ABSTRACT Objective: To report the process of organization and construction of an information technology structure named Nursing Activities Score (NAS) Cloud Technology®. Method: This project was based on the life cycle theory and has enabled the development of technological production through software engineering. Results: The NAS Cloud Technology® was developed for remote and collaborative access on a website hosted by Google Sites® and protected in a business environment by the certified security and data protection devices Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA). In 2015, this system received more than 10.000 submissions/month, totaling 12 care units for critical patients covered by the information technology structure, circa 200 nurses per day involved in the collection and hundreds of daily submissions, integrating the complete transition from paper to cloud. Conclusion: The development of NAS Cloud Technology® system has enabled the use of technology as a facilitating means for the use of Nursing care data, providing tools for decision-making on the nursing personnel sizing required for the care demands in the inpatient care units. The potential of cloud structures stands out due to their possibility of innovation, as well as low-cost access and high replicability of the information system.

The role play in the Cultural Historical perspective is a highly evolved form of play. In it the child reconstitutes social activity and tries to represent it, reproducing the concrete activity of people in their relationships and diversity. Therefore, the themes of the games can be varied and changeable depending on the objective situations in which the child participates. As a dominant activity of the preschool age, role play can foster children's psychic development. Thus, the objective of this study is to investigate the influence of organized spaces and the insertion of new themes in social role play. Method: 25 children from four to five years of age participated in the Municipal Infantile Education of the city of Bauru- SP. The observational and descriptive analysis was adopted. Results: The data generated by graphs 1 and 2 and tables 1, 2, 3 demonstrate, above all, that the theme and the argument of the play enabled an advance in the levels of development of role play after the study of the theme and performance of roles in Spaces.

ABSTRACT Objective: To present some criteria, many of which were created in the form of a checklist of items to be considered throughout the review process. Furthermore, we present a study whose main objective was to build (and validate) a review instrument by specialists that is clear, comprehensive, concise and consistent with the highest standards of excellence. Method: We use a survey to collect data (123 answers). To analyze the open answers we use the technique of content analysis through the Qualitative Data Analysis Software. Results: Besides the creation of new criteria with a focus on methodological dimensions based on 12 items, the involvement of the Ibero-American Congress on Qualitative Research scientific committee in the validation of this instrument. Conclusion: This option, in line with the others described, will allow to implement improvements to the editions of the events using the Qualitative Research Evaluation Tool in 2018.

