The effectiveness of removal of chosen compounds from the mycoestrogens group with the use of coagulation, activated carbon sorption and nanofiltration operated as unit processes or integrated systems was determined during the study. The removal of mycoestrogens by means of coagulation did not exceed 34% and the effectiveness of the process depended on the type of coagulant and its dose. Nanofiltration allowed to remove the considered compounds in the range from 70 to 88% depending on the compound type. On the other hand, during activated carbon sorption, in which powdered carbon of the dose equal 100 mg/dm³ was applied, the degree of removal of mycoestrogens was equal to 94%. The increase of the effectiveness of mycoestrogens removal for lower activated carbon doses, which in lower extent eliminated the investigated compound, allowed to apply post-sorption nanofiltration. Additionally, in such a water treatment system the complete removal of organic substances was obtained. The similar dependence was observed for the integrated coagulation-nanofiltration system.
