ONLINE journalism , *DIGITAL communications , *CENTRALITY , *PUBLIC relations - Abstract
This paper describes the research published during the period 2011-2020 by five leading Spanish peer-reviewed journals of communication, aiming to identify the most common theoretical frameworks and standard theories. A statistically representative sample of the articles published during that period was systematically selected from the five journals of communication ranked as having the greatest continuity and impact according to SJR-Scopus: Profesional de la Información, Comunicar, Communication & Society, Estudios sobre el Mensaje Periodístico and Revista Latina de Comunicación Social. A coding protocol that includes 13 variables and 74 categories was defined and applied to compare the type of theoretical frameworks and the theories in the different subject areas observed. The results show that although almost all the papers studied have a theoretical framework, fewer than half are grounded on recognizable theories. Specifically, journalism and digital communication are the two subject areas whose articles frequently include standard theories: in journalism by the support of classical theories of communication (framing, agenda setting, journalistic professional cultures and roles), and in digital communication by the support of more theoretically dispersed frameworks. Theoretical frameworks developed by literature review are common in other subject areas (such as audiovisual studies, public relations and documentation). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

INDUSTRIAL development projects , *PUBLIC finance , *PERSONAL finance , *PAPER mills , *FACTORIES , *EMINENT domain , *ZONING - Abstract
The incidence of paper mills in the Três Lagoas region, as of 2009, brought a series of commitments and consequences to the settlers of the agrarian reform. With the offer of unlimited tax exemptions, public financing through BNDES and other industrial development programs and projects, the industries established and started the processes for the duplication of their industrial plants. Already, the settlers are at the mercy, therefore, can not obtain access to investments, nor to the financing of public banks and other development agencies. In this perspective, the only source of financing for family agricultural production ends up being the paper mills themselves, through their PDS - sustainable development plans and programs. Only in the settlement where the research was given there are 181 lots, but less than 20 were benefited by the financing. In this sense, the form and the model of financing, the speed and volume of resources contributed are at the absolute and exclusive discretion of the own pulleys, which has social and economic repercussions among the settlers, creating as a zone of imprisonment of the settlers to the paper, here called cages of paper. LEAN construction , *WASTE paper , *WASTE products , *CONSTRUCTION industry , *INFORMATION skills - Abstract
Research shows that there is a significant resources waste in construction, and accordingly lagging in productivity behind the productivity of the global economy and industry in particular. There is also a small number of papers and studies on this waste. On the other hand, a higher productivity level requires small waste of material, energy and other inputs. Therefore, construction companies are deciding to introduce lean as one of the leading methods of waste reduction. This paper deals with the introduction of lean in construction companies in BiH, currently at very low level. Bearing in mind that most construction companies in BiH are small, it concludes that introducing lean and thus reducing the resources waste and increasing productivity and competitiveness requires more information and particularly skills improvements. - Abstract
In this paper we aim to discuss how participants, advisor and student, jointly build understandings about what counts as academic writing during an orientation session, and how these understandings are developed by the student in writing a term paper. The theoretical-methodological approach adopted are the assumptions of linguistic ethnography (RAMPTON; MAYBIN; ROBERTS, 2014; GARCEZ, SCHULZ, 2015), understanding ethnography as theorization (LILLIS, 2008), studies of Academic Literacies (LILLIS; SCOTT, 2007; LEA; STREET, 2014) and the dialogism of the Bakhtin Circle (BAKHTIN, 2016; VOLOCHINOV, 2017). As a result, we recognize that the student brings school writing standards to write his term paper and the negotiation with the advisor leads him to gradually recognize what counts as writing in this literacy practice that involves research. Negotiations about what counts as legitimate for a term paper are also determined by the socio-historical positions that language subjects mutually attribute and by the dialogue established with different interlocutors (advisor, possible reader, academy). Having teaching staff with didactic qualifications in university teaching leads to a measurable improvement in academic skills among students. Previous recommendations on the type and scope of medical didactic qualification measures primarily apply to teaching staff at university and in-patient settings. The situation of primary care medicine, which often employs external lecturers and whose teaching takes place to a considerable extent in decentralized training facilities (teaching practices) is not adequately addressed. Taking into account a survey on the status quo at higher education institutions for General Practice in Germany, recommendations for min- imum standards are made, based on national and international recom- mendations on the content and scope of medical didactic qualification measures. These