The present article aims to analyze child and youth labor in soccer, proposing a normative regulation, due to the possibility of risks to the physical and mental integrity of this population, in light of the Principle of Integral Protection, enshrined by the Constitution of the Federative Republic of Brazil (CRFB/88) and by international treaties, and that recognized to this population segment the condition of subject of rights. As a research methodology, the deductive method was chosen, through eminently bibliographical consultation, and study of the case of the players of Flamengo Regatta Club, victimized in 2019, as a method of procedure. Moreover, as the training of professional athletes in the soccer field is a reality in our country, reaching children and adolescents, and as such, it can be characterized as precocious work, depending on the conditions, the text aims to answer the research problem concerning whether child and youth work in soccer, considering its potential damage to physical and psychological development, is properly regulated in Brazil. The conclusion is that there is insufficient legislation related to the protection of the interests of this group regarding the activities developed in the context of soccer, which ends up denoting a disregard for the peculiar condition of a person in the process of development.
