Abstract
The article discusses the political philosophy and leadership of 20th century Brazilian politician, writer, and theologian, PIínio Salgado, and the Brazilian Integralism movement. Topics discussed include the influence of movements such as the Portuguese Integralismo Lusitano and the French Action Française on the Brazilian Integralism movement, the context of the political and theological thought of Pope Leo XIII, and the impact of Catholic and Portuguese thought on Salgado and the formation of the movement.