recommendations include preliminary work by the Personnel and Organizational Development in Teaching (POiL) Committee of the Society for Medical Education (GMA), the MedicalTeachingNetwork (MDN), the Society of University Teaching Staff in General Medicine (GHA) as well as the experiences of the committee members, who hail from the field of general medicine, internal medicine and pediatrics amongst others. This investigation studies the Buena Vista II neighborhood of Villa del Rosario-Norte de Santander, characterized by its displaced population, victim of the Colombian internal armed conflict. It develops a documentary approach that contextualizes the consequences of the conflict and conceptually defines quality of life. Its methodological framework has a mixed approach; qualitative, which recognizes the dynamics and habitability conditions of the population under study and; quantitative, which performs a population characterization from the social, economic and environmental dimensions that allows to identify the quality of life needs of the inhabitants. This research allows us to establish the impact of architecture on the quality of life of the population's victims of the Colombian armed conflict, as an element that determines repair and rehabilitation processes in the context of the post-conflict. - Abstract
This study aims to compare the evidence level of environmental indicators that follow the GRI guidelines, related to the three leading companies in 2012, within the Brazilian pulp and paper industry, Suzano, Klabin and Fibria. To achieve this goal, an analysis of annual sustainability reports and websites of the companies was conducted. The companies primarily reported those aspects related to materials, water, biodiversity and others, while products and services, compliance, and energy were less emphasized. The results show that the three companies presented a low evidence level, with missing or incomplete indicators. Finally, despite the reports presented and classified as A+ and B+, it is possible to conclude that the companies did not include key indicators and presented unorganized information and a lack of standardization. - Abstract
In recent years, some scholarly journals have indicated that they accept rewritten or extended version of a conference paper as long as new content are added to the journal article manuscript and that the original conference paper is included in the references. The extended publishing of conference papers now becomes topic worthy of investigation. This study analyzed the extended works of the conference papers from three major conferences in the fields of information management, i.e., Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)'s ACM Conference on Electronic Commerce (ACM EC), ACM Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (ACM KDD), and ACM International Conference on Information and Knowledge Management (ACM CIKM). Papers from the 2011 meetings were used as the sample to understand to what extent conference papers have been extended into journal articles and other forms and the lag between conference and journal publishing. It also examined the differences between the conference papers and their extended versions (i.e., journal papers) by comparing the changes in authorship, references, article length, tables, and figures. It reveals the current practices of extending conference papers for journal publishing in the information management fields and may help us understand the contemporary scholarly publishing behavior. DURABILITY , *REHABILITATION - Abstract
Based on measurements and research, diagnostics of the condition of a structure aims to provide an answer to the question of what the condition of the structure is, and the necessary steps for reconstruction or rehabilitation. Masonry stone construction is one of the oldest methods of construction of building structures. In spite of that, this type of structures does not have fully defined parameters that influence its behavior. The reason for this is the fact that the properties of masonry stone structures differ depending on the basic material (stone) and binding material (mortar), as well as their combination. The paper presents diagnostics of the condition of masonry structures on the Tabija tower building. Tabija, a low tower for cannons, is a fortification structure from the Ottoman period that is the most completely preserved and was registered for the first time in the city plan from 1717. The structure is in poor condition due to a large number of natural and human factors. The paper will present a detailed visual inspection of the structure, as well as tests conducted in the laboratory and in-situ, the calculation, and decisions and proposals for the rehabilitation and/or reconstruction of the considered building of cultural and historical heritage. This paper presents the freshwater limestones, from tenelija and (Mostar) miljevina, which are intercalated in the Mukoba deposit near Mostar, and their "stone cousins," Posušje miljevina and Tomislavgrad muljika. In the process of diagenesis they acquired a specific orientation and structure (especially tenelija), which gave them specific physical properties (small bulk density, high porosity and permeability), which "classic" limestones used in construction do not have, and which were decisive for the choice of this stone for construction of the Old Bridge and other buildings in the wider area of Mostar and in the area of Posubje municipality, but also in other karst poljes of Herzegovina and southwestern Bosnia, in parts of Central Bosnia, and Miljevina near Foča. The second part of the paper presents the so-called built-in (internal) factors that the builders try to avoid in order for freshwater limestones that are built into numerous stone buildings and/or monuments to avoid complex processes of stone changes, or weathering (decay) of stone due to its interaction with various environmental conditions (external factors). It covers the problems and significance of the choice of stone, the method and (often too small) depth of its extraction from the deposit for the construction of significant buildings, insufficiently long aging (storage) after extraction, incorrect installation (stacking) of the stone in relation to its position in the deposit, as well as various errors in stone processing and execution, along with inadequate maintenance. CARDIOTOXICITY - Abstract