Neste último número de 2015, registramos alguns acontecimentos importantes que marcaram nossa trajetória e nossos esforços na consolidação do campo da Alimentação e Nutrição no Brasil como espaço caracteristicamente interdisciplinar. Alcançamos todas as metas editoriais que nos colocamos: a periodicidade está em dia; publicamos quatro números no ano; há 20 artigos no último número. Em termos numéricos, chegamos ao patamar exigido para indexação em bases de dados internacionais consideradas pelas principais agências de fomento brasileiras como referência para cálculo de indicadores de circulação no campo da ciência. E 2016 será o ano em que daremos início aos movimentos para solicitar a inserção de nosso periódico nesses espaços. Esse movimento está sendo possível, em especial, por conta da crescente presença de pesquisadores em programas de pós-graduação, juntamente com seus orientandos, como autores de artigos em nossa revista. Hoje, Demetra é a segunda revista brasileira no campo alimentar-nutricional mais utilizada para publicação de artigos por pesquisadores dos programas de pós-graduação inseridos na área de avaliação “Nutrição” da CAPES. Os pesquisadores do campo alimentar-nutricional estão apostando na revista, investindo em sua consolidação, vendo nela um caminho a ser trilhado. É um importante reconhecimento do nosso trabalho! OBJETIVO: Caracterizar la frecuencia y tipo de uso de teorías o modelos citados en artículos publicados en una revista latinoamericana de salud publica entre los años 2000 y 2004. MÉTODOS: Se escogió la Revista de Saúde Pública por su historia de publicación periódica sin interrupción e impacto actual en la comunicación científica del área. Se aplicó un procedimiento estándar para leer los artículos y clasificarlos en una tipología arbitraria de cuatro niveles según la profundidad del uso dado a los referentes teóricos o modelos citados en los textos para describir asuntos o problemas abordados, formular métodos y discutir a rigor los hallazgos comunicados. RESULTADOS: Se leyeron 482 artículos: 421 (87%) investigaciones, 42 (9%) revisiones o especiales y 19 (4%) textos de opinión o reflexión. En las 421 investigaciones, 286 (68%) tuvieron enfoque cuantitativo, 110 (26%) cualitativo y 25 (6%) mixtos. La cita de teorías o modelos fue infrecuente; 90 (19%) artículos revisados citan algun referente. Según la profundidad de uso 29 (6%) de los 90 fueron tipo I, 9 (1,9%) tipo II, 6 (1,3%) tipo III y 46 (9,5%), tipo IV. CONCLUSIONES: La citación de modelos fue nueve veces más frecuente que la de alguna teoría; el uso ideal, el tipo IV, ocurrió en apenas uno de cada diez artículos analizados. Hay relevancia de explicitar los marcos teóricos y modelos usados al abordar temas, formular hipótesis, diseñar métodos y discutir hallazgos en las contribuciones de las revistas científicas del área.OBJETIVO: Caracterizar a freqüência e tipo de uso de teorias ou modelos citados em artigos publicados em uma revista latino-americana de saúde pública entre os anos 2000 e 2004. Foi aplicado um procedimento padrão para ler e classificar os artigos de acordo com tipologia de quatro níveis, segundo a profundidade de uso dado aos referenciais teóricos ou modelos citados nos textos para descrever assuntos ou problemas abordados, formular métodos e discutir a rigor os achados comunicados. RESULTADOS: Foram lidos 482 artigos: 421 (87%) investigações, 42 (9%) revisões ou especiais e 19 (4%) textos de opinião ou reflexão. Nas 421 investigações, 286 (68%) tiveram enfoque quantitativo, 110 (26%) qualitativo e 25 (6%) mistos. A menção a teorias ou modelos não foi freqüente; apenas 90 (19%) dos artigos revisados citavam alguma teoria ou modelo. Segundo a profundidade de uso, 29 (6%) dos 90 foram tipo I, 9 (1,9%) tipo II, 6 (1,3%) tipo III e 46 (9,5%), tipo IV. METHODS: The Revista de Saúde Pública was chosen because of its history of periodic publication without interruption and current impact on the scientific communication of the area. A standard procedure was applied for reading and classifying articles in an arbitrary typology of four levels, according to the depth of the use of models or theoretical references to describe problems or issues, to formulate methods and to discuss results. RESULTS: Of 482 articles included, 421 (87%) were research studies, 42 (9%) reviews or special contributions and 19 (4%) opinion texts or assays . Of 421 research studies, 286 (68%) had a quantitative focus, 110 (26%) qualitative and 25 (6%) mixed. Reference to theories or models is uncommon, only 90 (19%) articles mentioned a theory or model. According to the depth of the use, 29 (6%) were classified as type I, 9 (2%) as type II, 6 (1.3%) were type III and the 46 remaining texts (9.5%) were type IV. CONCLUSIONS: Reference to models was nine-fold more frequent than the use of theoretical references. The ideal use, type IV, occurred in one of every ten articles studied. It is of relevance to show theoretical and models frames used when approaching topics, formulating hypothesis, designing methods and discussing findings in papers.

Buscando publicações sobre educação profissional em enfermagem constatou-se que pouco se escreve a respeito. Considerando que a força de trabalho na enfermagem é constituída por profissionais de nível médio e a competência de sua formação é do enfermeiro, optou-se por levantar e caracterizar as publicações relacionadas ao ensino médio de enfermagem no Brasil. Os resultados mostraram a concentração das publicações na região sudeste, sendo os autores, enfermeiros atuantes em instituição de ensino. Os conteúdos abordaram temas emergentes do período relacionadas à qualificação pessoal, suas implicações educacionais, legais e políticas e sobre o processo ensino aprendizagem.On reviewing the Brazilian literature between 1988-1998 about the professional education of auxiliares de enfermagem and técnicos de enfermagem, professionals that develop activities similar to those carried out by nursing aides and practical nurses, it was observed that not much is available. Considering that the workforce related to those two groups is made up of professionals whose educational level is that of high school, and that nurses are responsible for their education, we decided to review and analyze the literature related to the education of those professionals in Brazil. Findings show that papers are published mainly in the southeastern part of the country. Most authors are professionals working in educational institutions. The papers addressed issues related to personal qualification, its implications on educational, legal, and political aspects, and its impact on the teaching-learning process.

