Nesse sentido, a classificação de trabalhos acadêmicos apresenta-se como importante para o mapeamento dos rumos em que o Marketing vem sendo trabalhado ao longo dos últimos anos no Brasil, assim como para o levantamento de tendências da área. Entender as características da compra organizacional é essencial para a criação de programas eficazes de marketing que atinjam os compradores deste mercado. Isso porque tais compradores não se comportam como os de mercado de consumo, apesar do objetivo na realização da compra ser o mesmo em ambos os casos – satisfazer uma necessidade. Os objetivos e as políticas singulares de uma organização estabelecem restrições especiais na tomada de decisão do comprador organizacional (KERIN et al., 2007). Este estudo buscou identificar os artigos da área de Marketing Business-to-Business (B2B) publicados nos EnANPADs, RAE, RAC, READ e RAUSP no período de 1998 a 2007, verificando, apesar da pequena quantidade de trabalhos realizados, o número tem aumentado e, seguindo a tendência da literatura, as pesquisas estão se concentrando na área de marketing de relacionamento entre empresas.The Marketing discipline is influenced by several areas like Economics, Sociology and Psychology. However, it's still looking for an own theory. The scientific classification of papers becomes an important tool to find the way Marketing has been studied on last years in Brazil, as well as to find trends in this area. Understanding the organizational buying characteristics is mandatory in order to create efficient marketing programs that meet industry's buyers. This occurs because those buyers don't have the same behavior as individual consumers, despite the goal of a buying operation be the same - satisfaction of a need. The goals and politics of a particular organization offer restrictions on buying decision of organizational buyer. (KERIN et al., 2007). So, this paper tried to identify Business-to-Business (B2B) Marketing work published on EnANPADs, RAE, RAC, READ e RAUSP between 1998 and 2007. Results point that, despite the small amount of papers, the number is increasing and, following the literature trend, research are focusing on organizational relationship marketing.

In this paper, we aim to make a rescue of some historical landmarks founders productivity at work and in education to better understand the logic legitimizes reaching the core of the teaching activity. The advance of the criteria on the productive worker training has its first expressions in the 1940s, even during the dictatorship of the Estado Novo. Firstly, we make a brief presentation of the concept of productivity; after that, some of its founders landmarks in the history of the country are shown, and, lastly, there is a presentation of the particularity of one of these landmarks: the presence of CBAI (Brazilian-American Commission of Industrial Education .)

As the title reveals, this paper points out the roles that have been assigned to teachers, acknowledging the increasing complexity of scholar education, in order to enhance the aspects to attend in teachers ́ training. The aims of this paper are, therefore, as follows: defining knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the teaching work; putting in perspective the components and procedures of teachers ́ training. Referring to these aims and basing upon the roles that have been assigned to the school and the teachers in Portugal in the last four decades,this paper builds up a reflection on the aspects to look for on teacher’s training.

It argues that it is up to the educator to develop critical-reflexive dimension, exploring themes of motivation and proximity to the real conditions of existential and experiential learners, prompt the mentality of the research and the pursuit of knowledge autonomously, demonstrate the causes and reasons of oppression, motivate dialogue and hear what the students have to say and take their ethical responsibility to citizenship clarified.

The results show the main features of each item of the model dimensions, whether in the legal, voluntary and discretionary categories, which allows the company to assess its results, diagnose opportunities and challenges and manage their weaknesses, manage theirsocial activitiesso thatstakeholders have an accurate understanding of reality and have their needs properly understood.

The aim of the paper is to investigate teachers’ perceptions of an undergraduate course at an university in Rio de Janeiro on the possible existence of a joint enterprise. This particular course was chosen because it was highly evaluated in terms of infrastructure, teaching staff and pedagogical organization by the educational authorities in Brazil, and had good results in learning standardized tests at ENADE (Exame Nacional de Desempenho). The first part of the paper presents the contribution of authors working with communities of practice and joint enterprises. The second session describes the methodology employed. The concluding session shows the analysis and the categories that contribute to affirm the existence of the joint enterprise, like knowledge dissemination and academic update. This study expects to contribute to future researchers to confirm existence of communities of practice among teachers.