One of the guiding principles of cardio-oncology practice is to minimize the unnecessary interruption of antineoplastic therapy. The overall goal of the specialty is to ensure that cancer patients receive the best possible anticancer therapy safely, while minimizing cancer therapy-related cardiovascular toxicity (CTR-CVT) during oncology care. In this paper, we describe prior and current definitions of CTR-CVT and briefly present the landmark CARDIOTOX registry, as well as corresponding parts of the recently published, first cardio-oncology guideline of the European Society of Cardiology. In our paper, we aim to provide insight into the cardio-oncology-related aspects of precision medicine. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Methods of evaluation of interlaboratory comparison results are prescribed by ISO standards. Ruler is probably one of the most widely used length measuring instrument in the world. For laboratories that plan to be accredited for the calibration of Ruler, the acquisition of a specialized Measuring bench is not economically feasible. Confidence in the measured result depends on the measurement uncertainty, and where deficiencies are observed, the values that contribute to the measurement uncertainty should be investigated. This paper describes an interlaboratory comparison for a small number of laboratories on the example of a Measuring bench for calibrating Ruler and indicates the procedure for problem identification; diagnosis of causes; consideration of solutions; initiation of action for improvement and monitoring of the results of applied solutions. The authors documented the problem and listed the elements that contributed to "Unsatisfactory" result in interlaboratory comparisons. They described the actions they took to overcome the "Unsatisfactory" result, analyzed whether the proposed solutions led to "Satisfactory" result and took actions accordingly. The paper presents the results of the international interlaboratory comparison, which are a confirmation of the competence of the personnel, measuring calibration equipment and calibration method. CHRONIC kidney failure - Abstract
This paper aims to provide a concise guide on how to successfully slow down chronic kidney disease (CKD) progression, with references to the latest evidence and recommendations. The Medline and Web of Science databases were used as the sources of medical literature, based on the combinations of keywords “chronic kidney disease”, “progression”, and “prevention”. The relevant original research papers and current national and international society guidelines were analyzed to extract recommendations and practice modifications for the optimal reduction of kidney disease progression. Regardless of etiology and type, there are certain interventions that have been proven to reduce the rate of CKD progression. Twelve of those will be examined and discussed herein: dietary intervention, anemia therapy, new mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists, inhibitors of sodium-glucose cotransporter-2, treatment of hyperuricemia, appropriate transition of care from pediatric to adult hypertension, role of renal denervation, post-COVID and kidney injury, onconephrology, air pollution, diffusion kurtosis imaging, and dyslipidemia. While chronic kidney disease is by its very nature an entity that inevitably progresses with time, much can be done to reduce the rate of its progression and, by extension, improve both the patient quality of life and the efficiency of healthcare system resource utilization. - Abstract
This paper presents an analysis of the review/replacement process of IFRS 6, taking into account the perspective of various interest groups, expressed in 141 comment letters submitted to public hearing of the Discussion Paper Extractive Activities promoted by the International Accounting Standard Board (IASB). These letters were analyzed following the methodology of content analysis, and the results are supported in institutional theory. The results show that IASB possibly have difficulty implementing its legislative proposal, given its majority rejection by the various interest groups participating in the public hearing, which rely on institutionalized practices based on the methods of successful efforts, total capitalization or area of interest, that conflict with the proposal made by the international body, and it is therefore a scenario where it is believed in maintaining the current status quo. CARBON dioxide mitigation - Abstract
Clean Energy for All Europeans, Green Deal and Fit for 55 at European level and the Piano Nazionale Integrato per l'Energia e il Clima have identified essential decarbonisation goals that are achievable by broadening the audience of actors involved and the ability to innovate in terms of the evolution of products/services and production processes. In this sense, decentralised energy production technologies together with Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) and bottomup initiatives play a strategic role in the establishment of local energy systems. The objective of the paper is to illustrate these dynamisms within the territorial system, and the characteristics of local initiatives and RECs as means of energy transition and economic development. - Abstract
