This essay aims to analyze papers of financial disclosure of Brazilian football clubs based on the theory of disclosure, seeking to identify unresolved issues and offer opportunities for future research. The benefits associated with disclosure, such as a higher return on investment and a reduction in the cost of capital, are related to the business environment. The essay discusses the existence of two limitations when considering football clubs. The first involves the ability of accounting to fulfill its role of portraying the economic and financial reality of these organizations. The second is the requirement for rational stakeholder expectations. The quantitative articles verified adapt the dissemination and association studies. In qualitative articles, the main issue raised is the low level of disclosure.It appears that the logic that permeates the club's relations with stakeholders is not necessarily rational, considering the existence of a very strong passionate component, which can diminish the relevance of disclosure in this sector. Due to these limitations, it is concluded that clubs do not have the same benefits expected by the disclosure theory, which may justify their low level of disclosure.

In this work, the peels of ripe banana (Musa sp.), variety “Prata”, were used to prepare a flour, which was evaluated for its physicochemical characteristics and antioxidant activity. The characterization of its chemical profile was performed by a fast and simple method: paper spray-mass spectrometry. This flour had high carbohydrate content and total dietary fiber, and significant amount of total phenolic compounds with antioxidant activity. In addition, this flour exhibited higher water-holding, oil-holding and swelling capacities than those of fruit by-products reported in the literature. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy confirmed the presence of functional groups of cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin, constituents of insoluble dietary fiber. By the paper spray-mass spectrometry technique, it was possible to suggest the presence of 26 substances such as organic acids, phenolic acids, flavonoids, sugars, quinones, and terpenoids. Thus, this study demonstrated that the ripe banana peel flour has potential application as an ingredient for functional foods.

Resumo: Este artigo se propõe a analisar três tipos de estruturas sintáticas com o verbo acabar em português do Brasil: aquelas com o verbo acabar seguido de oração cujo verbo está no gerúndio (eu acabei escrevendo o artigo); aquelas em que o mesmo verbo é seguido de preposição por e oração infinitiva (eu acabei por escrever o artigo); e aquelas em que o verbo é seguido de um CP finito (acabou que eu escrevi o artigo). As três estruturas veiculam um sentido próximo: um conjunto de circunstâncias ou eventos subentendidos ou mencionados no contexto culminam ou causam o evento expresso pela oração que segue o verbo acabar, e nas três construções o verbo acabar comporta-se como típico verbo de alçamento. O trabalho defende que, no contexto sintático desses três tipos de complemento frasal, o significado da raiz do verbo acabar inclua um superevento, chamemo-lo S, que reúne o conjunto de circunstâncias ou eventos referidos acima, e estabelece que tal conjunto culmina ou causa o evento (ou um estado resultante ou associado a tal evento) veiculado pela oração complemento. O texto também mostra que os diferentes complementos frasais podem estabelecer relações temporais distintas entre a culminação do superevento S e o tempo do evento expresso pela oração subordinada, e também têm propriedades sintáticas distintas, como a possibilidade ou não de topicalizações ou focalização contrastiva dentro da oração subordinada, em sua periferia esquerda. Abstract: This article aims to analyze three types of syntactic structures with the verb acabar in Brazilian Portuguese: those with the verb acabar followed by a gerund clause (eu acabei escrevendo o artigo – I ended up writing the paper); those in which the same verb is followed by the preposition por and an infinitive clause (eu acabei por escrever o artigo – I ended up writing the paper (I finished for write the paper)); and those in which the verb is followed by a finite CP (acabou que eu escrevi o artigo – I ended up writing the paper (finished that I wrote the paper)). The three structures convey a close meaning, which includes a set of circumstances or events implied or mentioned in the context that culminates or causes the event expressed by the clause following the verb acabar, and in the three constructions the verb acabar behaves as a typical raising verb. The work argues that in the syntactic context of these three types of phrasal complement the meaning of the root of the verb acabar includes a superevent, let us call it S, which brings together the set of circumstances or events referred to above, and establishes that such set culminates or causes the event (or a state resulting or associated with such an event) conveyed by the complement clause. The paper also shows that the different phrasal complements can establish distinct temporal relationships between the culmination of the superevent S and the time of the event expressed by the subordinate clause, and also have distinct syntactic properties, such as the possibility of topicalization or contrastive focusing within the subordinate clause, in its left periphery. This study aims to analyze the relative efficiency of graduate programs in terms of the quality of their scientific publications in journals. To this end, we applied Data Envelopment Analysis to the fields of Public and Business Administration, Accounting, and Tourism, using data from the 2017 Quadrennial Evaluation developed by the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior “Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel”, CAPES. The results suggest that efficient graduate programs are concentrated in the center-south axis of Brazil, in the areas of Administration and Accounting. Despite the overall publishing strategy in journals of various ranks (strata), efficient graduate programs allocate their efficiency primarily to Qualis A1 journals, A1 being the excellence rating in the CAPES scale. We conclude that legitimized research practices pressure graduate programs to improve the quality of their publications while threatening the survival of programs that fail to conform to the assessment rules.

