is significantly better than the other algorithms and is suitable for practical maize interrow operation systems.

ABSTRACT A sunken solar greenhouse is a unique structure used in China that has good thermal performance and a low cost. To explore the thermal environment and the marginal effect area under the trellis membrane in a sunken solar greenhouse, daytime heat absorption and nighttime exothermic models of the greenhouse were established based on existing theories and hypotheses. An experimental study of the three-dimensional thermal environment of a solar greenhouse was also conducted in the Jinzhong Basin of Shanxi Province. The daytime heat absorption model described how the internal thermal environment of the greenhouse changes in three dimensions, while the nighttime model calculated the amount of heat released at night. The results showed that the rate of change in the maximum temperature difference along the height direction in the greenhouse was 13 times that along the vertical direction, and three times that along the horizontal direction. We also observed that the marginal effect area under the membrane varied over time and by month. The minimum value of the marginal effect area occurred at the middle cross-section, spanning the middle position of the greenhouse, and the maximum height was 2.7 m. The results of this study can provide theoretical guidance and experimental data for the thermal environment of greenhouses of the same type in the Jinzhong Basin of Shanxi Province, thus providing a basis for environmental regulation and low-temperature margins in greenhouses.

ABSTRACT There are significant differences in the quantities of Camellia oleifera fruits growing within and outside the canopy distribution, meaning that a single mode of picking has drawbacks. To improve the harvesting efficiency for the inner and outer layers, this article proposes a synergistic mode of harvesting based on a vibration comb brush, and presents a design for a harvesting device based on this principle. The overall structure and working principle of the proposed device are explained, and the operational processes of the vibration and comb parts of the device are analyzed. ADAMS software is used to construct a rigid-flexible coupling model of the device and the fruiting branch, and simulation results are presented to show that the fruit drop and flower loss rates for Camellia oleifera are related to the vibration frequency, the amplitude, and the spacing between the teeth and comb plates. Finally, a three factor and three level field orthogonal experiment was conducted, and the results showed that under the conditions of vibration frequency 5.85Hz, amplitude 60.43mm, and comb spacing 45mm, the flower loss rate was the lowest and it had good picking performance. Under these conditions, the fruit drop rate is 87.32% and the flower loss rate is 8.06%, values that meet the requirements for mechanized picking of Camellia oleifera fruits.

ABSTRACT During the harvesting of waste straw in the field, a self-propelled baler undergoes significant oscillations in the longitudinal direction around its centre of gravity, which greatly affect the stability of operation and the comfort of the driver. In order to analyse the vibration characteristics of the main frame under multi-source excitation, the complete frame is divided into a chassis frame and a baling frame. A nine-degree-of-freedom vibration system model of the whole machine is established based on the relationship between the internal motion devices, and simulations are carried out using MATLAB/Simulink. In addition, a multi-body dynamics simulation of the compression device is carried out, and the law governing the variation in force at different unit points of the mechanism is analysed. Finally, the vibration response of the main frame under different working conditions is explored. The results show that the main frequency component of the frame in the no-load state is 80 Hz, and the main response frequency of the frame is about 1.6 Hz, a finding that is consistent with the operating frequency of the compression mechanism. In particular, the displacement amplitude of the simulated signal at the centroid position is consistent with that measured in experiments, which verifies the validity of the dynamic model. Our results can provide guidance for future work aiming to further reduce the body vibration amplitude and optimise the design of the frame.

ABSTRACT Through a long-term micro-area positioning experiment (2006-2017), the precise fertilization locations of spring maize (Zea mays L.) in Jilin, China, were investigated using an embedded cement bucket pot. The effects of different fertilization placements and additional application of organic manure on maize yield, biomass, grain nutrient uptake, and soil fertility were examined. Six treatments were designed: base fertilizer + topdressing shallow application (BF1TD1); base fertilizer deep + topdressing shallow application (BF2TD1); base fertilizer + topdressing deep application (BF1TD2); base fertilizer deep + topdressing deep application (BF2TD2); base fertilizer + topdressing + organic manure shallow application (BF1TD1 + OS); and base fertilizer + topdressing shallow application + organic manure deep application (BF1TD1 + OD). After 12 years of continuous experimentation, the findings revealed that BF2TD2, BF1TD1 + OS, and BF1TD1 + OD exhibited 10.59 %, 25.17 %, and 29.34 % higher average yields than BF1TD1, respectively. Deep topdressing was more beneficial in increasing maize yield and nutrient accumulation, and additionally, increasing the use of organic fertilizer enhanced plant biomass and nutrient uptake. Over the 12 years considered, the soil organic matter in the 0-20 cm and 20-40 cm layers increased by 45.96 % and 80.61 %, respectively, and the soil pH increased from 0.38 to 0.48. In general, the deep application of organic manure was more beneficial for soil retention as it can increase soil fertility in the 0-40 cm layer. Considering the high yield and nutrient absorption and utilization of maize, technical advancement for soil fertilizer in whole-field tillage layers was crucial.

