Лексика тувинского языка, связанная с родильным обрядом, как и в других тюркских языках, представляет собой относительно замкнутую и обособленную лексико-семантическую группу, которая складывалась веками. Но со временем многие лексемы стали уходить или исчезать из активного словарного запаса современного тувинского языка, а другие стали использоваться на ограниченной территории или стали вытесняться описательными новообразованиями. Актуальность исследования обусловлена отсутствием в тувиноведении работ, содержащих фронтальное обследование лексики родильного обряда в рамках представлений тувинцев о мире. Цель статьи — анализ лексики родильного обряда в тувинском языке в контексте описания действий самого обряда, что может дать ценную не только лингвистическую, но также историко-этнографическую информацию. Имеющиеся материалы и отдельные работы по данному вопросу требуют систематизации и корректировки с привлечением для анализа значительного языкового материала. Источниковую базу исследования составили полевые материалы автора, собранные во время комплексных экспедиций с 1999 по 2019 гг., а также лексические и фразеологические материалы, извлеченные из словарей тувинского языка, из трудов этнографов, лингвистов. Результаты. На основе проведенного исследования автор приходит к выводу, что лексика родильного обряда включает несколько групп, отражающих следующие действия: божудуушкун ‘прием родов’, уруг хини кезер ‘обрезание пуповины ребенка’, арыглаашкын ‘очищение’, чаш уруг чуур ‘купание ребенка’, уруг сыртыы шыгжаар ‘захоронение последа ребенка’. Значительную часть лексики родильного обряда в тувинском языке составляют собственно тувинские слова с общетюркской основой или фразеологизмы. Понятия, связанные с родильным обрядом, передаются эвфемизмами, чтобы обезопасить мать и уберечь ребенка от злых духов или «дурного глаза». Значения некоторых слов, связанных с родильными обрядами, подверглись сужению или расширению.

Введение. Развитие советской калмыцкой поэзии в 1930-е гг. сопровождалось освоением новых жанров, в том числе заимствованных из русской советской литературы. Одним из таких жанров стала литературная баллада, которая, не имея аналогов в калмыцком фольклоре, ориентировалась на традицию русской советской баллады, активно осваивалась поэтами в 1960–1970-е гг., а в 1980-е гг. наметилось снижение авторского внимания к этому жанру. Актуальность исследования определена малоизученностью калмыцкой баллады прошлого века. Проблемность обусловлена выяснением места этого жанра в истории калмыцкой литературы, выявлением круга авторов баллады. Цель. Изучение общей эволюции калмыцкой баллады не входит в задачи статьи, которая ограничена рассмотрением поэтики репрезентативных баллад Д. Кугультинова и М. Хонинова для определения состава и функционирования этого жанра в поэзии этих авторов в 1960–1980-е гг. Методы. Сравнительно-сопоставительный метод позволяет определить авторские стратегии поэтов в области избранного ими жанра баллады, а также роль переводчиков в интерпретации оригинального текста для русскоязычного читателя. Результаты. В калмыцкой поэзии советского периода литературная баллада не стала ведущим жанром, несмотря на обращение к ней ― эпизодическое или постоянное ― ряда поэтов в разные периоды их творчества ― Г. Даваева, Б. Дорджиева, М. Нармаева, Л. Инджиева, Б. Сангаджиевой, А. Балакаева, В. Нурова. Среди баллад особо выделяются три баллады Д. Кугультинова (1970–1980-е гг.), более десяти баллад М. Хонинова (1960–1970-е гг.). Несмотря на то, что самим Д. Кугультиновым баллады не маркированы, эти стихи сохраняют признаки жанра как со стороны формы, так и со стороны содержания, носят лиро-эпический характер, философичны и дидактичны в тематическом ракурсе: борьба добра и зла, морально-нравственные конфликты, сила художественного слова. Военная баллада М. Хонинова опирается на традиции русской военной баллады с ее героикой, патриотизмом, жертвенностью, темой исторической памяти, автобиографизмом. При этом оба поэта сохраняют особенности калмыцкой версификации, в основном анафоры (единоначатия). Балладный стих в поэзии двух поэтов прошлого века не имел строгой связи с определенным метром, строфикой и рифмовкой, но включал обязательную анафору, что подтверждают примеры стихотворений обоих поэтов. Заметна роль переводчиков в актуализации жанрового потенциала калмыцких авторов. Выводы. Изучение калмыцкой баллады прошлого века позволяет выявить заимствованный жанр в истории калмыцкой литературы, его генезис, состав и функционирование в 1960–1980-е гг., соотношение формы и содержания, национальный вектор на примере избранных авторов.