The São Paulo Network Program of Teacher Training (RedeFor) of the Secretary of Education of São Paulo State /Brazil, has proposed in partnership with the São Paulo State University, the continuing education for teachers of the State public school system, through specialization courses, about Inclusive and Special Education, in the distance learning modality. In order to meet an audience of 1.600 teachers, seven courses were implemented from 2014 to 2015, amongst which is the course of Special Education, with a total workload of 444 hours spread between activities in the Virtual Learning Environment of UNESP, internships, In-Person Meetings as well as preparation and presentation of scientific papers. After the completion of disciplines and In-Person Meetings, in 2015 were created 55 groups for the guidance of academic papers, where each supervisor had to perform the online pedagogical mediation of 10 to 20 course participants for the preparation of a scientific paper. It is intended to discuss in this article the aspects present in two scientific papers developed within the course, which addressed the discussion about the beginning teachers and curriculum for the development of Special Education within the Inclusive perspective. The results demonstrate that this specialization course brought important elements to the axis of participant's reflections, so that Special Education can really be strengthened in an inclusive perspective, in the public schools of São Paulo.

This article presents an exploratory study about the use of the word “metacognition” in papers published in Science and Mathematics Teaching Brazilian journals of stratum A1 and A2 of CAPES, from 2007 to 2017. The corpus of the research was constituted of 430 papers that were analysed by the procedures of Content Analysis. Two interpretative movements were carried out: the first focused on the general intentionality of the article, exploring the contexts in which the word metacognition was used, systematized in six emerging categories: Learning Process; Metacognitive process; Teacher training; Evaluation Instrument; Learning Object and Learning Environment; the second focused on the meanings of the word metacognition presented in the articles, from which thirteen categories emerged: Metacognitive Process; Metacognitive strategy; Metacognitive Ability; Metacognitive Character; Metacognitive thinking; Learning; Metacognitive Knowledge; Teacher Metacognition; Self-regulation; Awareness raising; Metacognitive Competence; Metacognitive Model and Metacognitive Level. From these analyzes resulted what we call the „general diagram‟, which represents a synthesis of researches about metacognition published in Science and Mathematics Teaching Brazilian journals in the last 11 years.