Objective: The advancement of neuroimaging and genetic research has revealed the presence of morphological abnormalities and numerous risk genes, along with their associations. We aimed to estimate magnetic resonance imaging-derived cortical thickness across multiple brain regions. Methods: The cortical thickness of 129 schizophrenia patients, 42 of their unaffected siblings, and 112 healthy controls was measured and the candidate genes were sequenced. Comparisons were made of cortical thickness (including 68 regions of the Desikan-Killiany Atlas) and genetic variants (in 108 risk genes for schizophrenia) among the three groups, and correlation analyses were performed regarding cortical thickness, clinical symptoms, cognitive tests (such as the N-back task and the logical memory test), and genetic variants. Results: Schizophrenia patients had significantly thinner bilateral frontal, temporal, and parietal gyri than healthy controls and unaffected siblings. Association analyses in target genes showed that four single nucleotide variants (SNVs) were significantly associated with schizophrenia, including thioredoxin-related transmembrane protein 2-catenin, cadherin-associated protein, delta 1 (SNV20673) (positive false discovery rate [PFDR] = 0.008) and centromere protein M (rs35542507, rs41277477, rs73165153) (PFDR = 0.030). Additionally, cortical thickness in the right pars triangularis was lower in carriers of the SNV20673 variant than in non-carriers (PFDR = 0.048). Finally, a positive correlation was found between right pars triangularis cortical thickness and logical memory in schizophrenia patients (r = 0.199, p = 0.032). Conclusions: This study identified regional morphological abnormalities in schizophrenia, including the right homologue of Broca’s area, which was associated with a risk variant that affected delta-1 catenin and logical memory. These findings suggest a potential association between candidate gene loci, cortical thickness, and schizophrenia.

ABSTRACT In this study, a mixture of estradiol benzoate, progesterone, and testosterone propionate was injected into Diannan small-ear sows to induce estrus. The 16S rRNA technology was used to comparatively analyze the differences in fecal microbial composition and diversity between induced and spontaneous estrus in Diannan small-ear sows. The most abundant phylum in the sows in estrus were Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes, Actinobacteria, and Proteobacteria. There was a significant negative correlation between Firmicutes and Bacteroide and a significant positive correlation between Bacteroides and Bifidobacterium. The relative abundance of Stenotrophomonas, Neisseria, Anaerofustis, and Terrisporobacter in the sows during induced estrus was significantly higher than that during spontaneous estrus. Taken together, induced estrus affects the relative abundance of specific microbes in the feces of Diannan small-ear sows, but it does not affect the overall composition and diversity. These results provide fundamental knowledge about the gut microbiota of sows with induced estrus.

Objectives: The present study analyzed the reciprocal relationships between four common pediatric ophthalmic diseases (i.e., hyperopia, myopia, astigmatism, and strabismus) and attention‐deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children. Methods: This study enrolled 86,028 children with ADHD and 1,798,673 children without ADHD in the Taiwan Maternal and Child Health Database who were born at any time from 2004 to 2017. Cox proportional hazards regression models were used to estimate the bidirectional relationships of the four ophthalmic diseases with ADHD in children after adjusting for age, sex, and gestational age at birth. Survival curves for time-to-event variables were estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method, and the log-rank test was used to compare the curves. Results: The results indicated that ADHD significantly predicted the occurrence of hyperopia, myopia, astigmatism, and strabismus. Furthermore, hyperopia, myopia, astigmatism, and strabismus significantly predicted the occurrence of ADHD. The time between enrollment and ADHD diagnosis was shorter for patients with ophthalmic diseases than for the control group, and the time between enrollment and ophthalmic disease diagnosis was also shorter for ADHD patients than for the control group. Sex differences were found in the associations between ADHD and ophthalmic diseases. Conclusion: Clinicians should monitor children with ADHD for hyperopia, myopia, astigmatism, and strabismus to ensure appropriate treatment, and vice versa.