The Revista de Administração da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (ReA/UFSM), founded in 2008, is an online publication of the Departamento de Ciências Administrativas of Centro de Ciências Sociais e Humanas from UFSM. The ReA/UFSM is gaining its place in academiaas an important vehicle for dissemination of publications in the business area. In this sense, this study aimed at analyzing the scientific publications of ReA/UFSM, in the period from 2008 to 2011. Thus, we analyzed all papers published in the periodic, in the last four years, representing 113 studies. Among the main results, it was found that the papers analyzed are mostly empirical, exploratory in nature, with qualitative approach predominantly. The analyzed data allow present an overview of the publications of ReA/UFSM, in the period from 2008 to 2011, enabling to defined new perspectives and challenges for the periodic.

The paper aims to investigate potential tensions between local and global context of contemporary ruralities, emphasizing the times, rhythms and spaces constructed from the experiences of teachers and students in the organization of the routines of rural schools. The paper presents theoretical considerations resulting from two studies in the Graduate Program in Education and Contemporary - PPGEduC / UNEB. The clipping and analysis undertaken focus on education developed in rural areas and tensions present in this context in view, discuss issues concerning the new ruralities contemporary. This discussion has as its central theme the issues of timing and the rhythm in schools with multigrade classes Island Tide that articulates with dilemmas and tensions surrounding the experience lived by teachers of geography of the city engaged in teaching in rural areas in semi-arid region of Bahia. Research has pointed to difficulties faced by rural school to consider the different temporalities that exist in rural areas in their educational processes, as well as difficulties of articulation in these contexts of learning, between the local-global dimensions through which passes the contemporary space. This movement creates stress for teachers’ work, since it complicates the relationship between the times established, standardized and rigid, with times of personal students and teachers, covering aspects such as age, life histories, movements and experiences socio-historical and geographical subjects involved in the processes of teaching and learning in rural settings in contemporary times.

The term organizational slack is sometimes recognized as the excess resources in an organization. Since this term does not have a clear definition, it has accumulated over the years concepts of various authors through scientific publications. This study aims to examine the approaches to organizational slack in the context of research papers published in international scientific journals. To do so, a theoretical essay was performed based on international publications making reference to the term organizational slack. The antecedents of organizational slack, a total of 43 papers were analyzed according to the classification proposed by Sharfman et al. (1988), three levels of analysis: industry, organization and interest groups. The study results show that research on organizational slack have varied and evolving concepts and that the approaches to innovation and strategy are key points for research related to the topic, as they were the most found in the literature. However, the measurement of these types of resources slack is still an obscure point in the research developed. The studies of Cyert and March (1963), Bourgeois III (1981), Sharfman et al. (1988), Gulati and Nohria (1996) are branching out to other aspects of the organization. Though, it was concluded that research on definition of organizational slack and its relations with organizational environment aspects are evolving and signal further wider discussion in international scientific journals.O termo folga organizacional é reconhecido, algumas vezes, como o excesso de recursos empregados em uma organização. Como esse termo não tem uma definição propriamente dita, vem, ao longo dos anos, agregando conceitos de vários autores através de publicações científicas. Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar as abordagens sobre folga organizacional no contexto das pesquisas publicadas em periódicos científicos internacionais. Para tal, foi realizado um ensaio teórico considerando publicações em âmbito internacional, tendo como referência o termo folga organizacional. Os antecedentes de folga organizacional, num total de 43 artigos identificados, foram analisados segundo a classificação proposta por Sharfman et al. (1988), em três níveis de análise: indústria, organização e grupos de interesse. Os resultados do estudo mostram que as pesquisas sobre folga organizacional apresentam conceitos diversos e evolutivos e que as abordagens sobre inovação e estratégia são pontos-chave para as pesquisas relacionadas ao tema, pois foram as mais encontradas na literatura. Por outro lado, a mensuração desses tipos de folga de recursos ainda são pontos obscuros nas pesquisas desenvolvidas. Estudos como os de Cyert e March (1963), Bourgeois III (1981), Sharfman et al. (1988), Nohria e Gulati (1996) estão se ramificando para outros aspectos da organização. Assim conclui-se que pesquisas sobre definição de folga organizacional e de suas relações com aspectos do ambiente organizacional estão evoluindo e sinalizam discussões mais amplas em periódicos científicos internacionais.

