Mathematics is considered a difficult subject by students of all ages. Consequently, educators search for ways to make the subject more pleasant, enjoyable, and relevant. Divisibility is one of the most important concepts in Number Theory. As such, educators need to develop strategies that help students understand the concept of division rather than merely memorizing rules. The challenge of learning division extends to understanding criteria for divisibility. Therefore, our objective was to develop didactic-methodological strategies that use the Sieve of Eratosthenes software to teach criteria for divisibility by 3 and 5. The study was qualitative and exploratory and conducted with Mathematics teachers from public middle schools (6th to 9th grade). The Sieve of Eratosthenes was chosen because it is free to use and available online. The strategies were sequential, standardized, and sufficiently detailed to guide teachers and students in the classroom and while using the software. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