The paper reflects possible "transition" strategies for the industrialised residential building stock considering its systemic nature and current technological availability, with particular reference to digital technologies. Screening of some research on housing in the context of ecological and digital transition is proposed, starting from a critical review of interventions over the past decades, which reveal a fragmented framework of punctual solutions that cannot be codified as organic and replicable strategies. This highlights the research world's focus on broader holistic approaches that look at energy transition as closely related to the transition of the entire building organism and the inhabiting community. In order to avoid complex processes of changes, or weathering (decay) of freshwater limestones embedded in numerous buildings and/or monuments due to interaction with various environmental conditions (external factors), builders have always tried to avoid construction (internal) factors, such as the selection of stone, the method and (often too small) depth of its extraction from the deposit for the construction of significant buildings, insufficient aging (storage) after extraction, improper installation (stacking) of stone in relation to its position in the deposit, as well as mistakes in stone processing and execution, in addition to inadequate maintenance. This paper presents the complex processes of changes, or weathering (decay) of freshwater limestones embedded in buildings and monuments as a result of its interaction with various environmental conditions (external factors), such as: the effects of temperature, humidity and quality of air, winds, precipitation, acidic rain, exhaust gases, micro-particles and organisms in the air and water, harmful salts, radiation, soil, biological colonization, along with the destructive action of man. In this process, the aesthetic deterioration of the stone surface is only a secondary problem compared to the destruction of its structure. The consideration must certainly include the pollution flows and the environment, and meteorological and microclimatic conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

BUILDING stones - Abstract
Deposits of dimension stone (hereinafter: DS) are mostly of heterogeneous composition and non-uniform properties. For the purpose of exploring the DS deposit, it is necessary to perform certain mining work in order to collect data for the determination of: existence, position and shape of the bed, quantity and quality, and the conditions for exploitation of DS. The position and shape of the deposit have a crucial influence on DS exploitation conditions. Discontinuities of different positions, dimensions and shapes were formed as a result of dynamic and chemical processes in the rocks. The exploitation of DS from the deposit is performed by obtaining as geometrically regular and as large in size blocks as possible. The DS exploitation should be harmonized with the position and shape of the deposit as well as discontinuities for the purpose of obtaining the highest possible exploitation of stone. However, a special requirement of construction is to obtain the DS, primarily of uniform appearance and other properties. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize mining works for the purpose of obtaining and installing DS of a uniform appearance, as described and shown on several examples in this paper. The term intangible cultural heritage has begun to be used with the convention for the safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO and has been conceptualized. Intangible Cultural Heritage is defined; as practices, representation, expressions, skills which are defined by communities as part of their cultural heritages, and tools and cultural environments related to them. The fact that intangible cultural heritage is preserved to the extent it is transmittedrequires evaluating the agenda related to education. Starting from this point, the main purpose of this study is to investigate elements of intangible cultural heritage included in Turkish language course books of grades 6 and 8. This study which tries to determine whether Turkish language course books fulfil the duty that they take is a qualitative research, and it has been evaluated through document review method. According to the findings; Intangible cultural heritage elements included in the UNESCO list and in the national inventory of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and included in both class books: Minstrel Tradition and the Semah Ceremony; only grade 6 element is Karagöz; Grade 8 items only; Kırkpınar Oil Wrestling Festival, Traditional Tile Mastery, Alevi-Bektashi Ritual Semah, Marbling: Turkish Paper Decoration Art, Dede Qorqud Heritage: Epic Culture, Folk Tales and Music, Nawruz. Vaporised hydrogen peroxide sterilization (VH2O2) can be used to sterilize medical devices. Sterilization processes can be monitored using physical, biological and chemical indicators (CIs). An acceptable Sterility Assurance Level is achieved by exposure to specified parameters of each process variable eg 134oC for 3min in steam sterilization. Alternatively, a prescribed dose, an integration of intensity of sterilizing agent and time, is applied; an approach used in radiation sterilization. In steam sterilization Fo is also used to express an equivalent heating time at 121.1oC. Fo is a measure of the “dose” applied, temperature being an expression of “intensity” of the sterilizing agent, moist heat. In VH2O2 sterilization the area beneath the H2O2 concentration curve is integrated and expressed as a dose with dimensions mg∙s/L, concentration representing the “intensity” of the microbicidal agent. - Abstract