The Information System (IS) field is searching for its consolidation to become a reference subject, in order to that it is necessary a scientific rigor of the researches. Consequently, the interests in the analyses of the methodological rigor of the national and international studies of this field are growing. In this way, the aim of this paper is to present a survey of the methodologies and strategies used in publications of the Information Administration thematic area – Information System of the Socio cultural impacts of the ENANPAD, from 2003 to 2007. In order to get the proposed aim, the descriptive method (a bibliographic research) was adopted in this study. Through the analysis of 52 papers of the area, the predominance of the empirical studies (92%) were found in comparison to theory ones (8%). Furthermore, the qualitative approach represented the preference of the researchers in 50%, and the case study was the most used way of research. In relation to the nature, the descriptive and exploratory researches had the most relevant percentages, and the questionnaire was the instrument of data collect preferentially adopted. It was verified that just few studies had used multimethods in their surveys and that they go deep and complement the study.

This paper is the result of a Master's dissertation linked to the training of educators research line, at PPGED-UFS[i].The general objective of this study was to describe the position of Arts teachers in the face of their continuing training process. Its specific objectives are: to characterize pedagogical problems with regard to Arts teaching, with emphasis on their origin and how teachers solve them; to understand the connection that these teachers establish with regard to the multivalence of artistic languages; and to relate these issues with the professional life cycle with the aspect of motivation and demand for the realization of the different modalities of continuing training. The research is configured in a qualitative - descriptive approach. The instruments used to collect qualitative data were 30 questionnaires with closed questions and 10 semi-structured interviews. The theoretical basis of this research is organized from the understanding of continuing training as a deontological element of the teaching profession and the characterization of the teaching of the curricular component Arts. The results obtained demonstrate several aspects that may affect the planning of training practices aimed at Arts teachers.

This paper presents a case study on the teaching of the visual arts in an attempt to understand the process of constructing a perspective of intercultural education in this school discipline in Colégio Pedro II. Through the analysis of curricular documents and interviews with teachers, in interlocution with the critical intercultural education and decolonization referenced in post-abyssal thought, it was verified that the construction of the intercultural perspective in the first segment of Elementary Education, produced in dialogue with the pedagogy of visual culture and the intercultural teaching of the visual arts, has occurred amid tensions and disputes with the defenders of the conception of traditional art education centered in the work of art, established predominantly in the second segment of Elementary Education. The final reflections point to the challenge of constructing a project of intercultural training of teachers of visual arts in friction with the Eurocentric systematization of art history that presides over the curricula of this discipline in basic school and in the courses of initial formation of teachers / at.

This text aims to show, from a practical study developed in a K-12 Education school in Brazil, how the individual experience of proprioception can be assumed as a collective experience. The paper describes an experiment based on exercises from the corporeal pedagogy of François Delsarte (1811-1871), establishing relations with Somatic Education. The answers provided by female and male students who filled out the study questionnaires are analyzed, transcribing their perceptions, remarkably those referring to breathing and weight sensation. Lastly, it is presented a reflection on the meanings that could be gathered from the notion of collective (and in common) based on the experience of proprioception in the school pedagogic work.

A self-evaluation survey is one of the basic tools used by every higher education institution for the purpose of identifying and improving the quality of its educational services. A relevant segment of the self-evaluation procedure is the work of the HE teacher; the assessment is provided via a survey filled in by each course student’s attendants respectively. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to show the advantages and disadvantages of the students’ survey as a part of the self-evaluation process at the “Sv. Kliment Ohridski” University in Bitola, Republic of Macedonia. The research has a qualitative paradigm, i.e. the twelve survey statements within this survey are analyzed regarding the impact they have on the validity and objectivity of the results to be provided about the HE teachers’ work quality, and regarding their relevance in the multidimensional teaching construct. The research has also a quantitative paradigm, i.e. an analysis of the opinions of 100 HE teachers of this University about the effects of the students’ survey answers on their teaching, and an analysis of 200 students of this University about the efficiency of the survey they fill in. The research has a descriptive design. The methods used for processing the data and for gaining conclusions consist of analyses, syntheses and comparison. The research results indicate that besides the advantages, this students’ survey has numerous disadvantages that should be taken into account because they influence both the validity and the objectivity of the grade given to the HE teachers’ work. It consequently imposes the need for urgent revision of the survey questions.