Knowledge is acquired as an interdisciplinary process, that is, it establishes a link between different disciplines. An activity that can be used as an integrating activity is paper chromatography, which consists of a physical-chemical analysis process for separating mixtures. Thus, the purpose of this study was to analyse the application of paper chromatography as an interdisciplinary method for teaching Biology, Physics and Chemistry, for the 1st year of High School at a school in Itacoatiara, Amazonas. The study is quali-quantitative type, carried out at a state school called Professor Mirtes Rosa Mendes de Mendonça Lima, in three classes of the 1st Year of High School, with a class named control and two participants. A previous questionnaire was applied to both classes, followed by a theoretical class and a second questionnaire for control and theoretical class, experimental activity and a second questionnaire for the participant class. The percentage of correct answers among the questionnaires was evaluated by Analysis of Variance – ANOVA. In total, 62 students from the three classes participated. From the results obtained, it was possible to verify that there was improvement in the students' understanding of the contents of Chemistry and Physics, however, there the same did not happen for Biology. The ANOVA results show that, when comparing the correctness of the questionnaires, there was no difference between the control group and the participating classes. Therefore, it is possible to conclude that paper chromatography is a facilitating activity for the integration and learning of the contents of Physics and Chemistry; and that the chromatography experimental activity did not contribute to the understanding of the content in relation to the traditional class, however, it developed a greater motivation and participation of the students.

A incidência de indústrias papeleiras na região de Três Lagoas, a partir de 2009, trouxe uma série de compromissos e consequências aos assentados da reforma agrária. Com a oferta de isenções fiscais ilimitadas, financiamento público via BNDES e outros programas e projetos de fomento industrial, as indústrias se estabeleceram e iniciaram os processos para duplicação de suas plantas industriais. Já, os assentados ficam à mercê, pois, não têm condições de obter acesso a investimentos, nem a financiamentos dos bancos públicos e demais agências de fomento. Nessa perspectiva, a única fonte de financiamento da produção agrícola familiar acaba sendo as próprias papeleiras, por meio de seus planos e programas de desenvolvimento sustentável (PDS). Apenas no assentamento onde se desenvolveu a empiria há 181 lotes, mas, menos de 20 foram beneficiados pelos financiamentos. Nesse sentido, a forma e o modelo de financiamento, a velocidade e o volume de recursos aportados ficam à discricionariedade absoluta e exclusiva das próprias papeleiras, o que repercute social e economicamente entre os assentados, criando como que uma zona de aprisio-namento dos assentados às papeleiras, aqui denominadas cativeiros de papel

This paper is about the development of a new material from the composition of a renewable biodegradable polymer – the starch – added to paper waste. We describe the process of obtaining this composite material and the analysis of its intangible characteristics. As a result of this research, we can argue that this composite material can be an interesting alternative for designing innovative and sustainable products.

Introduction: The final paper has the purpose of bringing the student closer to the practice of research and experience with the ethical aspects which are relevant to intellectual property and research with human beings. Its elaboration facilitates the investigation of a problem and the elaboration of solutions that consolidate the knowledge acquired during the course. Objective: Featuring the graduation final paper in occupational therapy of a public university. Method: This is descriptive, qualitative-quantitative research that used data which were collected in 154 documents, as well as in questionnaires answered by 24 advisors. Results: The works were mostly literature review or documentary research, with a qualitative approach, which used the field notebook as a data collection instrument. The most studied areas were the Hospital Context and Family Health, in works related to the themes experienced by the students in projects of extension, research, disciplines or internship. The orientations were carried out only by the advisor, within their research areas, and the most found problem was the difficulty in the student’s writing process. The examination boards were made up of effective or temporary teachers from the own course, who signaled the methodology as the main failure of the work. Conclusion: The data showed that students need more opportunities to exercise and elaborate a scientific text before the moment of the final paper creation and those teachers need to support their pupils in the search for more diversified research objects, instruments, and methodologies.

Abstract Recycling has been pointed out as an alternative to the disposal of waste materials in industrial landfills. In the present study, the transformation of residues (discarded foundry sand - DFS, grits, and lime mud) in glass-ceramic materials is shown. The glasses were obtained by the melting/cooling method. The precursor materials, glasses, and glass-ceramics were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), and differential scanning calorimetry/thermal gravimetric analysis (DSC/TGA). The glassy materials were milled, pelleted, and thermally treated at the crystallization temperatures given by DSC data to obtain the glass-ceramics (885, 961, and 1090 ºC). The main formed phases were cristobalite, α-wollastonite (parawollastonite), and β-wollastonite (pseudowollastonite). The glass-ceramics showed very low water absorption and apparent porosity (0.26 to 0.88 wt% and 0.66 to 1.77 vol%, respectively). The results confirmed that the studied residues can be used as raw materials for the manufacture of vitreous and glass-ceramic materials.