ABSTRACT The geometric characteristics, physical parameters and contact parameters of coated cotton seeds were obtained through theoretical analysis and experimental measurements. A discrete element model reflecting the intrinsic parameters of cotton seeds was established, the contact parameters of coated cotton seeds were calibrated using Discrete Element Method (DEM), and the significant factors affecting the stacking angle were screened using the Plackett-Burman method. The optimal ranges of the parameters were determined by the steepest ascent method, and a second-order regression model of the stacking angle and significant parameters was established by a central composite design. The following optimal values were obtained for cotton seeds: collision recovery (0.38), static friction (0.57) and rolling friction (0.19) coefficients. The average value of the stacking angle obtained by simulations with the best combination of parameters was 30.52°, the result of the simulation test was 30.91°, and the relative error was 1.278%. It is shown that the discrete element particle model and calibration parameters of cotton seed are closer to the actual situation, which can provide theoretical reference for analyzing the precise seeding of cotton seed and optimizing the structural parameters of seed disperser.

Dance is one of the oldest art forms of mankind and an important way to inherit history and culture. The integration and collision of historical culture and dance education provide the direction for their effective inheritance and development. Dance art, which has the advantage of natural "embodiment", is the movement education that every student needs. However, imitation-oriented and teacher-led teaching makes the current dance education of students tend to be "divorced from the mind and body", which restricts the development of dance and history and culture. The descriptive qualitative method was used in this study. This paper takes the historical development of the Chinese tea dance as an example to carry out research on the inheritance optimization of primary school dance teaching based on embodied cognition theory. Based on extensive reference to relevant literature, the origin of the tea dance is scientifically researched. Secondly, the development history and historical evolution process of the tea dance are analyzed, and the value of the tea dance based on historical changes is summarized. Finally, the embodied cognition theory is introduced to propose a five-dimensional optimization strategy for tea dance to realize protective cultural inheritance through primary school dance teaching. The results indicate that the reform of primary school dance education in the perspective of historical and cultural heritage is of great significance for the dissemination and development of intangible cultural heritage such as the tea dance in modern society, and that the application of embodied cognitive theory theories in this process is able to better inherit historical and cultural heritage.

ABSTRACT: We use the ARIMA-GARCH model to estimate the shocks of COVID-19 on Chinese agricultural markets and utilize the ARDL-ECM model to estimate the integration relationships between Chinese and international agricultural markets which are based on the effective market hypothesis theory and daily trading data of US, UK, China and India. The main study findings showed that COVID-19 has a significant negative impact on agricultural product market, specifically, India suffered with the greatest negative impact, followed by the UK, the US and China. Further, this study results revealed that Chinese grain markets that are considered strategic places have not been separated from international markets, but there still exist segmentation phenomena among non-strategic agricultural markets.

ABSTRACT To explore the functions of Txnip and its mechanism in adipocyte differentiation, the preadipocytes were isolated from subcutaneous adipose tissue of three-day-old piglets and induced into adipogenic differentiation. The expression of Txnip and ChREBP was silenced, and the Txnip overexpression was achieved in the cells with transfection of the recombinant lentivirus strategies. Txnip silencing promoted the differentiation of porcine preadipocytes and PPARγ expression, and a PPARγ inhibitor reduced this facilitation. Instead, Txnip overexpression exerted a suppressive effect on the cell differentiation and PPARγ expression, and the PPARγ agonist offset this inhibition. High glucose stimulated the preadipocyte differentiation and expressions of ChREBP and Txnip. In contrast, Txnip expression was reduced by ChREBP silencing, suggesting glucose-regulated Txnip expression through the mediation of ChREBP. Moreover, the expressions of ChREBP and Glut4 induced by high glucose and glucose uptake of the cells were reduced by Txnip-overexpression, but increased by Txnip silencing, while these changes of Txnip did not alter their expressions under low glucose. Collectively, Txnip could be an inhibitor of porcine preadipocyte differentiation, which attenuated the adipogenesis through the negative feedback regulation on PPARγ. Txnip impaired the induction of glucose on the preadipocyte differentiation through decreasing Glut4 expression and glucose uptake and subsequent decrease of the expression and transcriptional activity of ChREBP.