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) proposed this international historical cohort study trying to solve the controversy about the increased risk of cancer in the workers of the Pulp and Paper Industry. One of the most important aspects presented by this study in Brazil was the strategies used to overcome the methodological challenges, such as: data access, data accuracy, data availability, multiple data sources, and the large follow-up period. Through multiple strategies it was possible to build a Brazilian cohort of 3,622 workers, to follow them with a 93 percent success rate and to identify in 99 percent of the cases the cause of death. This paper, has evaluated the data access, data accuracy and the effectiveness of the strategies used and the different sources of data.

Objective: The purpose of this study is to present a methodology for assessing patients’ demands and calculating pre-test probabilities using paper forms in Primary Care. Method: Most developing countries do not use Electronic Health Records (EHR) in primary care settings. This makes it difficult to access information regarding what occurs within the health center working process. Basically, there are two methodologies to assess patients’ demands and problems or diagnosis stated by doctors. The first is based on single attendance at each appointment, while the second is based on episodes of care; the latter deals with each problem in a longitudinal manner. The methodology developed in this article followed the approach of confronting the ‘reason for the appointment’ and ‘the problem registered’ by doctors. Paper forms were developed taking this concept as central. All appointments were classified by the International Classification of Primary Care (ICPC). Discussion: Even in paper form, confrontation between ‘reason for the appointment’ and ‘problem registered’ is useful for measuring the pre-test probabilities of each problem-based appointment. This approach can be easily reproduced in any health center and enables a better understanding of population profile. Prevalence of many illnesses and diseases are not known in each reality, and studies conducted in other settings, such as secondary and tertiary care, are not adequate for primary health care. Conclusion: This study offers adequate technology for primary health care workers that have potential to transform each health center into a research-led practice, contributing directly to patient care.

Este artigo objetiva identificar as associações das morbidades comuns e dos acidentes de trabalho com setor, descrevendo as cargas de trabalho e realizando um amplo controle de fatores de confusão. Através de delineamento transversal, estudou-se a totalidade dos trabalhadores de uma indústria de celulose e papel (n=671). Realizaram-se entrevistas nesta indústria, caracterizando a percepção dos trabalhadores sobre as exposições ocupacionais e a morbidade. A área industrial caracterizou-se pelo excesso de problemas auditivos (RO>2,5), respiratórios (RO>2,7) e acidentes (RO>4,7), possivelmente relacionados com ruído, poeira, mudanças bruscas de temperatura e exposições a substâncias químicas, além do trabalho físico pesado e exposições a situações de risco. A administração apresentou um aumento de problemas nos olhos, dor nas costas, irritação e nervosismo (RO>1,7), que parecem ter relação com a falta de autonomia e criatividade no trabalho, problemas ergonômicos e esforço visual. Confirmaram-se não só as altas prevalências de morbidades comuns, mas também sua relação com as particularidades do processo de trabalho sintetizadas pela categoria setor.The purpose of this study was to identify associations between common morbidity and work accidents and the respective departments in a pulp and paper industry, describing work loads and performing broad control of potential confounding factors. We studied all the workers from a specific pulp and paper industry, using a cross-sectional design and interviews at the workplace (n=671) with a standardized questionnaire. We characterized workers' perceptions of their occupational exposures and health problems. The industrial area had an excess in auditory problems (OR>2.5) and respiratory problems (OR>2.7) as well as accidents (OR>4.7). These diseases were probably related to the high prevalence of noise, dust, sudden temperature changes, exposure to various chemicals, and excessive effort and high-risk situations. Moreover, the management group showed an excess in eye problems, backache, irritation, and nervousness (OR>1.7), apparently related to lack of autonomy and creativeness at work, ergonomic problems, and strained eyesight. The study confirmed not only a high prevalence of common diseases, but also their relationship to specific features of the work process indicated by each department category.