Organizations remain competitive through investments in technology or changes in the production line, focusing on lean production. In a nutshell, companies evolve by adapting to new ways of work processes. To support innovation and maximize production with better use of inputs, the concept of Lean Manufacturing arose. Originally, Lean Manufacturing appears in the Toyota company, being recognized and used by companies around the world to optimize production processes. This paper discusses the implementation of some Lean Manufacturing tools in a company in the paper industry to identify and eliminate production bottlenecks, optimizing the manufacturing flow. In the form of a case study, methodologically, as an applied research, the Mario Bunge's CESM model (Composition, Environment, Structure and Mechanism) is used for understanding the production process as a system and facilitate the analysis of inherent phenomena. In the 21st century, there is a growing Brazilian academic interest from professors and students in researching realities from Asia, especially in postgraduate courses in Language Arts, Philosophy and Human Science. The paper aims not only to point to a broader panorama of Centers, Nuclei, Programs, Research, Study and Work Groups, Thematic Sessions and Events with Asian themes in the aforementioned academic areas in Brazil, but also to make a brief analysis of the papers carried out in Work Groups and Thematic Sessions of the ANPTECRE and PPCIR (CONACIR) national congresses dedicated to realities of Asian origin, taking into account three criteria, i.e. Religious Studies methodologies used, the genres of authorship, and the religious traditions that were approached by these papers. The nurse is the main link for the patient's adaptation to his health condition. Based on observations, actions and clarifications from the former, the latter can understand what affects their health status, adopt practices or manage the new condition, and even perform self-care. The role modeling theory developed by Helen Erickson, Evelyn Tomlin and Mary Swain portrays the nurse-patient interaction and caring as an instrument for adapting to the health situation. With the objective of knowing the scientific production that applies it in women's health care. An integrative review study was carried out on productions published between 1998 and 2016, in international journals, in English, Spanish and Portuguese, using the VHL Nursing, PubMed and Scopus platforms. Among the articles found, four were selected for analysis that addressed women's health care and the use of theory. It was observed the flexibility of adoption of the same in studies of assistance to the health of the parturient, of the chemical dependent, in addition to the prevention of diseases to the women's health. The proposition of thinking about the Organizational Studies from Latin America (LA) has as its premise to acknowledge that epistemology is political and that there exists an epistemology of domination which is inseparable from its material foundation. First, this essay discusses the meaning of LA, arguing that it is both a geopolitical space and a category of analysis. It then analyzes Organizational Studies in LA from the Brazilian perspective. Finally, the study emphasizes the importance of knowledge based on a critical ethic that contributes to make organizational processes that confront the multiple concrete expressions of coloniality visible, which be also relevant to struggling communities and collectives.

Abstract Eucalyptus globulus is the second most important economic forest species in Chile. Its main use is in the kraft pulp industry, where large amounts of bark waste are generated. Due to its fibrous characteristics, E. globulus bark is proposed as an alternative source of fibres for papermaking. This study focuses on obtaining fibres for liner paper manufacture. A neutral sulphite semi-chemical (NSSC) process was performed, varying the sodium sulphite (5% to 16%) and the sodium carbonate (2% and 4%) concentrations using two reaction temperatures (160°C and 170°C). The NSSC process at 170°C, 16% of sulphite, and 2% of sodium carbonate proved to be the best condition to obtain higher mechanical performance of papers. As the pulping conditions become more drastic, the yield drops, and the physicomechanical properties of paper increases. Results showed that pulps from E. globulus bark could turn into source of fibres for papermaking and other related products.