ABSTRACT In this study, a device was designed for tillage of compacted soil in wheel ruts formed by the repeated passage of agricultural machines.[Ed1] Soil parameters were measured, and then the wheel rut tillage device was divided into two parts, the soil lifting unit and the soil breaking unit, for separate simulation tests to study the tillage process. EDEM[Ed2] simulations were applied to the soil lifting device to compare and analyze the microscopic movement of the simulated soil particles and the operational resistance of the device. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed using Design-Expert10 [Ed3] software to obtain the optimum combination of parameters of 125 mm device offset distance, 43.6° entry angle and 28° lifting angle. A full-factor test was conducted on the soil crushing device using EDEM coupled with RecuDyn multi-body system dynamics simulation software. The number of bond breaks and the traction resistance of the soil crushing device were used as the test indicators, and the optimum parameters were obtained for a soil crushing knife blade thickness of 6 mm and a cutting edge angle of 30° for the largest number of bond breaks and least traction resistance. The results of this study will provide technical support for the reduction of compaction zones in wheel ruts after tire travel on agricultural machinery in real time.

Magnetic zirconium-iron oxide nanoparticles loaded on palygorskite as a low-cost adsorbent was produced by one-step co precipitation technique and its properties for phosphate adsorption were overall investigated. The Brunauer Emmett Teller (BET) specific surface area analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) were used to characterize the adsorbent and evaluate the adsorption interactions. The influences of pH, ionic strength and coexisting ions on phosphate adsorption were measured with a discussion of the adsorption mechanism. Results indicated that no very noticeable changes on the surface properties, structure and phosphate adsorption capacity be found for the magnetic zirconium-iron oxide nanoparticles loaded on palygorskite or not. The adsorption kinetics fitted to the pseudo-second-order model and adsorption isotherm followed Langmuir equation and Dubinin-Radushkevich equation. The phosphate adsorption was slightly affected by ionic strength and highly dependent on pH, i.e. increasing pH sharply restrained adsorption under neutral and alkaline conditions. The surface OH groups in the adsorbent processed an important role in adsorption and the adsorption mechanism conformed to ion exchange and complex. The adsorbent could be conveniently regenerated and effectively reused.

ABSTRACT In the process of rice harvesting, the passability of the track combine harvester is often limited by the state of the soil. Meanwhile, wet and soft paddy soil is compacted under the rolling of harvesting machinery, which also affects the soil function and the ecological environment. Therefore, the relationship between the physical and mechanical properties of wet and soft paddy soil was studied in this paper. In addition, compaction from a track combine harvester on field soil with and without rice stubble was studied. The density and gradation of wet and soft paddy soil were positively correlated with cohesion and negatively correlated with the internal friction angle. In paddy soil with a moisture content of 16–36%, the soil moisture content was negatively correlated with cohesion and internal friction angle. Additionally, the plastic deformation of soil with rice stubble under compaction was greater than that without rice stubble, and the plastic deformation of the field with rice stubble mainly occurred in the second rolling stage. Increasing the speed of the track combine harvester effectively reduced the compaction risk of rice stubble soil.

The Yan'an area was an important base for China's revolution. It was also in Yan'an that the Chinese Communist Party brought a lot of political and theoretical knowledge to the local people and created a lot of artistic forms, one of which was vocal music. Driven by the "Red Gene," the work of the Red Army in the Yan'an area became smoother, and they communicated with the local people on a spiritual level through vocal works. In the past 40 years of reform and opening up, the development of the times and social changes, the public aesthetic concept has also quietly developed and changed, which has had a great impact on the development of national vocal music: the creation of a large number of excellent national vocal works to glorify the new era; the performance of both the traditional singing bright and sweet and Western Bel canto singing transparent and round. In terms of education, a large number of national vocal educators such as Jin Tielin, Zou Wenqin, Ma Qiuhua, etc. They have established a perfect education and training system and complete singing skills. This Paper discusses the development of national vocal music and analyzes the important breakthroughs and achievements in the field of national vocal music in three stages, and composes the characteristics of national vocal music development itself, and analyzes and researches the various factors affecting it, so that we can think of danger in peace and create glory again.