Just over 10 years after the creation of the Italian National Transport Fund (FNT) and the subsequent start of a new process to improve the efficiency of local public transport, a critical analysis of the regulatory instruments introduced in Italy for this purpose and the related consequences on the equity in the distribution of resources between regions was developed in this paper, highlighting the need for substantial changes. Unfortunately, as emerges from the bibliographic analysis, current knowledge does not allow us to have tools and models to appropriately quantify the real financial needs of each region in the sector. Therefore, some aspects are identified that research will need to investigate further to support a correct distribution of the FNT’s resources. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
In this paper we will describe the former boundaries of the cadastral municipalities in the Slovenian-Italian cross-border area between the Socerb castle and the Rosandra valley. Today, the villages of Socerb and Beka are located on the Slovenian side of the border, and Mačkolje (Caresana), Prebeneg (Prebenico), Dolina (San Dorlingo della Valle), Boljunec (Bagnoli della Rosandra), Kroglje (Crogole), Gornji Konec (Bagnoli Superiore) and Botač (Bottazzo) on the Italian side. At the time of the Franciscan cadastral survey in this area (from 1818 to 1822), i.e., at the time of the Austrian Empire, these villages, except for Mačkolje, belonged to the district of Fünfenberg, which was part of the province of Istria. Therefore, the same type of cadastral municipality boundary marks from the Franciscan or a revised cadastral survey can be found here as elsewhere in the present-day territory of Slovenia. In addition to the twelve boundary stones with inscriptions, we will also present two natural boundary marks: inscriptions carved on the entrance walls of a cave and inscriptions carved on the smooth rock wall. We will also show that the boundary stones in the Primorska region, which have the same shape as the former cadastral municipality boundary stones, could also have once marked former common lands of agrarian communities, here called jusi, and these were not always the same as the cadastral municipality boundaries. - Abstract
Essentially as a consequence of the COVID epidemic, there has been recently a large decrease in car registrations in Europe, accompanied by a substantial change in the evolution process of the split of car registrations between the three types of cars equipped with different propulsion systems that are offered on the market. There has been a fall in the proportion of the cars equipped with internal combustion engine (ICE), while there has been a boost to the production, and thus a push for electric car sales, both battery powered (BEV) and hybrid (HEV and PHEV). By using a dynamic model of competition between these three types of cars, this paper explains that this evolution process tends to a situation in which the car market in Europe will be dominated by hybrid cars, with ICE cars and BEV cars in marginal roles. Relying on aggregate-level or cross-sectional survey data, extant research suggests that economic inequality erodes social trust. In this article we distinguish between cross-sectional and longitudinal components of inequality, using a sample of approximately 140,000 individuals in 19 countries over a thirty year period (1990- 2020). Accounting for individual-level predictors as well as the direct and conditional effect of income, findings suggest a strong negative association between inequality and trust among countries. Individuals from countries with higher levels of inequality systematically report lower levels of trust, but evidence is less clear to substantiate that individuals are less trusting of one another during times of higher inequality. In the second part of the paper, we reassess these findings using subnational data for Spain between 2008 and 2022. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper analyses Spanish citizens' views of public service expenditure, related to their socio-demographic characteristics, values and political economic conjunctures. The study's contributions are: 1) Bringing the analysis up to the present time, including the COVID and post COVID periods; 2) Analysing the determinants by using a multivariate regression analysis; and 3) Studying the relationship between assessments of public service expenditure and actual spending, identifying significant patterns, especially in education and healthcare. The results obtained are robust, especially for welfare policy assessments. Important sociological changes in the assessment of public policies are identified and additional evidence is provided about the highly important role played by cultural values ("symbolic predispositions") with respect to "self-interest" in explaining the assessment of public spending. The access of rural societies to welfare opportunities and resources is at the core of policy and research agendas. The persistent ruralurban gap increases the risks of exclusion and is a challenge that rural dwellers tackle by bolstering their mobility to access labour markets, resources and services. The car has become a vector in the connections and transformations that sustain rural life; however, this mobility is also a source of new fractures in social and territorial cohesion. This paper explores how the rural mobility system has been shaped and analyses its impact on these societies. The results suggest integrating the issue of mobility into rural policies