RESUMEN A lo largo de la segunda mitad siglo XX en la Argentina diferentes actores inscriptos en las instituciones de formación de profesores de Educación Física procuraron promover disimiles discursos y prácticas con el objeto de legitimar en distintas esferas sociales a la disciplina. En esos procesos se establecieron diálogos con diversos saberes científicos constituyéndose lo que los actores de la Educación Física denominaron como “tradiciones disciplinares”, asimismo promovieron desiguales inscripciones dentro del sistema de educación superior. En este artículo profundizaremos en los procesos de configuración de las saberes y prácticas que hicieron a la construcción de la identidad de los profesores de educación física en las décadas de 1970 y 1980. Para ello, analizaremos fuentes primarias y secundarias entre ellas se destacan los planes de estudio y los expedientes administrativos de distintas instituciones de formación. En cada uno de los casos atenderemos a las tramas de construcción de los mismos. El recorrido posibilitará evidenciará que en el período considerado las producciones identitarias de los profesores de educación física comenzarán a pensarse en una relación de necesidad y de tensión entre la investigación y la docencia.

Abstract Insulating paper holds significant importance in the insulation system of power transformers, and thus, its degradation is the subject of many studies. A successful evaluation of the degradation rate of such paper contributes to reducing downtime and avoiding equipment failure. In this work, samples of thermally upgraded paper were thermally aged in insulating natural ester (INE) and insulating mineral oil (IMO) and were evaluated by degree of polymerization (DP) and FTIR-ATR. It was possible to identify characteristic bands of dicyandiamide, an inhibitory compound of the thermal degradation of the paper, and to establish a correlation between the decrease in DP and the consumption of dicyandiamide during aging, which was observed to develop in three distinct steps for both IMO and INE.

The objective of the present work is to evaluate the application of an amphoteric polymer, with acidic and basic groups on the polymer chain, as a paper dry strength additive. The polymer studied here is random terpolymer of high electrostatic charge density, and high molecular weight. The results of our work showed that the balance between the charge densities of the surface and the polymer structures is an important factor to be considered when using this polymer. The highest paper strength value, measured by tensile index, was found at the polyampholyte’s isoelectric point (ca. pH of 7.3) when the charge of the fiber surface was negative and the polymer structure charge was symmetric. This observation agrees with our dynamic light scattering results which, demonstrated that at the isoelectric point there was a maximum in association among polyampholyte molecules, leading to a maximum in size of molecular aggregates. When adsorbed on an electrically charged surface, the maximum amount of adsorbed polymer, measured by the shift in resonance frequency in a quartz crystal microgravimetric balance, was observed for the same isoelectric point. Better results for paper dry strength were found when the fiber surface and the polymer structures were oppositely charged or at the isoelectric point of the polymer. Less effective addition strategies were found in the case when the fiber surfaces and the polymer structures had same sign of charge. DOI: 2446941601022015065

The process of continuously updating technologies, processes, and products has placed innovation at the center of the discussions of different institutions. Once the need to remain competitive, and beyond that, to be at the forefront of these modifications has become something necessary for the survival of organizations, the process of renewing project portfolios, as well as their management, is fundamental to tread the path towards innovation. Several methodologies are available to promote the generation of ideas and enhance the processes already underway. Among these, the Tecnology Roadmap (TRM) is an important tool for collecting ideas, helping in the process of strategic formulation, as well as in the definition of actions related to the planning of new products, processes and technologies. The use of the TRM methodology allowed a company in the metal-mechanic segment to delineate its project portfolio from the collection and prioritization of ideas in a collaborative way. Thus, the hot forming process was considered in 2019 as a process aligned to the company's strategic direction, being prioritized and incorporated to the project portfolio. From the use of test specimens with 22MnB5 hot forming steel with 8.00 mm thickness, through the analysis of cooling rate, microstructure, and microhardness, it was possible to verify satisfactory mechanical and metallurgical behavior, enabling the use of steel for commercial road vehicle structures.