The objective of this paper is to discuss the changes in the public management models and the implications for educational management. We assumed that the standard of management of public institutions changes as the restructuring of capitalism and its constant crises. The study makes reference to three management models, namely: bureaucratic management, democratic management and the business management. Concludesthat in public administration there is a predominance of model management business management and bureaucratic management, which has not yet been surpass. However, contradictorily, the democratic management is present in the educational legislation, due to the struggle of workers in this area, but unfolds very thin and embryonic form in the public schools.

In this paper we discusses the importance of the childish education teachers clearly know about the meaning and the sense of the play activities with children 0 a 6 years old. This is part of doctor thesis from among of goals, one of them was to unveil the meaning and sense of the play activities attributed by childish education teachers. Part of the methodology used in the research involved interview with five childish education teachers who participated of a course about o theme and, so, video-records about yours routines and activities with the children. The results denote that the meaning and sense attributed by these teachers at to propose play activities for the children are connected to understanding of this activity as generating of the learns for this ages and, therefore, it needs to be developed with pleasure. The changes in the practices with the children are attribute to the courses which the teachers change experiences, discusses problems, suggest solutions and enlarge the possibilities about yours practices with children, which can to mean the improvement of the childish education quality. This paper presents the report of an investigation whose aim was to know the focus on Science teaching in initial series of elementary school and to understand the contributions of teacher’s participation in study groups for transformation of teaching practice in Sciences classes. It’s believed that the role of teachers is to give to their students opportunities for construction/reconstruction of knowledge. Thus, there is essential that teachers keep themselves in constant training The study was conducted with teachers of initial series (to 1st from 4th) from a school from the Rio Grande do Sul (RS) state in the 2006 / 2007 period. A qualitative analysis methodology was employed in this study, and data was obtained in the natural environment, namely,the school. Through Discoursive Textual Analysis (MORAES and GALIAZZI, 2007) about the data that was collected, it was concluded that the study groups can contribute to transformation and to development of pedagogical teacher’s practice, particularly in regard to Sciences classes, as well on student learning, ie the construction of their knowledge. It has been observed a growth of the group in the course of the meetings, not only by the concern of the teachers in changing their classes, but also to taking the necessary decisions to make it possible.

This paper presents some preliminaries results of a research that investigates the representations about race, color, Difference, Prejudgment and Racial Discrimination of the school’s agents teachers, employees and students) on the quotidian of the History’s, Portuguese’s and Art’s classes of the first two year of the secondary education of a Belém-PA’s private school, in order to understand the place of the black people in the school pedagogic practices, regarding the obligation of touching racial subjects as established by the low 10.639/2003. Using the methodological and theoretic approach of Pierre Bourdieu and Roger Chartier, we analyzed the representations obtained by the non-participative observation in those classes. We realized that teachers almost didn’t know anything about the low 10.639/2003 and about the ethnic and racial question on Brazil, what brings as result the reproduction of racial prejudgment and discrimination by the students. Our analysis aims, from understanding the problems with teacher development, to understand the problems related to the ethnic and racial question at school and propose solutions.

We have seen a huge investment in technological resources in education recently. It is internationally recognized that Portugal is one of the European leaders in making technology accessible to schools. However, there is doubt in regards to the effectiveness and efficiency of these investments. When evaluating technological projects, problems in teachers’ education and in the methodologies are often found.This paper aims to provide a better understanding about the true role of technology in education and also to present some guidance so that its integration can occur within a higher level of educational intentionality.

This paper shows some of the challenges faced by university professors, who are increasingly subjected to work with the individual differences in Higher Education institutions. The starting point for this research are the programs used to access Higher Education, developed by a group of Community Universities in southern Brazil. A theoretical perspective that considers language as constitutive, not just representational, is adopted, thus knowledge and people are built. The methodology used was documentary analysis. It has been argued that only access programs are not enough to guarantee the students permanence in the Universities. It is intended to show with the analyze that, by narrating about these students, we do not see them like problems, but we consider them possibilities, thus it is probable thatother forms of experiencing inclusion in the University and other students are going to be produced.