Introduction and objectives: Pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) technique has become the cornerstone of atrial fibrillation (AF) catheter ablation. The objective of this study was to assess the efficacy and safety of extended antrum ablation based on electrophysiological substrate mapping plus PVI in AF patients who underwent cryoballoon ablation. Methods: In this observational study, a total of 121 paroxysmal AF patients and 80 persistent AF patients who did not achieve the procedure endpoint after cryoballoon ablation received extra extended antrum ablation (EAA) based on electrophysiological substrate mapping via radiofrequency ablation (EAA group). As a control group (PVI group), among paroxysmal AF and persistent AF patients, we conducted a propensity score-matched cohort, in whom only PVI was completed. Results: The average follow-up time was 15.27±7.34 months. Compared with PVI group, paroxysmal AF patients in the EAA group had a significantly higher rate of AF-free survival (90.1% vs. 80.2%, p=0.027) and AF, atrial flutter, or atrial tachycardia (AFLAT) -free rate survival (89.3% vs. 79.3%, p=0.031). Persistent AF patients in the EAA group also had a significantly higher rate of AF-free survival (90.0% vs. 75.0%, p=0.016) and AFLAT-free survival (88.8% vs. 75.0%, p=0.029) than PVI group. Complication rates did not significantly differ between both groups, in either paroxysmal AF or persistent AF patients. Conclusion: Our findings demonstrate that extra extended antrum ablation based on electrophysiological substrate mapping is effective and safe. Moreover, the strategy can improve the outcome of AF cryoablation.

ABSTRACT To solve the current problems of poor seeding stability and complex maintenance of maize seed-metering devices, a clamp-holding precision maize-seed-metering device is designed. The structure and working principle of the seed-metering device are described, the optimum state of maize seed clamping is analyzed, and the range of each working area of the seed-metering device is determined. The profile and structural parameters of the limit guide plate are designed by analyzing the laws of motion of the seed-picking block. A mechanical model of maize seeds under the critical state in each working area of the seed-metering device is established. The influence of the seed-metering device's rotational speed and the clamping force of the seed-picking block on the seeding performance are analyzed. A physical prototype of the seed-metering device was made for bench tests and field verification tests. The qualified, multiple seeding, and missed seeding rates of the designed seed-metering device were 94.21%, 3.52%, and 2.27%, respectively, meeting the agronomic requirements of maize sowing. The study provides theoretical guidance for designing and optimizing precision maize-seed-metering devices.

The text analyzes the film Landscape in the mist (1988), by Theo Angelopoulos. The reading is divided into four moments: the first is devoted to the reading of the Odyssey, more specifically, of the “Telemachy”, as the first four books of this epic supposedly inaugurate a locus in Western literature: the journey in search of the father which echoes strongly in Angelopoulos’ filmic narrative. Then, we visit the concepts of Vaterland (fatherland) and Heimat (homeland) in order to explore the relationship between genealogical origin and the identity of Telemachus. In the third moment, we develop the concept of allegory, according to Walter Benjamin (2013), which supports our interpretation. Finally, we propose our reading of the film, supported by accurate comments by David Bordwell (2008) and Andrew Horton (1997). With this, we aim to show how the identity of the modern man linked to the fatherland or the homeland is no longer so clear to philosophy, as it was in the Odyssey, and neither to the “post-war cinema”, in the words of Bordwell (2008), both intend the relationship between genealogical origin, roots, homeland and identity.

ABSTRACT An increasing amount of sunlight is available to sunken greenhouses located in northern China, but it remains unclear how the indoor temperature changes at different heights and at the north and south ends of the structure. To study how the temperature in a single indoor section, at multiple points, varies in a sunken solar greenhouse, 10 measurement lines were arranged in a section 30 m from the west wall. Each line was equipped with a corresponding WT-59 wireless sensor. Temperature and humidity data were collected from 8 March 2019 to 26 December 2019. The following results were obtained. (1) The indoor temperature variation in a day could be divided into four stages: from 0:00 to 7:30 h, the temperature at all measurement points decreased linearly; from 7:30 to 14:30 h, the temperature at all measurement points increased curvilinearly; from 14:30 to 18:00, the temperature at all measurement points decreased curvilinearly; and from 18:30 to 24:00, the temperature at all measurements points decreased linearly. (2) The maximum temperature on sunny days in the greenhouse was higher than that on cloudy days and snowy days, but the maximum temperature on cloudy days and snowy days in the greenhouse occurred 3 h earlier than on sunny days. (3) The lowest average temperature of a sunken solar greenhouse over 3–6 months was 7.5ଌ, without heating. The research results provide theoretical and reference data on how the temperature changes in the interior of a solar greenhouse and inform about the three-dimensional planting height and ventilation times.

