New sources in literature have explained that more efficient biosorbents can be developed from natural adsorbents. One of the methods to make these natural adsorbents more efficient is preparation of composites. Hydroxyl (-OH) and amino (-NH2) groups within the structure of chitosan leads adsorbents to have a binding potential with heavy metals. In this study, a composite adsorbent made of chitosan and bentonite clay was prepared. Bentonite clay and chitosan-coated Bentonite clay composite capsules (BC) were characterized in terms of FTIR and SEM analysis. (BC) composite adsorbent was used for the adsorption of Cr(VI) ions from aqueous solution. The effects of some parameters such as pH, adsorbent dosage, adsorbate concentration, temperature and contact time on the adsorption of Cr(VI) on BC were investigated with batch studies. In order to evaluate the experimental data, Langmuir, Freundlich, Scatchard and Dubinin-Radushkevich (D-R) adsorption isotherm models were used for the analysis of adsorption equilibrium. The adsorption process was well fitted to Scatchard adsorption isotherm. While bentonite clay had 11,076 mg/g maximum adsorption capacity, BC composite had 106.444 mg/g maximum adsorption capacity for the removal of Cr(VI) ions (25 C, pH 2, contact time 60 minutes). This study intended to measure the empathy levels of National Athletes. The screening model was used in the study. The study was conducted with 150 athletes in total in the National Athletics Team Camp, aged 21 and 23, 69 female and 81 male. The Empathy Quotient developed by Baron-Cohen and Wheelwright (2004) and validated and verified by Bora and Baysan (2009) was used as the data collection tool. The data was analyzed with SPSS 22 and the confidence level was 95%. According to the Shapiro-Wilk normality analysis, while the Cognitive Empathy scores of the participants had normal distribution (p>0,05); the Empathic Interest-Sympathy, Emotional Reactivity, Social Skills and Empathy Levels did not demonstrate normal distribution (p<0,05). Differences in Cognitive Empathy scores by age and gender were analyzed by the parametric test method, independent samples t-test, and differences in Empathic Interest-Sympathy, Emotional Reactivity, Social Skills and Empathy Levels by age and gender were analyzed by the non-parametric test method, Mann Whitney U. According to the study results, there is no statistically significant difference by gender ((p>0,05). Considering age, there is no statistically significant difference between the participants aged 21 and 23 in terms of Cognitive Empathy, Empathic Interest-Sympathy, Emotional Reactivity, Empathy Level (p>0,05). There is statistically significant difference by Social Skills between the participants aged 21 and 23 (p<0,05). While the average score for age 21 is 68,86, it is 86,33 for age 23. With rapid advances in technology, young children gain rich digital experiences by using various information and communication technologies in the home environment from an early age. Therefore, parents have an important role in selecting appropriate content, providing guidance, and monitoring their children's digital activities. This study aims to investigate the activities of preschool children in digital environments, their screen time and digital footprints, as well as digital parenting roles within their families. The study's sample consists of 628 preschool children and their parents. The study's findings reveal that 97.5% of families have a television at home, 43.45% have desktop computers, 49% have laptop computers, 98.25% have smart phones, and 68% have tablets. Of the children participating in the study, 86% use information and communication technologies such as computers, tablets, or smartphones. Among parents, 68% share photos of their children on digital platforms. Parents also have concerns about the potential harm these technologies pose to children's emotional development (f = 198), as well as the addictive and time-consuming nature of these technologies (f = 165). Regarding parents' views on technology use in early childhood, 45.38% of parents are against it while 33.28% are in support of it, and 21.34% remain undecided. The aim of this study is to investigate the digital game addiction in children between the ages of 9-11. This research, which is a descriptive study, has been conducted with the screening model. A total of 1100 students, which consist of 552 girls and 548 boys, from the 6 state schools (Mehmet Hüsnü Özyeğin, Erol Güngör, Süleyman Türkmani ve Sırrı Kardeş Primary Schools, and Cacabey and 23 Nisan Secondary Schools) affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the province of Kırşehir participated in the research with the method of purposeful sampling. A 14-item digital game addiction scale developed by researchers was used in the study. Percentage, frequency, factor analysis and Chi-square test were used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the conducted analyzes, it is seen that digital game addiction scores change according to gender and age. According to gender, there is a significant difference between girls' low addiction levels and boys' low addiction levels. It can be concluded that addiction level of boys is higher than the level of girls. According to the age, it is seen that the average and high level game addiction decreases while the low level game addiction increases as the age increases. In brief, the level of game addiction decreases as the age increases and this result is not accidental but significant. One of the most effective ways to cope with digital game addiction is to direct children to physical activities.