The aim of this paper was to analyze the possible profile (s) of the of the paulista public school principal, questioning the literature in the area, public service exams and policy guidelines, ambos from the state, in a historical perspective. The findings allowed us to state that, despite advances in the 1980s, mainly regarding the denial of business Administration and the incentive for the construction of a theoretical body proper to school Administration, what predominates in more recent years is the non-initial training of the school principal and a performance based on the “manager”. The achieved advances found real (and pragmatic) barriers when this examined principal is submitted to continued training courses and to legislation that determine a managerial profile, emptied of other possibilities for not dialoguing with an alternative strengthened initial training regarding what is received daily from higher courts.

The paper presents part of the research called From family logic to school logic: paths and perspectives in children education. This study, as a qualitative approach of etnographic nature, started from the principle that a researcher must be inserted in the social field of the investigation. In this perspective, we tried to stablish the space for dialogue between schools and families, provoking an attentive “listening”, as well as an opportunity to discuss the pluralism of logic and culture of families, and deepen the knowledge about its relations in the educational context. The research pointed out to the necessity of comprehend relationship strategies created by schools, detaching how the confrontation (THIN, 1998) between family and school logic enables the creation of relationship strategies that qualify a school as a place for childcare and education.

This paper discusses the animality while intrinsic quality of the human. Attempts to their potential as sensitive formative sphere and defends it as a way to create alternative modes of subjectification. Seeks to unveil some natural conditioning inherent to the moral standards. Nietzsche (2005) and Schiller (2002) help to situate the genesis of morality and the human motivations that lead to socialization. Guattari (1992, 2003) contributes to the foundation of an alternative paradigm of subjectification regarding the topic animality. This paradigm seeks to give rise to subjectification ways heterogeneous and open to the absolute otherness, sphere of infinites subjectivizing alternatives. Finally, suggests that the animality be reconsidered as element of exponentiation of the sensitivity in Education.

This paper discusses various experiments that reveal understandings, dilemmas and eases on the issue of gender and sexuality in teacher’s training. Mainly through a post-structuralist theoretical perspective, here it is discussed the author’s experiences regarding reports (their contexts and meanings) that have been collected during his work as a university professor, researcher in the field of gender and sexuality and militant towards sexual diversity. With these educational practices reflected theoretically, it is concluded that a possible way to start thinking teacher education and issues of gender and sexuality is from strangeness to transgressions in classrooms, let emerge the difference and think about it critically in search of experiences not lived yet and not necessarily in search of a respect for diversity.

Through this paper we question the need for discussion of the agrarian question conflictualities with the youth field. This need is justified because of two arguments: the continuous recognition and collective union and educational principle in mobilization and peasant resistance and also the act permanent researcher in knowing the peasant reality in an effort to promote the effective field of educational research. Therefore, we need to understand the concept of conflict and field education as a practice intrinsic to educational research in the field.

The central objective of this study was to list and discuss the advantages of Collaborative / Cooperative Learning (CL) as a proposed increase in undergraduate education (Higher Education) in Brazil. The main theoretical reference adopted was the line of study of Alcantara et al. Based on the considerations presented in this article, it is possible to conclude that CL is feasible, dynamic and current, and provides numerous opportunities for successful experiences for learning. The students’ training occurs in participatory, articulate, reflective, and socially contextualized way, contributing to the formation of thorough professionals, who understand their role in society. This present paper contributes to the dissemination and spread of CL to a larger number of higher educational institutions in Brazil.

In this paper we propose a reflection on the challenge of school to work the question of knowledge in the form of a subject and the need of rebinding the knowledge. Among the many tasks that historically have always been tasks of school education, there is the commitment to transmission and production of knowledge. When referring to the school as a privileged agency dealing with the issue of knowledge, many implications arising from this statement are faced. It is sought to interpret these implications and possibilities in the light of the contributions of the principles of complexity theory due to the understanding that this paradigmatic matrix one of the privileged references for understanding the process of production of relevant knowledge, i.e., a knowledge that, while it distinguish itself, seeks to promote the rebinding of knowledge.