ABSTRACT The function and protection of the parathyroid glands are increasingly popular research topics. New Zealand white rabbits are the most commonly used animal model of parathyroid ischemia. However, information on the vasculature of their parathyroid glands is limited. We used 94 healthy New Zealand white rabbits, 3-4 months of age and 2-3kg in weight, for exploration of the parathyroid glands, which were stained using hematoxylin and eosin (HE) after removal. The following types were classified according to the relationship between the position of the inferior parathyroid gland and the thyroid: Type A, Close Type, Type B, and Distant Type. There were 188 cases, 4 where the inferior parathyroid glands were located near the dorsal side of thyroid (2.13%), 8 where the inferior parathyroid glands were located superior to the upper pole of the thyroid (4.26%), 20 where the inferior parathyroid glands were located parallel to the thyroid (10.64%), and 155 cases where the inferior parathyroid glands were located inferior to the lower pole of thyroid (82.45%). Identifying the location and classifying the vasculature of the parathyroid glands in New Zealand white rabbits will provide an anatomical model to assist in future research.

This paper aims to discuss international students education from the BRICS countries in China from 2013 to 2017. During this period, with the promotion of the Chinese government and the cooperation of other BRICS countries, the total number of international students from the BRICS countries studying in China had continued to grow, finally approaching 45,000. Degree students took up a main share, the number of them was increasing steadily and the students educational level was increasingly optimized. The number of scholarship students continued to grow, and the proportion had continuously increased. The majors distribution was more balanced. Meanwhile, there were still some problems in international students education from the BRICS countries in China, including unbalanced development among the four BRICS countries, mutual recognition of higher education qualifications and degrees not fully covered, limited number and unitary source of scholarships, lack of high quality of higher education and international students teaching, and insufficient external information introduction and dissemination, etc. Based on the statistics released by Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and combining quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis, the paper focuses on progress made and the problems of international students education from the BRICS countries in China during the period from 2013 to 2017, and gives some recommendations for its future development. To demonstrate my ideas, the paper is divided into four parts. After the introduction, the second part will present an analysis of progress made in the international students education from the BRICS countries in China. Its problems will be analyzed in the third part. At last, the fourth one, there is a conclusion and some recommendations.

Abstract Background: Reports regarding the causative drugs of drug-induced cutaneous adverse reactions in China are indistinct, such that different regions have reported the spectrum of drugs differs substantially in different clinical conditions. Objective: To explore the causative drugs that led to cutaneous reactions. Methods: Adverse drug reaction reports from central China were collected and divided into cutaneous adverse reactions and severe cutaneous adverse reactions groups. Cases were reviewed retrospectively for causative drugs. Results: The male:female ratio was equal in both cutaneous adverse reactions and severe cutaneous adverse reactions. In cutaneous adverse reactions (n = 482), the highest incidence happened between 51 and 60 years of age and the top three causative drugs were antibiotics (48%), Chinese medicine (16%), and allopurinol (9%). In severe cutaneous adverse reactions (n = 126), the highest incidence happened between 41 and 50 years of age and the top three causative drugs were sedative-hypnotics and antiepileptics (39%), antibiotics (22%), and allopurinol (15%). Carbamazepine was the most frequently used single-drug (16/18) in sedative-hypnotics and antiepileptics. β-lactams were the most frequently used antibiotics that induced both cutaneous adverse reactions and severe cutaneous adverse reactions. Study limitations: The small sample size, retrospective design, collection of cutaneous adverse reactions and severe cutaneous adverse reactions at different time frames and locations, and exclusion of patients taking more than five medications are limitations of the study. Conclusions: Gender does not affect cutaneous adverse reactions and severe cutaneous adverse reactions. The top three drugs to induce cutaneous adverse reactions are antibiotics, Chinese medicine, and allopurinol, while those that triggered severe cutaneous adverse reactions are sedative-hypnotics and antiepileptics, antibiotics, and allopurinol. Carbamazepine is the most frequent single drug that induces severe cutaneous adverse reactions. β-lactams are the most frequently used antibiotics that induce both cutaneous adverse reactions and severe cutaneous adverse reactions.

