To study the effects of delayed irrigation on growth and ratoon of millet (Pennisetum americanum cv. Nutrifeed) in the first harvest and sorghum (Sorghum bicolor cv. Speedfeed), a field experiment was conducted as split plot based on a randomized complete blocks design with three replications in Faculty of Agriculture, Vali-e-Asr University of Rafsanjan, Iran, at summer 2014. Factors consisted of irrigation regime at three levels, including irrigation after 80 (control), 120 and 160 mm evaporation from a Class A evaporation pan as main plots, crop species at two levels, including Nutrifeed (millet) and Speedfeed (sorghum) as subplots and harvest number ( at two levels) as sub-sub plots. At regrowth, all treatments were irrigated as control regime (80 mm evaporation). At 1st harvest, delayed irrigation decreased leaf photosynthetic pigments contents, LAI, SLA, LWR, leaf and stem dry weight and forage yield and increased proline, sucrose and leaf soluble sugars contents at both species. Similar effects of delayed irrigation were observed at regrowth. The highest forage yield belonged to normal irrigation of Speedfeed (9376 kg/ha), however, Nutrifeed showed a better performance at regrowth (4250 and 3816 kg/ha of forage, respectively). Nutrifeed had a better forage quality, owing to a higher leafiness index at both harvests (46.7% and 45.0%, respectively).

To investigate the effect of various densities of wild oat, application time and type of herbicide on wild oat control and yield and yield components of wheat, a split spilt plot experiment was carried out base on randomized complete block design (RCBD) with 3 replications in a field in Fars Province) Marvdasht city) in the cropping year of 2014-2015. The different densities of wild oat (0, 20, 40, 80, 160 and 320 plants m2) as the main plot, two herbicides including mesosulfuron + iodosulfuron + mefenpyr-diethyl (Atlantis18 g a.i. /ha) and clodinafoppropargyl (Topik, 64 g a.i. /ha) as sub-plot and application time (18 (8 leaves) and 23 Zadoks (tillering) stages) as sub-sub plot were considered. According to logistic model (parameter Den50), 127 and 95 wild oats per m² was required to reach a 50% reduction in dry weight of wild oat in clodinafop-propargyl herbicide treatment at 8 and 23 Zadoks stages, respectively, whereas, for 50% reduction in dry weight of wild oat in mesosulfuron + iodosulfuron herbicide treatment were 141 and 149 wild oats/m², respectively. The regrowth of wild oat in clodinafoppropargyl compared to mesosulfuron + iodosulfuron herbicides was higher in tillering compared to 8 leaves in all densities. Hyperbolic model for grain yield showed that in Topik herbicide treatment at both application times, 50% reduction in the yield was observed in 118 and 83 wild oats/m² and in mesosulfuron + iodosulfuron herbicide treatment at both application times, 50% reduction in the yield was observed in 423 and 221 wild oats/m². At higher wild oat densities, of mesosulfuron + iodosulfuron application is recommended at 18 Zadoks stage. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aeromonas is one the gram – negative , non spor – formating rod shaping , facultatively anaerobic and opportunistic bactria that can cause systematic infections, leision and diarrhoea in human. Fairly high bactrial population in distribution system is not only of concern because of affecting consumer health but also it makes it difficult to enumerate coliform bacterium indicator. So, the relationships between aeromonas and heterotrophic bacteria growth with pH, temperature, turbidity, free residual cholornie and DO were determined in this study. ADA- V media was used in presumptive stage to count aeromonas bacteria for the first time in Iran on the basis of 1605 EPA (2001) method and used oxidase tests, trehalose fermentation and indol test in confirmative stage. R2A media was used to count HPC bacteria and other factors measured on the basis of standards. The results showed that positive cases of aeromonas bacteria and HPC increase in higher temperature and turbidity and lower pH. In contrast, positive cases of aeromonas bacteria and HPC decrease while free residual cholorine and DO increase. In addition,no positive case of aeromonas was observed in more than 0.2 mg/L concentration of free residual cholorine.