Researches about volatility transmission between small and large company stocks had received great attention in last years. Based on this idea, the current paper aims to analyze the occurrence of volatility transmission between small and large companies in Brazil. To that, we estimate multivariate GARCH models. As asset proxies we used the Small and Mid-Large cap BM&F/Bovespa index. Results allow concluding that large company stocks impact the small stocks conditional volatility. However, the relationship does not maintain it in reverse direction. This result is in accord with the addressed subject.

Balanced Scorecard has not yet been tested in Brazilian small-scale municipalities. The BSC is based on dimensions of Learning and Growth, Internal Processes Business, Financial and Customer. In order to fit to public organizations it needs some adjustments due to these organizations’ objectives. This paper presents a case study focusing on municipalities from Brazil. Data has been collected by action research and analysed by qualitative analysis. The analysis indicates that the BSC can be successfully implemented in small-scale municipalities. It soundly depends on Mayor’s leadership and staff’s engagement. The way the intervention is conducted is also important. By keeping it as easier as possible, employees are more able to participate and to collaborate in the process.

The aim of this paper is to review the literature on microfinance organizations and discuss theoretical and methodological shortcomings, highlighting the innovations and challenges for financial inclusion of low-income populations. It is noticed that despite the microfinance organizations present significant advances in operational terms, mainly in lending methodologies through mechanisms of selection and monitoring consistent with their socio-political aims, they collide in the dilemma between financial viability and expand its social base toward the poorest.

It shows results of a survey that aimed to know the ways of appropriation of film at school by the educators of adult education. To understand that question, it was analyzed the content of the speech of teachers and observed some teaching practice in which film was used. From the analysis of collected data, it was concluded that educators have appropriated and used film like illus - tration of the curriculum contents and of the subjects studied, cha - racterizing the use of film as an additional and secondary resource in activities of school.

Considering the importance of the theoretical assumptions that un - derlie the practice of integral education inside the history of Bra - zilian education, it is essential to comprehend it in its entirety to understand its proposals and how they contribute to social change and to a complete formation of new generations. Therefore, this paper aims to understand the possible approaches between the concept of integral education and the historical-critical perspective developed by the educator Dermeval Saviani, correlating both with the extended school day. It was used the literature research to do an analysis of a theory developed by authors who approach themselves by having the same ideal of integral education. It was expected to contribute to discussions on the implementation of educational po - licy of integral education in a full time, buoyed by historical-critical perspective.

School psychology is dedicated to integrate actions that can facilitate the process of learning and development of scholar community. The psychologist has the function of reviewing his or her own professional concepts and practices constantly so that he or she can deal with the complexity of this reality, broadening the concept of school complaints in order to identify other factors associated with these complaints. This paper presents a report on the interventions done during an internship of school psychology at an Elementary School in the countryside of RS. It was noticed an initial necessity of awareness about the psychologist role and about a greateracceptance of a job that could not be just clinical. The practice of the psychologist and of the psychology intern in this context were discussed and related to education and health in a broad sense.

The main objective of this paper is to analyze the characteristics of the strategic people management, the strategy of retention of professional and of obtaining of organizational commitment, by taking up basis the case of Caulim da Amazônia S.A. – CADAM/Pará Pigmentos S.A. – PPSA and seeking to answer the question: what are the characteristics of the strategic management of people, focusing on retention strategy of professional and obtaining of organizational commitment in their peculiarities of remote organizational structure? The research subjects are directors, managers, HR professionals, supervisors and coordinators of units Ipixuna, Monte Dourado and Barcarena, located in northern region of Brazil, for a total of thirty-six respondents. The results show, at the interfaces of the three units, traits that unite people in all these places and around the same purpose: to retain talented professionals. One could say that, it becomes possible to identify the peculiarities that leads to commitment of people with the organizational objectives, these organizational structures, from the strategic approach of people management. The retention of professionals is conditioned on adaptive capacity of these professionals and their families in these regions.

The purpose of this paper is to present how innovation networks can be used to develop a new product or service, using the marketing compound. The study methodology consists of an exploratory research from literature review on this subject. After an initial discussion of the characteristics of innovation networks and marketing functions, the study presents proposals that allow adequately addressing the main difficulties in the management of marketing in innovation networks. Through this study it can be stated that these networks have been identified as an attractive alternative for the development of new products, when using the marketing mix, given the dynamics of the contemporary market. Innovation networks bring a lot of benefits to companies that embrace the relationship between these networks and marketing. The discussion reveals that the structure in the form of innovation networks can bring effective results in the organization which adopt it, providing competitiveness and adaptability in the face of its target market.