from a more complex sociological perspective, addressing demographic challenges, regional development and territorial cohesion. The study analyses the explanatory order of variables such as political identification, political efficacy and electoral participation in the political system from a multi-directional perspective. It also investigates how these variables are in turn influenced by segmentation variables, including age, gender, income, educational level, social class and religiosity. The paper examines the structural relationships between socio-demographic profiles and voter turnout, considering the potential influence of political efficacy and party identity. Structural models were applied using data from the CIS 3226 Survey. The findings indicate the significant role of political identification in explaining perceived political efficacy and electoral behaviour, the effect of political efficacy on voter turnout, and the changing influence of classical segmentation variables. SEPULCHRAL monuments , *INSCRIPTIONS - Abstract
The Imperial Roman military consisted of a vast collection of armies and overlapping sub-communities, causing it to be a multi-layered entity. Scholars have explored its social dynamics since the 1980s, with epigraphic material – particularly of a funerary nature – providing valuable insight. The provinces of southeastern Europe, such as Dalmatia, are home to a great deal of well-catalogued archaeological and epigraphical material which could contribute to these studies, however, they are often left unconsidered in scholarship from outside the region. This paper conducts an epigraphical and archaeological analysis of the Romano-Dalmatian inscribed funerary monuments of the Seventh Legion (Legio VII Claudia pia fidelis) to study the construction of identity and community. It is demonstrated that Legio VII was home to a complex network of servicemen intersected by various social, familial, legal, and military roles, relations, and symbols, which was rejuvenated and negotiated through the textual, sculptural, and spatial dimensions of funerary monuments. Moreover, these very funerary monuments were a significant part of this network, acting as media of identity and community (re)construction and (re)negotiation. Not only does this shed light on the social dynamics of Roman military communities, but it also reinforces the image which has emerged in recent scholarship of funerary monuments as socially constructive media. Finally, this paper demonstrates the value of theoretically engaged analyses of material from, and scholarship concerning, Romano-Dalmatia. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

ENERGY storage - Abstract
This paper examines the technical and economic sustainability aspects of energy transition on two different scales. On the one hand, it investigates the topic of RES in the national energy system, describing structure, limits and possibilities. On the other hand, it presents the energy requalification case study of a small public building as an exemplary case of a systemic approach that adopts extraordinary solutions in terms of design process. The aim of the paper is to propose a methodological approach to improve site potential, assuming that short-term strategies must necessarily involve all the actors (including end-users) through local energy storage systems. Jewish heritage tourism is a relatively new form of niche tourism which appeared in Europe in the 1990s, because of a renewed understanding of cultural and historical values of Jewish heritage. By its inclusion in tourism, Jewish heritage has become a visible component in destinations, which has led to the renovation of synagogues, opening of Jewish museums, organization of festivals, and also to the gentrification of neglected Jewish quarters in many European cities. The goal of this paper is to analyse the most common methods, selection of stakeholders, elements, research locations and spatial scope used in studies of Jewish heritage tourism. The analysis includes 28 scientific papers from databases and focuses on the research methods used in those papers. The results show that the most common methods used in studies of Jewish heritage tourism are content analysis and interviews. These methods have proven to be suitable for determining the state and representation of Jewish heritage in each destination, while for a higher level of integration of Jewish heritage in tourism, other methods are more appropriate. ECOTOURISM , *STANDARD of living , *COMMUNITIES , *SATISFACTION , *TOURISM research , *SUSTAINABILITY - Abstract
Nature-based tourism is a type of tourism that is primarily concerned with the direct enjoyment of relatively undisturbed natural phenomena. Today, it is among the types of tourism which are characterised by significant growth rates at the global level. It has considerable growth potential and its development can concurrently ensure tourist satisfaction with the nature experience, profit for tourism providers, funds for environmental protection and an improvement in living standards in local communities. Nevertheless, it is also important to be aware of the potential negative implications of nature-based tourism development and to continuously manage all aspects of sustainability. This paper aims to determine the main study aspects of nature-based tourism, the most common methodological approaches and the most important characteristics of its contemporary development. For this purpose, an analysis of recent empirical research on nature-based tourism was conducted, and a total of 41 original scientific papers were included in the analysis. The four study aspects derived from this analysis contribute to determining the general characteristics of nature-based tourism's contemporary development, the prerequisite factors for this development, and the effects it has on a given area. - Abstract
