The article analyzes how the engagement of families in a sociability network can create opportunities and strategies for their members to achieve individual goals in their life project at football career. With this regard, we use as a theoretical frame the notions of life project and field of possibilities to understand the process of those families in the training management that their children athletes need to do. The ethnographic study analyzed the trajectory of five families of athletes over two years. The results allow us to argue that the insertion in the social networks expands the field of possibilities in the construction of a career in football. It is concluded that the branching of these networks and the construction of bridges with central mediators in this field are fundamental for the strengthening of the football project of these athletes and their families. The Ponte da Amizade, located in the Tri-Border Area (Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay), has been the main crossing between Brazil and Paraguay since the final decades of the 20th century. The objective of this article is to historicize this frontier in the period before the construction of the bridge, more specifically in the beginning of the 1940s. The starting point of the analysis is the dossier "Political fugitives for the Republic of Paraguay" of DOPS/PR. Two arguments will be defended: western Paraná in the 1940s was not a viable route for political fugitives; and DOPS/PR became a reference in gathering information on political exiles in Paraguay. Paraguay is a country remarkably open to trade, yet economic actors have thus far been reluctant to deepen the regional integration process. The reasons for the emergence of these perceptions have not been analyzed in recent years, reducing the discussion mainly to the benefits and costs of regional integration as it was implemented, as well as the regional and institutional weaknesses in managing that process. Using a review of existing literature, this essay will attempt, firstly, to describe the conditions under which Paraguay entered Mercosur, and the challenges the country faced under the block existence. Secondly, it will observe both the institutional changes made by Paraguay in order to take advantage of Mercosur, and those still unresolved deficiencies that impede that action. Thirdly, it will analyze the benefits and costs incurred throughout the changes in the integration process; and its theoretical approaches of evaluation.
