Objective: To analyze the characteristics and potential of mental health care for adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: Study with a qualitative approach carried out with 22 health professionals. Data were collected from semi- structured interviews and participant observation, being analyzed through content analysis. Results: The characteristics of caring for adolescents were the identification of the professional with the stage of adolescence, the use of informal communication and the greater bond between the adolescent and the territory and less stigma. Regarding potential, more time available for care and emotional support for professionals. Conclusion: It emphasizes to health managers the importance of articulating new forms of care for adolescents, since these young people rarely attend services and will be adults with potential repercussions on mental health. Objective: To describe the development of the nursing process in the psychic and emotional dimensions of patients in a general hospital. Methods: Exploratory and qualitative research with the participation of nine nurses from a hospital in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, in 2018. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and submitted to Content Analysis. The phases of the Nursing Process described in Resolution 358/2009 of the Federal Nursing Council were used as an analytical matrix. Results: The participants described the observation, perception, active search in medical records, communication as strategies for collecting nursing data; demonstrated difficulties in using nursing diagnoses, planning and implementing specific care in the psychosocial dimension. Collaborative care with the multiprofessional team was emphasized. They stated that some nursing evaluations were impaired due to the reduced time spent by patients in the services. Conclusion: The development of the nursing process with a focus on the psychological and emotional dimensions in a general hospital is a challenge for nursing. Objective: To describe aspects of obstetric violence experienced during labor and delivery. Methods: Descriptive research, with a qualitative approach, carried out between May and August 2016 in a basic health unit in a municipality in the northern region of Ceará. Participants were pregnant women registered in the territory covered by the unit, who underwent prenatal care with the multidisciplinary service team. A semi-structured interview was conducted addressing socio-demographic, economic and obstetric history, perceptions, experiences and expectations about childbirth. Results: From the transcription of the interviews, with subsequent Content Analysis of the participants' discourse, different forms of obstetric violence were listed, these experienced through communication, care provided and work processes in attendance, violation of rights and violation of Feminine body. Conclusion: The need for health professionals to become aware of changes in routines and the guarantee of care free from situations considered to be obstetric violence is evident, ensuring women during the pregnancy-puerperal cycle. Objective: to know the perception of the parents of the newborns in front of the invasive devices used in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Method: descriptive study with a qualitative approach carried out with ten parents of newborns. The information was collected through a semistructured interview, and analyzed through conventional content analysis. Results: parents' perception of invasive devices was ambivalent, because while some were insecure, distressed, sad, others feel hopeful and happy because they understand their need for survival. Conclusion: the study points to the need to provide support to empower parents by minimizing the negative impact caused by the use of invasive devices in newborns, from effective communication and participation in care. Objective: to describe the planning of inter-hospital transportation of critically ill newborns in ambulance in the perspective of the professionals of the Mobile Emergency Care Service. Methodology: it was a descriptive qualitative study conducted in a Mobile Emergency Care Service of a municipality in the interior of Ceará, Brazil, from November to December 2014. Seventeen workers (physicians, nurses, and drivers) were interviewed and data was submitted to thematic content analysis. Results: the category Structure for performing neonatal transportation addresses the equipment, materials, and vehicle and the one entitled Safety planning in performing neonatal transportation highlights the communication among the teams, verification of materials and vehicle, heating the incubator, planning the displacement, and qualification of professionals. Conclusion: to optimize the planning of neonatal transportation by ambulance, it is necessary to expand the actions and structural resources to ensure a safe and effective transportation.