Objective: Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) prevention efficacy trials with psychiatric patients have been conducted in research settings in high-resourced countries, establishing short-term efficacy for reducing sexual risk behavior. None has been implemented within systems of care. In the last decade, overcoming this research-to-practice gap has become a focus of implementation science. This paper describes the first and only HIV Prevention intervention trial for psychiatric patients conducted in real-world outpatient psychiatric settings facilitated by trained clinic-based providers. Methods: The HIV Prevention intervention, which uses the Information-Motivation-Behavioral Skills model to achieve sexual risk-reduction, was rigorously adapted to the local context and clinic services’ needs. Participants from eight clinics were randomized to HIV Prevention or Health Promotion conditions. Results: HIV Prevention participants showed significant improvement in Information-Motivation-Behavioral domains; in this group, behavioral intentions were associated with significantly fewer unprotected sex occasions, but reduction of unprotected sex occasions was similar in both conditions. Conclusion: Our trial was conducted before implementation studies became widely funded. Transporting an intervention to a new culture or into real-world practice settings may require adaptations. Our results demonstrate that clear guidelines are needed regarding whether to conduct efficacy, effectiveness, and/or implementation research as the most appropriate next step. Clinical trial registration: NCT00881699

Abstract Objective and background: Erector spinae plane block is a novel analgesic truncal block that has been popularized due to its ease of performance and perceived safety. Erector spinae plane block has been postulated to target the ventral rami and rami communicates of spinal nerves, thus providing somatic and visceral analgesia. In this case series, we describe our experience of bilateral erector spinae plane block placed at the low thoracic level in open gynecologic oncology surgery in three patients. Method: Under ultrasound guidance, erector spinae plane blocks were done, preoperatively, at the 8th thoracic transverse process bilaterally. Numeric rating scale for pain and opioid consumption of the first 48 postoperative hours were recorded. Results: Pain scores ranged from 0 to 4 among the three patients and 48 h opioid consumption in oral morphine equivalents of 4, 6 and 18 mg. No adverse events were recorded up to patient discharge from the hospital. Conclusions: Erector spinae plane block provided effective analgesia in our case series. While its true mechanism of action remains obscure, the available case reports show encouraging analgesic results with no adverse events recorded. Formal prospective randomized trials are underway to provide further evidence on its efficacy, failure rate and safety.

Since the coronavirus disease (covid-19) was declared a public health emergency of international concern by the World Health Organization in January 2020, it has led to the loss of millions of human lives and a global economic recession. Recently, there has been a recognized need for effective health communication via social media to deliver accurate information and promote pertinent behavioral change. Thus, this study provides a systematic review to explore what has been done, what conflicts exist, and what knowledge gap remains in terms of social media use during the covid-19 wave, indicating relevant communication strategies. This research is based on 76 relevant papers taken from searches on the Web of Science and Google Scholar. The analysis revealed that much of the literature confirms the positive effect of social media on information propagation and promotion of precautions in the control of covid-19. The spreading of rumors, especially about government performance, in social media is clearly of increasing concern. Currently, heated debate continues about the association between exposure to social media and public mental health. Another fiercely debated question is whether rumors are shared more widely than fact-checking information. Up to date, far too little attention has been paid to information disparities and vulnerable groups on social media.

ABSTRACT Objective: To explore the predictive roles of D-dimer for the mortality of patients with community-acquired pneumonia (CAP). Methods: This was a systematic review and meta-analysis. We searched the following databases: PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, Ovid MEDLINE, and Cochrane Library from their inception to July 26, 2020. Studies exploring the relationship between blood D-dimer levels and CAP-related mortality were selected. In this meta-analysis, we calculated mortality rates, sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratios, and negative likelihood ratios. Results: The search identified 1,073 articles, 8 of which (a total of 2,126 patients) were included in this meta-analysis. The pooled mortality rate of the overall sample was 0.10 (95% CI, 0.08-0.14). The levels of blood D-dimer in the nonsurvivors were significantly higher than those in the survivors (weighted mean difference = 1.03 mg/L [95% CI, 0.81-1.26]; p < 0.00001). The area under the summary ROC curve for the optimal cutoff value of D-dimer as a predictor of mortality was 0.848 (SE = 0.046), and the pooled negative likelihood ratio for D-dimer within the normal range was 0.24 (95% CI, 0.11-0.53). Conclusions: Blood D-dimer might be helpful for the initial assessment of mortality risk of patients with CAP. D-dimer levels within the normal range indicate low risk of mortality. Because of the small sample size in our study, our findings should be further explored and validated in future studies with larger sample sizes.