Managers are the outcomes of production systems rationality designed. The manager as outcome is a mix of knowledge, skills and behavior pattern whose utility is directly proportional to the consistency of your professional formation, just the production systems rationality designed. Thus, this paper aims to present a systematic evaluation of learning based on managerial process functions: planning, organization, directing and control. It consist of ten steps: definition of knowledge to be evaluate; definition of skills to be evaluate; choosing of test framework; writing of questions; definition of test solution norms; evaluation pre-test; testing; organization of data; evaluation of results; and analyzing the causes of failure and replanning. The results show that manager formation process can be optimized if higher education institutions use the system in accordance with the course objectives.

The present paper had as objective to map the Brazilian scientific production on Technology and Innovation Management (GTI) in the period 2001-2011, in view of identifying (i) the total number to published articles, as well as the number in each of the years; (ii, iii, iv and v) journals, authors, institutions and states that have most published articles. This study is justified because literature says that GTI studies may help countries to achieve higher levels of entrepreneurial innovation and technology performance, since these studies are absorbed by the companies and innovation incentive agencies. Thus, knowing how scientific production has been occurring in the country is an aspect of relevance for the governmental agencies that incentive entrepreneurial innovation in the country. This knowledge is also important for researchers, due to several other reasons. The mapping was made through a bibliometric method. The results show that the Brazilian scientific production on GTI is not very large, in terms of number, and it is too concentrated (in terms of institutions and territory), factors that certainly hinder the dissemination and rooting of an innovation culture in Brazil. From the results, it was also possible to verify that in the locations where GTI scientific production is more strongly concentrated the levels of technological, economic and social development are quite higher than the national average, which elucidates the mentioned relevance of the GTI scientific production.

This paper questions the possibility of releasing the subjectivity, in the tension between life and work, which constitutes the professional qualification. It analyzes the similarities between training and work, towards a self-awareness and social consciousness in the context of culture. This study also notes how the concept of competence points to training processes aimed at mere adaptation to the capitalist logic, reducing life to work.

This paper is the result of a research related to the school culture studies. The school culture is an important theoretical key for the internal comprehension of the day-to-day of the school, by focusing on the interaction of the school´s actors. Our goal was to comprehend the functionalism of the abandonment of teaching in Physical Education (PE) for the school culture. It was an ethnomethodological research and carried out in a school situated in Curitiba – PR, using field diary and biographical interview as instruments for data collection. We observed two classes of PE, one of the 4th and another of the 5th school year. We concluded that the abandonment of teaching in PE is functional to the school culture, being supported by other actors of the school day living.

This paper discusses a human resource management dimension that is rarely integrated with the theme of corporate environmental management: the employees’ empowerment .Indeed, human resources dimensions are considered non-technical factors that directly affect the integration of environmental performance in companies. Among these dimensions of human resources necessary for environmental management, we highlight the empowerment of employees. Thus, this research provides theoretical basis on environmental management in company and on employee empowerment and the integration of these themes. Finally, a framework for an effective corporate environmental management through empowerment is presented. We intend to contribute in this way for management researchers and organizational leaders, within a scope still scarce of theoretical articulations.

This article discusses some trends of the labor in the capitalist society in the context of restructuring of contemporary modes of production, arguing in favor of a point of view that understands the trend of increasing and consolidating form of immaterial labor as a hegemonic type of labor in the knowledge society. It also argues on forms of labor in the tertiary sector and discusses several forms of immaterial labor in the current society. Finally, this paper discusses teachers’ work as one form of immaterial labor related with subjective and emotional aspects of teachers’ identity. It is a theoretical discussion on teachers’ work in the context of contemporary capitalism.

This paper discusses how teachers unions have been singled out for attack because throughout the world they are the most significant barriers to this project of education reform that has been implemented in the last four decades. Teachers unions globally have experienced an astoundingly well-orchestrated, well-financed attack, and resistance elsewhere in the world has been forceful and persistent. This article presents the policies of the major teacher unions in the USA - NEA and AFT - demonstrating the efforts of an emergent resistance of activists who have questioned political actions of both national unions in the teachers battles. At last, the author defends that emergent group of activists must occupy unions in order to change their way of fighting in defense of teachers and public education.