Recent developments in medical education have created increasing challenges for medical teachers which is why the majority of German medical schools already offer educational and instructional skills trainings for their teaching staff. However, to date no framework for educational core competencies for medical teachers exists that might serve as guidance for the qualification of the teaching faculty. Against the background of the discussion about competency based medical education and based upon the international literature, the GMA Committee for Faculty and Organizational Development in Teaching developed a model of core teachingcompetencies for medical teachers. This framework is designed not only to provide guidance with regard to individual qualification profiles but also to support further advancement of the content, training formats and evaluation of faculty development initiatives and thus, to establish uniform quality criteria for such initiatives in German-speaking medical schools. The model comprises a framework of six competency fields, subdivided into competency components and learning objectives. Additional examples of their use in medical teaching scenarios illustrate and clarify each specific teaching competency. The model has been designed for routine application in medical schools and is thought to be complemented consecutively by additional competencies for teachers with special duties and responsibilities in a future step. The paper proposes some critical reflections relating to rail transport of people in Europe, with an indepth analysis on the Italian context. Some large numbers relating to high-speed railways and regional railways are compared, highlighting the limits and inequities of the policies pursued by some states that have preferred the logic of corridors to widespread networks. Therefore, the opportunity to change strategy is affirmed, adopting a different approach in the development policies of railway transport, inspired by territorial, economic, social and environmental equity (Fair-Sustainable Transport). The railways system of Calabria is analysed as a representative case study. Through a qualitative-quantitative analysis, the most significant critical issues are highlighted; 2 alternative scenario designs are then illustrated (new high-speed line, upgrading of infrastructures and services on the existing network), with related performance and cost characteristics. PSYCHOSOMATIC disorders , *INFORMED consent (Medical law) , *PSYCHOLOGY of the sick , *HEALTH insurance , *EVIDENCE-based medicine - Abstract
The concept of quaternary prevention was integrated in 1999. into the international WONCA vocabulary as actions taken to identify patients at risk of overprescribing drugs and diagnostic procedures that would do them more harm than good. The aim was to determine the place and role of quaternary prevention in primary care. The papers published until 31.12.2022. have been analyzed. We searched Medline, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Scopus, Google Scholar, Science Direct, Mendeley, Serbian medical journals, books, strategies, and doctoral theses. The terms we used were: quaternary prevention, general medicine, overmedication, and diagnostic procedures. We restricted ourselves to works written in Serbian, English, and Croatian. Search has been performed from 01.09.2022. to 31.12.2022. Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review (PRISMA) scale parts were used to determine the validity of the papers collected. A total of 1899 papers were identified. We did not find metaanalyses, systematic literature reviews, and randomized studies. A total of 194 were analyzed. Highlighted as relevant 36. Quaternary prevention in primary care refers to the overuse of radiological and laboratory examinations, antibiotics, screening, individual patient access, good communication, reliance on evidencebased medicine, the workload in teams of selected doctors, and prompt consent to patient requests. Some sick patients are undiagnosed, concerned about their health, with functional problems, psychosomatic disorders, and unusual behavior during illness. Quaternary prevention has a place in breast and prostate cancer screening, immunization, mental health and osteoporosis drug marketing, hypertension, prediabetes, and dyslipidemia, a private health insurance program, and the use of highresolution diagnostic technology. The most powerful way to avoid unnecessary medical procedures is to consistently apply evidencebased medicine. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, we approach some of Luigi Nono's creative processes as a way of "composing by ear", or "com-posição" (wordplay in Portuguese: to compose at the same time to position oneself, politically speaking) as a reciprocal positioning regarding the other, based on an open and engaged listening process. In addition, we stress the composer's interest in experimentation with text, voice, and space, in the creative-collaborative process with performers and technicians, and experimentation inside the electroacoustic studio. We highlight a few important remarks found in his writings and how his ideas came to fruition in his compositions, in particular in the works "A floresta é jovem e cheia de vida" (1965-66) and "A Pierre. Dell'azzurro silenzio, inquietum" (1985). We understand that for Nono the composition process associated with the listening process - the idea of "composing by ear" - became a vital characteristic in his late period - especially in his mixed works -, because it allows the emergence of unpredictable and unfamiliar sonic results.