The article describes ethno-confessional processes in present-day Tuva and the spiritual revival that began in the 1990s. The paper discusses and examines the formation of a new cultural and moral system and the youth’s actual value paradigms. The authors emphasize the importance of preservation of the spiritual heritage of the past, including ethnic and religious forms of Tuvan traditional culture. The article also examines the relationships between religion and ethnicity, the peculiarity of Tuva as a multiconfessional region with quite a variety of religions. On the basis of the authors’ research, the current state of religiosity is described, including the phenomenon of religious syncretism. Thus, the current polyconfessional picture of religious life in the Republic of Tuva also determines prospects of further processes that take place as part of the situation. Polyconfessionality is quite a positive phenomenon which testifies of freedom of spiritual choice. The characteristic feature of modern Tuva’s religious life is that amid a significant growth in the numbers of believers and adherents of the historic ethnoconfessional communities, there are a number of confessions that had been unknown before. And those undoubtedly influence the spiritual, cultural, social and ethnopolitical processes in the region. Modern society must be competent enough to communicate with the diverse confessions, which requires that such phenomena be subject to comprehensive studies.

The article examines felt artworks from Russia’s museum collections representing the traditional material culture of Mongolian nomads, i.e. household and other items. Considering the cultural heritage of the Republic of Kalmykia, the author reveals the structure and contents of its museum collections. Those require further comprehensive studies that - in the context of museology - would combine methods of art criticism, history and ethnoculturology. It was relevant for the comparative research to examine the ethnic traditions of felt craft. Pieces of artistic handicraft of Mongolian peoples are represented in the museum collections as follows: Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography (the Kunstkamera), Russian Museum of Ethnography, Zaya Pandita Museum of the Kalmyk Scientifi c Center of the RAS and Palmov Kalmyk National Museum. Due to historical circumstances, cultural heritage of nomads in the museum funds of the Republic of Kalmykia is still incomplete and is characterized by somewhat ‘fragmented nature’. This makes the task and experience of learning and scientifi c cataloguizing of items of traditional art inherent to Mongolian nomads in other museums of Russia extremely important. Comparative analysis of the artistic heritage will reveal the uniqueness of the local folk art - closely associated with livestock herding and breeding - in more detail.

The article provides an overview of Buddhist paintings stored by the Kalmyk Scientific Center of the RAS. The object of research is the traditional pictorial art of Kalmykia. Buddhist iconography is characterized by certain compositional fundamentals, iconometry, symbolism of lines and properties of the canonic images that were implemented taking the form of a religious ceremony. Since icon-painters never autographed their works, monuments of Buddhist fine arts are basically anonymous to meet the canonical requirements. An image created by an ordained icon-painter zurachi or sculptor urun with due account of the traditional (canonical) performance technique - naturally became sacred. When it comes to historical and cultural studies of the 19th - early 20th century art of Kalmykia, one should keep in mind the regional peculiarities of religious life mainly determined by the actual ethno-cultural landscape. The mass and official conversion of the Oirat-Kalmyks to Buddhism in the 16th - early 17th cc. was followed by quite a long period during which corresponding professional knowledge and skills were acquired and accumulated by representatives of Kalmyk khuruls - Buddhist monasteries. Development of the national style was accompanied by transformation of the Tibetan iconographical canon through the prism of indigenous ethnic aesthetics and view of the world. This determined the structure of the Kalmyk Buddhist pantheon which proved an ethnic Central Asian version of the latter - largely common for Tibetans and Mongols but containing separate local distinct features. Kalmyk monasteries gave rise to the regional school of easel hieratic painting and sculpture. The study aims to identify and describe the peculiarities of Kalmyk icon-painting which introduced ornamental motifs into Buddhist iconography. From the perspective of the canon, the paper reveals the local features of composition, proportions, color and attributes of Kalmykia’s Buddhist art objects. Decorativeness of paintings consisting in application of ornaments around canonical images and plots is inherent of the ethnic hieratic art. This was mainly characteristic of the late period of its development and was often accompanied by certain breakaways from conformities of Buddhist pictorial art. The long artistic process of acquiring and accumulating professional knowledge in the sphere of Buddhist pictorial art was due to the two trends, namely the canonical and folklore ones which are perceivable enough in the context of iconography. The folklorization of the canon originating from the active interactions of the diverse traditions reshapes the style-developing process in Buddhist art which is influenced by ethnic culture. The interaction between the canon and the national tradition set forth in the local peculiarities of artistic process determines the emphasized decorativeness of a picture. This is expressed by introduction of ornamental motifs and, in particular, in the interpretation of the conventional landscape of hieratic paintings. The comprehensive study of the mentioned works comprises methods of art criticism, history, ethno-cultural studies within the framework of museology and characterizes the local Kalmyk school (tradition) of icon-painting. The subject of research are pieces of Buddhist pictorial art from the collections of the Zaya Pandita Museum of Kalmyk Traditional Culture created at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