This paper analyzes the relationship between work and education in project of human training in capitalist schools, taking as phenomenon of study the organization of educational work, that is, relations and processes that are established between the subjects of the school (teachers and students) and knowledge seized by them during school life. Therefore, the text was organized in two parts: the first deals with the relationship between work and education as a characteristic phenomenon of the human being, whose historic features cleave the relationship of the work and, as a result, their educational processes; the second part deals with the organization of educational work in capitalist schools, in which we noted that the two main categories of meaning that impart training of the students in the school are employability and discipline to the productive sphere.

Having Sophoclean play Oedipus King as a frame of reference, the purpose of this paper is to discuss the educative proposal conceived to the Greek Man as preparation for life in the polis. Although not intentionally, Sophocles pointed out an ideal of Man which, in his perspective, would fulfill Greek societal demands of that time. Such society was divided between myth and rationality and, as a result, Man found Himself in conflict and lacking direction for His life. Given that, Oedipus’ character represented the ideal behavior of that society, and it also made it possible for citizens to reflect and to discuss social, economic and political transformations taking place at that period. Thus Sophocles came up with a hero who was an educational model and a citizen’s as well. Furthermore, such hero differed from that one of the archaic Greek thought.

This paper aims to present a survey experience which sought to understand the meanings of school reprobation and the elements related to it by students on the last grades of elementary public schools in São João del-Rei, Minas Gerais. Presently, the investigated teenagers attended the regular teaching program and Programa Acelerar para Vencer (PAV), implemented by the state government in 2008. We take as basement some contributions from theoretical and methodological perspectives of interactionism, especially the ethnomethodological aspect. The study showed that meanings given to the school reprobation vary from rejection and belief in its disciplinary power. We noticed by the students’ speeches that reprobation is only seen as a failure by those students who see school as the only way to achieve professional success.

This article describes the ERP planning and implementation process that includes identifying requirements,expectations, benefits, limitations and the ideational images built by the future users. The researchwas qualitative and quantitative descriptive based in the Instituto Federal Minas Gerais (IFMG) case:the first Brazilian public federal institution of technological education to install the ERP’s system. The datawas collected based on free and semi-structured interviews. The images configuration technic use allowedidentifying the user’s images for the ERP software. The positive images represented the success factors andthe negative images were related to aversion system implementation. Generally, the results indicated thatthe IFM' ERP plans of implementation were propitious to build a unique identity. This paper aims also tocontribute with others studies related with ERP implementation in public organizations.

This paper presents reflections on reading and writing, from the research project “Literacy Lab: rethinking teacher training” which aims to establish exchanges between socially vulnerable schools and the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) and contribute to the training of undergraduates in Pedagogy and Special Education, as well as the teachers of the schools involved. Adopting a qualitative methodology based on studies of Bogdan and Bicklen (1994), the project seeks to support the literacy process by proposing reflection on the current pedagogical practices in the early years of elementary school. The results show the existence of practices in elementary school which mostly ignore the creative ability of the students. It was concluded that this project has enhanced the relationship between initial and continuous training of teachers and practices of reading and writing.

The literature review on the subject shows that the advances of technology will require new studies about the internationalization’s process. In spite of that, the influence of the electronic business has progressed in commercial transactions. The global world requires workers who are more and more prepared to face such reality. The enterprises will have to adapt, otherwise they may fail to reduce costs and to improve their logistics. The consumers can have personalized products, while their needs are met in a more comfortable, immediate way and with less intermediates. The electronic markets revolutionize the economy by meeting old needs in a more modern and practical way.

Several studies about school success confirm that a positive teacherstudent relationship can favor a strong engagement to school life. Such studies emphasize the fact that teachers contribute to school success when they combine both a demanding and a supportive attitude towards their students, such attitude arising from a sense of value and trust in their students’ capabilities. This paper examines the different meaning that successful secondary education students give to their academic experience and defines some of the specific features of teaching which help to create a positive school-student relationship.
